I'm writing to let Navy Federal how unhappy I am with the assistance your fraud department provided. I was notified that my claim for fraudulent activity on my account was denied by the funds getting taking out of my account after I follow up with a phone call to see what was going on From May to October my claims have been denied with me not receiving any notification if I wouldn't have called to find out how my claim was progressing I would had never been informed of this decision.
In addition, I didn't receive a request for any supporting paperwork for my claim or an explanation of the decision-making process. I am quite concerned about the security of my account and the lack of openness in your claims process because I was the victim of identity theft.

DMA has withdrawn over $10,000 in varying amounts from my account without my authorization. Recently called the customer service department for help with my Zelle account and received the worst service ever. Even down to the fact that the representative took it upon himself to access my account without verification. He only ask my name and I inform him of my name and then after that he continues to change the password of my account and as well block me from access.

My husband is deployed to South Korea and had his debit card information stolen and used for $643 dollars. As soon as we noticed the charges, we shut off my husband's card (leaving him with no access to money) and called Navy Federal to notify them of the unauthorized activity.
Navy federal rep said that they could not do anything about this until the charges were not pending. Once the charges hit our account, I submitted a fraud claim. I then had to go to a branch have a new card printed and mail it to South Korea.

I called in with some questions to my account and was blindly rerouted to a manager who claimed the rep was scared of me. I was very professional with the previous rep, didn’t argue with her nor did I become aggressive at any point in the conversation but I guess because I’m black the excuse was she was scared of me and she asked the manager to handle it. I deposited a check on Sept. 1 and was told that my check would clear after two business days. After two business days I call back and now they tell my check will now take up to five business days because security put an additional hold on it.

I called in about a fraud matter and Beth a customer service representative was very rude and spoke with attitude in her voice when I voiced my frustration of being told two different things. When I asked her name and told her I would be filing a complaint she continued to cut me off and speak over me while I was talking.

This site is solely operated on Chat-On-Line services and has no other system for interacting with their customers. Unfortunately this makes the 'Chat Operators' too reliant on feed-back from their customer contacts on a day to day basis. NFCU has stolen money from our account (overdrawing it 4x) despite filing both a dispute as required by their customer service agent and now, after 3 months of fighting NFCU's illegal decisions, filed it as fraud.

I came in to the Douglasville branch at approximately 1138 just to replace my debit card. I was told that a phone call had to be made to so that. That’s never happened before. I had my old card in hand and explained that the chip was not working or the tap feature.
I was told I could not get a new card. I then left the branch and called myself. I was told there was no issue and should’ve received a card and that a note would be left on my acct to get a new card.

I’ve been a member with Navy Federal Credit Union for 25 years. I bank and have an auto loan with them. I’ve had my loan for 2 years and after all this time they send me an email the day before my birthday telling me they don’t have the title to my car.
They told me to call the dealership and DMV. Both told me NFCU is the lien holder and would need to request a copy from the DMV. NFCU is now trying to charge me an additional 18% on my APR when I wasn’t properly informed about the issue, not that I’m able to do anything to fix it since the title is under the name of my bank.
I had to speak to 2 different NFCU agents and the first was not helpful whatsoever. The second told me I still have to pay the increased rate even though it was the bank that didn’t do their job properly.

NFCU, We are existing customers of NFCU, at the end of March 2023 I applied to open a trust account for my son. The branch agent who helped me apply was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, taking all of our info in with the application she stated that it would take approximately 7-10 business days for the docs to be reviewed by the trust department.
As of May 2nd we hadn't heard back from NFCU regarding the application status, so yesterday I went to the Long Beach CA branch to see if there were any issues with the application. Due to Navy Federal employees' lack of knowledge, I, as the customer, am being penalized for something they failed to get corrected twice. This is our first and last time doing business with this company. Their mistake is costing us as the customer $600/each month; even when they acknowledge it was their employee's error, all they could say was they are sorry, but you will have to continue to pay the extra $600/month until it is corrected.

I had a fraud incident back in December where someone took a cash advance on my credit card, drained my checking account, and applied for a personal loan in my name. Back in December after I reported the fraud, the bank put the money back into my checking account, denied the loan, and reversed the cash advance.
I was told the case was closed and everything was handled. 99 dollars put on my credit card. Now, I haven't seen any of this money nor did I apply for it in the first place. I spoke with a representative by the name of Jacob this morning, and he was very extra with the issue at hand. I needed to arrange of credit card payment and he kept insisting that if I pay the previous balance due before the 10th, then I wouldn’t go into a double payment.

It has been over 5 months since my account has been locked; I am a disabled Veteran and this is disrupting my lively and has caused an increase in my depression and PTSD which I suffer from. Navy federal closed my checking account because I was disputing over $700 woth of overdrafts. During the pandemic they advised members that they would waive overdraft fees. What they forgot to tell me is that at there discrection they can start charging overdrafts without notice. They closed my account.

NFCU took $7,000 un-authorized from my NFCU Savings Account. I had a charge off account that I was paying $50/ month on to NFCU. They stopped taking the $50 and a few months later without any phone or documentation took a $7,000 withdrawal from my savings account without a word. We needed this money to pay our back mortgage, now we are going to lose our house and we have 2 children and I have serious health conditions and NFCU could care less to help us and adamantly refuses to give the money back so I can work out a payment plan. They are a headless company.
I am going to close all our accounts and file a Chapt 7 on them for over 60K.

There's a employee at navy federal in Columbus Georgia named Stephanie that smelled like marijuana and seemed impaired I came in regarding a car loan. She came off very distant but was laughing a lot and I didn't really understand her. I was approved however I was very irritated with the service.
I’ve been with Navy FCU since 2012. I have multiple accounts with them including a mortgage. I’ve been shown they don’t care at all about their members. If you’re willing to put your customer in a financial bind that ultimately benefits the bank by causing payments already scheduled to bounce back causing penalties on both end, then they’ve never been loyal.
I’ve been going to hard for them and sending customers their way for years. It feels like a so called friend that has stabbed you in the back. I’ll be taking all of my business from them due to them putting me in a financial bind causing me not to take care of my children and putting me in the negative for their financial gain. I’m so hurt.
I refinanced my mortgage and paid off the mortgage with NFCU,, the escrow and over payment needs to get refunded back.. I called the mortgage representative tells me to fill out the form and send it back to get the funds sent back electronically.
Response I get back is because I did not do this before the account was paid off, I will have to wait 7 to 10 days. This is a poor bank. Their local employees are great, but if you have to deal with them over the phone they suck.
Their mortgage department is awful also. Took 5 months to refinance a home loan.
I like navy federal but their accounting system is very slow. It's ver difficult to know your actual balance when items don't post over the weekend and 3am on weekdays. It's caused me to have late fees, uneccary overdrafts and returns.

I paid balance in full on credit card, I over paid by $130, I sent email through navy federal app, request for refund, got email back with excuse of fraud, want 3 signature, photo, and letter, shouldn't have go through this for over payment. Law states once request is made, bank havec7 business day to send refund.

October 25, 2022-I made a mistake and paid BGE in the amoung of $2,571.00 using my credit card ending 0367. Realizing I made a mistakes, I immediately transferred $3,000.00 from my saving account ending 1061 to cover the charge made October 25, 2022, the same evening. My son and I went to INQUIRE for a mortgage loan at the Navy Federal Credit Union, Mira Mesa, San Diego, CA this month, Dec 2022. Although, we were just inquiring about their mortgage loan programs, their mortgage loan personnel, Farrah pulled out my son's credit report rating without his knowledge. This woman is not fully trained on her job to be pulling out someones credit report rating without authorization.
