Roku is a POS, period. I have a Roku TV but after 2 years, I'm now unable to stream anything from the Roku channel. I just get a black screen. Streaming from the mobile app is broke, too. Only receiving playback error messages.

Customer support is nice but still can't get the channel to work after a week. It sounds like they banned my account or blocked my IP address but I can't image for what reason. The Roku channel is free. Just stay away from their products and services. It's garbage.

I used a Roku for some time to stream channels like Hulu and Max, but my puppy ate the cord. I just purchased a new Roku, the Express 4K+, and those channels don't show up, though the icons are on the box.

The channel store is not in alphabetical order and has over a1000 channels. There is no search function, even though the videos all say to use a search function. I spent two hours trying to find out how to get these channels, which are the only reason I use Roku.

if you click chat support, it takes you to a tech company that charges you to answer questions. For a mere $26 they will talk to you on the phone. If I can find any other way at all to watch these channels, I am ditching the Roku, will never use one again. It is horrible.

My Roku 4802R didn't work properly and they did nothing to try to help. They agreed to replace it, but the problem isn't hardware, its in its basic firmware and that issue has been documented repeatedly in Roku's own forums.

I spent hour on the phone talking to people who knew way less than me and just wasted my time. They also claim that there is no way to complain about poor service or product performance.

The JVC. ROKU TV is the worst piece of crap I have ever bought. It’s OS keeps kicking the show I’m watching off and back to the Home Screen. No more!!!! I’m throwing this piece of crap in the dumpster.

Do NOT buy any TV that had ROKU embedded in it. You will be sorry.

Roku as taken money out of my account , for 2 months when they replied to an email saying I have no subscriptions therefore they should not have taken my money. I have sent over 20 emails, I get automated replies and nothing gets done.

Really poor communication, no one resolves this issue . Do not trust this company with your bank details due to the fact they have access to take money !!! And no- one refunds the money .

All I wanted to do was to upgrade my new subscription to Peacock to no commercials. How difficult can this be???? I got absolutely no help from chat or my phone call to an agent! The agent told me to call Peacock and gave me a non working number, Peacock told me to go through Roku.

) I went in complete circles! What a nightmare. All this just to upgrade my subscription, which never happened. Couldn't do it on my TV Roku, couldn't do it on my Roku account online, couldn't do it through Peacock. Horrific customer service!

Once you sign up for a service you are screwed. Every month I cancel HBO and every month I get billed for HBO and there is no way to talk to a human being. They say they are available 24/7 but not for billing questions.

I guess I will bail out on ROKU to stop the billing.

I do not even have an account with Roku so I don't even know how they get my card number but they charge my card for $10 this morning for a bet Plus my name Laquia Redmond Phone 850-480-8133. Email.

com I called my bank and they gave me a 1-800 number which is a number that y'all sent me to another freaking automatic service I have had to order two cars because Roku keeps constantly Credit in my account I want my money back if I don't get a contact with anyone soon I will be making a complaint with the Better Business Bureau ASAP I'm sick of this

Constantly taking 3 to 4 payments in one day then saying they are for subscriptions that I have paid thru actual subscriptions like Starz Showtime & not using roku options for these channels. While speaking to a foreign representative she laughed at me and turn around and spoke with her friends around her in another language speaking about my issue also loudly trying to sing into the phone because I asked for a supervisor while I was told a supervisor was busy.

I recorded the call and will be taking it further I will also be contacting the media news to alert them of the issues Roku is having while treating customers like they are not important or a joke of the day to co workers. I asked for a customer rep ID# was told her name was all I needed her name was Arie in account and billing.

This company is terrible. When you call in, you can only speak to their billing dept. The reps in billing are also not trained properly, to advise customers they cannot speak to anyone in their products and service dept. For customer care, you have to do online chat session which is a JOKE.

I needed help with online service issue. The people in their support team chat Alven and Mark, kept transferring chat to other support people. The ironic thing i was never given any support. It’s like they didn’t know what to do and kept transferring session from one person to the next.

This company offers NO help to customers at all. Terrible company, if choosing a streaming service look elsewhere because they offer NO SUPPORT TO CUSTOMERS.

I have been trying to purchase a promotional offer on the remote with headphone usage and an outdoor camera. I called billing, they transferred me to product dept. I waited over a hour on the phone; then hung up. I called back billing, this time someone is going to tell me there is no one in product dept at 11:15am.

I contacted support around 5pm, they are a joke. Transferring me back and forth. It’s like the don’t know what to do. To make a purchase and have to go through this, I rather buy from Amazon. This company is a piece of ****.

I was trying to subscribe to a channel to watch the GREENBAY Packers and it said I could get it on Roku CBS so I started a subscription with them. I tried fora month to see the Packers on my IPad but, could not get it on CBS so I cancelled my subscription.

Now the second month it is still on my Discover Card. I went to my Roku account and found it has been taken off my account and can not get it but, they are still charging me for something that They won’t credit AND I can not watch it.

I noticed a lot of people are being charged for their and you will not credit my account,your people said to go to my bank and get the money, this is not right. Why can’t I CANCELL this account? Or get some credit back, this illegal, many have called the BBB over your policies.

This is a pure scam!

tried to sign into a account that doesn't exist. Tried both emails with forgotten password and never got any reply, why because I don't have an Roku account. Never the less my bank account has a pending charge for CBS on ROKU.

Even tried to activate it just to see and there no activation available.

One star is way to good a rating for this company. 00 for overnight shipping. They could not deliver overnight so I ask for my money back. They recieved the roku back and even signed for it, but refused to refund my money.

I have emailed them several times and tried to call them but they just send you to their email. We are on a fixed income and they dont mind stealing money from us. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE THIEVES!

Paramount plus and roku steal customers money and hold it for several weeks because they’re mad because folks opt out of contracts with horrible apps like paramount. Folks do yourself a favor. Do not use paramount plus. The app is garbage and weak.

It’s not as strong as Hulu and Netflix and other apps. The shows mess up and do t play right Many times. It’s time for paramount plus to go. They need to end their company ASAP to relieve customers of bad tv apps.

On September 17, 2021 I purchased the premium lifetime for a one time payment of $115.99. On September 7, 2022 I received an email stating my account had expired. When I called customer service I was told that I had purchased the basic package that had expired. I was told if I wanted the premium package it would be $299.99. I refused to pay it and now I’m unable to access my Xfinity streaming service. I would like my premium lifetime service restored.

For June & July 9 dollars have been taken out of my account, I do not have any app to be charged for, and each time you did that I was charge 35 dollars overdraft tolal in 70.00 dollars if my money is not put back in bank I will filing fraud charges. Again I don’t have any app on my T.V that’ I would have to PAY FOR so do what needs to be done so the bank can cancel the overdraft

I get have three accounts with you in two cities, none of them work!!! I cannot get a hold of anyone, I've tried 6 numbers and one I had to pay for just to give me the same numbers I already have.

We own an AirBB and customers are not happy. I'm ready to sue! All bills are paid, internet is the same as always. Tell me what is going on.

We have been Roku customers for years. For unknown reasons, the device won't work any further. We have troubleshot every other aspect of the system with zero issue. I tried - for over an hour - to simply figure out HOW to talk with a person to remedy the problem.

Or even find out there was no problem w Roku and I was mistaken. Never got anywhere except a constant loop. Utter ridiculous. I'm throwing this Roku in the garbage and stopping our service. This could have been properly and simply resolved. Oh well!

I will never use a Roku again.

Is this how you treat elderly in america. They charge me every month. I cancel every month. They use only overseas people who refuse to give you a supervisor and they are just stupid and uncooperative. I canceled a Starz subscription last month.

A screen pops up saying it has been canceled and flips across very quickly. i cancel it and the next month Roku bills me again. I cancel it again and a screen pops up very quickly saying its been canceled but again not long enough to print. Call customer service. dumb deaf and blind..

and mostly they do not speak english. they do not do what they are told. THEY REFUSE TO GIVE YOU A SUPERVISOR. 40 MINUTES OF ASKING FOR SUPERVISOR. girl had my account in front of her and asks a 63 year old with a broken arm and knee braces to read out the roku…

No way to get a human to assist. I have several TVs with ROKU but in my sports TV (75 inch) I could not get UTUBE today and missed the golf tournament. I wasted one and half hours trying to find a way to fix that one tv while all the others were working.

You cannot get a human being at ROKU or UTUBE except ROKU gladly will help if you want to buy something else. 1 star is too good for what they do. Makes Cable look great.

5 hours and no agents could resolve my issue. The last person I spoke with in the billing department was not educated well enough to handle my call. He kept reading from a script, fumbling over his words, repeating "hold on", and constantly saying "um".

He would not give me his name after I repeatedly asked him to spell it. He kept trying to change the subject. I asked to speak with his supervisor at least 7 times, and I'm not exaggerating. He refused to escalate my call.

He then said he was going to disconnect the call and I told him not to and he got snippy with me and hung up. He said Carlo was his name, but he was probably lying. I want Roku to review the call and reprimand whomever it was I spoke with, because his customer service was ridiculous and a POOR reflection on Roku.

Watched a film yesterday on Roku. At the climax scene at the end of the movie,, commercials came on and the pivotal scene was not shown. The next scene after the commercial break was confusing because of the missing scene.

I had to look up the movie online to find out what happened. How can I trust watching a film on Roku if scenes are not being shown due to commercials?

I have spent the last 10 days making daily phone calls to Roku “customer service “ trying to renew a subscription for oan. I attempt to pay for the subscription, it tells me that payment was successful, when I go to the channel it tells me again that I need to purchase a subscription.

I can delete any other apps on my Roku device but it tells me that delete is unsuccessful try again later so I cannot uninstall and re install the app. I have been hung up on repeatedly by Roku‘s tech support people after they tell me I don’t have a subscription to oan.

I purchased a remote via the website. The remote arrived on 10/25/21 and was defective as I installed fresh batteries and it was not fully functional. I called the Roku support team over a period of 2 days and spoke with several agents, one agent left me on hold for almost a period of 20 minutes as it appeared he was not fully knowledgeable. He also was limited in the English language which made the call even more frustrating. I finally reached 3 agents, all of whom assured me that I would be emailed a return shipping label with instructions on shipping the item back. I was also assured that once they receive the remote, I would be issued a refund.

Today is day 5 since the receipt of all the misinformation I have received from all of the agents, and I still have no return label or email…
