Contacted ADT in Jan to cancel contract. My account was charged another bill for Feb creating and overdraft in my bank account. I have called multiple times in March to verify ser ice is canceled and no chg will be orocessed in natch.

HVd been told service will be canceled e d 3/24. I ask for a confirmation email have been told they can't do that multiple times. I find zlly got Chris to agree to send an Email he's I. Botca ofc. Stillno email.

Help I have been told in past svc was annealed now I need a confirmation. I am old an feel they are taking advantage of me.

My monitor screen has been showing dead Battery/miss , I call in for service & I am speaking with someone that had a language barrier with a very heavy accent that I could not barely understand . I request to speak to someone else as he continued to try and assist me as I keep telling him I can not understand most of what he is telling me.

He tries walking me through complicating steps with trying to disconnect my system from the outlet which has a red and black wire connected into the back of the outlet than to also try and detach my monitor off of the wall that would not budge as I told him it would not , several times , and I was not going to force it off of my wall as I am still trying to understand him as he was not clear enough for me to understand .

just now NEW Literally the same negative experience I have had is the same as these other 1 stars reviewers!

It is complete trash my alarm hasn’t worked since July of 2022 and Iam stuck paying for this crap. Wait times for customer service is beyond ridiculous. Two of the sensors fell off not too long after they were installed.

I don’t think I even got a solid months worth of a working product.

I had adt in my previous home that worked just fine. The sensors lasted over a year.

Iam unsure why these “new” sensors batteries went bad immediately after install. The quality of this company has diminished greatly over the years.

I recommend cheaper alternatives that DO NOT LOCK YOU INTO A CONTRACT!

Do NOT go with ADT! The worst organization I have ever dealt with. The sales rep Kathy and her manager actually utilize deceptive practices and lie to get business. The company itself has not fixed the issue with them. I have never regretted doing business with a company more in my life.

I promise you that you will be stuck in a nightmare if you choose this horrible company. I have PROOF of the deceptive practices and ADT does not seem to care. They just want to hold you to the contract.

As big as they are-this will eventually catch up with them. There are too many competitors out there at a lower price point, better technology and substantially better service (although the bar is incredibly low with ADT). RUN to any other alarm company!

ADT sucks!!!! They’re liars! All of them. They tell you one thing and do another. They do not watch your home at all. Your home IS NOT protected by them! I cancelled my service. They said I wouldn’t have money taken out until I received a letter telling me the cost of what was owed.

They took the money out 2 days later without my knowledge and I have no letter! Over $1000. They suck and I will NEVER use them again!!!! ALL OF THEM ARE LIARS!! FROM THE SALES REPS TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AMD BILLING!!! LIARS LIARS LOARS!!!!

I have been an ADT customer for 12 years. In November of 2021 I had an attempted break in at my home in Laurinburg, NC, wjile I was out of town. When I returned , I called ADT about adding another exterior camera and flood light at my home.

I was directed to a representative who discussed updating my existing system to the Google Nest/Hub. After a lengthy discussion, I agreed to update my system, A technician came to my hour to install and update the newer system which was to include another camera with a motion light and a doorbell with camera.

He stayed at my house more than 5 hours ans left without completing the installation. He left a hole in my wall where he had removed the old keypad and he said he could not mount the new keypad. He was fired by the company and another tech came a…

Good morning, I am very close to contacting our lawyer. I was charged over $3000 for cancelling service, even though I was just relocating.. on top of over $3000 in charges for the plan I had just upgraded to after being a customer for 5 years.

$3000 is an unjust amount to be charged, and there is no explanation of charges; it just says cancelation of contract. ” It makes absolutely no since and I need to talk to someone who can help. I do not want ADT any more and will tell everyone I know not to get involved with a company who isn’t looking for the benefit of their customers.

ADT two thousand mile white LIE! I can deal with LIES but when a white man continues to LIE he begins to play the race card issue. For the past two months I have contacted USAA in reference to nightmares in the daytime I have encountered with ADT which is a partner with the company.

As a USAA member pushing the door going on three decades I have never experienced such a level of white lies being told by ADT to save their face. I had to call the USAA corporate office several times in an attempt to upgrade the video cameras system in my residents out of state.

On 1/26/23 I spoke with ADT Elizebeth Madgwick, ADT Reo (210671, ID) in afternoon discussing about the adt alarm system, smoke alarm and 4 cameras i bought I had at my newly bought house in Tampa, fl. The techs had come earlier and said the cameras would cost me 299$ a piece.

I said to Liz that I am retired physician and am willing to sign a contract if the cameras are upgraded free. She put me on the hold and offered me a plan where I can have the cameras for free.

I requested her to be available for me on phone on jan 27 when the tech arrives to avoid surprises. The tech arrived and did surprise me. He said his work order was only for alarm system activation and the fee is for only monitoring the alarm and no cameras! Liz never called.

I've been an ADT customer over 20 years. Recently, a lightning strike damaged the keypad and main board of our system, Acct #403716959. I have called ADT about a dozen times (sometimes from different phone numbers, depending on where I was at the time). With the exception of three ADT representatives, I have had a terrible experience with making them understand the problem, correcting my street name, putting me on hold for 30 min, not returning calls when they promised to do so, giving me incorrect information about a required $100.00 deposit before the technician performs the work (which I have now paid), and other time-consuming, frustrating issues.

I am trying to cancel my service and cannot do this online, but have to call a 1-800 number. Once I called and went through the automated options I was told that I would have to wait an average of 84 minutes to speak with a customer representative.

I know longer wish to have this service and In have a job so I cannot spend 84 minutes on the phone to disconnect my service. This discourages me from cancelling and seems to me to be an unfair and deceptive practice on your company's part to require me to waist 84 minutes waiting to cancel my service.

Service wasn't working for years. Technician came out and said only way to work was going through walls. Kept it for the alert when someone opens doors for a bit.

Finally decided to cancel instead of paying ~$40 per month and they said you have to pay one more month. When we got the following bill after that, we were charged yet again. We spent hours trying to get someone on the phone to help - turns out no one noted the cancellation so despite their records showing I called to cancel, they wouldn't get rid of the charge - they said no notes from our ends in the right dept. show you cancelled - refused to have supervisor contact me. day two of trying to find the proprietary cord to charge our doorbell with. We were not aware, nor does our paperwork detail, that we are responsible for charging our doorbell. 5hrs on the phone with tech help who suggest i go to Walmart and ask a random "sales" person about my ADT system needs, because she doesn't know the number or style of the cord I need.

Nor does she know how often I should charge it or how long it should last. She does know that all warranty's are out of date if I have had the system for a year (I'm still paying on it).

My husband and I purchased the packaged deal with ADT in 2020. The man that came to install the system was incompetent to say the least. That man promised us that the price was going to drop when we paid the "equipment" on around year two.

The app seems to fail frequently. The customer services is not able to provide adequate information as to the services. My husband called and complaint about the system not getting the "almost kidnapping of a neighbor (he is 4 yrs old) playing in the street.

The customer services representative send out a staff member that was going to look at our cameras and fix the issue. When this staff member arrived, he wanted for us to buy a new system of cameras, telling my husband that he was going to give him 20% off!

ADT installed a system in a house I was renting 15 months ago. It was understood with the sales rep that I was building another home and would only need the system for the year. The ring doorbell is broken and I call to see about getting if fixed. The lady never advised me of a assessment charge . The service tech showed up and first thing he said was we do not repair the doorbells you need to buy a new one.

He also wrote in his service sheet that I told him something fell on it THIS WAS A TOTAL LIE. They took the fee right out of our account without me signing anything. I tried to talk to someone and they just tell me that they can’t credit it .

I would give adt zero stars if I could, they are a terrible company and would not recommend having any service with them. I recently moved and tried canceling and they kept transferring me to other departments, they are unprofessional and they don't care about your circumstances.

They told me that I verbally agreed to a contract that I never agreed to for another year and so I ask them if I can transfer the service to another home, since I have this service and they said we can, but you will have to agree to another 36 month contract with them.

I ended up with a huge bill I ended up paying. I'm DISGUSTED!! I will never do business with them again. BEWARE THEY WILL TRY TO CON YOU IN A VERBAL AGREEMENT

I have been a long time client of adt. I have 4 properties for which I pay every month. I pay a significant amount in a monthly basis, most recently over a thousand dollars since 2016. And have been a client since 2002.

The Pulse system works perfectly, the Control (which I have for 3 of the properties is very unstable). 3 of the properties are in NY, the 4th one in Florida. Due to the fact that the Florida group seems to be very aggressive in the sale and absent when There is an issue, I had a hickconect in the florida property.

Either incompetent or fraudulent. I was told years ago that when I upgraded, the system was now using cellular connection…allegedly that was the reason for the antennas on the box they installed. After speaking w 7 reps, 2 of which could barely speak English, and sitting on hold for a total of more than 4 hours, I reached a rep who said the system would be converted to cellular at no cost to me.

She reassured me of this several times. Next person said there is a charge and they will not waive it. I have paid for years for a service that I did not have.

I called ADT today to ask if I would have to pay for an update on my equipment, if needed. I was rather rudely told by an agent she would put me in contact with that department. 32 minutes I was on hold. These hold times at ADT are absolutely ridiculous. I finally got connected 32 minutes later and we had phone issues so he said he would call RIGHT back. He never did. I have been thinking of changing my security system over to someone else for a while now and this is probably going to be the final straw in why I am doing so. It started about Two months ago when my kitchen widows sensor due to low battery. Hours on phone trying to get someone to help finally got Video appointment to install batteries. A little over week ago same sensors going off low battery.

Ran the test over phone with technical support , she said needed to be change out both sensors. She said will send technician out Sat between 11-12 receive email with name of person that would be out. I had to work that day so I got my daughter to come and wait.

ADT will transfer you in circles and refuse to let you speak to a manager. I've been on the phone for an hour now due to a representative in July failing to cancel my account for a house I moved out of in September. I have had reps try to sell me other products, talk in circles, transfer me to areas I don't need to be in, and claim my phone is breaking up.

This is not the first time either, I have had to call them multiple times over the same issue since July, each call exceeding an hour, each time saying I would be credited only to receive another bill.

I pay for my elderly parent's ADT. They had a bad storm in the beginning of June, 2022. A tech came out because it would not come on. 00 to replace. My parents told the tech to cancel. I called and cancelled.

I git billed in July, 2022 for July, August and September. I called and told them again that the system was not working and that I wanted the amount charged sent back to me. He tried to wheel and deal with me and I tried to explain that my parents didn't wat it.

ADT has 2 companies apparently.. ADT and ADT. BLUE. I find myself stick in the middle.. how can that be with a huge company like ADT who we trust to provide security for us and our families. Yet they cant handle a simple thing like transferring my account to a mew address.

Due to that I was charged almost 500$ , even after speaking to at least 6 people who guaranteed I would not be charged.. This was back in April 2022. It is nor October, and after 2 additional follow ups on WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY REFUND, because I'm still a customer..

absolutely frustrated trying to get any help via phone. I have been with ADT for ten years, we agreed to a system upgrade. the new system was installed and now we are being billed over $600 for so-called extras. we had 12 sensors did they really think i wanted a new system with 8?

I have had a very serious conflict with ADT especially with my branch employees and managers. Names are Korey Fitzgerald which is the technician specialist and Ron Loetz which is the branch manager. Korey and I spoke and have written proof about what my monthly payments were going to be which was $115 and some change.

My alarm started beeping on Friday 9/30/22 and I called ADT and they gave me an appointment for Monday 10/3/22 and turned around and cancelled because they claim I don't have insurance. I was never advised that I needed insurance.

I need a battery and they should be able to send me a battery. I pay my bill on time and in full each and every month. Where can I get a battery for my alarm? Some of the workers at ADT is very nasty and seem not to care how the talk or care whether you get your alarm in working order.

ADT is a "bait and switch" company that "has the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing". SEVEN attempts to get my (senior) Mom's house updated with more sensors for her new windows. Emails. Calls with one hour hold times.

I have been a customer with ADT for over 20 years, 10 at my current home. In the past year and a half, I have been paying for a service without being protected. Ever since they did the 5G upgrade my system will not connect when my alarm system goes off.

I have spoken to over 5 managers and had over 6 technicians come out to resolve the problem and still no resolution. I have missed days at work to be here for the technicians. I have waited over an hour at times just to speak to someone and just get transferred to another department.

Worst Customer Service ever!! When you can finally (after 5 hours!) speak to a representative, they are totally useless. When you call, the wait time can be several hours, when you ask to be put in the queue for a call back, they do indeed call you back, however, it is only to be put back in the queue.

They can’t answer simple questions regarding batteries and installation.

Unbeknownst to us, we went from a wired system to a battery system. Never in the entire 12 hour installation period, was the word battery mentioned. We have 23 zones, each requiring a battery, which can be different in each zone!! Luckily, we are moving soon, and WILL NOT be using ADT in the new house!

I had a new ADT installation on September 21,2022 at 4825 Kawanee Avenue, Metairie, Louisiana 70006. I called in on September 22nd for technical support. Waited for a long time without anyone picking up. Then on the 23rd I decided to Cancel. . Again, I had to wait hours this afternoon, September 23rd trying to get though the Cancellation Department. Never did.

Therefore, I contacted USAA VISA card department and filed a dispute for the amount charged by ADT; the amount is $140.97, dispute # 22413005. I am sad about this because I have been with ADT for many, many years. In fact, currently we have two other homes that is with ADT. Even sadder, is that I was not able to find the ADT customer service or Resolution Department to hear my concern.

After 14 years with ADT we decided to upgrade our system to the new monitoring, doorbell and camera system. Since installing the new system last May we are now waiting for our 4th technician to come our and fix the monitors.

One is presently blank and the other one only says please stand by. We are not happy with having to pay the technician fee for a problem that is not of our doing. We are in our 80 and 90 age bracket and have been without our alarm for 2 nights and now have to wait 2 more nights.

Tues 9/16 power outage. When restored, updated date/time but time was on 24 hr clock and I did not know that. Needed to correct from 4am to 4pm. Simple? You'd think. Tried to use Online Chat as phone wait time outrageous but left callback for phone. Online 4:27pm - 5:09pm. Unresolved. ADT called.

Person I talked to walked me through so many steps - 35 minutes. Result? They walked me right into programming. Got notification I had an alarm incident. Told them that. He did nothing. ADT called about alarm. Explained. They needed handoff from support person to cancel alarm.

Joined the 2 calls togther. They "help" person at ADT was lost even though guy for alarm tried to explain it well enough that I understood what to do. It got to the point where the "help" guy went silent and would no…

I have been an ADT customer for over five years. It has always been great. So when I moved I called to get ADT installed in my new home. I was told I was going to be charged $300 to start service in my new home.

When the installation date came, I was told it would be almost $2,000. He said the ticket was wrong and I should call to get it fixed. I have been calling since then. I have spent DAYS on the phone, on hold, disconnected, and re-explaining my self.

I have yet to resolve the issue. I am ready to just cancel. This is ridiculous.

Tried 4 times to get support ! Our system doesn’t operate properly. The only 2 times I managed to get to customer service I could NOT understand the heavy accent of the tech no way. I. Frustrated enough to cancel.

They have a 20min wait time on the phone but it’s really like 35. I still have these unresolved issues!
