On 9/29/21 we found out that someone had tried to link an external acct to our Navy Federal acct, including taking a $6000 cash advance off our credit card and moving it into our checking acct, then they tried to link an external account which NFCU caught and immediately secured my wife's account.

Which we will be eternally grateful for.. My wife spent appox 3 hrs on the phone getting things straightened out, getting new accounts and credit cards. All I had to do was call to request new joint credit cards as they needed to verify me.

I called 9/30/21 at appox. 0651 - the person I spoke with extremely rude, she talked over me, would not let me talk and explain. If she would have read through the account notes the call would have been much faster, in addition on three times during our talk…

I received an approval email for a Commercial vehicle I applied for on 8/30/21. org. It states I have 15 days to submit the information in. I call yesterday because we found a truck. I sent in the buyers order yesterday and doing the insurance today.

I call in to ask ya question about the insurance and was told a denial letter went out this morning. I asked for what because I have the approval email. I asked for a supervisor he came on the line and said Frank made a mistake he will call me. This is Totally Unacceptable.

Frank calls and say he made a mistake and nothing is going to be done. He will have another Supervisor to call me back no response. I go into the branch office this morning to get it resolved she advise me she will try to reach out to him.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! CAR LOAN NIGHTMARE!!! I haven't receive anything from the bank except the text message saying this loan was approved and the expiration date is 08/18/2021 I don't see on my documents, I don't see on my email, I haven't receive it though mail, Where are this documents sent to?

I already applied before and i went to the bank the teller said she put in the their system right there but nobody know anything about it, financial Department don't know where the documents went too, I had to applied a second time( this time) and still nobody can help me, all I want is to finally sign this loan and be done with it.

I have been a member of NFCU for 40 years, and during the past two years have experienced a constant degraded service. The bank is simply too slow, and makes many errors.

1) Our refinance took four months.

2) After 22 years, NFCU suddenly and without notice added my former wife to my checking account and removed my current wife of 21 years. We had to close the account to fix their error.

3). Forget wire transfers unless yiu can go to a branch. NFCU does not view a wire transfer as a critical timing issue, and taking an order over the phone takes over two days (if their system even works). It is a matter of “don’t call us, we will call you” when we are ready to make the transfer.

NFCU used to be awesome. But their growth has obviously turned them into just another uncaring bank.

I deposited a check on 5/14/21 in the amount of $250 and it was available the next buisness day. I deposited again the following friday the same amount of $250 from the same bank check with the same account number and routing number that my buisness uses.

$225 instant daily amount was deposited.

However the rest was put on hold for 5 buisness days for security reasons. I spot with someone and they told me that once it is flagged then every check from then would be put on a 5 buisness day hold.

She could not tell me why the check was put on hold or anything except that it would be available the following friday. I also deposited a $18,000 check the same day aswell. i understand that check being held. So am i gonna have every check held every friday for a week?

I went to NFCU Waldorf last Aug 13, 2020. Between the hours of 10:30 am to 11:10 Am. As soon I sat down the customer service name Shannon , I told her that I have a 2 transaction cash deposit to my checking and savings account . She was rude and with hostile attitude. I walked out and request a new teller. When I went to the front and asking if they can give me a new teller because this teller Shannon was so mean to me , she came out of her desk and came in my face that she about to attacked me. 2-3 of the staff hold her not to do anything to me and all this stuff was captured by the video.

I went to NFCU in Portsmouth VA yesterday to ask about a car loan and to have a problem with certificates corrected. I was sent to speck with the woman at the desk. I told her why I was there and she told me that I should have called before I came there because everything I needed help with they could not help me with.

Her tone was that of frustration, and unhappiness as she told me that I just wasted my time coming there. I have been a member of NFCU for 30 or more years and that is not what to hear or how I want to hear it.

I think that young lady needs some good mentoring, and a good talking to about customer service.

I have tried to refinance my house since February of this year. I’ve sent everything that has been asked of me. To continuously have to keep resending the same copies of everything like a vicious circle. I have locked in my rate three times to be told that I haven’t.

I had one person working with me and some completely different person calls asking information and on several occasions asked me for my biz PIN number. I work in The government and we don’t get out our pin numbers. I was told we world close on May the 29th and if we didn’t it would be December before we could do so.

Location : Navy Federal Credit Union 9494 W Northern Ave Suite 107 Glendale, Arizona I went to the credit union to make a withdrawal. When they opened, they guided the customers in while executing social distancing , following CDC guidelines.

What didn’t make sense to me is why are they doing that when every single credit union employee are not using mask and gloves to protect themselves as well as the customers. Pin pad machines are not sanitized after the use of each customer. Thank you

A few Very bad attitude call center workers. Very ride and disrespectful. Called in to pay on an account and to resolve a few things. even using my code word. After asking to speak with a supervisor she then tells me she don't know if she could find one.

she puts me on hold and returns saying she has someone. and says she was sitting next to her and heard the whole conversation... remember earlier... representative said she had to find a supervisor

Today's date 1/30/20- I attempted to transfer $150 to my wife Schandra's Slater acct. but accidentally pressed to send it to my daughter Dajuana Slater bc the names in the selection box is so close. I called NFCU about the mistake and they told me my daughter's acct was hacked and placed in delinquent status so the money went to the acct.

so therefore couldn't be taken back to correct a mistake. I've been a loyal acct. holder for over 20 years with no mistakes like this made until now. I'm retired and work too hard for my money to just be taken like this bc of a mistake and told I can't be refunded due to fat finger mistake.

I don't want to close my acct. due being felt I was done wrong so please help me correct this problem if you may. Thank you for your time.

I am writing to express my displeasure with inaccurate information being shared by the Navy Federal Employees. Approximately 17 months ago I purchased a vehicle for my wife and had it financed through Navy Federal Credit Union. I also took out at a personal loan to pay off some personal debts while my wife and I put our daughter through college.

The moment we received the first statement indicating the the payment was due on the 26th day of the month; we walked into the Navy Federal Branch in Lemoore, California to discuss the fact that my wife and I are paid once per month. Our pay dates are the last day of the month for my wife and the first day of the month for me.

We were informed that we needn't worry about the date because we had a 10 day grace period and we would not receive a late…

I applied for a mortgage loan August 9th 2019 it is now Oct the 1st 2019 and I still don't have a close date. Really, what's really going with this company. NFCU The lack of urgency is very present. Loan Processor and Loan Officers don't communicate and you have to go thru other channels to hear from your assigned loan processor because they won't respond to your emails or call you back.

The process takes way to long. Navy federal doesn't care if you lose thousands of dollars and expect you to just live with it like it's okay. NOT ACCEPTABLE !!! Something truly needs to be done about the unprofessional behavior.

THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN!!!! I was informed by DIgital Services Dept. to create a phone pin and the SYSTEM would verify and I would NOT be asked for my LAST 4 SSN. WHY IS NFCU NOT TRAINING ALL DEPARTMENTS for accurate knowledge?

I did as asked and still was asked for my last 4. As an IT I understand SECURITY, however this is why NFCU created the phone pin and then a phone codeword/password. I WOULD LIKE TO BE CONTACTED BY A CORPORATE EXECUTIVE and hopefully get some resolution on this problem.

Had a lien on the account, took care of it at 7 am on 09/06/2019. Called y’all back said to call back. Called y’all with someone later in the day. Lady told my husband it take 24 to 48 hours to take to location a fax. To call back tomorrow.

Called today 09/07/2019 y’all said that department is closed and nothing can be done for me until Monday. So now y’all are holding my money from me because y’all couldn’t do your job in a timely matter until Monday or Tuesday.

So I can’t get to my money for a couple more days. So thank you for holding my money from me and my 3 kids all weekend long.

Hello.

My husband and I applied for 2 loans at approximately the same time. One is a purchase that is running smoothly and efficiently. The other is a refinance of our current VA loan.

On Tuesday September 10, 2019, it will be 4 weeks since we applied for the refinance. We know no more today than the day we applied. I had numerous questions and concerns and the processor for our loan refuses to call back.

Needless to say we are very frustrated with Navy Federal at this point. We have never had this much trouble with any prior transactions with Navy. We go to Navy for all of our financial needs.

We were hoping to close both loans within a few days of one another. Our purchase is scheduled to close on Sept 16 2019.

This is a very serious and most likely an illegal practice by Navy Federal Mortgaging Service. On June 17, I closed on refinance loan to acquire a new mortgage loan as well as pay off a second mortgage trust. 00 per month.

00 payment from my checking account, which was three weeks after the closing. I contacted NFCU had requested that my funds be returned because this loan was fully paid off in refinance on June 17th. After many telephones, and emails, I learned that NFCU had paid off of the refinance loan and would have to back -date the payment in order for my funds to be returned.

Good Morning!

I am a small business, I made a transfer to another NFCU party via the self service online. I intended to send over $30.00 , In mistake I sent $300! I called customer service and talked with an agent that stated since this was done online through self serve there is nothing they can do. the other party would have to send it back. closing is first thing tomorrow morning and close of business is in 30 minutes; this loan application has been pending for 3 months. still do not have final documents and 3 nfcu employees have failed to return 4 calls. my previous experiences with nfcu have been 5-star, this one, not so much.

I will attempt to complete this transaction tomorrow but do not anticipate doing business with nfcu again. I am a seasoned real estate investor and this is the worst closing snafu I have experienced.

Late lastnight on June 8th around 12:10am. I was giving incorrect information by A NFCU Customer Service Representative regarding a pending item I need paid. I was informed that my Rental check will be paid if I add just $1.00 to my account. My daughter transferred $2.00 into my husband and I joint checking account.

They failed to notify me they were canceling all of my cards. They failed to explain beyond a form letter e message why they did it. They refused to allow an appeal even though my card paperwork says I am allowed to appeal any and all choices.

Furthermore while trying to get a response they are now threating to suspend more privileges.

Paid employees in the emessages area of NFCU are and have been for the past 10 years projecting an adversarial attitude towards customers and members. It maybe a reflection of Management's lax attitude, organization policy and operating procedures.

I have had a credit card with navy federal over a year. I call in each month prior to the 6th to make my payment. On March 2nd I called in to make my March payment and was told I had a pass due amount which i should not have.

I proceeded to make the pass due amount because Navy Federal would not correct their error as well as my March payment. I paid a total of $600 to make pass due and current payment. I call today to make my April payment all to be told by Ms.

Smith which said she was a supervisor that she see where i made the $600 but it was not for my March payment. I argued with her for almost 1 year asking why was my payment not made and she stated they put the money on the overall balance.

I have been bounced from one representative to the next, I lost count after nine. The first representative I dealt with when I originally made my fraud claim for almost 600$ did NOT submit the entire amount. She only submitted the two consecutive charges.

I have yet to receive back four hundred and something dollars. And no manager that was asked to do their job and find a solution could do so. I’ve never had any issues with Navy Federal in the past but maybe I need to start looking for a new bank.

I set up an IRA rollover from one company to NFCU, on January 24, 2019. The transfer amount of funds to be transferred to NFCU such have completed by now. It has been over three weeks and growing. But the funds have not been deposited into my IRA certificated saving account. As of today, I don't have any idea where my money is. I have been in the bank on several occasion and I have spoken to the staff members about this matter. And they keep saying, that the check is in the mail. This is becoming very alarming to be. First of all how long does it take to transfer funds by mail or to fax them to the branch?

I was debited $1043 on 12/17 for a charge off account. This account I was told by a representative back in 4/18 that I was being set up with a payment arrangement. Navy Federal could easily review the tapes but took no ownership for their part in the misunderstanding.

I was unable to pay my rent and received a 14-Day Notice to Quit as a result. At that time I set up a payment arrangement for 12/28 for $150. Today mobile banking was down for several hours and when it came back up I realized the same department debited my entire paycheck of $1867.

I now cannot pay rent again and have to wait the weekend, with two small children to speak to a department that just did the same thing 11 days ago. I am prepared to close my accounts and proceed with legal action.

It is absolutely unacceptable…

00 taken from my account and disbursed to Child Support in Fresno Ca. I contacted Navy Federal to ask about a hold that was placed on my account. The complaint was investigated by a Navy Federal employee, in which they noted that it was funds deposited by Department of Education (FASFA).

Federal Student Aid cannot be garnished for child support. Per Federal Policy. I have paperwork to prove my complaint is valid. I've spoke with some last week but they blew me off. Thank you.

I called because I needed help finding out if my payroll had been credited to my NFCUaccount. A Courtney answered, and she sounded like she had an attitude, was not happy to assist as she spoke too fast, and she kept repeating herself about the hours to call back on Monday to find out.

Have banked with Wells Fargo since 2004 (about 12 years). Before that I was at Navy Federal and had a great experience. Now I am learning I should have gone back. Have had checking, savings, credit card and auto loan. Never had any real issues until recently when I decided to pay off my auto loan in full. Went into the branch and was told I actually owed almost another thousand dollars in late fees on top of my principle balance; $861 to be exact.

They said its 22 months worth of late fees that I was never aware of. My credit is still great as I have never been 30 days late. Back in 2015 I had called customer service to set up automatic payments on my car loan. Month went by and it did not auto withdraw as I was told was all good to go.
