I wish I had read the reviews on OPTUM before we made an appointment with the OPTUM clinic located at 925 S. Euclid St in Anaheim. I just want to make people aware of this situation. We have a high deductible health insurance coverage which does cover preventive services such as a basic blood test without having to meet the deductable.

In September of 2023 we made an appointment with this OPTUM location for just a basic blood test and nothing else. They confirmed us that it would be covered 100% by our insurance. When we came in the nurse took our blood pressure and she left.

Then the doctor came in and asked us a few trivial questions such as what medications we are taking. I told her I have been taking amlodipine for high blood pressure and that was all. We had to wait a couple of…

The new phone system is horrible! Countless departments are funneled to one number and is a waste of time. As a parent with a very sick child or a parent with a quick question, it take several minutes to get help I need.

For example, it took 3 1/2 min today to reach a prompt that then asked me if I wanted a call back. I selected yes. It took an additional 17 min. to receive a callback. It is extremely frustrating not to have a direct line to an office or a nurse anymore.

It is an utter waste of time for anyone contacting the main number and it sounds awful for health care workers as well. Give direct access to departments/doctors/nurses instead of funneling every call to one number! No one should have to wait several minutes only, to connect to a prompt that is not a human, and then have…

We use both Optum and non Optum providers and like several of our doctors. We always used Optum labs to fulfill our Optum and non Optum scripts because we live near both Rhinebeck and Lake Kartrine. facilities. Today we found out that we can no longer use Optum labs for nonOptum providers. What a short sighted decision since Optum is losing gastronologists (Kaufman), urologists (recommended Pietrow) etc. in the area.

And most annoying we received NO notice of this change in the multudinous emails we receive from Optum. Between the phone mess and this we may finally give up on Optum although for us the two shining lights in this mess are Dr Kim Seeger (and Alice Kirby) and Dr Alexandra Pappas.

I should up for my X-Ray and was told by the very lovely receptionist Brittany that the X-Ray Tech had taken an early lunch and would be back soon this was at 10:30 am I proceeded to wait for 4 hours before the tech Tiffany finally showed back up acting put out for needing to do her job and as if this couldn't get any worse then she proceeded to stay on a video call with some shirtless tattooed screaming maniac clearly talking about getting and using drugs after work

The two multi-vitamin bottles in an order of June 22, 2023 melted again after being replaced. I now have four useless bottles. 20. Apparently, Optum cannot protect these products from heat and keeps advertising. Please don't replace or send any more vitamins if you cannot protect them.

My phone did even ring, so I missed my scheduled call. I called back in less than 3 minutes and had to schedule for next week. I understand that I missed the call, but I called back so quickly that I don't see why I couldn't do my appointment today.

It would have had virtually no impact on the amount of time already carved out in that nurse's schedule for me. This is a terrible and frustrating system.

I have reached out to Optum several times over the last 3 weeks and talked to several people and 3 supervisors all giving me the wrong information on my script. They last supervisor I spoke with said she would investigate all my calls and follow up with my script and call me back which has not been done I am now a week overdue without my medication.

And no follow up call, This script was approved back in April with a quantity of three of which only one has been delivered. And I have had people tell me that it’s on its way. No problem will look into it and even one of your supervisors from my aggravation, offered me my script at 50% off after he told me he would get it out and we would deal with the problem later because he saw what I saw.

My Doctor recently sent in a prescription for me. I was notified that that medication was not covered by my insurance and my physician was being contacted for another choice. After a period of time I had heard nothing. I contacted optum rx again and was told my prescription had been canceled because insurance coverage was declined.

I told the representative at that time that I wanted the prescription even it wasn't covered. I was told that my physician would have to send another prescription I had my physician send in another prescription with it on file that I would pay even my insurance wouldn't.

I have a torn Meniscus in my Right knee. I am LIVING IN PAIN! My Primary Doctor saw me over a month ago. He ordered an exray. I saw the Ortho and he said I needed an MRI. I have tried to get one for over to weeks!

I appreciate that this company has its on procedures. But when you are in pain and your Knee goes out and you fall subsequently, This should be at least a rush order. so I pushed and I finally got an appointment for Friday May 12,2023 at RadNet Imaging that is about 2 miles from my home.

That didn't work because on the day of the appointment I was told that office has NO EAR PLUGS, NO Headphones to cover some of the LOUD noise of the machine. Really? How cheap can you get. Not to mention the comfort of their patients!

It is important to treat patients with respect. Some people are elderly and need patience when you enter an establishment, and it is the unknown, some are alone and some just do not understand protocol of a medical office. I bring this as a complaint because the medical professionals seem to have forgotten 'sensitivity' towards people. , LV 89134.

Please see my notes from that very uncomfortable experience. I am an open minded person and ready to turn the other cheek with understanding. Drug refill, due every 90 days are NEVER filled on time. All my prescriptions are automatic refill. But it never happens. I have been out of methotrexate for 2 weeks. I called AGAIN on 04/15. I was told that my Dr.

I logged on and recieved an appointment for an MRI at Ascension Health care in Pensacola on April 10, 2023. Marked it in my calender(I still use paper). This was done at least a week before. This morning, Friday April 7, 2023, I noticed and email asking me to fill out a patient questionnaire for my MRI appointment on April 13!?

I fill out the form, thinking they must have made a mistake with the date. Something told me to call Ascension and get this straightened out. I was told that someone named Jackie from Optum Health contacted me and had the appointment changed. I NEVER spoke to anyone named Jackie or anyone else for that matter. The first I heard about this appointment change was the off chance I checked my email.

I had reached out to about a Prohealth bill I had paid but they are saying the payment was reversed.

However I never received a credit from Riverside Medical Group for the September 8 2022 payment of $225. So the amount was charged on my credit card but I was never given a credit for the payment mot going through.

I ended up paying it again and so now I spent $450 on a $225 bill. My credit card can’t do a dispute because its over the time frame. If the payment was reversed I should have been given a credit.

Documents here show I was charged bit not refunded.

I have contacted Optum 10 times over the last 4 1/2 months. Each time I have contacted Customer Service, I have received different instructions on how to resolve my issues. I have requested to speak to a supervisor numerous times, and been told the supervisor is busy and will call me back.

I have not received a call back. I have sent emails with no response. My state's employee benefits division has sent requests for a supervisor to contact, and that has not happened either. In the last three years, the lack of customer service has been on the decline.

Once the 2023 year is over, I will no longer be using an Flexible Spending Account; not with Optum. I hope to never have to use the company for any reason in the future.

I had a work comp injury back on 9/28/2020 at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. The registration was billed incorrectly and it has taken me 3yrs to get this corrected. They had all my worker's compensation information at time of service on 09/28/2020. This mistake and incorrect data entry has ruined my credit and the ER doctor who treated me didn't get paid due to this mistake.

The next registration mistake was for my mammography at the Breast Imaging Center at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. This was billed incorrectly. It was a yearly mammography and I was informed by radiology scheduling that it was covered. This bill ended up going to collections because the registration clerk entered the wrong insurance.

This has caused great stress and it has ruined my credit score.

Optum submitted the wrong Tax ID in their claim to my health insurance and now I’m getting letters from a debt collector. I called Optum in attempt to get this resolved and they don’t even know which Tax ID they used to file the claim.

Trying to get a hold of them on the phone is ridiculous too, after leaving my phone number to wait for a call back, it took 2 whole days for them to return my call! My girlfriend has a brother who is the worst drug addict/alcoholic I have ever seen. " the thing is he gets a script for 30 day but takes them all in two days. If he has two scripts he still takes them all in two days plus drinking on top of that!

So, we tried to meet with his Dr to explain what's going on so that maybe he'll switch him to a non-narcotic drug. " Yet we never heard from him and it's been about five months since we went to see him.

I am currently diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer I have been on chemo medication since November 2021 and my doctor wants me on it till November 2023. I was getting my prescriptions from Ascension specialty pharmacy for the past year.

I have now been told I have to go through Walmart specialty pharmacy since I am a Walmart associate. Walmart specialty pharmacy is unable to sell this medication due to an LDD and OptumRx should be overriding my prescriptions that I’m trying to get filled at Ascension specialty pharmacy.

I've gone around and around with them to approve a PA that I NEED for my type 2 diabetes.... then they denied me!!! Said we have to refile through appeals!!! I've tried all the other meds they want me to take instead (because they are cheaper) and they make me deathly sick!!!

I think it's crap that a insurance can tell you what medication you can take,, like they are drs or something!!! As much as we pay in premiums a month the medicine out of pocket would be cheaper than what we pay them!!!!

OPTUM for us is the behavioral health and prescriptions provider working hand-in-hand with United Health. Unfortunately, they work as separate entities and the disparity is mind-blowing. The representatives seem to have been purposely "not trained" in customer service or given a manual on what benefits and coverage their company offers. The less accurate info.

they give, the less they need to cover you. Every single representative I have spoken to is clueless and makes up information as they go along. If you catch up contradicting what they said within the same conversation, they will get defensive and blame you for not understanding and often hang up. It's happened to me.

Pre-payment review process is harassment and fraud. Optum is fraudulently and illegally denying urine drug screen and confirmation labs for medical offices. They falsely claim upcoding in an effort to deny and outright refusal to pay legitimate claims. They fail to properly review over 33 classes of drugs being tested and deny the claim illegally saying that the lab results should be billed under the CPT code as 1-7 drug classes when in fact the lab qualifies for the CPT code 22+ drug classes.

This is fraud by the insurance company Optum for Wellcare.

Your prescription online apps, both web and mobile show inaccurate information when a prescription is being processed. Then a prescription is being processed for a refill, the system temporary removes that prescription from your list of valid prescriptions. No prescription should ever be removed without customer approval.

It would be acceptable to show a prescription in process of being filled as disabled with a status of "in process". Removing a prescription from a list of valid prescriptions is not acceptable.

I went in for my appointment at the San Antonio Optum location in Long Beach, California 90807. I had a negative experience with the nurse there, Priya. I requested to skip the weighing, as I am recovering from an eating disorder and it was imperative to my recovery to not know my weight.

I am seeing a dietician who tracks my weight weekly in a discreet manner.

However, Priya did not respect my wishes and forced me to get weighed. She did not take measures to hide my weight from me, and I accidentally saw it. This event has caused me much distress and pain.

Where do I begin? Optum is the most negligent company I have ever had the displeasure of having to deal with. Zero phone communication unless you want to wait on hold for over an hour, zero access to important and urgent medical records, zero ability to use their broken and horrific calendar service, and on and on. I believe it is time to file formal complaints before their negligence ends up causing a delay in medical treatment to the detriment of patients. You can change the name from Caremount, due to its horrific reputation, but changing a name is not the same as ceasing negligence.

You never send prescriptions on time. Then ask for a signature (as if we need to stay home 7 days a week 4 weeks a month 24 hours a day. Then when you ask for a supervisor, the give you China!

You can't understand them, but it doesn't matter cause they AGREE with you that "you should die"! I gave them 1 star only because I have to, but will go back to my local pharmacy. Save yourself grief and stay away from them.

Wish I could give them zero stars! They simply reject your claim for medical services. I have cancer on the top of my head that has been operated on twice and still remains. My doctor suggests radiation to treat it but Optumcare said it is not necessary.

Apparently I am just supposed to live with cancer as long as possible.

Customer service is not only completely rude, but has the galls to hang up or reroute your call to an endless rabbit hole of being on hold. Particularly when I called 1855-427-4682, Ryan at 12:30 12/1 not only did he talk down to me but literally hung up in the midst of when I was talking.

I hope they have their calls recorded because the way I was treated was appalling. If I was treated in this manner, I'm sure I'm not the first. If anything the customer service reps are a great illustration of how inept this company is.

They do not value you as a consumer, patient, or individual.

Optum sent a letter to my therapist stating I missed 12 doses of medicine. Didn't state what medicine. Called and lady said your company was just concerned for my health! You have falsified medical info, breech my confidentiality, and right to privacy.

Was told they weren’t seeing more patients and that they stop seeing patients by 6:30pm even though they close at 8pm. So they refused service when they were not even close yet.

Also the day before my kids was there and the doctor definitely don’t have an idea how to treat kids, he wanted them to answer like an adult. Bad experience for sure.

My mom is 80yrs old with numerous health problems. I tried to apply to get help for my mom by getting a personal health care provider. DR Gaehng her primary dr. The NP copied the notes from her chart for her paperwork to be filled out for the homecare provider. Very disappointed.

Your company has the worst in customer service, I Called to complain about a prescription I received that I had cancelled because it was out of stock . Optum still mailed it to be and wanted to charge me $75 !.

I called to explain to them that I had cancelled this prescription but the customer service them was so rude and kept interrupting me ! I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on . I ordered a new prescription and will not receive it because I owe $75 for meds I had canceled.

`regarding the subsidiary Caremount medical in Hudson Valley NY. The average wait time to get through of their telephone is 5min to 1hr. 15 min and often tomes disconnects. They never give a direct call number to the provider. The only choice for an impoirtant immediate problem is to go to their urgent care which is typically staffed by physicians assistants.

This medical service provider is downright negligent and the worst possible example of a medical care practice.

I am a patient at the Winter Springs Florida office. I had the best Dr. Dr Jason Guevara, who made sure that everything I needed was taken care of in a timely manner but now that he was transferred to another office I have been assigned to another Dr. Without Dr.

Guevera there I get nothing done that I need to be done. That office never answers the phone it takes them forever for the office to send referrals to my other specialists it takes forever for the Dr to respond to the medical supply company when they as for a new prescription` for Ostomy supplies that I can not get without the prescription.
