Synchrony Bank recently closed 3 of my accounts with them and this decision was completely unwarranted. I had two Guitar Center cards and one Levin Furniture card. I found out about this through a push notification with Credit Karma. I am more so concerned about the Levin account.

I called into customer service and the first representative I spoke with was extremely rude. He told me a letter was sent to me and he read the text of that letter. He eventually hung up on me. The reasons for my closure is completely bogus.

I understand I agreed to their terms and conditions upon opening the account, but that doesn't mean I can't dispute their decision. I called back in and spoke with a friendly rep who transferred me to a supervisor. The supervisor told me it is impossible to reinstate my…

I opened a HYS Account with SB in April 2023. I had problems from the beginning. My account was put on a restricted status for no reason. When I inquired about it, the customer service rep told me that they had no information and it would be unrestricted in 3-4 business days.

I called back for further explanation, but no one had an answer. I had a bad feeling and started transferring my money to another bank. Then it happened again, and again and again. No one could provide an answer or was willing to find an answer.

Turns out that after 2 weeks of a restricted status that it was determined to be a computer error and it was fixed within hours. Unfortunately, it happened again. This time I was told that there was nothing they could do about it and I would have to wait the normal 3-4…

On January of 2023 I have had nothing but problems with Sychony, I had been put on auto pay but for some reason the account numbers were not written correctly this was Sychony doing so I had my bank call and was taken off auto pay, I was still on the phone when synchony employee told employee from my bank pls tell your client to pay her bills on time.

I was informed by agents of Synchrony Bank to pay off a promotion account by 7/1/2023. I payed the account balance and was told the interest and late fees would be waived. However, upon doing so. 00 for late fees which, were supposed to have been waived.

I have been told different amounts by different agents and given false information regarding the corporate address and head contact person. I would like a call back regarding this issue, please.

For over a year now, my father and I have been calling Synchrony for an Amazon charge in a card that he doesn't have. 52. His Amazon account shows a different card number than the one they are charging him for.

After wasting an hour over the phone yesterday trying to resolve the problem, and another just right now, speaking with the person today was like the Abbott and Costello comedy routine only that it was not funny and was beyond irritating. The lady on the phone kept insisting my dad's current Amazon card is the one he doesn't have on his account.

In November 2021, I financed furniture through Synchrony bank (bank chosen by furniture store) with a 0% interest loan expiring in May 2023. I set up recurring payments every month. I unfortunately ignored monthly statements from Synchrony as I presumed it was just useless data.

I never received ANY emails or texts. My bank was apparently late on funding Synchrony several times and I unknowingly incurred late fees. After my final payment in April 2023, I kept on getting monthly statements, which I finally opened in June.

This showed $300 in late fees and $1100 in back interest to day 1 in 2021. I called immediately, escalated to an account manager and she denied waiving any fees, even though I dutifully paid every month and my financed loan was $0 by the time the promotion expired.

Re; Paypal credit account serviced by Synchrony Bank. A fraudulent order was placed in Walmart (not by me). 28 to my balance and now refuses to remove the disputed amount. Both entities fail to see the fraud and are forcing me to pay the disputed amount; since I did not order anything it is simply a fraudulent order.

All correspondence to both entities were substantiated with proofs. 28 for goods I did not order nor did I received. Further, no items left the vendor's stores so what I am paying for? This is simply ludicrous and very unprofessional, the worst customer service ever.

The furniture I received was damaged, consisting of three stools, as well as a full size bed that was missing parts. I tried numerous times to contact Living Spaces by telephone and email to make them aware of the damages.

Moreover, I requested instructions on how I could return these items to them, but none of my inquiries were answered. I filed a dispute with Synchrony Bank. On February 8th I made an order on Newegg for an item that apparently was out of stock and was not going to be restocked. As a result the order was voided. 45 charge on my Newegg CC and Synchrony CS told me it would be there for 69 days. This is unacceptable.

I have been able to get nowhere with Synchrony Financial customer service so I'll send a certified letter to their headquarters.

On February 8th I made an order on the Newegg site for an item that was out of stock and not going to be replenished so the order was voided. 45 charge on my Newegg CC and chat support at Synchrony Bank said it will remain for 69 days.

I haven't been able to get this resolved through chat support so I will send a certified letter to their main headquarters about this. 69 day hold is unacceptable.

They are actually stealing from me. Last summer a lady on the phone saw the duplicate charges, but her boss wouldn't even look to see or listen to me. I'm not going through the headache of all the paperwork again.

If they don't issue a refund, I will not continue to pay my bill. I am so tired of them, it's that simple. They need to look, figure it out, or I will not pay one more cent.

I have been a Synchrony credit holder for years and have several accounts with them, which have always been in good standing, never late, and are all under the 10% utilization, have an excellent credit score, and have a 6 figure income that can more than afford all of my credit lines.

However, I recently applied for the Verizon Credit Card through them because I switch back to Verizon and wanted to take advantage of the discounts, but to my surprise, I was denied. I received a letter in the mail stating that my reason for denial was due to having too many Synchrony accounts.

I called as instructed in the letter and asked to speak to underwriting so that I could be reconsidered, but after 2 hang-ups from customer service, 6 unsuccessful transfers from the acquisition team, and being on hold…

Someone used my information fraudulently as a co-signer or joint card holder whatever and when I found out 7months later and called synchrony they told me that I could have the primary card holder remove me. When the primary person tried to do that they told them no that the card had to be paid in full before that could happen. I’ve had many synchrony accounts/cards but after this I will no longer use them.

Ebay Card ending in 2381

The situtation I had a credit limit of 500.

On December 26th a return payed off most of my balance. The return credit posted on morning of the 29th.

I saw the available credit and I made a purchase at best buy for 369.24 And another 79.00

That afternoon ebay lowered my credit limit to 100. This is after I brought my balance up to almost the limit ($500)

So now they are reporting that I am over my limit by almost 300 dollars. This is their fault. They lowered my limit to a fifth of what it was after I had charged something because I had the available credit.

This is not right.

I will never use this card again, but the limit should be reported at 500 At least and they can lock new purchases.

This is affecting my credit.

A few months ago I was approved for a credit card through Synchrony Bank for an appliance purchase at Lowe's. Despite the fact that the interest rate and account fees are nearly criminal, I care about my credit and wanted to make sure my payments were on time every month. Not only did I schedule out several payments, but I doubled the amount of payments I put in.

The problem...there seems to be some sort of server communication with scheduled payment pulls. Not once, but twice I had scheduled payments arbitrarily fail claiming that I had insufficient funds. So I panicked both times, checked my account....the money is there. There's no declined attempted payments, everything is good, and chime says nothing appears to have been attempted.

I have a Guitar Center Credit Card through Synchrony Bank. I have never missed a payment as matter fact I pay more than minimum. I received an email stating that my credit was being decreased. It was due to me having to buy a car.

I do have to have a vehicle to go back and forth to work to pay my bills. Their customer service center is a complete joke.

I received a letter in August of 2022 from Synchrony Bank that they didn’t feel that I could pay on 3 separate credit cards so they were canceling those 3 cards. I figured ok, fine, don’t like Synchrony Bank…. I did not get a bill for these 3 cards and so I cut up the cards at that time.

After 3 months they were threatening me regarding paying these cards. I let them know that if they took off the late charges for that 3 months I would pay them off. I was paying on time anyway. I never heard anything from them til January 6, 2023.

The letter was dated 12/28/2022 saying to contact them by 1/1/2023, remind you I got the letter 1/6/2023. A little hard to pay if no bills and given 3 days later to pay, receiving the bill to pay 5 days after their request.

Recently my TJMaxx Visa card account was closed. I called to find out why and I was told that they had been trying to send mail to my address and it has been returning back to the sender. They verified my current address with the address that they have on file.

The address that I gave them over the phone was the exact same address that they have on file. I informed them that I didn't understand why I wasn't receiving mail from them because I was not having any problems receiving mail from anyone else.

I have been a customer sense 2020 never have I been late or maxed my credit limit out on my Sams Club credit card. 00 available credit. I had a Lowe’s card and they did the same thing about 4 months ago so I closed my account.

This the most ridiculous thing I ever heard I will eventually close this account also and my wife has one too we will also close you guys are the only ones who does this and I am very disappointed in synchrony Bank and will end up closing all my account’s and my wife’s accounts.

Between myself and my wife we have about 10,000 dollars credit with your bank. So just to let you know you will be loosing good customers who has never been late on any payments. I could understand you dropping the credit limit if I was late or keep it maxed out.

Continuously “runs” my credit and if they don’t like your credit they reduce how much you were previously approved for. Not for late for payments or anything negative, just reduces your amount. Which of course maxes out my credit and makes your look worse. Horrible customer service.

Today is 12/05/22 and I spoke with a manager that told me that the check has not been sent and I will have to wait 2-3 weeks before I receive it. UNACCEPTABLE.......

I am so disappointed, I spoke with several agents and at least 3 managers that just tell me anything to get me off the phone with no results. I am going to pay off and close all my accounts with them.

Customer service sucks and give misinformed information. I would never recommend Synchrony and I wish I was able to speak with corporate.

I was unable to access my accounts on synchrony, I was able to log in ok, but was met with a new terms and conditions dialog which I had to click to access my account, then I was met with another message box: We Apologize We are currently experiencing technical difficulties and are unable to access your account. Please try again later, or contact customer service for assistance.

Note there is no number mentioned which I can call or email I can use. On the Contact page, I just go around in circles, there is phone number I can call and sending a message requires logging into the account. Obviously no body has tested this web site for useability, it seems to have been deliberately designed to prevent customers from contacting Synchrony for help. My account for Lowes was hijacked back in November 2021. I reported the fraud and the last purchase I made also last statement balance you kept sending different new cards and never received them. My mail was somehow forwarded to unknown location and they changed the phone number on account.

I was told by a Walgreens employee I could sign up for discount program. 33 charge. I NEVER wanted it. I never activated it & cut it up. When I was finally able to get through to the Fraud department, they said they deactivated it.

Later I get an email the charge was still on it. I want in writing the bogus charge is dropped! I tried to attach the documentation, but it says it's too large.

Synchrony Bank is Horrible and stinks. My account was hacked in April 2022 and conducted the wire transfer for a large amount. I reported on April 15 th and it took about six months for resolution. It resolved because I wrote to the CEO of the Synchrony Bank.

Now I am trying to close the account and it has been very hard. I telephoned to day and it is almost 25 minutes and he is waiting for a Manager as why this is happening. I got an email on October 4th stating that my account is active and today he is telling me that there is a restriction.

Please do not do any business with Sychony.

I was contacted by the Fraud Department to verify or deny three transactions. I had questions about two of them. But after several attempts, I was only able to deal with your automated response system. I could not reach a customer service representative.

I booked a flight via booking company and paid with PayPal credit. The flight was canceled first and then it was changed, I tried to get a refund after the flight was canceled. The booking company ignored my request. Then I tried to dispute the transaction via PayPal credit, they didn’t help.

My account was closed. I accepted that. Therefore I cut the card up and don’t have a bill. So I’m sending my payments through my bank before the due date. Now I’m getting emails that I’m behind. I mailed my payment on august 1 and it was received by the company on august 8.

My bill due date is august 12. So how am I late. They claimed they will mail me a letter that will include my account. I never received it. Since I no longer have the card, I can’t pay online as I need the 3 digit code on the back of the card.

this bank is scam. I have TJX rewards card. I made some purchases in April and was late on payment since I did not get my card in time. They accessed late payment fees. I called them and requested waiver which on phone they did. Next month I received statement with last month fees + interest and another late fees. I called them again in May. explained them and they did waive off (again) on phone.

June , July, August - They did same. representative just removes 1 fee and keeps interest like $2 on statement and they start accessing fees on that. Talking to supervisor doesnt help. everytime its a scam. they dont send email confirmation, they dont send any comm and they dont have any email where I can file complaint.

Everytime new person comes and I spend 30 mins with no result.

Hello, I simply went to pay on my bill from my statement using the number listed on the statement. It immediately went to a 3rd party sales operation trying to sell all of your customers some kind of medical device.

I listened politely as the very aggressive sales person rattled off non stop non pause information. I finally got a word in and politely said no I am not interested at this time please put me back to the bank.

I would like to file a complaint about Synchrony Financial regarding my credit cards I had with this company. I had opened 3 different Credit Cards with this Company 1 year ago, one was Dicks Sporting goods, TJ max/Marshalls, and third was Ann Taylors.

Every time I use these credit cards I pay off the complete balance the following month. I went to use these cards 6-7 months later and may purchases were declined.
