I refer to the attached letter regarding an overdue account. I was retrenched in 2018 March and I had a contract with vodacom. Since account was blocked I discarded my sim card. 00) and I never used the number again.

I was surprised to learn that I now owe R2900 of services I never used. I was told the account was reinstated automatically after being paid up and to my surprise, I never received any notification nor any invoice or statement, like I previously used to.

How was I to know that the account was reinstatement if vodacom did not send me any invoice? I am not going to pay for NON-SERVICE.

Very very disappointed in the service I have received. I get different stories from each department however they all work for the same company. I've been calling back and forth between departments and on several occasions agents just drop the line.

I have still not been able to resolve my issue and it is one that is affecting my credit score and should have been resolved over a year ago. Last series of calls I made was today.

Vodacom the most unprofessional company. Have been trying to sort out a problem for the past 12 years. Vodacom consultants ignore you when they cannot solve the problem. Trying to transfer my cell phone for the past 15 years, which is in my husband's, into name to my name.

Have spent hours at Vodacom different branches and Midrand.

Also spent hours at my bank getting all the information that vodacom requires to no avail. I will not expect anything from Vodacom, as reading information on websites re Vodacom, it seems that thousands of complaints do not get dealt with. Just ignored.

They advertise themselves as a "First class company" , if that is the case would dislike knowing what a "worse class company" is.

I came into Vodaworld to cancell 3 contracts I no longer use and upgraded 1. I changed my email address to receive my billing.. they said there is a system error but the contracts will be cancelled. To-date the contracts are not cancelled and I am also not receiving my bills via the changed email.

I called today and they said they cannot help me as my contract is on the old system. I need to email my requests. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told. They are working from home. Is this the kind of service I can expect from Vodacom.???. This is disgusting.

The numbers on Google no longer work. This is disappointing and am sorry I rely on Vodacom for my calls. Suppose I will not get feedback as everyone is working from home!!!!

I logged a call on the 22 September due to my WiFi not working. Since then, it has now been 3 days and my Wifi is still not working. Nobody has resolved anything. This is a business account which I use to run my business from home.

Due to the WIFi not working I am loosing revenue and it is impacting financially on my business. I have called the customer service line repeatedly, I get transferred to different people who promise that it is being looked into and will be resolved, 3 days later, empty promises and still my WIFi is not working. This is disgustingly unacceptable.

I am going to escalate this lack of service to the highest level if not resolved immediately.

Hi I took out a contact with vodacom threw rewards co it was a data sim package with a modem router i then returned it the next day which ram couriers picked up because had a better deal at the end of the month vodacom debt my account up till now they saying I'm owning them for something that was returned and because I'm not paying they is a x on my name and now I can't get another contract because of vodacoms poor service and skills very disappointed with vodacom

Called Vodacom Customer Care and spoke to a very RUDE consultant named Nonhlanhla Kgamane. I called because my airtime suddenly disappeared and I checked my settings and I had already selected the out of bundle limit to be R0 so that it doesn't use my airtime.

From beginning of February this year, there was an agreement made with me to pay towards my account which was n arrears, I was given an amount specified by them to pay over 6 months till end July. I have been making steady payments of slightly more each month then the amount stipulated.

End of June after making 5 payments, I was informed that I am now owing them on further chargers incurred for supposed airtime & data given to me but only charged end of Feb of which I was never informed about. I cancelled my contract on 8 May 2020 but still had to pay for the next month i was not aware of. i was contacted i told i must pay and told them i did. I then pay again R379.99 on 11 March 2021 and thought all was settled and ask Vodacom not to do anything because nobody told me that i had to pay for the next month after many phone calls. Arrears Paid. But the system keeps on automatically locking me out. Phoned bus customer care, they see the lock on my phn. They unlock it. And after a few hrs the system locks it again.... This is flipping inconvient and absolutely frustrating of the service of Vodacom.

On the 3/09 I was contacted by Vodacom regarding the upgrade of two of my devices, I were praise regarding my account with Vodacom on paying on time and been a loyal client for so many years and now they want to reward me by giving me the best deals, I agreed to the deals and were promise that it would be delivered in 72 hours, the data deal were delivered as promise but

the cell phone upgrade were not I had to phone in asking what is going on just to be tolled that the device I were upgraded were discontinued, no one even came back to me regarding the discontinued device, since then no one had bother to phone me or advising me on the device I was promise, is this how Vodacom is rewarding client that have been so long with them?

Good day. My name is John Kearney. I had an account at Vodacom some years ago. Due to misunderstanding on both sides, was i blacklisted. I have recently contacted Vodacom after i found out that my name is blacklisted at the Credit Bureau.

According to the person i had contact with, the account is paid up and non existing at this stage. The person told me that they will be sending me a letter stating this information, and i can just forward this information to the Bureau and they will clear my name.

I am still waiting and know that i will never see such a letter. I feel that Vodacom should deal directly with the Credit Bureau, as they know how such things work. I hope that you can assist with this matter, because i am getting old and want to clear my name, as to not leave any surprises to…

I have been dbl debited since 2018 and picked it up early this year and I have been going back and forth with vodacom since there has been a lady Lindiwe who was from customer care that went over and beyond however the departments to credit and void amounts owing have been very neglectful and can't seem to get anything right. It is so frustrating and vodacom has now used my less than owed credit I had and apparently paid what I owed them.

I've had an issue with Vodacoms LTE network for the past three months. I explained to them that my public IP assigned to me kept changing every 10 minutes, between 9am-11am, and 6pm-1am. This has been affecting me since 10th June. Its not an issue with my equipment, its an issue with Vodacoms network, or a third party network they contract for the last mile, as the issue persists just outside of my network.

Eventually logged a call in July 9th 2021 with them, and now I followed up for a third time again on 9th September 2021, 3 Months after I logged the call and have still not received any feedback. Ask them for any kind of response on the issue. Their customer agent, a Mr Makabongwe Poni, responded with this....

Dear Ombudsman My wife and I had Vodacom simcards on the same contract (dual contract). The two numbers being 0761388009 and 0822223308. We relocated to the UK on the 2 nd October 2020. Prior to leaving South Africa I checked on the Vodacom web page how to cancel our account.

The advice was to call the number 082 135 before we left for London This was done at 17:46 on 02 Oct 2020 (phone call still logged on my South African phone as proof). On arrival in the UK we both purchased UK simcards and installed them in new UK phones.

I have been calling Vodacom to request assistance. My wifi has been down since Saturday morning, I logged a request but 5 days later still no positive feedback. Vodacom is quick to invoice and collection of money but drag their feet when it comes to assisting clients.

Empty promises that affects a community The Paradise Beach community has been struggling for more than a year with network issues. Numerous efforts were launched by the community to have the issue resolved. A WhatsApp group of 25 people submitted all their complaints via email and a hard copy.

They were told that Vodacom needed a list of at least 5 individuals with the same problem to submit a fault report. They were given 25. A hard copy of the email was given to the manager at the Vodacom store at Fountains Mall.

She said that there is no use to send the document to Customer Care, as it will only disappear in a back office. She also said that they were aware of the network issues in the Paradise Beach and Aston Bay areas.

Vodacom Official called me sometime before the 20th August marketing an Upgrade offer to me. I agreed with her that I wanted an offer. On the 19th, I received a router, but later on following the receipt of the Router I got a better offer from the Competitor I called Vodacom on the 23rd August to Cancell my contract and to come an fetch the Router.

They never came, and I made a follow up on the 27th August I made a follow up with Vodacom the guy called Mohale told me that the lady called Tebogo who assisted me on the 23rd did not record my query. He told me he is going to correct that, and within 5 days Vodacom will send a Courier to pick up the Router so that the Contract can be canceled. Nothing happened.

It has come to my attention that I have another number linked 0823204239 – I do not have the simm for this nor have I ever received and used any data or airtime on the number.

This number does not belong to me. This is for A My Gig 2 Top Up promo. When I spoke to Tumelo during the week, I was told this agreement was taken over the phone in October.

I also only noticed the 3rd line when I went on my Vodacom app during this week.

Please urgently investigate as I do not have the simm and have never received nor used any on the Subs. This is costing me R101.73 monthly and I have only received the first invoice for this in May.

My husband passed away on the 30th of June 2021. I was unable to let your service provider know, because I was in bed with Corona myself When I phoned your customer care line multiple times ,I was advised on what to do, which was to fill in a deceased claim form,as well as my husband's ID documentation. On 2 August 2021, I received an SMS to say that my contract is ending soon and that I am due for an upgrade. I went onto the Vodacom app to see when I can upgrade and it said that there’s a problem with my account and I should phone Customer Care. I did so but couldn’t get hold of a consultant. On 3 August 2021, I called again and got through to a consultant. They advised that my account is in pre-legal and put me through to the finance department. The consultant in the finance department advised that the debit order on my account was canceled. We then discussed a payment plan and the money was debited from my account on 3 August 2021.

While I was in the middle of sorting and transferring stuff from my old cell to my new cell the service provider had blocked my cell number. There was no communication to me a to why. When I called customer care on 082135, they have confirmed this . They can't really give me the reason why and as to why no one contacted me about this issue. they say I have to wait for 30days to be reactivated. I ordered a new phone, my order was confirmed on the3de of Sep 2021 by Joseph ( whom I gave the correct address where Ill be working ). On Friday I spoke to Cherelle she told me a email was send to RAM to deliver my phone to new address.

I got myself a contract for a Laptop at Macro around 2011. 00. Last year, in October 2020, I phoned to ask Vodacom to close the account because that was long ago, they were just taking my money for nothing.

The Laptop is actually no more working. The lady I spoke to, Lebugang/Nthabiseng/Nthabeleng, (I have forgotten the name) took the instruction and promised to close but that I will still pay in November. The account never closed. I then approached the bank in February to close it which they did.

Vodacom has been the worst and dishonest cellular company to be a customer of. Every month i have a contract for R175 per month airtime but get R7 or 30 or 40 rands. Various complaints as to their dishonesty has been made but dismised by them saying they have given us the complete airtime.

We have proof that they lying. If someone were to steal a loaf of bread they jailed but Vodacom is blatantly cheating us outright and stealing from their customer. THEY GETTINGVAWAY WITH IT. Disgusting.

My dad did a transfer from my late mother vodacom account at Alberton Branch July 2019 acc I 1554793.

New account was opened I7651880.

Hence, the account I1554793 was never closed and the debit order ran up from July 2019 until July 2021 with the amount of R385.15 for over 22 months.

Account I7651880 was then handed over to HP Attorneys as they said Dad never paid, but you had dad' bank account number to debit?

We request herewith that the money taken from the bank account be refunded back to him so that we may settle the outstanding account with HP Attorneys.

In April 2021 I applied for home fibre 10mbs package, the fibre was going live in my area in June 2021. In just over a week after my application my router was delivered. The fibre went live in July 202.

I plugged in my router then but it wasn't working, I called customer services they kept on sending me links of DIY installation but that wasn't working. In early August on one my calls to Vodacom the consultant discovered that the reason my fibre wasn’t working is because the 10 mbs package that I ordered roll out has been cancelled he then suggested I order 30 mbs package and cancel the 10mbs package, which agreed.
