On 6/27/22 I went to the Sephora store inside JCPenney at the Polaris Mall in Columbus, Ohio. The store was not open at the time it was supposed to. After waiting around for awhile, the store finally opened. I purchased the only waterproof mascara the store had (per the sales clerk). 02 including tax.
The mascara is terrible - dry and clumpy. For a grocery store brand mascara, I wouldn't bother, but since this cost $29, I wanted to return it. Again, the Sephora store inside JCPenney was not open at the time they are supposed to.

Sephora has the worst customer service and experience EVER. I lost a merchandise credit (card) but had the receipt with the card number. The customer service hotline told me to go to store and since I had the receipt, they would replace it.

First, no hello or can I help and she looked as though she hated her job by the expression on her face. This is the image your company is projecting to its customers. Negativity and very rude staff who are not happy to work for you or help their customers.
She did not even ask if I was a customer with an email account and instead asked me to scan the QR code and sign up. I asked for gift wrap and she processed the transaction without adding my points onto the system or checking if I was an existing customer.

Hello. I went to the Sephora at St. Clair square mall in Fairview Illinois. I was looking for makeup to take to Hawaii for my daughters beach wedding. The girl would hardly look up from her phone and literally wouldn’t recommend ANYTHING!

Sephora staff at the Northpark mall location couldn’t be less helpful. This group of retail “professionals” act more like loss prevention staff constantly stalking shoppers while they browse without offering any real advice or assistance. There was no greeting when I visited the store on 8/14/2021 but I was “followed” by no less than 4 different staff members.
The young male employee checking me out very hastily asked if I wanted to use any of my VIP points but clearly didn’t care to wait for an answer. Re: Sephora at North Star Mall in San Antonio Texas. I entered the store to shop and was told that I could not shop there unless I wore their mask.... now there were other shoppers with all types of mask on.
But because my was clear it was unacceptable. This mask covers my mouth and my nose. I have a medical condition my doctor prescribed this mask so that I could breath more freely. It’s works as well as all other masks.

Hello, I am appalled at what I am going through with Sephora. I made an order in March 29th for me and some other people because we all needed some things and did not want to wait in line because of Covid.
I certainly did not want to go, I take care of my elderly mother. About 2 hours later, my niece tells me to cancel the order because there was a rebate happening mid April 20% off for VIB. Great! With such a big order I would be able to save and so would the others.

I purchased your $65 sample - Sample your way to a Full Size- in May 2018 at JC Penny Store, Windsor Square, Charlotte, NC. I went back to pick out my $65 bottle and learned that I needed a certificate to redeem my bottle. I did not know there was a certificate for redemption as there was not a certificate in my box. I am a Sephora VIB client and regularly shop at the Kenwood Sephora in Cincinnati Ohio.
However recently my experience on two separate occasions was I had to ask for someone to assist after not being acknowledged for 15 minutes+ Granted the store was crowded but there were a lot of consultants standing around talking to each other. Perhaps because it was the holidays there was seasonal help who was not as trained.
Also, I had to do a return and was given a Sephora Credit on a white card which apparently can not be used for online orders. Very disappointing since I travel a lot as a Vice-President of a large corporation and don't always have time to visit a store.
I placed an order on August 3 (order number: 4800047679 total amount is $105.70) and didn’t receive the packed. I contacted customer services to report for the lost package, the representative offered the full refund for me but I told her that I really wanted some of the items in that order so I asked her to check the local store’s location for me. Before she doing that, she refunded the amount of $69.49.
