Very bad when i did a dispute to get a refund from a lawyer he made me wait for 10 months and then he ignore me. all he had to do was remove my tickets . he had every excuse and no court date nothing.

i told this bank and my lawyer try to refund my money and the bank ignored . very unprofession,They choose the one with the most money and help them more then the people who has less and asking for a refund .

please get out of this bank . they discriminate every thing. These claim dept not even a name nothing . they want us to invest well we better have customer service and big money you wont get back because you have less money.

In New york it was peoples bank now its MT bank and Federal bethpage bank now it four leaf not good racist bank . they hold your information and sell it.

I recently loss my home on November 26, 2023. My insurance company deem my home a total loss from fire. Once I received my dwelling check from my insurance company, I sent it priority mail to M&T bank Loss Mitigation Department. They received the check.

I was told by representative on Friday, February 2, 2024 that the check had been overnighted on this day.

However, that was not the case on Monday that the check had not been mailed or overnighted and they didn’t know when it would mailed. Then she goes to tell me that it will mailed out on the Wednesday, February 7, 2024 by regular mail.

This is poor communication on their part. I ask to speak to someone higher, but she said that they were busy. The representative kept telling me that she would someone to call. That’s a lie. They need…

I sent a $5000 cashiers check in the mail on 12/16/23. As of 1/11/24, the check has not been applied to my auto loan. I found out through my bank (Wells Fargo), where I got the cashiers check, that M&T Bank processed/cashed my cashiers check on 12/23/23, and it was put in the M&T LOCKBOX.

This check should have been applied to my account already, and I want to know why it has not.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to reach out because me & my great grandfather have been dealing with the Middletown Pa branch office ( Christina & Cory) & also the Fraud Department. (Alexis) Employee ID ACI4I, we have been told completely different information & this is due to my great grandfathers account being locked. If this is one company why are we being told 2 different things.. My great grandfather cannot access his funds and has vision loss and also other health concerns related to high ammonia levels… If my great grandfather goes into the hospital for any reason because he cannot get his medication, food & water that he needs, I’ll be filing a law suit!!!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous and someone needs to get back to me ASAP!!!

I have been dealing with the customer service mortgage assistance program and the underwriters for over a month. I was approved for a loan deferment to put my past due amounts on the back of the loan. They "said the agreement was sent out on August 29th to my home address and my email".

I have been complaining to them that I have not received the plan neither by mail or email. I have contacted them every couple of days to no avail. The signed agreement is due back, Tuesday, September 12th. They keep telling me the escalation process takes from 3-5 business days.

To know fault of my own, I will miss the deadline date!

I'm filling out this complaining about the M&T bank on 3500 main st, Amherst ,NY 14226. On Friday 09-01-2023 myself and my mom we went to cash out a IRS check and withdraw some cash from her account but we were treated totally different by a front end teller which refused to cash out her check and

threatened my mom and me in a high voice and told us to get out of the bank. We were shocked to see some employees in this location treat the customers in wrong way. I will never take my business to this location anymore and tell my community people to not to go here at all to cash out their checks or open an account.

I have open checking account online, and I make some check deposit, then one day my account got hold due to the check maybe will not get pay, and ask me to wait, then all the chekc got clear, and they just keep hold my money, has been 4 month, try to get my money back, and they can’t even give my any info, and

Completely dissatisfied with no customer service assistance. Attempted to payoff a loan in the local branch who was not able to accept payment with certified funds. Certified funds then overnighted to address provided in loan payoff letter and after 7 business days still not reflecting as paid.

Loan statement has a non working phone number. Complete disaster in every way with this institution.

I am talking on behalf of Carole S and I am also the who is paying our loan for RV since April 2022 to September 2022 until we both had to have disability from surgery. Yes we are behind and we have been trying hard to pay the balance off.

We just got all different answers for different people. We went to the bank as we were told to pay in with credit card on 04/04/2023 and it was default on 4/27/23. Tom Mundier from recovery department told us we can’t pay with credit card after it was default.

But we went to the bank three weeks Beaufort wit was default. He told Carole to pay 9 month plus late fee and reinstatement but he told me 10 month with plus plus as per bank policies. I asked him nicely and sincerely if we could have copy all the fees and copy of bank policies in our hand stated…

I could not update, the little circle kept spinning. I could not access my accounts.

Also, my debit card was "flagged" even though it was noted that I was on vacation and the vacation location was listed. I could not get to any of my money while on vacation. Very unhappy.

I make mobile deposits a check and they put my account on hold cause they believe the check is not going get pay, but after couple days check got clear and they still hold my account for no reason,and I call customer service, all they do is like kick ball, keep ask to call back in couple day later, is just so radius and bad service, and their customer service never help what customer need, always say the same word, and passby,so bad bad experience to bank with them.

This is got to be the worst bank I've ever remotely dealt with. I had an issue with eBay and they ended up pulling money out of my account without me knowing, so I notified M and T they told me that it could take up to 30 days for the dispute, but

till then they would Refund me my money and I won't get charged for any over draft fees. Not even a week later not only did they not refund me they just closed the Dispute without even notifying me, and then when I asked them to open the claim backup because it's only been a week , and it wasn't settled yet they refuse to.

Never,ever use this bank, please don't make the same mistake I did.

Two weeks ago, I called in about some financial problems with my loans. I was able to get an extension and I was told that my auto pay would have been canceled for this month and I could make a manual payment, and that a check would be written for the other one as a payment.

The check bounced so I made my own payment when I had the money the next day I did not expect them to take out the check as a retry payment, I was not notified that they would be a retry payment. My husband and I have had United corporate bank, United bank, people’s United bank, now M&t bank. I’m writing a wrong done to my daughter (also have had the same bank). She was supposed to close on a condo, tomorrow.

It’s been 3 weeks since the bank started the paperwork. Now the day before the closing, your bank says, it will be another Week! We have furniture delivered,washer-dryer, and a moving company! This is not a good way to do business.

In early December, I purchased airline tickets using my M&T points. Since this was the first time I used my travel points, I called and asked how it worked and if was there anything I should be aware of. The answer was no, not really.

On January 28th, flying from Rochester to NYC, my flight arrived in NYC about 10 minutes late and picked up my luggage and was riding the airport tram to All Nippon Airways when they called me to see where I was. I told them I was five minutes from their gate and on the tram. They stated it was too late and they would not accept my luggage and could not forward the luggage to me if they let me on the plane. M&T took over my mortgages with the acquisition of People's United Bank. I do the auto pay on my mortgage from my checking, which is held at M&T also. Unlike Webster or People's, M&T will NOT check your balance before transferring the money. So they can't write software (or simply make more money by not adding the functionality) to confirm that your checking balance will cover the mortgage before initiating the transfer. And it's weird because it takes at least 24 hours to debit and then another day to credit back to the checking! It's the same bank!

Thank goodness I have a low rate, because it's annoying as all heck.

On 01/18/2023 a transaction was on my bank statement for$1500 that I did not submit. I filed a dispute #17926359 for an Unauthorized transaction. After many phone calls trying to explain what was incorrect on the banks part, I received a letter on 01/30/2023 that my claimed was denied.

I requested to receive the documents used to make that decision. No documents have been received. This is a substantial amount of money for me to lose. If I made this transaction who received it. Please investigate this claim for me.

Went to get a Notary at Ingleside Branch in Maryland, it was 10AM, I was told that There is a meeting going on and I should come back in the Afternoon. I went back around 2:00 PM waited for 330Min.

Ann Associate took me in the cabin asked to wait, after another 15Min. Associated came back and suggested that I should go to UPS Store to get the Notary. After 20 Years of being Loyal Customers, If I need to go to UPS for Notary, why should I keep my accounts with M & T very unpleasant experience

Complain against Kevin Saeedi at M&T Bank Branch, 51 West Edmonston Drive Rockville MD 20852. 20pm I used the drive through to deposit 5 deposits to my Account. Kevin Saeedi who was the teller at that time picked up the deposits from the window and returned it through the deposit drawer saying I have more that 2 deposits and I should park my car and come inside to deposit the checks.

Since I was running out for an emergency, I pleaded to take the deposits for this time. He points blankly refused my request. After parking the car at the parking lot, I went inside the bank and complaint to Shantel Hinds-Clarke and pointed out that the branch was very quiet with absolutely no customers and Kevin Saeedi’s action was unacceptable.

There are two drive throughs but there were no other customers…

The M&T branch on center st in southington refused to deposit my check in my accounts with M&T bank. I handed them 3deposit slips filled out with the amounts , the account numbers, and all the pertinent information required on the deposit forms and was told it cannot be done.

I’ve previously done all my banking in the stop & shop branch and NEVER had a problem with this in the past. The stop & shop branch is closing so I thought I’d start using the only other branch available to me.

The check I wanted distributed into the accounts is my paycheck and the company I work for uses the same bank. I will DEFINITELY CHANGE BANKS.

My Father died in 2018. His name is still on the loan at M&T which to my understanding should have been removed after the death certificate was received by the bank.

However, my Mom and I are on the deed to the house. My Mom lives in a senior community and I and my husband live in the house. I despise M&T. I have had several issues with this bank.

For instance, I know it takes 5 business days to change dates and to update information. I called January 3rd to see if I could change payment for January which was supposed to be drafted on January 10th but I need it drafted on the 19th and I am fine with extra fees for this change.

First the automated voice told me I could do this online but when I tried to sign in it didn't recognize my Father's info, nor my Mom's, nor mine so I called back…

I went into the lobby at M and T Bank on Enfield St in Enfield,CT yesterday just before 1:30PM. Two teller windows were open. People were being served at those 2 windows. 40 minutes later the same people were at the teller windows as when I walked in.

People were walking out because they couldn't wait any longer. The wait was ridiculous. There needs to be a better way to streamline your service to customers. Long transactions should be in a separate area. If I continue to experience this issue I will transfer my accounts to another Bank.

I had an amount wired into my checking account. I went to withdraw a smaller amount and I was denied and they told me I had to wait for it to clear but when you log onto my account, it says available the whole amount for immediate withdrawal payments or transfers, and I was still denied.

I made the final car loan payment n September, 2022. At that time I requested that the Title be mailed to me with a tracking number. I made this request due to the fact that I had problems receiving correspondence from M&T bank.

I never received the title. They did not mail it with a tracking number. Despite several e-mails back and forth. they insist that the title was mailed. They claim they cannot trace it because it was not mailed with a tracking number. This is inexcusable.

The bank held the title and it is their responsibility to see to it that I receive it. They now claim they will send me a payoff letter so that I can obtain a duplicate title from motor vehicle. I'll be surprised if I receive the payoff letter.

App never works. Account info not up to date. I have had nothing but problems with this bank. Never did anything like this happen with people bank. I can not get on my account. I can not reset my password.

It tells me I have money in my account when I don’t. I’m tired of not being able to use my app. Of having my card declined, of overdrawing my account and having to use my credit card because the bank card doesn’t work. This bank sucks.

Requested m&t Palisades Department to change my due date because I have so much bills in the beginning of the month. I spoke to someone named Andy in that department he said he was going to change the due date and it will take a one month to process it is now November and my due date hasn't been changed and sadly I've been accumulating late fees, I filled out all the necessary documents in July.

I remotely deposited my paycheck last night and woke up to find my online account was blocked. After speaking with 4 different people all I could get for info was that the deposit was flagged as fraudulent I have called the fraud department and am about to start my second hour of beung on hold.

I have many times in the past remotely deposited a paycheck rather than my usual direct deposit. Hard to understand why that wasn't taken into consideration. In the end I was told I would be notified of a decision in 7 days.

I deposited a $2,500 check on 10/20/2022.. I was told the funds would be available by the app on Friday 10/21/2022, they were, but then at 9am the funds were taken back. Which led my account to go into the negative because I thould be in my account on 10ght I had money that I apparently did not have.

I am a disabled veteran with PTSD I also have bipolar. I have one way to get money to pay for things your card. That means I depend on you to take care of my money. Before the merge I got a letter saying I would get another card. Card never came.

Now my peoples card has stop working and I am told 5weeks to get another card. This is very irresponsible and screams neglect on your part. I have been in 5 bank mergers and this is the most unorganized ill managed one to date.

This will most likely fall on deaf ears but you still have to live with you. Have a nice day. I will be moving my money.

I believe this bank is a predatory lender. Thankfully I am resourceful otherwise each month I would have had to pay late fees. meaning that my account would not let me log in. I took screen shots to prove what was happening.

I called customer service I called every number I could find. I sent an email requesting help to their customer service email. They also have the online messaging system down due to high volume? Every attempt was met with me having to call to pay to a representative the funds that I owed.

When I finally spoke to a person she was not helpful... she simply transferred me to the phone merry go round. I finally contacted another bank and got a new loan so they could PAY OFF MTB so I did not have to deal with them anyone.

This bank is the worst. I was peoples United bank customer. They got taken over by M & T bank. So slow I was in the drive-through for 55 mins. So next time I went inside and just as bad.

They have people on the desk working both the desk and drive-thro. I had a payroll check and they couldn't take the hold off. Just problem after problem. Staff in the Colchester Linwood Ave branch are absolutely clueless. Definitely changing banks immediately

This is the worst example of a merger I have seen on any level. I have late fees, overdraft notices, payments not being made for mortgage, cars etc. I have large sums of money that we’re supposed to be deposited which never happened.

The bankers at the branch did not even know how to open an account. I will take legal action immediately. This is unacceptable for any federally backed “bank”.

9/13 and 9/14, my Quicken software was not able to download my transactions using 'Direct Connect'. I asked the customer representative if they were having a problem with Direct Connect, and she put me in a queue to talk to a technical support person.

I'm sure the queue time was so long due to the conversion over the Labor Day weekend.

However, after an hour and 15 minutes of being on hold, the technical support person told me that yes, there is a known issue with Quicken and Direct Connect. Why oh Why, couldn't the customer assistance individual, just call the help desk or technical support notify customer assistance of the problem, so I didn't have to be on hold for an hour and 15 minutes????

In this world of communications, it seems M&T's left hand is still having communication…

Before M&T took over people's united bank I had no problems with my account. Now that M&T took over, I'm having problems. M&T allowed transactions when there was no funds available. Now I'm in the RED. I will be opening another account somewhere else.

I will no longer keep my money in a corrupt desperate bank. You don't give a crap about your customers. If you did, you wouldn't be steeling money from customers.

I have been a Trustee for my daughter's SNT (Supplemental Needs Account) at Peoples' Scarsdale Branch for over 14 years. With this merger, I am not unable to withdraw funds from one account to another (set up by NYS directives and the Court), so she is literally 'locked out' of retrieving her funds for which she needs to live.

This is in violation of NYS law. really!? For 15 years I've never had a problem with Peoples who set this Trust up in accordance with law. Now a "Supervisor" advises me otherwise? Is she a legal expert? Who at M&T really knows about Trusts?

Was in drive thru at 5:57 on a Friday to cash a check drawn on m&t. was told they were closed. I then stated well you don’t close until 6. The woman told me their clocks said 6pm. An analog clock.

I showed her my phone (which Is auto programmed) that it was 5:57 well 5:58 by then and was told “well our clocks say 6 sorry, try tomorrow) so the next day Saturday, I went there around 9am. Just to see drive thru closed so I tried going inside where I was greeted by 3 employees.
