I, with my two adult kids, tried to walk in and get our flu vaccines today, at the Safeway on 29th in Spokane WA. Despite the signage outside the store that said "Walk-ins Welcome", the pharmacist said we had to make online appointments.

The pharmacists let me stand in front of them trying to book our appointments by QR code for 45 minutes - and though we succeeded at finding same day appointments - told me at the end of that 45 minutes that same day appointments weren't going to be honored. only after another 30 minutes had passed did her boss tell me no same day appointments would be accepted. I went to Safewa on Harrison Ave in Olympia WA on Friday Oct. 29th to purchase 5 $100 Safeway gift cards for our employees Thanksgivings. The cashier said I had to take them to customer service. She followed me up there and asked me what I was going to do with them and I told her it was none of her business.

She said she would not sell them to me. She then went to her manager who was checking out a customer and whispered something to him. She then took me to another register and began lecturing me on fraud. I was getting embarrassed.

I asked her if I went to my bank and got cash if I could come back and by Five more and she told me I couldn’t buy any more?? I feel you should not be selling Safeway gift cards if you have to embarrass your customers.

I am not ever going back to that store…

In July of 2020, I was interviewed at your Orting Location for the position of PIC. During the interview I informed them that I would be leaving the US in August for three weeks to finally visit my family after so long, due to the pandemic. I was offered the position and I told them what date I would be returning, so they could give me my start date. I onboarded with all my details and was good to go.

A few days after my interview at Safeway, I had an another interview with another company, who also, offered me a position. Now this other company had been in contact with me the entire time I was out of the country letting me know my start date and all the details. Which fortunately I accepted it, otherwise I would still be waiting.

I am a long time resident of Estes Park (since 1998), the president of a local 501(c)3 that does great work for the community, a long time small business owner, and thus, a long time customer of Safeway here. I am friends with many of the employees and, at the least, know many others by name. I had an encounter tonight with a manager that was surprisingly aggressive and belligerent.

At approximately 7 pm on Thursday, October 7th, I entered the store in Estes Park via the east doorway and saw a long line extending from self-service checkout over into the deli department. They did not give my daughter the correct amount of liquid amoxicillin, this has happened before, and they will not do anything about it. They said I have to get a new prescription from the doctor when it is there fault. Also now I am worried it was measured wrong and is too strong as well...That could potentially really hurt someone...measuring prescriptions wrong.

No masks on mulitple employees. I do not care if restrictions have been eased! Several people around me were horrified they had to deal with non masked cashier. One old lady was beside herself as she couldnt use self check out and the girl over seeing it had NO MASK.

Left my items on counter and left store. Disgusting. Will not return until this is fixed!!! Safeway Canada needs to set an example! Not impressed. 99% of customers wearing masks in the store.

I have had numerous negative encounters with the same employee, Sandra at the Portland 11th and Broadway location.. She has made my experience picking up western unions a nightmare.. I call before going into to the store now just to avoid this clerk.

She makes up her own laws ,and rules regarding picking up Western unions.. Today I almost had to go to another location because she was only going to give me one of two transfers sent to me. I honestly feel that if I was clean cut in a Polo,,instead of my long hair, and tattoos it wouldn't be an issue.

Yesterday I call to file a complaint with to the corporate office. 13 incl. tax. 99 plus tax. After I had called and spoke to someone by the name of Joe at the local store, all I got was argument so I called corporate to file a complaint.

Your person answering in corporate informed me that she spoke to Chantelle the bookkeeper, and that I would have a gift certificate for the trouble. I sent my caretaker Mike back to the store to get my accurate cash refund plus the gift certificate.

When Mike went to customer service, he was told Chantelle left and no one knew anything about as before via it. So he returned home once again. This morning, I spoke to Kobi allegedly a supervisor at the local Newport store.

I'd like to make a complaint about Safeway Brentwood (Balfour). I entered the store without a mask, completed my shopping and used the self checkout to purchase my groceries. I was paying for/bagging my items when I was yelled at by a cashier who was monitoring the self checkout.

She was three registers away from me, yelling for me to put my mask on. I told her I was done with my purchase and leaving the store. As I walked past the check stand she was working in. She pointed out the signs at the door and told me I was no longer permitted to shop there.

Extremely poor service at the Safeway deli on 5/28/2021 @4:30 pm in the Deli department. Location 1334 E Chandler. Phoenix. The worst service I have experienced! One of the females was too busy arranging sandwich meat to help a customer although she told me twice she would be right with me.

Then she went back twice to say she would get someone ( she could have taken care of me in a shorter amount of time) when the other person finally came out to help she helped someone else who came in after I did. 15 minutes later , the male worker ( who was the only one taking care of customers ) assisted me. Horrible!

I went to the Oak Harbor, WA. 98277 this last Wednesday and had a very hard time getting through the store! In front of the bananas were a line of Small shopping cards so I had to go around them.

Also, the isles on the produce section, were blocked so I couldn't get around very easy Why don't you stock the store at night???? We are in our mid 80's and it is hard to shop. Haggens are not that way!!

Also, the butcher block part is not usually ready to serve by 9:00AM. Why??? Thanks, HT

I was shopping in Tillamook Oregon at Safeway for about 45 minutes loading up my shopping cart. When I came up to the register I was refused service, btw, I carry a letter from my physician which explains why I cannot wear a mask but the manager on duty explained that she ' didn't care about my doctors note' her words.

They had no problem whatsoever allowing me to walk around the store but refused to take my money . I left and went a mile down the road to Fred Meyer, and have been shopping elsewhere ever since. 45 minutes wasted!

SMH I doubt I will ever visit Safeway again regardless of the community it is in.

I was at Safeway store #3274 on Friday, May 14,2021. I had a rain check for Fresh Express salad that was to expire after 90 days. It was issued in March and was expiring in May. I was told that the rain check was old and the new rain checks were only good for thirty days. Mr. Abdoulie spoke with Ms.

Jennifer Randolph and said I couldn't use my rain check at their store and would have to take it back to the store that issued it. I found that to be ridiculous. It was issued by a Safeway employee and nothing states that you have to use it where you got it.

I was overcharged and a discount I had received from your company was not applied to my purchase at checkout. When I approached checkout I had brought to the cashier named Aggie’s attention that I had 6 Nature Valley bars on promo for buy 2 get 4 free.

I had them separated and together specifically so it would help in ringing up. 00 purchase on my last purchase receipt good until 5/5/2021. I gave that to Aggie also at end of purchase which she said she applied. She also made a point to let me know that my promo went though on the Nature Valley Bars. 00 off my purchase.

Yesterday, as always I went to safrway in Citrus Heights to pick up a flower for my friend. It was 6:30 and after checking the flower department, I found basket, but I decided to ask for the white ribbon instead of yellow.

After being Refused Entry into this Safeway Store, I called the Store to talk with the Manager, after explaining what happened, I again asked for the Manager, a person speaking Poor English said he wasn't there, I asked for the Assistant Manager, No Response until she said this was done because of a Recommendation from It sounded like mdm, she then said she had their phone number, I asked if I could have it, a pause, then she said what.

We have all heard the ads from Safeway and Albertsons that Tuesday and Thursday they would be open at 7:00 am to 9:00 am for seniors (over 65) and those with compromised immune systems or have family members that are. My husband is now going through radiation and I need to protect him.

This morning I got up at 7am to go to the Lakewood Safeway believing they would have the shelves stocked and ready for the senior citizens to shop without the stress of empty shelves and being unduly exposed to coughing sneezing kids. Boy was I wrong!!!!

Very few loaves of any kind of bread, NO TP, limited canned goods and the list goes on. I did my shopping because I was there, paid at least 25% more than I would spend at Fred Meyer and left frustrated and really ticked off!

Am I typing to just get it "off-my-chest" or does someone really read these and then just LAUGH. 3 receipts over 4 days and every one has a mistake in pricing. The first 2 are from Diamond Heights with pricing problems STORE EXCUSE is there is a problem with the machines. That was the same problem a month ago. You would rather speed money on buying out the completions (Andronico's) than repair, or replace, the problems that you already have.

Today I stopped at the store on Monterey and it has the same problem. Rings up the wrong price for the milk. Now I have to return to the store to get it corrected.

Hello, I am very frustrated with my experience today. When I am offered a "freebie" for being a Safeway customer, i can never find the freebie item. Today i was looking all over for OPEN NATURE ROASTED SEAWEED, Aisle 17....NOT THERE! After circling around each aisle at least 3 times, i finally asked a Safeway staff so she pointed me to Aisles 3, 2 or 1 (not 17). I finally did see some seaweed in the Asian section but no OPEN NATURE brand.

I think the stores must hide the freebies. Why do they make it so difficult for us to find? Surely this is not an item I eat or buy but i wouldn't mind trying it "if i can find the damn thing!" Why don't they put it at the ends of the aisles so we can SEE THEM and not have to search the store?

Your new deli manager at store 1522 really needs to go back to manager school. I've gone to this store for 2 years for lunch. I've seen managers come and go and this one is the worst. The only thing she keeps saying we're sorry we are trying.

The hot cases never are full, you ask why, and it's always didn't order enough or she forgot to order it. She thinks it's ok to serve cold food example is jojo's always cold. There always out of mustard and mayo packets why goes back to ordering.

I think safeway needs to rethink her position. I started boycotting safeway all together I can go somewhere else.

The safeway on 30th and mission in San Francisco is extremely understaffed. It has the worst wait time in lines and no customer service. It's not the employees faults, it's just they dont have enough employees. Its irritating and frustrating because I live right across the street.

Arrived at safeway, Barbour Blvd, portland or. At approx 715 pm. Approached deli / food cases while employee was waiting on another customer. Stood there for several minutes. Just before approaching me employees turned off the case lights on hot foods.

When I asked to order I was told the hot foods were not available as they were closed. I t was about 723 pm . I spoke to the store manager on duty he informed me the employee would be"spoken to".

That is carp and that display amounted to the most rude and ignorant treatment I have ever been subjected to. My wife and I shop there and use your pharmacy extensively. Not any more. Zero stars.

On Monday I went to the Safeway located at 7605 Crain Hwy, Upper Marlboro, md (July 1st,2019) to order a birthday cake. After getting all my information for the order I was informed that the machine that makes the pictures for the cakes was down.

I was told to go to the Clinton ,Md or Oxon hill store. I live about two miles from this Safeway. Myself and my family shop at this store often. About the same time last year I was told the same thing about this machine.

Looks like it has never been repaired. I went to Giant in Upper Marlboro, Md to order the cake. My cell number is 301-367-8901.

While shopping at Safeway Hilo on the afternoon of June 13, 2019. While attempting to purchase items that I had a rain check for. Two employees working the self check out were rude about helping me with the raincheck items.

Offering no customer assistance in getting the coreect product. Shortly after an employee named Moani entered the conversation with the most rudest, agressive tone and demeanor. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life by a store employee.

I’m not sure if the current condition started with the consolidation with Albertsons or when the latest manager started at the Ukiah store, but customer service (specifically the number of checkers available at any given time) is very bad and getting worse. Most of the employees are excellent and the complaint concerns the lack of checkers available to serve the customer.

I have stood in line with no less than 6 other individuals the last 4 times I have shopped at the Ukiah store. There are at least 8 checkout lanes yet there are never more than 3 checkers available. What is the matter with you?

Went into our nearest Safeway today with my son to go grocery shopping and came back outside to find damage on my vehicle. We were parked pretty close to the entrance, and I've gone to this location a million times and have never had any issues, much less so any like this.

When I inquired within, the person behind the customer service counter said if there were video of the parking lot I'd have to obtain a police report. I'm livid. This happened at the 5060 N academy location. The manager was very much so not concerned with my issue once addressed.

To whom it may concern: I am still terribly upset by the rude conduct of Pharmacist Shannon Herman in the Antioch Osco! On April 17,2019, I had called in my prescription for Irbasartin, I always had gotten a 3 month supply.

Shannon Herman gets on the phone with me and starts berating me about how this drug has been recalled for the last 4 months! I had told this woman I had no idea this was the case as Osco never informed me or my doctor with this serious information.

My husband was with me when I Called up on a call a day prior that I needed more Diabetic Test Strips they they did not work consistantly. [Acu-check] I needed help. it was NOT their job! sHE ONLY SAID At the time there was one gentlement infront of us and we gave him ample room but yelling and rude we could still hear them.

He was upset about an order called in and not filled on time. My turn, my husband and I stepped up. and I explained what was wrong. There is a man everyone at the store knows as Michael. He stands in front of the entrance all day smoking, spitting, cussing and asking for money. I have complained to numerous employees many times, as have other customers. When he is asked to leave, he just keeps coming back.

He uses the money he gets for scratch cards and if he loses throws a fit. Today I came to my breaking point. He stood close behind me as I was getting scratch cards and was looking at how much I had put in.

He got irate and started cursing. He was way to close to me also. Please have this man not allowed on the premises to harass me and my children when all we want to do is shop.

I was aware of how courteous the cashier was with the customer ahead of me, thanking the customer at the end of their transaction. During my checkout I noticed the cashiers facial expression and attitude totally change. After giving me my change from my transaction, I thank her.

While walking away I remembered that she did not give me my monopoly tickets and turned back to her and said, "excuse me madam, you didn't give my monopoly tickets. In an agitated response, she replied, " we're all out!!!!!!

I then told her I was going to report her attitude to the store manager. She then handed me 8 ticktes!!!!!!!!!! I did speak to the store manager about the incident. He said he would take of it. I was upset leaving the store and felt as if I had come face to face with a " pit viper".

For the second time in a year the Safeway on Balfour in Brentwood CA has no crab on sale. Safeway ran an ad for 3 day sale of crab and when I went to the store to buy they had no crab and did not know if they would get any.

I talked to the asst. manager and was told it was subject to availability and they could not get it but the ad ran anyway. Now, here is the kicker-- The Livermore Safeway has plenty of sale crab so it is available.

This tells me there is something wrong in the Balfour Safeway as this is the second time this has happened. Someone is not ordering when ads run or does not know what they are doing. Availability is not the issue but running the seafood dept.

and management is the issue. Don't run ads that ALL your stores cannot fulfill and pass it off as availability. I…

I live in Lakeside, AZ and shop at the local Safeway store for grocery and pharmacy items. This store is very poorly managed. We have had higher than average snowfall and when we went to the store to pick up a prescription, the parking lot was not plowed and extremely dangerous. I confronted the manager Dave something, he had a lame excuse that because there were cars in the parking lot, nothing could be done. Really? He and some other employees could have been working snow shovels because the store wasn't very busy at all. He has NO compassion for the people that frequent that particular store. If they can't afford to address the parking lot, close them down until a new manager has a realistic plan.

I would appreciate an answer to this problem.

The personnel at the woodland Washington Safeway pharmacy are the rudest most unprofessional folks I have ever had to do business with. I feel they should have to answer to a supervisor or something, I really feel Safeway corporate should address some of the issues with their woodland Washington pharmacy employees, they can do a lot better job.

Yesterday around 5:00 pm I unloaded my groceries and returned the cart. There was a girl that was going to follow me to my house cause she had never been there before. I backed out of my parking spot and was still going backwards for 2 more car stalls and then I backed in a parking stall. With no car on either side for at least 3 stalls. A male employee that was collecting carts walks up to me and says that was a stupid thing to do! You don’t pull in a car stall backwards your lucky you didn’t hit anyone. He was pretty angry. I was surprised he said that since there was no one around where I was. The girl in the car right across from me witnessed the whole thing.
