Completely insensitive customer service.

I went to the bank in order to close a 1Cent, yes, that's $0.01,'money market account', that had been siphoning $15 a month fees for many months, unbeknownst to me. My error.

What made this banking experience truly bad was the fact that neither of the 'bank officers' I dealt with could be bothered to put that penny in my palm.

Own the customer experience, bank officer. There are other banks. '

Unbeknownst to me, I paid $15 a month for at least three years, as a fee for a 1cent, "Money Market Account". My bad.

My bank officers' bad is the fact that they couldn't be bothered to personally hand me that penny.

I have at least $6000 in my checking account.

Crappy customer service ought not to be the default setting.

Anthony Coconeto was the lending advisor I spoke with. After inquiring about my income and work history he gave me a very negative opinion. When I asked to proceed he stated “you want to proceed even though you may not get approved” at that point I ended the conversation.

Prior to this I obtained a pre approval from Chase. gov website. Mr. Coconeto opinions were not asked for and were indicative of bias. His choice of words and tone were very unprofessional.

The hold time and automated prompts are useless. If customer service does answer the phone they transfer to an unhelpful person who has to transfer to someone else. I paid my auto loan off and need a simple letter/email that the loan has been paid in full.

I have been told I have to show proof that the funds came out of my account but I didn't write the check (mtg lender did). The hoops one has to jump through for something so simple is bind blowing.

I will never bank with M&T again nor will I recommend. If I ran my business this way I'd be out of business. The recording of phone conversations for quality assurance are not listened to or analyzed for customer service. They are useless.

I called the M&T branch on East Main Street Rochester New York today to make a car payment on an account I have with this bank. A teller answered the phone and when I asked to make my payment he put me on hold and passed me to the BRANCH MANAGER named “Joe” who in turn had no clue on how to process my payment.

I asked why is it so difficult to make a payment over the phone? He proceeded to ask me, after waiting on hold for 10 mins why I don’t make my payment online or in a branch? And said I was disrespectful.

I said to him I don’t like to pay payments online and I am no where’s near a branch to pay in person. It really is not their business as to the way I chose to make a payment. I have had several car loans in my life with several different banks and have never been treated so…

Poor customer service mt bank ATM card expired a month early during the holiday season i have not been able to use my card for 3weeks a new card was issued and no pin number was sent it's been 3weeks the online banking never works like it supposed to and locked me out for no reason if I call my bank hold time too excessive 45minutes no one came to phone I'm social security income I give up I hate mt bank I opened a new bank account somewhere else and

They call my father 2-3 times a day, harassing him for payment information. They want the check number, time check was sent. Payment was sent a week ago, my father told them this. They still kept calling him, asking him to provide the check number. Today November 1st, I checked my account - I am the one who makes the payments. Payment has not gone through. I called to verify, if I mailed it to the right address, I asked if they could just confirm they have the check. The check that has my name, I already verified the amount, the account number, the address of the property. I was told we can't confirm this with you. So... they can't confirm if they have the check that has my name on it? Rude, unprofessional and they should not call someone 2-3 a day, that is called harassing.

called for help for a special Forbearence program, on Monday Oct 18,2021@ 9;05 am, talked with a Robert in the Assistant program Department Mr. Robert hanged up on me he was rude he switched me to another department with even notifing me ,,,,Rude.

I will take this to a higher level, if this is how M&T Bank deals with customers, will will start looking for another bank for business.

since the year 2017 m&t bank, mtge customer support and loan servicing every year send me notice of lack of renter insurance on my property located at 6175 w. , 33012, mortgage # 00516 25309,despite the faact that I have been sending copies of my renters insurance to their office, charging my account with additional insurance costs and reporting failure to carry insurance to the credit report agencies.

highly prejudicing my credit report. because I have evidence since the year 2017 till this 2021 that i have renters insurance for all this years and advised them (m&t deaprtment and servicing department) with copies of insurance coverage. We had a loan with M&T for a work truck. We bought the truck in December and never received a bill or statement from them. My wife started calling them in February to find out why we hadn't received anything and no one could help her.

I tried several times to call them but was put on hold for more than an hour at times. I quit trying to find out any information. We finally heard from M&T in late March only to find out that we had been turned in for collection!!

It was very hard working with employees. From that point on we made payments that were four times the amount that was due, but we noticed that our interest that we owed went up each month. When we called to question that, we were told someone would get back to us before the end of the week.

That has been a month and a half ago…

Williamsville, Buffalo branch, off Youngs Rd. 14221. I was asking about 8 separate overdraft charges that occurred in less than 20 minutes of each other and cost me over $500. The teller and manager laughed (literally) at my very reasonable request to explain the charges.

I try to take my license back and he yanks it back and threatens to "shred it" I almost got physical with him before I snatched it out of his hand. Terrible service and I'll be doing everything possible to RUIN that branch, they are so unbelievably unprofessional and pompous, I'd advise hiding your money under your bed before M&T.

Due to COVID and a loss of income for my husband and I, we had to surrender our camper. I started trying to fax a letter to a Brian ---- back in March stating we wanted to surrender the camper.

But he dismissed my emails and faxes. He never responded to me at all. When I first called and talked to someone about my situation, they told me we could voluntarily surrender our camper. We tried to do the right thing and did that.

We even showed up the day they picked it up with the keys for the people to get into it. We were never told at any time about the fees we would be charged for picking up the camper and for auctioning the camper.

I was also not told that it would show up as a repossession rather than a voluntary surrender on my credit report. 20 in fees. Nice, especially considering…

My husband visited M&T Bank 8200 Harford Road on 7/9/2021 at approximately 2:45 pm because we had questions about our Securities fund. Our Account Executive Andrew Fletcher is at this branch. We couldn't reach him by phone so we went to the branch. He was not there.

So we asked to speak to someone else and why. We waited 10 minutes. Only one lady was actually serving customers yet there were two other workers sitting in cubicles apparently not doing anything. I couldn't get names because I saw no name tags or name plates on desks etc...

On April 2, 2021 I emailed a request to have some late charges waived in order to facilitate a sale of my property which would benefit not only me but the bank and his investors. On that date and on many other dates thereafter I emphasized the urgency of the request.

I received an immediate reply on April 2, from customer service, that it could take up to two business days. I heard nothing.

Finally, I was advised by telephone on April 14 or 15th that a file it been opened on April 13. Further, it was opened by the homeowners assistance department, not customer service. It is important to note that I submitted the request to customer service at the suggestion of homeowner assistance..

Since then I have been bounced back and forth between the two departments but have received no concrete…

The branch in Beacon NY doesn't care about their customer safety or business. After being in the drive thru on foot for 40 minutes, I was asked by Janice why I had received a check from an insurance company in the first place and told to come back later to get money that had been available for withdrawal to me.

I was asked why I didn't use the atm( no card yet) and told to go to another bank!! After being humiliated I received a call from the bank and told that she was a good Teller!! They don't care about my inconvenience or heatstroke to r panic attack, caused by them!!

Can't wait to close my account there and go to any other bank I'll be calling my lawyer also

I went on 2/7/20 to my local M&T bank in Owings Mills, MD!!! The worst experience as customer. I came at 11:30am and waited 30min!!!! I'm very patient person, and never complain about anything, but this time I needed to just point out the issue with customer service.

The lady employee she took another customer because prior she came to check-in window first doing her deposit checking or whatever, and then she came to sign-in her name and sat. I was aleady there first because I came at 11:30am.

The employee lady took her first and didn't even say sorry or apologizing to me for waiting patiently 30min!!!! She could have handled more professional and polite!!!! I still give 5 stars because I love this bank, but they need to have more employees professional and polite to assist customers.…

My home equity loan was locked by a Michelle shine ext8221. You pd back taxes for me in2016. as now your saying I'm in default I'm NOT you won't let me pay a dime. The default was a letter do you know The attorney general said you can't charge me any penalties or quite the payments you won't let me pay They said could affect my credit rating.

To Whom It May Concern: As a new customer (loan transferred from Chase Bank of no fault of my own), I feel the need to write this letter so the corporate office is aware of the issues in the Baltimore Office. My first payment with you was due for July 2019.

I'm a resident of the State of Maryland and often use the M&T Bank ATM located in Shoppers Food Store on Cherry Hill Road, College Park, MD with Debit and Bank Cards which allow M&T Bank to collect ATM fees. , PA 17101, Sequence #6656).

worst customer service i have ever had from a M&T Bank branch since opening my account over 20 years ago. Bank assistant manager is rude and likes to talk to customers in a condescending manner. Depending on who you talk to there is a different story given.

I wished i had checked the google ratings for this branch before opening my new estate account with them. They have a very low rating and i am surprised the corporate office hasnt looked into all the complaints about the Perry Hall Branch.

My online banking has been blocked. Yesterday, 19 July, 2018, I spoke with Michelle in at what I believe to be your Fraud Department and she advised me she was with Enterprise. I got to Michelle after being transferred there by another M&T customer service representative.

During my conversation with Michelle, she said some suspicious activity was being done with my account and they had to lock it for my safety. For this I appreciate the extra security measure taken. The end conversation with Michelle was for me to take my computer to someone like Best Buy and have my computer cleaned at my expense or another option was for me to go to my local branch, and

Had a horrible experience with customer service. The rep was rude, loud, and disrespectful. Spoke with her supervisor Michael Lafferty, he was not rude, but never offered an apology. He sided with his agent, and totally disregarded my concerns. I never had a bad experience before, have referred family, friends and co-workers.

The branch ( University of Maryland Hospital Branch Green Street, Baltimore). The branch should open at 9.00 AM and not at 9.05 or so. This was noted also today, Sept 12. Also, the Printer devoid of any paper to print customer's information. The bank was thus not fully ready at time.

Report is made just as helpful suggestion and recommendation for management change at this branch.

They are the worst. They have belittled me in a complaint response, called me a liar after filing a CFPB complaint, continuously send payoffs saying I requested them (I have not requested one), changed the checking acct terms from a zero min to a 5k minimum, and

continuously tell me I need to update info when I have done it 3 times. Not to mention the loss M&T pack they would not leave messages or send emails as my commute and work hours matched the operating hours and contains all the info they need to update the account.

On October 30th we got a letter from M&T stating our accounts had been hacked into and they were freezing the accounts pending an investigation. They asked us to go through our statements and highlight the transactions we are disputing.

We did that and now they refuse to give us the provisional credit they originally said they would. We lost close to $7,000 and they won't give us back a penny of it. This is unreal! Do not bank with M&T.

I went to the M & T Branch on Emmorton Road in Abingdon, Maryland on Tuesday June 23rd at approximately 3:35 P. M... Upon arrival one man was with customers and two of the employees were sitting around in the office chit chatting.

I waited at least 15 minutes before the girl came out to answer the telephone. After answering the telephone she asked if she could help me. I said yes you can, I have been waiting for awhile. She claimed she thought I was waiting for the teller.

I was not in line or close to the line and I keep looking in the office at them, hoping they would discontinue the conversation which definitely appeared to be personal. I asked her why would Verizon be allowed to deposit a refund in my checking account without my permission.
