AAMCO rebuilt a manual transmission on a 2013 Subaru Impreza in Dec. of 2021, the transmission failed in June of 2022. I called the Cheyenne WY. AAMCO office, explained the situation and they noted the work completed was out of warranty but would be willing to see what went wrong and if I could bring the vehicle to the shop and they could take a look.

They called back a few days later and said when they drained the oil that several parts came out with the oil. I spoke to the manager and asked for options and if they would be willing help cover any costs as with my experience in the maintenance industry, this should have lasted more than 6 months.

Burnet rd location- I feel the lack of honesty and negligence I was put through because I am a woman. I have been through a long drawn out processes and given false information with Jose. I honestly just wanted my vehicle fixed so that my family and I are safe.

remanufactured transmission was bad from day one never worked right at all by 15k miles it failed poor shift quality and reverse was intermittent. the replacement under warranty worked not well but did work but failed with only 10k miles.

I was quoted $3500 for a transmission rebuild after providing my vehicle information. I brought the vehicle in for inspection. They told me they would order parts and let me know when to bring it back for the rebuild. After they didn’t call me or return my calls and after waiting 40 min oh hold the same person who quoted me the original price now tells me she had the wrong info and the rebuild would be more.

That it would be cheaper $5400 for a remanufactured transmission. Was rude and tried to lie about the details of my original quote

We took our Ford Escape to the Knoxville AAMCO for repair. The repair that took place was what the shop told us needed to be done. The car was given back to us with check engine lights still on and no diagnostic reports supporting any repair.

The car broke down again with the same issue 2 days later after about 100 miles of driving. When we took the car to a shop located by our house the engine and cam shaft have both been destroyed now.

The repair that was completed has no data backing up the repair, the response I got from the shop owner in Knoxville is that we should follow our warranty instructions, and the location in Maryland heights has had our car for 4 weeks with no repair in sight.

Why is the rear seal not included when a transmission is rebuilt. Since they have the transmission and engine apart, it would only cost a few dollars to replace the seal. Now I am being told it is not part of the rebuild and it will cost over $1,600 to replace the seal.

The transmission was rebuilt 3/24/22.

They have had my vehicle. 2005 jeep liberty. It was having bogging issues due to coil packs and wiring they said it was the computer I put 400 down. And turned out they said they don't know what's wrong with it !

I took my vehicle in Dec 2001 for a transmission rebuild. It wasn't completed until Feb 2002. I hah my vehicle for less than 2 weeks before I had to return it back because it kept jerking. Til this day, they still have my vehicle.

I have experience discrimination, disrespect, arrogance, attitude, phone calls ignored, nor returned back since then. Every time I call, no response. Leave a voice-mail, no call back. I send someone to check on it and Mike(the owner) says he will call and make no attempt until his closing time and leaves no message. No updates. No nothing.

The last call I got from him was 3 weeks ago and he left no VM. when I called back, no answer. No return call. I even called one afternoon as I was walking in and discovered my calls were being screened.

I have been in a claim with my local aamco for various months now. I took my car in for a clutch replacement, including a clutch fork and pivot nut. They only started working on it until after I payed.

The fork was not replaced and they say I never turned it in when I did. Damage was done to my driver wheel, its a fwd, and to my lugnuts which are now mangled. The owner has lied to me several times about the procedures taken and about my claim's relevance.

This was not professional work, nor is it an honorable resolve of my claim. The owner denys everything and does not show proof on his end.

I brought my 2012 Ford Focus Platinum (white) to AAMCO at the 318 S Industrial Blvd Euless, TX 76040 location several weeks ago. They told me that they were waiting on CarShield who had American Auto Shield underwrite my warranty on my car.

AAMCO said that it would be $5000 to get my car fixed and that the parts and service were not covered under my warranty. I advised them that I could get the part for $340 and that I did not want or authorize them to do any work on my car.

They told me that I could come and get the car; however, I would need to pay $1000 for the inspection of the vehicle and that I signed a paper stating that I agreed to the $1000. I never signed any document as I had never been in their office.

I brought my Nissan in for repair at AAMCO. When I called about transmission repair, I was told by the description that it may not be the transmission and that the dealer often just replaced transmissions when that was not the issue.

I was relieved and brought my car in. I was assured that it was not the transmission but was given a list of other smaller items that totaled in excess of $3,000. I authorized the repair and my car was in the shop for over a week.

I had to keep calling to get status reports myself and was not given updates on when my car would be ready.

Took a 2011 Ford Fiesta in for transmission diagnostics. Cost me over $450 to upgrade the software in the transmission control module (TCM) and they told me that was all it was, no warranty, no guarantee, no nothing. Problem returned a few days later.

Took it back in and now they wanted over $1500 to replace the TCM including parts, labor, and programming the TCM, without any consideration for the $450 I already spent. This is either incompetence and/or just plane getting screwed. I was even willing to split the difference with them and pay them to replace the TCM.

This is the first and last time we will ever use AAMCO.

On may 16th my Insurance Co, USAA, towed my 2007 FORD F150 for service at AAMCO, 7120 East Golf Links Road in Tucson Arizona. It was left there at the end of the business day. CHAD was the person to whom I spoke with and made arrangements for repairs.

New clutch in Feb, came apart while entering the turnpike. They said the tires are burnt up and the mustang was driven hard so they are not warranting any work on the car. They should have put on the receipt no burning out.

The stock clutch worked for 80000 miles but the replacement clutch lasts 2000 miles. Your company is full of garbage. See you in small claims court.

After 4 trips the the Deland I did get an appointment. The Manager (Chris Knecht) took the vin number after the 2nd attempt. Hi scheduled me for two weeks later. The 4th visit (this is transmission fluid change) I left the vehicle. 45 min later I was contacted by my Knecht saying "I cannot do the work for the price I quoted. I took an uber back and I said you had the vin and model you owe me for the uber not to mention my time. After a brief argument I was physically assaulted by Knecht. I promptly call the police and filed a report which is open to the public.

AAMCO is a dangerous place to do business with incompetent and violent employee (Chris Knecht) I am 63 years old and have never experienced anything like this.

Had transmission work done on my vehicle was told it was going to cost $5,200 for a rebuild of transmission and final cost was $5,700 for a repair. The difference between 50,000 warranty versus 30, 000 mile warranty is terrible.

Picked up my car, when accelerating engine hesitates also have a wine in the engine. My car stalled on the freeway twice while I was sitting in traffic. I'm afraid to take it back to AAMCO. I feel I was taken advantage of in the repair is sketchy

I brought my 2010 Ford Escape into the Lafayette IN AAMCO on Monday 5/23 because it was experiencing an issue with the transmission slipping. They said to leave the vehicle and they would check things out. They reported back to me that their diagnostic check reported no issues with the transmission and that their test drive did not reveal any issues either.

The only thing they said needed repair were the coolant lines to the transmission and they recommended a transmission fluid recycling. They felt this would fix the problem I was having. AAMCO installed a new tranny for me not quite 3 years ago along with a 3 year warranty.

My truck has been in the AAMCO shop twice in the past 6 weeks and the problem has not been fixed. I like the guys at the shop but am not happy with the level of service provided as this should all be covered under warranty.

In June 2022 I brought my truck in because tranny fluid is leaking.

The AAMCO at the Glen Ellyn iL location has terrible customer service, very unprofessional, arguing and even using bad words in front of customer, didn’t even want to print out copy of the service they suggested for my truck, the front guy even said he didn’t care for my business because it was complicated? I had a transmission go bad in my 2003 Acura mdx ,so I had it taken to your franchise here in Springfield, ohio. They called me with the estimate, which I okay with ,then they asked me if I wanted some other work done while it was there ( oil change,timing belt ,water pump and tube up and check the brakes which I agreed to.

I have 2014 Ford Focus and my car's transmission was broken. I brought my car to Aamco transmission service to fix it.

Also I had Uproar extended warranty, so I brought my car to Aamco, Aamco said that they accepted exteneded warranty insurance and they added I wouldn't pay anything. Aamco contacted with Uproar, opened my transmission but then Uproar found an excuse and refused to pay bill.

Then Aamco aked me to pay $3000 to fix my car or just to pay $700 for diagnostic and they would give my car without fix. I refused to pay then Aamco reduced to price to $2200. They asked me either pay money or they will call police.

Car was brought into AAMCO In Maricopa Arizona 85138 due to check engine light being on. AAMCO stated that I had a few sensors that were no good and needed to be replaced. Codes p0014 b and p0011 a both are camshaft position sensors.

The next day driving home from work the Check Engine light went on again. AAMCO was open on Saturday. I brought car to car parts house to read the Check Engine code. It was the same codes. So obviously it wasn’t the sensors but something else going on.

I’m bringing the car back on Monday and getting a ride to work. This needs to be fixed. I’m not paying anymore money either and am about to call my credit card company to put a stop on the payment.

Back in October I took my 2005 mustang to have the transmission repaired. After waiting for 5 weeks and having to rent a car for 5 weeks they finally installed the transmission. When I went to pick the car up they informed me that my engine was now messed up.

This was untrue the engine was in top shape when I brought it to amco. They took the top end off of the engine and informed me that it would cost me $7,000 more to repair the damage which I believe that they did themselves.

I am out thousands of dollars in Rent-A-Car fees as well as having a $4,000 transmission job done on my car that now has a blown engine that I did not do. There is no resolution to this, I will not pay them another dime and I believe I should be compensated at least for over 2 months of Rent-A-Car charges.

I took 2011 VW Jetta VIN 3VWDX7AJ3BM394619 to AAmco on 8721 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32211o over month ago. They called us and they quoted $1100 to repair ABS brake on that car. They just called us back that they could not program the ABS Module and now it will be over $3500

I told them I do not want to get it done. They want to charge me $550 for not be able to repair it

If they can repair it based on the Estimate of $1100 I want to do it. Other wise I do not want to pay for labor if they did not repair it

Two weeks ago my transmission went out in my truck and I called the Amoco shop in Bear Delaware the guy gave me an estimate over the phone a between 3000 and 3500 so I had my truck towed there because my local shop quoted me just over 4,000 after my truck was towed to the Amoco shop the shop owner called me and

Ok I was on vaca in san antonio texas around march then my transmission went out so I took it into the local aamco in san antonio they said they would do a complete overhaul with warranty for $3900 so I agreed because of the warranty becuase I live in Bakersfield ca and they are nationwide so I thought just in case something went wrong I could find a local one in my town so

Took my Yukon XL 2010 to get fixed at one of the local AAMCO Transmission and my husband's tools, over $500 of Craftsmen tools, were stolen out of the vehicle while at the shop. I was told, " oh someone jumped the fence and went throw a few cars didn't know your was one of them.

If i would have i would have told you when you checked out". Told all I could do is make a police report. Seriously, would like to be compensated. The truck would have had to been left unlocked if that really happen. Cus nothing was broken.

I took my vehicle in for a routine maintenance of the transmission fluid I was interested in changing it because I had a lot of miles on my car. The store I took it to what's located at 2727 Scottsdale Road Scottsdale Arizona.

I was called and told that the transmission will not go into drive after they did a flush and f i l l when I threatened them with legal action then someone calls me from a North Scottsdale Aamco and ask to have the vehicle towed to them so that they could repair what was wrong.

I brought my car to the 67th and Indian school location 3 times now, I filed a complaint with the BBB after the second time because they told me they replaced my transmission, but had only repainted the original one, and put low quality parts in both times that lasted no longer than a week or two, until I encountered the same issue I brought the car in for.

The manager David Banks has done nothing but lie and take advantage of me as the car has sat in their shop longer than I've even had it on the road, and I have documentation of it. He has NEVER called me when he said he would, I have had to call him every time.

I had a wrecker pick up my 1997 Chevy Silverado 1500 truck towed to Maaco Body Shop on August 19,2021 which they sublet work to Aamco Transmission shop next door 8100 N. They had no reason to be under neath my hood to begin with,when the sublet work consisted of work done to the rear end of the vehicle nothing electrical.

Upon further inspection i remove the dash trim panel under neath the steering wheel and noticed that my alarm wires were cut too. The mechanic was called into the office and asked if he cut my alarm wires and he hesitated for a minute but admitted that he did cut my alarm wires because he stated my truck would not start.
