There were a series of miscommunications but what upset us most was the ill-mannered interactions with us. We hope Pep Boys understand the importance of customer services. We do not need Pep Boys employees giving griefs on top of our car problems.

Let alone Pep Boys employees lacking empathy, but also they demonstrated rude customer services by disrespectfully answering our questions from the very first conversation to finally hanging up the phone abruptly in mid-conversation when I asked for his name for the negative attitudes throughout the encounter.

Paid $210 for radiator flush and heater core back flush. Waited 2 hours. So how does a mechanic back flush a heater core without removing the 2 lines connected to it? Dirt still on hoses. I paid extra for this.

I'm not even sure they changed the antifreeze. No hoses removed from radiator either.

Pep Boys 1029 EAltimobte Springs Dr Florida has the worst customer service and lying staff in modern history. We took a car to those lazy people for one week, and just because of the color of our skin. The did not serve us.

We towed the car to them, and from that day we had to call them to get an update as to what was wrong with the car. They never touched the car then came up with the transmission problem. For one week, we waited for them to contact a distributor to get the quote to fix the transmission, which we were willing to pay for.

My son's car started shaking and check engine light came on. He took his car to Pep biys and they claim they didna diagnosis and claimed he needed a tune up and some other stuff. I paid over $600 and not even a week later the check engine light came back on.

We took it back up to Pep boys and they turned off the chrck engine light and said not to worry. Well, a month later my son car is back shaking and check engine light on. Either 1 or 2 things happed.

Tbey misdiagnosed his car or they never fixed the real issue. Now they are telling us they did another diagnosis and he needs an intake manifold runner control. They have no clue what they are doing.

My 1999 Pontiac Bonneville was towed to pep boys on the evening of August 3. The car experienced overheating and would stall continuously which left me stranded-hence the tow to Pep Boys in Destin. The following day, I received a call from the Destin Pep Boy center announcing that the problem was an engine crank sensor and six hundred and fifty dollars would be the bill.

I authorized repairs and paid the repair bill that evening. I picked up the car today and had my brother attempt to drive it back to my father's residence- he is the owner of the car, I had just borrowed it.

Pepboys at 3207 Kirkwood Highway across from Prices Corner. Pepboys told me that my repair was going to be $150. Then they said they "fixed it" and now it is going to be $746. After I wrote a review the manager Tim said they would only charge me $400.

After, I paid them the $400 and pulled off the lot. I turned on my air conditioner. The air conditioner no longer works, and my car alarm is going off for no reason by itself. It even goes off while I am driving.

and my brake pedal is going down almost to the floor to stop the car. I took it back to Pepboys and they put a little bit of Freon in it. It is working for now, but the repair guy said that it is only a little bit of Freon.

I went to the store, which is located 17811 Colima Rd, City of Industry, CA 91748, on June 17, and the store rep told me they only had two mechanics and they were busy, so the rep told me they couldn't do anything. But I did see those two mechanics using thier cellphones and actually, they were not busy. They didn't want to work, didn't want to do anything. Ethan Goober has a funny way of being professional. I was in for a simple inspection yesterday, everything was fine outside of the dude running the front desk asks me for my keys (which I just handed to him / he misplaced).

45m later everything was good to go, or so I thought. I show up to register my car, and their Tech Timothy entered the license plate number wrong, mixing up the letters. This peeked in high school tool, Ethan Goober, refused to apologize for his tech's ignorant mistake and refused to take any accountability.

I paid to have a new Rack & Pinion installed by Pep Boys in Lakewood, CO. UNFORTUNATELY, the install failed and ruined the Power Steering pump as well as the Newly installed R&P. I have had to tow it back to the shop today. It's NOT Drivable!!!

I took my car to PEP BOYS TIRES because my car was rocking a lot, they charged me another $700, I left with the car the same way and with 4 dashboard lights on, I had to take it somewhere else so my car wouldn't rock anymore and they wanted to charge me another $300 to change the sensor that they damaged, bad service they say one thing and then say another, I have witnesses because I didn't go alone in any of the times

My 2015 Ford Taurus needed a water pump. I have coverage with CarShield. I took it to PepBoys, which is accepted by CarShield. PepBoys said they would have to take the timing chain off to replace the water pump and I'd have to pay for that part.

When I called to ask how the repair was going PepBoys said they were having a time getting the timing chain on and they would call me when the car was ready. I went to pick up the car when they said it was ready.

When I cranked the car up the engine light came on. So I turned the car off. The engine light has never come on. I went back inside to PepBoys and told them they needed to find out why the engine light came on.

I purchased brakes & rotors about 30 days ago & all the rotors are rusted. My car is driven for miles daily. Now I'm being asked to purchase coated rotors. I'm not a mechanic & was not given a choice nor told that they can rust.

i called pep boys and was told no one was there and it should be fast to get my brakes fixed so, I went in at pep boys at 9am for brakes to get changed and I had to wait until 3 pm to get a response back and the response was that I had parts hanging from my truck and it would cost about $2,000 to get fixed.

I went in to see why is it costing so much and when I went there they said that the parts fell and there’s nothing they can do and that’s not there problem and the only thing is they can fix it and lower it to about 800$ . I had an appointment to get my oil changed today April 17th at the pepboys on greenway rd and 7th st (85022) there was no where to park and cars were lined up behind each other. I asked if this was a bad time or if I should make a different appointment.

I was informed that they were always busy like this and he kept telling me he didn’t know when he could fit me in. I said that I have a 10:30 appointment. He said I understand that but I don’t know when I can get you in.

We don’t take walk ins I said I’m not a walk in, I have an appointment. He said I understand that but I don’t know when I can take you in. I ended up canceling my appointment and making a new one.

He made sure he told me that they were the busiest pepboys in the valley yet I had no problem last year

Told, by this Pep boys location, 3 weeks ago needed rear brakes after having oil changed. Made appointment and took car in for rear brakes and to check Electronic Stability Control. They had the car for 8 hours (9 to 5). Store called and stated I need rotors. Found out they needed to come from Tampa Fl. Numerous phone calls was told they were working on the car. Upon picking up the car was told the car did not need rear brakes and they did not check the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) because the tech has left at 3:30 and never returned. I called at 3:30 and was told the ECS was being looked diagnosed. Called again at 4:30 and was told they were still diagnosing the ECS.

Never again will I step foot in a Pep Boys store. Also I find out that AutoZone acquired some of the Pep Boys stores…

Store manager James is a liar. Went to get my battery checked which mind you I purchased on 11/27/2019 with a four year warranty. I already had the battery checked at three other places all with a reading of bad battery.

Went to PEPBOYS Fort Myers where I purchased said battery to get checked, was told would take 2 hours because they test it then charge it then test it again. Appt was for 9 am, the battery print out readings James gave us at a time of 7:58 AM and 8:08 AM.

How is that possible if I was there at 9 and exactly how did that allow you to charge it for 2 hours when those readings are 10 minutes apart. James comes out and said oh it's a bad battery you will need to replace it.

I went into Pep Bits at 1052 Stelton Road South Plainfield NJ, to have them check my tire because it has a slow leak. Rahsaan Green did everything but check my tire. He said I have to wait until 7pm before they could get to me, I said okay.

Went to have an oil change and tire rotation. Simply request, right? Apparently not. After oil change drove 5 days. Checked oil and nothing on dip stick. Took car back and only 1 quart of oil in car. They had to add 4 more quarts.

Can you imagine what would have happened to my engine????? If I would not have gone back. Never will I go back to Pep Boys for any service again. Terrible, terrible.

3-30-2023 Went to get oil change and tire rotation. Had an appointment for noon. I dropped of my truck (2012 Tacoma) then walked to a couple local stores to pass the time. After 1 1/2 hour my truck was still in the bay and the mgr.

wanted to speak with me. They "couldn't" rotate the tires (60,000 mile radials with less than 30,000 miles on them and just under 2 years old) because they showed signs of dry rot and wear on the front tires, even though there was ample tread in my opinion.

I have been using blended oil for the last 8 or 10 oil changes, but Pep Boys couldn't use blended because the computer said it's not recommended. I was forced to purchase full synthetic oil. I had a $10/20 coupon ($10 off for regular or blended oil/$20 off for Synthetic).

My husband dropped my car off at PepBoys on 3737 Crenshaw Blvd in Los Angeles, CA to get 1 tire replaced after getting a flat. They recommended I replace 2 tires to make sure the tread was even and I asked them to place the undamaged tire inside my car so I'd have a spare for the future.

My car required special-order tires so it remained in their possession for a couple of days. I picked it up after 5pm on Friday, 3/3 and was leaving town that weekend. In my car was a suitcase along with several unopened work-related packages mailed to my office that I was taking home.

I bought 4 New tires from Pepboys In DIistrct Heights, Md. But the say that was dirt. I took the car home and the next day, I went to get in my car the back right tire was flat. Not from any thing being in the tire but for just being a defective tire.

The test showed me the date of the tires , which were a year old in 2-2022. It's 2-2023. Those are not new tires. Fore almost a 1000. 00 you sell old tires as new tires that's to last me for at least 3year.

If lm having problems with them already what will the future hold for these tires. I've been a customer for along time. It is really questionable now

I DROVE MY TRUCK TO THE STORE IN WILLOW GROVE BUT I DIDN'T GET THE WORK DONE AFTER THEY TOLD ME WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS BECAUESE I JUST HAD MY TRUCK FIX AT ANOTHER PLACE W/THAT PROBLEM AND IF THEY REPAIRED IT I WOULD LOOSE THE WARRANTY. SO, I HAD MY TRUCK TOWED TO THE PERVIOUS REPAIRE SHOP AND I HAVE PROOF OF THAT AND THE WORK THEY REDID.

BUT ,YOUR STORE IN WILLOW GROVE STILL CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE FULL AMOUNT PARTS AND LABOR W/O DOING ANY WORK. It i could give a negative start i would. I came in for an oil change. After my oil change my jeep was leaking oil so I brought it back. They kept my jeep for a week and charged me over 1700 bucks.

It's still leaking i made an appointment for 8 am and it sat there all day and nobody looked at it. They told me to come back the next day at 9. So far I've been sitting here for two and a half hours and nobody has touched my jeep.

I will never come back to or recommend pep boys again. I'm taking my keys back and leaving!

I’ve been trying to speak to someone in Corporate Offices for past 2 weeks without one phone in return, totally unacceptable. I want to know how does the VP of a company not return customers calls? Especially when I reported all the problems I’ve had with my repairs on my car.

i went in on Sunday Feb 19 to get a new alternator on my Ford Explorer. He said there was a few options wait until Tuesday for a lower price model or there is two different models and i can order them today. he quoted me a price and I approved it. He ordered the wrong alternator and bought one across the street and told me it would be a little more and I told him I have no choice but to get it. He put it in and he walked next door to auto zone and bought it and then put almost a $170 markup on the part and said it was corporate policy to do that. Brought my 2007 ford focus with only a small coolant leak, the mechanic removed the intake manifold to fix it, after reassembly my focus could only rev a very high idle wich is not normal, I immediately brought it to the attention to the mechanic and he was stumped and did not know what he did wrong, my focus has been in their (pep boys) possession for the last 10 days while I am without transportation to work.

On 12/07/2022 I purchased some tires and had them installed the technicians cross threaded My Hub bolts on the passenger side and my wheel came off on the highway my car sustained major damage and rims. I filed a claim and I had my car towed to Pep Boys and they sent out an inspector and made a report.

I went today and had an oil change in tires taking care of on my back end. I actually told the attendant what kind of oil I wanted in it and everything. He said there was no leave and find out there is no oil in my car at all.

Hard to believe they're still in business. Went to the Annandale location for a dash light that came on. It actually indicated what was wrong and where. The mechanic asked me which sensor is the problem, I told him, but they still charged me a $20 diagnostics fee.

I was also charged a $20 fee for a 90 warranty on the balancing of the wheel they took off. I asked them to cancel the warranty but was told you'll come later with an unbalanced tire and we need to fix it so we can't cancel it.

Left the car there for 5 hours. When I went to pick up the car, I told the manager you're over charging me for the part, Advance auto part has the same part for $55 and you're charging me $150, thats a huge difference.

Customer service at Pep Boys, Rt. 70, Marlton, NJ I made an appointment to have my car inspected as I did not want to wait in line at the DMV. I was quoted a price of $52 and was told it would take a few minutes.

When I got there, I was told there were several jobs ahead of me and I would have to leave the car and wait. I protested, and this woman Kathy interrupted our conversation and asked me when I make an appointment at a doctors office if Im always seen right away.

She was exprmely nasty and totally inappropriate. She needs customer service training. I was then told by the guy to go to DMV because its free. I said I didn't mind paying the $52 fee. 00. This is totally outrageous.

I hadn’t heard from them for 4 hours so I paid for an Uber back to the shop and encountered another employee that said they tried calling me 10 times, meanwhile my phone hadn’t rung all day, to tell me my oil cap was cracked and

they haven’t changed the oil. He also stated they close in 20 minutes and he wasn’t going to change my oil even though I informed him I have an extra oil cap in my trunk. He refused to change my oil which can be done in less than 20 minutes simply because he was too lazy to do so because “they close in 20 minutes”. Absolutely horrible guest service.

I took my car to the McCain Blvd North Little Rock Ar location for a break job the week of father's day last year which didn't happen. In the process of the serviceman returning my car which I waited my car ended up danged.

I was to go get an estimate an bring it back which I did five times even provided pictures of the damage by the way the service person name I spoke with name is NORMAN . I haven't heard from this guy since when I go by he keeps asking for copies of the estimate again an again.

Being that the damage happened on their I was told the issue had to be handled by their insurance it has been months an no response. So I will be hiring a Attorney for this matter if I don't hear anything after this email.

On Tuesday, 12/12/2022 I ordered tires and scheduled an appt with store #1808 for 8am, Thursday 12/15. The appt was confirmed via email from Pep Boys the next day.

Forward to today, Thursday 12/15, I was told the tires weren’t delivered yet. I was also told it’s because it wasn’t paid. Upon showing confirmation of payment, the rep said it wasn’t authorized yet. I’m ready to go somewhere else, as I had already submitted my time off with my manager for this. However, the rep went ahead and authorized payment on the spot which gave me no choice but to come back to get the tires. He claimed that is the only way to get the tires delivered. That’s all fine but why wasn’t that done when I paid for them online 3 days prior? I’ve wasted time and gas, and part of my vacation time. I have to miss my…

I dropped of my car on 11/28/22 about 2 hours before closing to get an oil change. I needed to pick up car at 1pm. I called at 1 to see if it was finished and was told 30 minutes.

I get a ride a show up at 1:50 only to wait until 2:05 before someone shows up in the building. (I looked around the service bays)My car still not ready. I needed to pick up my daughter at school at 2:05.

I didn’t get out of there until 2:20. This is no longer convenient to have work done on my vehicles personal and corporate. This was the Blackwood,NJ store
