i was using the glass 4 cup i put boiliing water in to make jello i put to much water in so i put the cup in the sink to take some water out when the glass exploded in hundress of pieces

I have 6 Pyrex bowls with lids ~ 3 are graduated sizes and the other 3 are all one small size. The lids for the 3 graduated sizes are cracked and do not fit tightly any more. it's like they shrunk or something!

I have Anchor Hocking bowls with lids and have never had a problem with them. Several of my friends and acquaintances have had the same issues with cracking lids. Is Pyrex making improvements concerning this issue? If not, I will replace my Pyrex bowls with Anchor Hocking products.

I have been a long customer of your products but have not had a lot of success with your 3 cup -750ml lids, just finished buying your 21 pc set of glass storage containers and the lid does not fit (To Big) for the bowl, or maybe it's the bowl I am not sure, I have to put rubber bands to hold the lid on.

This has been an issue with your product for awhile. I have tried the Red and Blue lids with no luck. It would be nice if you replaced them since I am a loyal customer today not so sure about tomorrow if nothing is done about this.

I have a complaint about Pyrex half handle Measuring cups. I think the idea of the new handles are a safety hazard. I have been stewing about this for a very long time. I totally hate them. They are awkward and very difficult to hang on to.

Taking them out of the microwave scares me to death. You can't even hang onto them when you get soapy water on them. I have one with the double handle on it and I love it. They are now considered "Vintage".

The half handles you have now are ridiculous. Hate them !!!!!!!

The temperature was set on 180 degrees, which I've done hundreds of times before. Whilst baking the dish shattered, I could not salvage the food, glass was all through it. I'm very disappointed in the product. Everything had to be thrown away.

I open a can of soup put soup in a Pyrex bowl and placed in microwave for 2 min. Removed bowl and was on about the 4th spoon of soup when I felt some thing sharp in my mouth upon spiting it out to examine I seen a piece of white glass so

I took my 2 Pyrex dishes out of oven after making dinner. I places in counter on dry cloth and the other on top of stove. I walked to trash can heard a loud noise and the pan blew up all over the kitchen my children were in there thank good no one was really hurt just some cuts from glass.

On thanksgiving weekend I purchased the 8 piece glass mixing bowl set from Bonton Dept. store in Camillus, NY. Their ad stated $10 rebate in which the rebate form was only available online. When I asked about proof of purchase was told you could take a picture of the UPC code on the box, as this procedure was used by MANY retailers.

When I called your Customer Service number was told it would only be valid if I cut out the UPC code from the bottom of the box. Are you kidding me, at Christmas when many consumers will purchase this as a gift? No one is going to give a gift with a hole cut out of the bottom of the box. For Thanksgiving I was excited to use my new Pyrex dish. They are the only dishes I've used continuously over my decades in the kitchen. I have some that were even passed on from my Mother, so needless to say I'm no stranger to the quality and durability of your brand. This is why I was so shocked when my new Pyrex dish exploded on Thanksgiving. I had made a family sized mac & cheese, from scratch mind - you none of that box stuff. I took it over my Mother's house, no freezing to hot temperature changes occurred.

I took it out of the carrying case and placed it on the table it shattered. It wasn't dropped, I just heard a popping sound and there it went. Glass was also in the green beans. It was so many pieces of glass it was too dangerous to eat two of our entrées. I was heartbroken about…

I made supper tonight for my family of four. I put a steak in your pyrex cookware and put it in the oven as I have done before. Only this time when I took it out it exploded in my hands and glass went everywhere and supper was ruined.

I have had a faithful Pyrex measuring jug for many many years (I am 71yrs). I have used it for lots of things, I use it every day for my husbands porridge in the microwave. It has been used for whisking cream etc.

I have bought 2 more in the last few years but now unable to use them for measuring as the measurements have faded completely off the sides. Unbelievably my old faithful still has all measurements!!! Sadly this morning it got broke so now have to guess with the 2 newer ones.

What I would like to know why the newer jugs have not worn so well as my faithful?

I have a problem with the Pyrex round storage containers. The cover is meant to b microwaveable but it's not. 65l another 950l by using them to cover the glass containers & microwave for less then 2 mins. How can I can replacement?

My dish exploded when taken out of the oven and placed on a table on a dish cloth to cool. t was in the oven on 350 F for 25 mins. I will NEVER but another product from Pyrex, we were very lucky no one was hurt but everything on the table had to be thrown out because of the shards of glass.

I have had this cookware for 2 years and used it on September 12, 2016 as normal. Put it on the kitchen counter to cool when it began to crack. See attached pics for results.

This is the 3rd time I have had Pyrex products explode in the oven. My Pyrex cookware was only in the oven 15 minutes at 350 degrees when it exploded and sent shards of glass everywhere! I can't imagine what the would have happened if I had been in the process of taking it out and it exploded?

I've read several complaints on Google where this has happened to a lot of other people as well. Someones going to get seriously hurt one of these days. I have a video and pictures. These products are not safe for ovens.

This 8 cup glass measuring cup has the cups marked in the wrong spot by 3/4 of a cup too much (meaning 5 cups is actually just shy of 6 cups). I have made about 15 different types of Jams for the last 20 years.

The last two years the strawberry jam I made turned into syrup, when it did it again for the 2nd year it occurred to me that the only two ways that this happens is overripe fruit or wrong fruit to sugar measurements. I purchased the 8 cup two years ago and only use it for one type of jam (strawberry) as it takes 5 cups and my other measuring cup only goes to 4 1/2 cups.

So I used a one cup to poor into the 8 cup 5 times and found the measurement was wrong. Thanks allot Pyrex!

Three lids ( 2 - 2 cup lids and 1 - 4 cup lid to my Pyrex storage 14 piece glass set have warped. The lids were not used in the oven or for that matter the dishwasher. I would appreciate if replacement can be made.

Literally blew up in my hand removing from the microwave.

Used my Pyrex stoneware to bake a pasta bake and taking it out of the oven it collapsed. The dish split in two !! I was lead to believe Pyrex was the best and lasts a lifetime! Not in my case,therefore my husband had to throw it away, my mum always told me Pyrex is the best it will last forever!

I'm now thinking should I replace it with another or ditch Pyrex and buy an alternative,am I wrong in believing they should last forever? Did I just have an unfortunate experience or is this the norm? I look forward to hearing your comments.

I was baking chips in my pyrex dish in the oven at 220 degrees when my pyrex glass dish, the big one, shattered. What do I need to do to get a replacement from Pyrex?

I bought 1 non stick Pyrex Roaster a few months back and it is the best Roasting tin I have, washes up nice and because it non stick you can make gravy from the meat juices, in fact I was so impressed I went and bought another one. Notice a few weeks back the non stick was peeling (and I don't use metal spoons etc on it), this has slowly got worse to the state the tray is now rusting and now my other tray has started doing the same thing.

Really disappointed as I spent a lot of money on these two trays and at the start was really impressed but to only last less than a 6wks is a waste of money. I couldn't put both pictures on here but if you send me an email address I can send you both as the first tray is worse than the second tray that is pictured here.

My son in law was in his kitchen making dinner, as part of their routine his 8 month old son sits in the kitchen door way in his high chair to watch daddy cook. My daughter took their son to the kitchen as my son in law got the pyrex glass jug from the cupboard which was purchased from Asda Roehampton only 2 months ago. He rinsed the jug with cool water and was going to put the jug on the side, the jug was still in his hand and it just exploded.

Obviously their first priority was to make sure the glass was not on their baby. The jug had not been in a temperature change it just shattered and covered the whole kitchen. After using pyrex containers for several months I noticed that the lids of the containers have gone faulty. Pieces of the lids have fallen off, specifically the outside edges of the lids. With these pieces falling off, it is hard for the lids to stay onto the containers and keep its form. I have been very disappointed with the quality of these lids as I planned on using them for a longer period of time than a several months.

I am hoping to receive new replacements for these lids. I have attached photos of the lids. The lid in red/pink is not Pyrex and has been great for all the years I've used it for. Compared to other containers and lids I've used Pyrex hasn't compared in quality.

I made a pan of lasagna in a 9x13 Pyrex cookware(oven safe). The lasagna was in the oven for about 30 minutes when I heard a loud pop from the oven. the Pyrex had shattered and there was my beautiful lasagna all over my oven. Oven safe? I know things happen..

but the more I read, I am finding that the Pyrex shattering is more common than it should be. There should be some kind of consumer warning on the Pyrex cookware when being purchased. I have used my last piece of Pyrex cookware.

A couple of years ago, I brought 6 Pyrex dishes all different sizes with red lids on them. They are recommended for oven, dishwasher, microwave and freezing safe. Until now I have never had the need to put the dishes into the freezer; however, I am beginning to, as I tend to freeze my daughter’s food. I put the cooked food or left overs in the Pyrex dish then let it cool down naturally before I put the lid on and put it in the freezer. But since I’ve started doing this the lids are all splitting.

On one of the smaller dishes the corner gained a crack, now it has broken and a piece of glass has come away. Luckily it never shattered in my freezer. I find these product dangerous if they are going to slowly shatter in the freezer; I am so pleased that I noticed this as glass could have been…

I had bought a large and small Round Pyrex dishes, after a couple of months the large round dish just shattered for no reason, so I replaced it. The same thing has happened again, I have not got the first dish but have kept the second one for proof if you require it.

I have had a Pyrex casserole set for over 36 years with no problem, although the lids have had the glass chipped off but still usable. I look forward to hearing from the Pyrex corporate offices regarding the problem with the two round dishes I purchased recently.

Plastic lid is crumbling only in this particular model. The other round ones are perfect. I had to throw the other one away as it had gone to pieces. Picture attached.

My wife and I were making a roast beef using a Pyrex baking pan. We set it in the oven on the center rack at 325°F then about 45 minutes later we were startled by a loud bang and crashing sound.

When we opened the oven there it was, our 7lb roast sitting on large glass shards, the remaining glass all over the bottom of my oven. It made a big mess and a huge disappointment both for the ruin roast and my confidence in Pyrex products.

i received for Christmas a bunch of glass bowls with lids as my mother didn't want us using plastic anymore. Every morning I make my eggs and put them in the glass bowl to take to work. Today I put them in there with no lid on it and it completely shattered all over the counter.

I have saved the bowl in pieces in case you need it to inspect. Kinda a shame they are very nice and it shattered after one month. The bowl was at room temperature in the cabinet and there was no cracks.

Last night 1/7/16 I was cooking a meatloaf for my family. Around 7pm I went to pull the oven rack that the pyrex dish was on out to remove the meatloaf and the entire dish literally, no exaggeration exploded!! Glass shards went everywhere, including on the meatloaf itself as well as the inside of my oven and on the outside of the oven onto the floor. The only thing left of the dish itself was the bottom that the meatloaf was still attached too, everything else was gone, into shards of glass all over! I was completely caught off guard by this as I have never had any issues with this type of cookware ever!

Second time my pyrex shattered. It ruined the meal, I lost the cost of the food I was preparing, and there was a potential safety hazard. The shattered glass took a lot of time to clean up. I really like the product and now I am afraid to use it.

We had a long shallow Pyrex dish explode inside of an oven at Thanksgiving. The dish was not cold at the time it exploded nor did it contain cold food items. It had been in the oven for several minutes heating up.

It blew shattered glass inside of the oven but did not damage the oven or harm anyone. I am concerned whether to still use your product in the oven as I have for several years in the past.

Moreover given the this product was not misused do you gave a policy of replacing it for your customers?

I cooked some meat in my Pyrex dish Monday night, went to wash it up the next day by hand, and the dish just cracked into two, it wasn't dropped bashed frozen or anything which could corse it to break, it was quite scary. Hello there, I have a Pyrex meat tray which I bought from wait rose about 3 months ago and I got 3 of them as 3 different sizes. I haven't had a problem with all 3 but one (smaller one) where the coating is coming off in different place and rusty.

I can't work it out as due to there non stick trays u only need to wipe them which is great, but this one the coating starting coming off! I will gladly Sen you it or take a picture so you can see what I mean.

Maybe the company should be involved in a lawsuit at this point?

My family's dinner ruined with glass and spaghetti EVERYWHERE. Upset is an understatement, not only was the stores closed at this time but most fast food restaurants had closed as well . This is the second Pyrex that has exploded I bought a 3 pack and I'm down to the tiniest one.

I made homemade macaroni and cheese in my 9x13 glass baking dish. I took it out of the oven and placed it on my stove top ( that was not hot) and the dish exploded all over the place! I've never had this happen and have made this dish a hundred times.

Let me just start out by saying that I am a huge fan of vintage pyrex and will continue to use it when I find them at thrift stores because they are better made quality and do not explode, but with that being said ... We made stuffed chicken one night at 350 dgr.

We took it out of the oven and placed it on a rack in the middle of a warm stove top (not touching any heating element) and 30 secs later the whole thing exploded with a loud pop and glass was everywhere. If my mother had not stepped away right before that she would have been hit with a lot of hot glass.

This ruined our dinner and our night. I am sorry to say that I will no longer be buying pyrex and will make sure to spread the word to others so no one gets hurt.

This is second time I have complained about my roasting tin which after just a few uses is losing it's non stick coating and it is sticking to the food. Perhaps maybe you will answere this time but I am not holding my breathe, considering the amount of complaints I won't be buy any of your products again.

After 4 or 5 uses the none stick coating is coming off to such an extent that it is sticking to the food. I expected more from Pyrex!

My pyrex clear glass baking dish just exploded like a bomb blowing glass everywhere including all in my hair luckily not directly in my face! Your company should be sued and shut down before someone is killed!
