I booked a flight Thur 3rd party and had to cancel my daughter and grandson because of his being blind and had to see specialist. I tried to use tickets July 13,2023 and after being given 4 different prices to use tickets I was told that my grandson ticket couldn't be used cause his birthday had been changed to 04/02/1953 crazy!

His birthday is 04/02/2016 7 years old and I didn't do it but was blamed for by United customer service employe . I need that changed back and stop making excuses that I can't used my tickets and keep changing the prices for buy out of my tickets! com thanks

After hours and hours waiting on chat, Text, phone, and video services a got a United Representative. Becky was able to rebook my flight for earlier in the day. A small win considering United delayed my 6/28 flight and then cancelled it on 6/28 due to employee shortages.

THREE days after the original flight. Becky at least got me on a flight on Saturday and in GEG by 12:00 PM. But, United will not allow customers to start a complaint, refund request, reimbursement request, etc. Until 24 hours AFTER the flight has flown.

you delayed my flight by 3 days. Im missing wages, losing money on hotels/cars. But, you can't offer me anything to ease the pain because of your mistake? Instead I have to sit in a airport for 3 days and pay out of pocket while I wait for my rescheduled flight.

United flight 1569 on 6/12 out of Houston. Five flight delays, four gate changes, not to mention previous day we missed our flight by 1 minute when the first flight was delayed by weather. United did not hold flight despite knowing there were people with a connection on board.

Did not get a hotel voucher, only a meal voucher good for about a bagels worth of food. Highly unprofessional customer service people, and their "chat with an agent" customer service line sucks sweaty balls. Would definitely NOT fly United again. Delta for life.

I travel today 04/08/23 on United airlines flight 2317 and your check in agent was the rudest I come across in a long time. I didn't get her name however she is of Indian origin. The way she talked to people with all this attitude it was over bearing.

I travel with United all the time and it's the first I have ever seen this. I am very disappointed.

This is complain about your agent cancelling our tickets and not informing us on phone or via email.

Details: I have purchased 3 adults and 1 child multi city international ticket on 11/29/22 with confirmation number O1G69C. I noticed price drop for the same itinerary and called customer service in December end asking for refund of price difference. The agent asked us to fill up the refund request form and we did. United #TL432643 On Saturday 2/25/23 I was on flight UA1120 for a sister’s trip to Costa Rica, which we have been doing every February since 2008. We were in the emergency exit rows with 2 people in one row with the other 3 behind them.

Due to balancing of the plane the 2 sisters had to move to the back of the plane. Unfortunately, one of my sisters that always went on the girl’s trip passed away from glioblastoma last summer, this was one of our first girl’s trip without her.

Having part of our group have to move was very disappointing to say the least. Our return flight on 3/4/23 UA3922 left the terminal & we sat on the runway for over 90 minutes before they returned to the terminal due to a computer malfunction.

My wife and I were scheduled on the 6:07 AM flight UA 3609 with connection from Newark to Fort Lauderdale on UA1174 fro, 9:59 AM with arrival at 1:04 PM. Our UA 3609 was delayed for over 7 hours on 5 different occasions.

We managed to get a 5:20 PM flight on AC 696. According to the Canadian Air Passenger Protection Regulations if the flight is delayed by more than at least 2 hours I am entitled to compensation. Could you please indicate to me what is United next steps in my case.

Needless to say this substantial delay created considerable additional complications and expenses.

I realized at the Newark Airport while attempting to check in that my ticket to indianapolis on Feb 26 @ 2.05pm has been changed to Monday 27 @ 2.05pm without my consent or any agreement by one of your official at the airport. I was made to suffer emotional trauma and got crying when the customer service official told me that I changed it by myself and she is going to call the corps on me for crying and speaking the truth.

I need an answer and explanation about who changed my ticket and why did they change my ticket because the aircraft scheduled for 2.05pm actually traveled to indianapolis as scheduled but I got switched for someone else.

flying united for the first time i observed how military personnel were never recognized at the boarding gate. At five gates i walked to that were boarding no military personnel were asked to board now. All five boarding's were handled by different cultures.

When my boarding took place military personnel were given the choice of boarding now. these were handled by Caucasian American personnel. my latest boarding on February 7th at Chicago Ohara field several military personnel were awaiting boarding. One was a service dog with his handler.

Sold ticket before Covid restrictions that they would not refund in 2019. Kept it as travel credit. Bought new ticket with this credit for travel last year. It was a gruelling three airport layover trip that costed the credit plus about 150 usd additional. Going there was okay.

Then a week before traveling back, they told me flight was canceled and need rebooking. They had me on a flight that was longer by 10 hours with layover in an airport for almost 10 hours! I said I cannot have that because I have work next day.

So they placed me on the shorter flight but I have to pay 1100 usd extra! I had no choice but to take the flight. The attendant over the phone suggested I file a complaint. I did then and it's been about eight months they didn't even bother to get back to me.

A very unusual airline experience. M. Good stuff: made it safely, (the main tjong, which I totally appreciate) great pilot crew friendly but stressed flight attendants; 1) UA ticket agent at LAX did not know how to add a child and would not ask for help from his increasingly concerned co-employees.

Wasted 35 minutes, they held the plane, we had to run with a child and all of his periphenalia, then thread our way through the loaded plane to seats 45C&45D. never got any. 2) very slim seats, my daughter paid $500 extra for her 20 month child to sit on her lap but had to guard his head or feet when the flight attendants sped through the aisles serving drinks or meals.

The seats aren't actually wide enough to safely hold a child on a parent's lap. 3)UA left my luggage in LAX.

Good Morning this morning I was helped by agent RON VA9336, so he told me when asked but I am sure more details about the agent on the CRM. Not only the language knowledge of the agent was limited but during all call he was very arrogant and repetitive.

Very often he was requesting the same information on and on just to make a point. I hope that the call was recorded so that you can have an idea of my frustration. I am a very experienced traveller and often very patient but this person should not be in the business of helping people on client services.

When I and my Husband flew United had our seats separated even when we had one booking together for more money to get out of us to have the seats together . Just coz we had a small bag with wheels , wheels being the issue charged us 60 bucks at the gate .

The attendant started demanding my credit card not even explaining how much and what she need my card for ! Humiliated us in front of others saying RESTRICTED seats when we paid 200 for the seats ! We felt so ashamed and humiliated by them coz our seats were economy class and restricted .

I have been trying to be reimbursed for flight since august 2022. I have received poor customer service via phone and email with no resolution and the inability to speak to a human being. I am at my wits end as I was just in the phone for an hour and a half and told oh well we can’t help you you have to email the group again!!!!!

My daughter was 16 flying as adult. The canceled all flights in NJ airport due to lack of staff. My daughter was stuck in NJ with no help. They told her to get in line which the line did not move at 2am in the morning in order to receive a voucher.

They were not fooling anyone. They did not have the intention of giving a voucher. I had to find a hotel that would allow her to stay as a miner. Then the next day they canceled more flights. I want a refund for the air fair and poor service.

I also want a refund for the out of pocket expenses for hotel and uber. I contacted the airport police and they were of no help also. I will never book with united again.

I purchased my kids flights directly on United app for them to travel on official military orders. Once at the airport they were told they could not fly at all because my son is 10 and my daughter 16. Now, they refuse to give me a refund for a mistake on their end.

Baggage agent at IAD was argumentative and escalated the delayed baggage situation. I requested a supervisor to which the agent ignored the risk, asked me to stand aside, and continued serving other passengers. She never informed the supervisor I was waiting and escalated the frustration, greatly.

Her lack of customer care was troubling - while I understand the challenge of dealing with lost bags, the agent made the matter worse by placing me in “time out” without allowing me to speak to the manager. She is not the type of employee I hope would be in that sort of role.

As a 1k flyer, this has me considering my flight options to avoid ever dealing with Inoted in the future

Because of sheer helplessness and belief that most likely trying to book my ticket for the third time with #united will result again in not having our tickets I am writing to at least express my frustration in hopes of at least feeling a bit better. I bought a ticket two weeks ago, after spending about an hour booking the flight partially using the miles.

We were issued confirmation and an email what looked like a standard ticket but I only realized that it was not booked when I noticed on my bank statement that the money was not charged. I never received any email notifying us that the payment didn't go through or that we should call the airline.

Flight 2010 was supposed to leave Chicago O'Hare at 9:31pm. They were delayed more than an hour waiting for passengers on connecting flights. The wait got longer and longer. There are 30 middle school students and their chaperones tring to get home.

The kids a exhausted and upset, and United is not communicating as they should. It would be very much appreciated if you actually took care of your customers. I have never witnessed anything so completely pathetic. The actions of your airline tonight completely explain your horrible ratings.

I would hope that in the future you do a better job assessing the situation and taking care of the customers that are actually in the airport, and on time for their flight.

My husband and I have identical backpacks which vary only in color, and which were equally filled. These backpacks were approved as carry-on items for our Delta flight to NYC LaGuardia without incident. We purchased nothing in NYC. On our return, I tested the size of both backpacks in the airline size checker before getting our United tickets. Both backpacks fit in the size checker as “carry on” luggage.

The gate attendant approved my (caucasian) backpack as carry on, but insisted my (Asian) husband must check his same-sized identical backpack and pay a $35 baggage fee. She refused to let him carry on the carry on size luggage. She refused let him board without paying.

I contested the charge with my credit card. United claims the charge still stands since the (unneeded) service was used.…

I booked flights from Cody to Boston scheduled on May 28 2022. I had confirmation from Expedia (attached files). On the flight date, I was surprised not to have SMS from United Airlines. I checked using the United airlines application and found that my flights are scheduled for May 30.

I had to make urgent calls to UNITED to fix the problem. UNITED could not make me use the original flight. one of the flights was changed. That cost me an additional $805. Later on, I found that Expedia Finned me about $650 for canceling the flight on that date.

I want to know what went wrong and to get back all my unjustified expenses.

Horrible customer service, no response to emails on ETC issued two years back, as they are expiring now.

I did favor to them by opting for ETC instead of refund when Government Of India has clear directives for 100% refunds, looks like I made a mistake.

Their tickets are no more competitive, service is horrible.

I am the widow of a long time (over 30 years) UAL/Continental Sr. Captain. He lost his job when his superiors fired all the Captains getting ready to retire. They confiscated our retirement money and left us with only our travel benefits. The corporation destroyed our retirement plans, and we had to start over again to make ends meet.

They left us with travel benefits for which I was grateful; however, I have no longer been able to access these benefits for the past three years.

I have tried during this time to contact United Corporate headquarters only to receive no response from at least 100 phone calls and 35 emails. Most phone numbers I have tried are not in service!

I need help with this from somewhere!

On flight to Chicago from green bay, i paid for extra leg room. I feel i did not get it. although i was sitting in seat 8D, my legs were not be able to stretch out. I have restless leg syndrome, and i had to stand up and constantly move my legs.

On flight from Punta Cana to Chicago on April 13, pilot notified us that a sensor was not working properly, We sat in HOT plane with NO air for 2 hours. I have COPD and my sister has severe asthma, which she was on plane with me, we started panicking as we could not breathe very well.

They must of known the sensor was not working before leaving gate. I feel UNITED could of handled things better than what they did. I was very worried about my sister because of her health problems while on HOT plane.

Flight delayed all day because a crew member didn’t have their own luggage.

Finally get on the flight, leave gat and are on the way to the runway when we are told that the flight has been canceled because the crew tapped out. Take 5 hours to get rebooked and then was told that my bags will not be retrieved that night because they are short staffed.

When I come back to retire my bags for my new flight, im told they are “probably” at your final destination and if they aren’t file a complaint. When I get to my final destination they baggage service tells me they are still in Newark.

Biden administration says that if you are vaccinated and have a letter from your Dr that you cannot wear a mask you could fly without it. I get shortness of breath when I put the mask as I have very strong Allergy.

I was explaining to one of those hostesses my situation and she jumped’ on me in degrading manner and I am a travel agent. I do not know what she wrote in the computer without my knowledge which is illegal.

I never had any mask on and I am very healthy thank God without my Allergy. United should teach manners to some hostesses like her and respect people on the flights so they come back. There is exception to every case.

I approached the United Airlines check-in desk where an asian man, in his mid 40’s stood before me. Per the travel center Ghana where I was traveling required a 3-day PCR test 3 days before departure. We took the test on Monday at 11:00 because I was concerned about the turn around for the results. Today on Wednesday we called th testing lab to inquire about the results because we need to be at the airport tomorrow at 11:00.

They sent them, I uploaded them to find out that we took the test 3 hours to early because the 72 hour clock Starts from the time we take the test to the time the plane leaves. Why didn’t the travel portal say that?.....

Now we can’t fly out and have to oh a $500 difference to change our flight . My husband is a retired veteran we don’t have extra money to just throw around. Update the content on your site for clarity .

I would like to file a complaint. I had a flight scheduled for Sunday 3/24/21. I booked my flight with my in cabin pet (paid $250 rt which wasn’t easy). I tried to check in the night before via United app.

Couldn’t do so, was informed had to check in inside at desk. Such a nightmare to accomplish that. I was treated horribly, I’ve never experienced total chaos, lack of assistance and total abuse by the United staff. I was never informed that rabies vaccination certificate was needed!

I’ve flown with my pet numerous times on United, however not in recent years.

I have several complaints. 1st- when making reservations I was told the price and flight info. After 24 hours and not receiving any email I had to call several times to get my flight confirmed. At that time I was told price was a lot higher then the original price I had booked.

2nd- I was told I could have a carry on and when I arrived I was charged $30 for luggage including return flight another $30 3rd- On the return trip back from San Juan PR to Newark airport I was sitting next to an annoying gentleman. He did not care how much room he took by extending his legs out and not leaving much room for others.

On 02/08/19 I bought two tickets Calgary-Chicago, on UA 2240, departure at 8:30am arriving Chicago 12:49pm. We got up at 5am, left the hotel on a taxi (paid $40 instead of using a free hotel shuttle, not available at that time), came to the airport and found out that our departure was rescheduled for 12:47pm!

The first notice of change I received in Chicago at 5:17pm!!! UNITED NEVER followed up on the departure time, even when we checked-in. We spent 6 hours at the airport at Calgary, had to purchase food, were totally exhausted, had to cancel all our plans for an early arrival in Chicago.

UNITED killed our 10 great days of vacation. It's very disappointing to have UNITED as our home airline! it sucks.

ON AUGUST 20TH I WAS ON FLIGHT UA5972, CONFIRMATION NO N6ZBMP FROM RENO TO LAX. A VERY LARGE AND OVERWEIGHT MAN CAME AND SAT DOWN NEXT TO ME TAKING UP ALL OF HIS CHAIR AND MOST OF MINE. I AM 6'2 AND 265 POUNDS, THE SEATING WAS HORRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE SO I ASK A STEWARDESS IF I COULD CHANGE SEATS BC THE PLANE WAS NOT SOLD OUT AND THERE WERE PLENTY OF OTHER SEATS AVAILABLE; SHE TOLD ME NO I HAD TO STAY WHERE I WAS BC IF I MOVED IT WOULD UNBALANCE THE PLANE ????

HOW CRAZY IS THAT ?? IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE WORST FLIGHT I HAVE EVER BEEN ON AND I HAVE FLOWN WITH UNITED MANY TIMES IN THE PAST. ISNT THERE A RULE ABOUT SEATING OBESE PEOPLE HAVING TO BUY 2 SEATS WHEN THEY FLY ?

THE SERVICE FROM THE STEWARDESSES WAS NOT UP TO PAR EITHER; THEY NEED MORE TRAINING OR MAYBE THEY JUST REALLY DONT CARE…

Boarded flight - sat for a least 30 min - back to gate - ended up getting off plane because of mechanical issue. left that line not sure I accomplished anything- few minutes later we were told to board again, problem fixed - 45 min later we were told to get off again - back in a very long line to rebook this time and

announcement that there were no more United flights out that day so we would be booked on other airlines - 2 hrs…

On July 8th, 2019 at 4:10pm at the (RNO) Reno airport on flight 1571 I proceeded to board the plane and the United agent was very rude and yelled at me that I could not board the plane with a small bag and my purse.. I was charged $65 to check my bag in.. $25 for handling fee..

My friend whom had two bags was not charged to check bag or was anyone else on the plane that boarded with two bags.. On July 3rd I flew out of XNA with these same two bags and never charged..

I was unaware of this issue or I would of checked my bag in for $40 and avoided a $25 fee.. I felt singled out and no explanation of why I was the only one being charged and no one else..

I'm a disabled vet and called United about appropriate accommodations for my flight. I contacted customer service for questions regarding my upcoming flight and first waited over 1 hour and 30 mins to speak to an agent then once I spoke to an agent I was placed in hold for an additional 30 mins only for her to hang up on me without answering a single question. Very unprofessional for an airline I've utilized many years.

My daughter (Zoe Elzey15) and I (Kathy Counts) had our flight 934 on 6/22 from Newark Airport to Heathrow Airport delayed 12 hours. 5 hours away from the airport and we only has 5 days in London available to us on this trip.

I am a senior citizen and we were forced to sleep in the airport after standing in a line for over an hour only to be told there were no more hotel rooms available for the night. We understand that this was a safety issue and are grateful you make safety a priority.

However, the United Airline staff were very unsympathetic in their comments and attitudes and could have been much more helpful. They could at least given us a toothbrush and wash cloth or a better place to sit. There was a nice lounge available to the United Airline Staff, but not to us.

Planned 30th wedding anniversary with a Viking River cruise and business class airfare. The Viking cruises are so popular they must be booked over a year out, plenty of time for price checking airfare. Based in Houston, decided to fly United to Amsterdam.

Belted in and they announced entertainment system down. Crap. Bad enough for our first class four hour Las Vegas to IAH return at Thanksgiving but now 10 hours overseas. Thought we would settle in and hopefully lay dow and sleep in for overnight flight but NO, my expensive, highly touted Polaris flat bed seat would NOT work.

Oscar, the first cabin attendant tried mightily to crank the seat hut could only get the leg rest up. for 10 hours. United C/S offer was a measly $300. Seriously? A one way business class fare was way over that…

My experience with United airlines was excellent until we get to the Dulles Int airport to the claim baggage, it was nor send to the right destination. I called the backtrack phono number and called also the phone number you gave us but to my surprise, your baggage resolution staff have not located our bags, no one has made any effort to contact us or send us an e-mail with the progress of the luggage search.

the two flight before us were to Chicago, St Francisco, Cincinnati has your staff checked those airports? please help us located our bags we went to St Louis to a wedding and we took the best outfits for this special event. Thank you very much.
