I was a customer of Rent A Center for a few years. One of the salespeople was in a fight with my 18 year old daughter at the time. It caused a lot of friction between me and being a customer.

The customer service was very disappointing. My payment history was all over the place because of being laid off during the Covid pandemic. I paid my bill off completely. I went on online because I was receiving voicemail from the store about specials.

I went online and got approved for merchandise I went through the website to set up auto pay and tried to set up delivery. Delivery was not allowing set up. I called the store. The same salesperson who is now a manager answered and said that she canceled the other order.

I asked why she said that I was a rude customer and that I had poor customer…

Hello my name is Timmy feliz I was approved for 65 dollars a week on the sight and spoke to an employee about it and he said he put my info in and everything was good to go however upon speaking to another employee named Richard at the Oxnard store I was given misinformation.

Richard told me that the only way I could purchase an ebike was if I bought it out right. Why is the company called rentacenter if customers aren’t given the option to rent to own. So I asked if I could lease an ebike and Richard said if they had any in the store I could lease one however currently there was not one single ebike in the Ventura store or the Oxnard store.

However upon going to the store I saw that they did have some available for other people. Seems like discrimination of some sort or I’m not sure…

Matt in the Winder location is very rude. Even if you speak with him over the phone he still tries to show up at your residence trying to “enforce” his power. I had rather deal with anyone but him. I also ordered a replacement TV months ago because the TV they delivered was defective and it still has not been delivered.

It doesn’t take 3+ months for a tv to come in. I feel like they lie at this location!

George at the 183 Austin Tx location is extreme rude. He called me to notify me that he personally had made the decision NOT to give me a PS5 because I would end up stealing it based on last late payment history.

Was threatened with a fight on the store by an employee at the fort Oglethorpe Georgia location. His name was Justin. He took his shit off and tried too start a fight. You can look at the cameras from October 7/2023. He was very unprofessional.

I called Corporate office to complain about the manager Julie at the 1960 location. Spoke with Taurus at corporate who is rude & lying about he is the only person to talk to in Corporate. I left my complaint for the district manager & he never called me back.

I will never ever rent from this terrible company again. ALL the furniture is used and they harass you to the extreme. The manager was very rude & didn't want to work with you on your account. The District Managers don't do their jobs by not calling you or talking to the manager at the store.

Horrible place to rent from & the furniture is damaged & old.! Aaron is way better!

I renewed supposedly a brand new flat screen TV when I brought it to my house it won't even in the box the remote didn't work. Caca roaches was coming out of the TV. I called the company that I got it from and told them what was going on.

The Rent A Center in Tupelo,MS on Gloster Street is the worst! I have been harassed day after day even though I've told them when I get paid. I make my payments even if their is a late fee I still pay and they know that.

They sent a driver to my house on a Saturday evening trying to pick up my stuff and I'm only 3 days late which I always pay the 3 days late fee. They've harassed me and harassed me. I do not reccomend this place to anyone.

Went to Rent-A-Center (Waldorf, MD) today after receiving a text this morning from them informing me that i have $400 for return credit. I was pleased with the service I received last time I did business with them, so I wanted to rent from them again.

When I got there, the employee was incredibly rude with me and the manager sent him away and then immediately accused me of stealing the processor from the desktop i rented from them 2 months ago (I didnt). They even turned the pc on while I was there last time to make sure it worked and it did.

The manager cussed at me, told me I was stupid to show my face there, put words in my mouth, and was overall disrespectful to me. Its crazy that he went straight to calling me a thief, no questions asked. Completely unprofessional.

I had recently got a dryer and they said it was brand new. Well like 2 weeks after I got it I had to replace the belt. I wasn't gna ask them cus when I first got it it took them 2 weeks to get it to my house.

I was renting a washer dryer from yall and a queen bed and I got behind and even though I making payments as I could and I was trying. It was never good enough your people at the mineral wells tx store called a deadbeat and constantly called and harassed me for payments true iwas not giving them what they wanted but I was still paying and trying.

I have several items from rent a center and both bedroom sets are not able to be used due to being damaged, I contacted the store for replacement of both bed frames and they told me they can't replace items because there is no insurance on these items. I was renting from you guys in Arkadelphia AR and I got behind on my bill. I had talked to the manager and asked him to change my account to every to weeks instead of monthly. He said that he would. Well he didn’t.

I had a bed set and ps5 from RAC got behind on payments and with this economy who isn’t getting behind. Anyways they were suppose to come pick up merchandise, I had a family emergency and set everything outside for easy pick for them.

When I returned home I assumed the everything was picked up until my children and the babysitter told me about how they would bang on the door like they were trying to break it down and when the sitter and kids decided to leave the RAC drivers proceeded to chase them in and almost wrecking into them until the RAC employees decided to give up.

Now I don’t know when RAC started hiring “bounty hunters” to retrieve items but to put peoples life in jeopardy is absurd. Clearly someone must of thought the items were free and took them but at this point the level…

I have been a customer with them when they open the doors at Rocky Mount Va all the way up till now. Things happen and want good but I keep my mouth shut but I am know tired of throwing money away.

I rented a bedroom Set May 8, 2023 at the Waldorf store. The furniture was used with visible chips on the dresser, headboard and night stand, but the rental was temporary for guest. I called and inquired about purchasing the furniture and manager posted amount for new furniture.

The customer service was poor, manager Cassidy was rude, inaccurate,and not truthful. They have lied to me, overcharge my account, mixed up another person's account with mine. The location is in Houston, TX. on Mykaw road. I have asked for the furniture to be picked up 3 or 4 times.

I moved to a new apartment and rent a center moved my washer and dryer to the new apartment. The guys used my washer lid to move it around which broke the hinges. I tried contacting the store to have it replaced. My last payment was going to be processed within the next day or two. They wouldn’t answer the phone. I communicated it would be paid in full tomorrow, Friday, which is when they said it could be paid, but then because of the lack of communication amongst the staff, I continue to get threatened and harrassed. On May 2, 2023, i ordered a refrigerator online and that evening, the store representative, Jackie, contacted me to tell me they had a "used," refrigerator. " I tried calling the store back, but Jackie would not answer the telephone, so i drove to the store to ask for a refund.

" I couldn't believe her response and retorted, "Excuse you" and told her i was going to contact headquarters and she told me that was fine. Although Jackie claimed she had refunded my payment for initiating the contract, she had not and she deliberatly did not finalize the transaction to refund my payment.

I have called The headquarters two times, yet my issue is not resolved. Such poor customer service for a customer who has been a customer for years, yet they condone this treatment.
