I booked a round-trip flight for my daughter and myself from New York to Paris for March 2020. Obviously, this was unable to happen due to COVID. I had booked it through Orbitz, Air France over and Iberia home. When the flights were cancelled, I received a notice and I held on hoping that we'd be able to use the tickets at some point sooner rather than later.
However, in November it became clear this was not going to happen. When I called Orbitz to request a refund, I was told that Air France had approved it and it would take 90 days to get the Air France refund, but that Iberia wasn't answering its hones.
After 90 days I checked back with Orbitz and was kept on hold forever, of course. Then, I was told that it would require two different refunds, one from Air France and one form Iberia.…
