On March 21, 2024, I rented a car from Routes, a rental company located away from the Tampa Airport. Upon arrival, I was told I needed to show a declaration page from my auto insurance company. I called my insurance company and was able to obtain that, only to be told my insurance company was not on Routes’ list of accepted companies.

—more than the cost of renting the car. On top of that, they charged a $250 deposit. I have no idea when—or if—I’ll ever be refunded the deposit. I have been booking flights, hotels, and cars through Orbitz for many, many years.

This is the first time I have ever been fleeced by a company. Orbitz should NOT be affiliated with this cut-rate company. I feel duped and would never rent from this disreputable company again. Please respond to this report. Thank…

57 to book a hotel stay for me at Veriu Green Square in 18 O’Riordan Street, Alexandria, NSW, Australia for the dates of January 3 to the 14th of this year. On January 6th, I had a personal situation (medical) that necessitated that I leave that morning.

I checked out with the desk clerk, who told me that Orbitz had a policy where I could not get a refund. I contacted Orbitz right after speaking to the desk clerk at Veriu Green Square that morning (on 1/6) via chat and worked with Amin.

He said that refunds were not an Orbitz policy but a hotel one and he would follow up and request a waiver. I then spoke with the hotel clerk who said that the policy was they would have to charge me for 72 hours as that was their cancellation policy.

On April 25, 2023, my wife and I booked a cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines through Orbitz. We have used Orbitz sporadically in the past for some of our travel and this is the first time we have dealt with such a problem.

On the above date, we were given an Itinerary #72542751046604 and a Booking #49800324 with the message from Orbitz, "Thanks! Your cruise is booked. " The cruise is scheduled from October 1 thru October 8, 2023 on the Norwegian Escape.

" There was no reason given for the cancellation. 00 down payment did not go through. This is strange on its face…

Re:itinerary no. 72531556069406 for car rental I always use Orbits for my travel reservation and this is the first time I face very poor experience with car rental. I booked the above car rental for my trip in Orlando, Florida from May 4 to May 8.

Car rental name : Routes Car Rental.

First thing the shuttle to car rental took very long time, then after arrival the agent said I don’t have reservation for you. I gave him the confirmation no. He said it doesn’t exist, I called Orbitz and Orbitz gave him same information I have with no help, knowing this reservation are paid in full in advance! That was very frustrating.

Booked a package trip to Roatan through Orbitz. 4/5 thru 4/15. It was a moderate to low end hotel so our expectations were modest. Upon arrival we learned the reception desk is rarely staffed, and no one there upon afternoon arrival.

We were able to check in with the help of a very nice taxi guy and a security guard that tracked a guy down on the beach. Ten or fifteen minutes later he shows up and we're in. But then we found out there is no maid service or fresh towels/linens, TP, cleaning, garbage pick up, or anything else you may need.

We purchased towels and essentials from a store nearby. We saw someone on the property two times over a 5 day period. Most days the office is closed and locked and no one on the property. The pool, if you can call it that, is disgustingly dirty.

I am trying to book a flight with credit I should have. I have spent many hours on the phone to find I've basically lost a $1000. I will never use them again.

Called Orbitz to use airline credit for round trip flights from Medford, Oregon to Halifax, Nova Scotia. The price on the Orbitz website was $1700-1900 for each individual. I thought it would be an easy process of applying the $1500 United credit.

After an hour of back and forth and numerous delays Rachel, the Orbitz employee told me the fare was over $9,000!! I C was told the price went up! I hung up and did it myself. Same exact flights for $3700 for both.

What’s going on with this ?? What a huge waste of time.

For over 30 years I have booked all my flight through Orbitz this past 6 months have been a catastrophe. 1. I booked a flight to Sydney Australia from nyc with layover in Auckland New Zealand . Upon arriving at ticketing terminal I was asked for a New Zealand passport for my layover en route to Australia .

I was unaware and not informed that for a layover in New Zealand I would need a visa. I was referred to Orbitz customer service by airlines. After waiting for 45 minutes agent attempted to find another flight bypassing New Zealand but was ha le to book new flight because Orbitz rep could not release current flight check in after going back and forth between Orbitz agent and airline agent .

I had the most worst experience just now with a customer service representative from Orbitz. His name I believe was Kumal. I called in because I received an email telling me I needed to call in to receive information regarding a special ticket for my lap infant .

I held on the line for 45 mins ! Then once got in touch with a rep he was immediately rude and sounded already like he did not want to help. Worst customer service. Ever. I spoke to a supervisor who was rude and unhelpful. I purchased travel insurance and had to cancel due to illness. I was told I could use my i itinerary number to rebook and when I tried to, it was not allowing the nonstop flight I chose to be booked, only connecting flights.

When I called Orbitz, I was told the nonstop flights were not available. So I booked the flights I wanted and asked to speak to a supervisor to resolve the problem and the supervisor said the nonstop flights were not available even though I had a reservation. It’s a scam.

They don’t want you using a credit for a desirable nonstop flight. After over a decade using Orbitz, I will never again. We

The app keeps kicking me out. I put in my us airport codes, and I get a map of Africa. And then when I get to the screen about choosing my flights to laguardia, the screen turns White and it kicks me out and goes back to the flight selection and hotel selections page. Deleting.

In this day and age, you would think someone would know better than to lie to customers. I booked a flight on August 26th 2022 to depart on Dec 21st and return on Jan 5th. Got to the airport 2 hours before check-in only to discover that the flight was changed and we were never informed.

Tried calling customer service without any luck, finally after attempting 10 times at least I got online with their web chat. Took the first rep at least 2 hours to get me some help only to call me and transfer the call, the other person supposedly didn't hear me and ended up disconnecting promising a call back.

Absolutely the worst company. I booked a trip friday the 18th of November. The trip said not processed and still charged my card. I couldn’t get ahold of them until 6pm that night and waited to talk to a manager. The manager said the trip did not get booked and he was sorry I couldn’t book it again because the property was sold out. I’ve spent 10’s of thousands of dollars on orbitz travel and they would not do anything for me? Save yourself some time and money and book with Priceline.com.

Do not use orbitz Expedia or Travelocity They are all the same company. I booked for cheaper and the same hotel that they said was sold out.

My complaint is that upon arrival at this hotel there wasn't any hygiene or towels. I requested them and was told they didn't have any. All that was provide was a roll of toilet paper. I barely received towels on Friday.

Still no hygiene products except for soap that's rough on your skin. Bedspread full of cigarette burns curtains and table as well. I've killed roaches in here. I called Orbitz and they wanted to provide me with a gift ticket towards hotel stays.

I don't rent hotels on a daily basis so why do I need a credit of a 100. I had to clean the bathroom myself because it was disgusting. I had to have my daughter purchase it. Just because they are affordable doesn't mean you give your customers the same type of service.

What are they trying to say u get what you paid for instead…

I booked 2 non-stop round trip flight leaving from LGA to RSW on 11/9/22 at 6am. Orbitz changed my flight that was originally leaving on 11/9/22 at 6am to now leaving 11/8/22 at 2:39pm. When i called to dispute this because i cannot leave a day before since i have to work.

I was told “so here’s the thing, we cannot change your flight” When i asked to speak with a manager no one was available. This is such an inconvenience, customer service was horrible and rude. Never using this site again

I had booked a flight since July 2022. Our flight was for 10/06/2022 from ORD Chicago to Miami beach Florida .

When we arrived at the airport on 10/06/2022 we were told that Orbitz did not issue a Ticket . Our flight was scheduled to leave at 5:15am.

I bought a ticket for an international flight from orbitz right before the pandemic got bad. 2 days after arriving to the country, the president made a statement saying all inbound and outbound flights will be stopped. Scared that I’d get trapped, I frantically contacted the airline and orbitz to help me change my return flight.

Neither Korean air or orbitz answered any of my, must’ve been hundreds of calls. I had to buy a very expensive one way ticket back to the states. Orbitz sent me an email later on apologizing, stating they will compensate me.

We booked a car to be picked up at Dublin Airport on 28 August 2022. 00 a day insurance. When we arrived at the Avis counter at Dublin airport, the representative told us the insurance was not with Avis and would not cover damage.

We were told we would need to add a charge of $40 euros a day for insurance or have a $5000 hold put on our credit card.

Also, we were told, quite severely, that we had better, if we did not buy the insurance, take a detailed video of the car so we could prove that we did not cause any damage found. It was very aggressive and challenging.

Then, an additional $10 euros a day was added along with a $50 euro cost if we chose to go to Northern Ireland and a mandatory $50 euro additional administrative charge. We decided it was not wise to rent the vehicle.

I wanted to use a flight credit out of six travelers, no one knew how to separate that one credit from the others so I got the run around, I was told it couldn't be done, next person told me their systems were down, again another person said it would cost me an additional 1000k plus, I was told that I would get a phone call once it was rebooked (i'm still waiting for that call), I was on hold for a manager that never came on the phone.

One phone call took 3 hrs and no help, second phone call took 1 and a half hours, no help, I tried the online chat help, no help. Every time I asked for a manager but no manager was supposedly around.

I had bought flight for my mom and unexpectedly had to cancel because of an emergency surgery that she was having. I was issued a credit of $175.20 for the cost of the flight which I thought, great I'll use that on her next trip. I am trying to get her a flight scheduled now and am aware that the cost of the flight went up to $297.20, which I understand. So taking the cost of the new flight minus my credit I should still owe $122. The customer service agent (she said her name was Jaye) is telling me that I now have a $99 charge on top of this just to use MY credits. I had a round trip flight scheduled for 11/3/22 - 11/6/22. I cancelled this flight on May 26. 20. Yesterday I wanted to book a round trip flight using this credit and was told that it was only for a one way flight.

The person doing the refund did not do it right and it shows one way but when you check back on the ticket you can see that my first trip was a round trip. After more than 2 hours on the chat with your agent Alain Edward nothing was resolved.

23, 2022 TO START ON APRIL 5 2022. 55 WHICH COVERED AIR / HOTEL AND CAR. All went well until the final leg of this trip when UNUTED cancelled my final flight leg from EWR to AVP and rebooked me for the next day at the same time ( 24 hrs ).

On September 11, 2021, I booked flights for our honeymoon in July of 2022. This was done through Orbitz at a charge of $3,144.50. In October of 2021, well after Orbitz was paid in full, the credit card that was used for this transaction was closed due to fraudulent activity.

In early 2022, I got multiple notifications from Orbitz on flight scheduling changes and flight cancellations. One leg of our flight was completely cancelled. On May 4, 2022, we talked to Orbitz and the representative informed us that he could NOT exchange our cancelled flights for new ones as there were NO options on those same days. The only thing we could do was cancel for a refund and rebook. He said that since the credit card I used was no longer open, I’d have to wait 72 hours for my refund to be processed…

50 for flights for our honeymoon trip The airline cancelled the flights. I tried to exchange to different flights through Orbitz and they said there were not any options for the same day. They said since they couldn't fix this, they would refund my money. That was months ago. I have received $0.

Their reason is that the credit card I bought the tickets on is closed and according to them it is humanly impossible to issue me a check or refund a different credit card. IMPOSSIBLE, they say. This is of course, lies.

That credit card was closed for fraudulent activity. You can't reopen an account closed for fraudulent activity. But it's impossible to issue a refund any other way and now they just won't respond to us period. completely ignoring us. This is FRAUD.

My two-way flight Raleigh-Durham NC - Moscow,Russia April 12-May 3 , 2022 was cancelled. On April 2020. I rented a call thru orbitz with Fox in Shannon Ireland. After several days of solicitation, I purchased their offered insurance. This insurance was not valid in Ireland and I had to purchase insurance from them in order to rent the car.

While in the middle of booking my flights to Augusta April7-8 The website change the total amount of fees for air travel and made them $400 more!! As I was already stuck I continued and after I had my seats booked they took them away and asked me to call American Airlines.

I complied and it cost me an extra $240 dollars to get new seats! This is what I call a classic bait and switch.!!! Nobody likes to be taken advantage of. I am sure this is a tactic that is used often to entice people to book.

You should be ashamed of yourselves!!!! I will continue to pursue this because I just don’t think it’s fair to the public. Take a look at yourself. Is profit So important that you must to see if your customers to gain a few extra dollars. com

I made a booking - involved two airlines - got to the payment portal before I could pay for checked luggage. I have used orbitz and expedia many times in the past and the service level has changed so now I will spend a great deal of time negotiating the the airlines web sites (some not in English- which is the reason I use orbitz and

expedia) If this is the service you provide fine - SAY SO - and I will decide whether I want to chase around other websites trying to purchase a checked bag - or more logically just book directly with the airline and purchase the checked bag at the time of the ticket purchase.

I have been trying for over a month to use my flight credit. I have spent countless hours on the phone talking, on hold, and chatting trying to use this credit. I have taken my time finding flights that would work for me.

Orbitz continues to tell me that I need to book my flight with American Airlines. I have called and spoken with AA at least 5 times. They tell me Orbitz can only book and use my credit. My time is almost up to use my credit and no one will help me I keep going back and forth and wasting time.

I have also asked for an extension for health reasons and was denied. I have been using time and energy I don’t have with upcoming surgeries. I have tried over and over to get a flight booked before my surgery on Tuesday to no avail.

Terrible experience with Orbitz and Dollar Rental Car.

Rented a car with Dollar through Orbitz. Tried to make a simple change to the pick up time. Multiple calls to both Orbitz and Dollar and they pointe the responsibility for the change to each other. Was on the phone for over an hour and did not get it changed.

Fast forward to returning the car. Returned it Feb 6th vs the 9th as I had a COVID scare and couldn't use the car to visit folks as intended.

Both companies charged me the full amount for the original rental dates. On the phone with both and they both accepted no responsibility for a refund for the unused days. i paid for 3 nights at a resort. i checked in at the correct date and time. there was an issue with the room ( no water) and the resort changed rooms and issued a 10% credit to orbitz and then to me ( which i supposedly got ) but

at the same time orbitz person put me down as checking out early which i didnt find out till i went to check out as booked. Myself and the resort general mgr and front desk person all spent more than 3 hrs to finally fix it ( orbitz refunding me the last night cost and i would pay the hotel directly).

I used your service to book a room at the Baymont by Wyndham in Montrose, in Akron Ohio from 11/11/21 to 11/13/21. I have been attacked by bedbugs. My arms, legs and back are very itchy, bumpy, and red.

I stayed in room 132. That place is VERY dirty, the add is misleading and the carpet is disgusting.

I have reached out to the motel twice with no one responding to my complaint or messages. I have attached a few pictures of the bites. I have more pictures.

I traveled to DUB in mid-August 2021, and stayed for a month. I booked the flight, rental car, and collision insurance through Orbitz (Confirmation 1134009074). I booked the car for pickup on August 16, though I arrived one day later on the 17th.

Europcar used this one-day difference to tell me that my booking was invalid!! So they tore it up in front of me at the counter, insisting they had to write a new contract! 88- more than DOUBLE!! Plus they looked at my $330 collision policy, and told me that this policy was NOT honored by Europcar in Ireland.

I was scalped by this company, and I’m most unhappy about it. I will never do business with Europcar again. Is there anything you can do for me?

When I got to Dublin airport I had to pay $409.57 more than what I had bought.

They did not accept the insurance!!!! Consequently I paid a total of $676.06 for my rental car in Ireland and I am asking that the difference of $409.57 be refunded immediately.

How they are able to sell insurance on a car that won't be accepted at the car rental location is beyond my comprehension.

We booked a flight through Orbitz that was from Columbus to Portland, Maine and back. We booked it for first class. The first stop was in Washington, was in first class, and my wife and I sat together. When we got to Washington, we went to the counter to check our tickets to Portland.

We found out they were for coach, and my wife and I were sitting in different rows. The flight was full, but the person at the counter was able to assign us seats together. Were we charged for first class for this part of the trip?

If so, can we get some money back? Why wasn't I notified of this when I bought the tickets so that I could have chosen another time or another airline? On the return trip, we were in first class all of the way.

We booked a trip last year thru Orbitz, DFW-HNL(round trip). We cancelled thru Orbitz, however Orbitz did not cancel with American Airlines. We would now like to book our travel on July 10, however we can’t get thru to Orbitz to use our credit.

We only have our reservation code with American but can’t talk to an Orbitz agent with an itinerary number. I will not use Orbitz again unless this is resolved by tomorrow (June30).

This is the worst trip experience ever for my life. I booked flight by orbitz on 27 of Apr. 2021. The flight has changed a few times, and I accepted changing flight. However finally they did not confirm changing flight date.

My flight has already gone and there is unbelievable substance.

I attached file.. There is changing flight information, but the flight has already gone. I got e-mail 11:46am on 7 of June, my flight has changed to 7 of June 6:20am from 9 of June 6:20am. And I tried to contact them, it is also very difficult and annoying. They are never helpful!!!!! I spent a lot of time and expense, and I had to book hotel and other flight.

You should never use orbitz. just buy from airline. I hope so you have a good trip.

I had a trip planned to Eastern Europe booked through Orbitz. LOT gave me a voucher but I am having no luck on a trip on Ukrainian and air canada and one on Tarom and Turkish. Orbitz doesn't seem to care. Can someone contact me

I have been trying for OVER 1 WEEK to get my flight credit back to my credit card. I rebooked my ticket for this year due to COVID 6/2020. I keep getting the run around on this. for the past 16 years this is ALL I have booked my travel though.

I have a travel credit and CANNOT book a flight. The flights they offered are outrageously price with horrible layovers, and now I can't even get ahold of someone online or over the phone to help. Orbitz is so big and impersonal and it's clear they're sticking it to the ordinary person who had to cancel a trip because of COVID.

I booked a flight to the Netherlands which was canceled when Covid hit. 00 for travel protection. I am requesting a refund, and tried to follow on-line, but it wouldn't work. I am a long time customer, and this is devastating for me.
