On August 15 an Air Canada employee in Cancun arbitrarily decided not to let me and my family board back to Canada. We went to a nightmare to be able to find another flight and return. We file A complain on October 5 and again on Jan 25 and we haven't had any response.

I have a lawyer and I and I am preparing to fill a case, but it is incredible that after causing us all that problems and suffering Air Canada haven't even reply to us.

Hi there, we had a trip booked with Air Canada which was supposed to leave Jan 9th, 2022. Due to the non-essential travel ban, we had to cancel the trip, which was done 21 days prior to departure. According to AC's policies, (we had purchased the carefree insurance) if you canceled within 21 days of departure, you would receive a full refund to the original form of payment.

As stated, we submitted the cancelation request on December 19th, 2021, which was exactly 21 days prior to departure. They emailed us an invoice, which claims the trip was cancelled but was given as a future travel credit instead. This is incorrect, based on their policies.

I have tried sending at least 3 forms over the past two months with no responses. I have spent about 30+ hours on hold with AC with no response…

I flew out of Kelowna to Vancouver and then on to Jakarta on February 12, 2022.

KelownaAirport: (flight 10:40 AM to Vancouver) I initially I thought I would be able to do all carry on. As I approached the "guard" at departures I was asked "Are you going to Alaska?". I said no. The South Asian man said "you have so many clothes on". I said I live in Nelson where there is still snow. he said "there is still snow here". I wondered what the point was but it was clear he was being critical for no reason. This was not chat. My attire is none of his business and not open for comment. Unless I was nude of course. Travel with baby and 2 kids on Feb 8 YYC to Frankfurt, crew said sorry no food for her. Absolutely surprised with no knowledge how airline treat it's customers. Flight was no so packed but experienced very challenging poor service.

For sure I expect the same on return flight too? Human error is always possible but no alternative Muslim food to offer is another pathetic situation. I deserve this what I pay for it?

Date of travel: Feb/08/2022 From SFO to YYZ Flight: AC 740 I just wanted to bring to your notice, how an employee was being ridiculously rude and extremely unprofessional. Me and my daughter were traveling home to Toronto from SFO.

I had our Covid test results- a screen shot of the test. When i got to the airport, the counter official asked me for a PDF copy of our tests. I said i dont have a PDF copy but i have the screen shot which gives you the name, DOB, result, date of the test.

However she said she wanted the PDF copy… so i got off the line and contacted my sis in law (who lives therd and hence provided her email for the test results) She forwarded the link ti me. My 80 year old mother travelled alone I. A wheel chair. At security her phone was left in a security bin. When she realized that it was the case after reaching the gate and informed person at counter. They refused to help saying they did not have ph no for security.

And to call her daughter( myself) to come and pick the phone from lost and found. Did not offer to make the call or help her in making a call for a senior with language barrier. Phone was delivered to my mother because I kept calling her and a lady at the security check answered and on my request kindly arranged for someone to go to the gate for my mother’s flight to have the phone delivered to my mother.

On January 27th, 2022 I travelled form Toronto Pearson to Fort Lauderdale, Florida on flight AC1620 (Rouge) for a 4-day vacation. My flight was delayed and upon arrival in Fort Lauderdale I waited for my luggage for one hour which ultimately never showed up.

I spoke to an Air Canada representative at the airport who advised me my luggage never made it on the plane form Toronto even though it was accepted by Air Canada in Toronto. The representative provided me a case number (FLLAC30103).

I was told my luggage would be on the next flight from Toronto to Fort Lauderdale and my luggage would be delivered to my hotel that evening. I am absolutely furiious with Air Canada. Maarten from Toronto. I was aware that they were ceasing direct return flights. They booked me on 2 flights to return (the first on an American carrier) which required me to spend the night in the Newark Airport (of all place), then fly on an Air Canada flight the next day to Toronto.

A travel agent friend told me West Jet still had direct flights back from St. Maarten and booked me on one. Obviously Air Canada must have known West Jet had a direct flight. Air Canada would like us to think that they care about their passengers, yet they would rather have one spend the night at Newark Airport than benefit a competitor and keep a bit of business - the flight from Newark to Toronto

If I could give zero stars I would. My flight got turned around due to fog. We then sat in the airplane for an hour, then we’re taken off the plane to wait for the next flight which also got cancelled.

My flight was rescheduled for the next morning and I asked for a voucher for a hotel as this was not an error on my part. They refused and did absolutely nothing for me. The lady chuckled when I explained I didn’t have more money to be spending on the expensive hotels around there. Awful airline. Steer clear.

When l arrived l feigned sand in my eye and delayed my test until sometime after three. When l arrived at the airport all the agent could see was the time slot 2,30. And refu sed to board me. There was no time for when l took the test.

30 was not the time and he said l am not losing my job because of you. Now l am a 77 year old man with a heart condition and was very unhappy. I had to lug all my luggage back to terminal 1 including golf clubs.

I had to pay for a new test, a hotel room, cab fare, and for a new flight. I was the keynote speaker at my best friends BD celebration and missed it. My medical had run out. The next day the test l gave the warm and friendly agent had no time or date but they boarded me in a friendly fashion.

On Sunday January 23rd my husband James Bazely and I both 58 years old we’re flying back from Phoenix Arizona on AC1286. We went on line to check in and we received our boarding pass. We went to the AC desk at the airport at around 9:30am to check in the one bag we had with us.

The woman behind the counter asked us for our proof of PCR test. 00 each US for the test. We asked to see the manager since the test was taken in California and there was one hour time difference on it.

She told us she was the supervisor and dismissed us. Booking the test was difficult to begin with since to try to find a location where we were staying at the time that had openings and considering the amount of time 1-3 days that these locations took to give results.

on Jan 24 2022, My daughter and I travelled with Air Canada flight - flight # AC1098 from Costa Rica to Toronto. in the plane my daughter got hungry and I ordered cheese and fruit platter and one kitkat for the price of $10,50 in total.

the flight attendant did not provide a receipt and I did not pursue. now I checked my RBC online banking and I see $63 has been charged on my credit card! I would ask Air Canada for providing my receipt and immediate refund of my money.

'This is an easy thing. I need to see the receipt and the breakdown of what I paid for. it is clear that I paid for someone else charges. Please check the menu and see the price of fruit platter and a kitkat! it is not $63.

My first Air Canada flight in almost 10 years of avoiding this airline. Thought I would give it one more try a short flight from Calgary to Regina.

BUT my carry on baggage was lost almost a month ago. They didn't have room on the plane so asked us to check in some of our carry on. Was patient at first due to it being around Christmas and such but between the poor customer service and nothing being done or any communication or updates I have had enough.

Spoke to 3 agents at the airports (regarding what was in it what bag looked like etc.) and called the baggage phone line 4 times. It all started on Dec 31 2021, when I received an email informing me that my flight (AC 411 Montreal to Toronto on Jan 2 2022) was cancelled. Which made all the other flight to get to my destination ( Kamloops, BC) avoid.

Then another one informing me that they rebooked it ( AC 305 Montreal to Vancouver then AC 8062 Jan 2 2022). Still not too bad, but then it gets a little irritating, as the flight was delayed twice, which at this point I am missing my flight to Kamloops and it is not until the next day that I will be able to be home (AC 8054).

They give me meals tickets and said to stop at customer service upon arrival they will have a hotel booked for the night. The meals ticket (20$) for a 24 hours delay in total, are not accepted in the airplane, (which mean I was hungry the hole…

Air Canada changed our seat numbers last minute from seat# 20 to 5. I tried to confirm with the gate agent and he advised to help me when its time for us to check in. He called in zone 1 and 2 so we lined up and this agent looked at my ticket with 20 ( zone 4 ) on it...

Im trying to explain to him that our seats have been changed and I got the text msg but he wont listen to my explanation at all. He was so rude and raised his voice to us (with my 10 yr old).

This agent from YVR has zero customer service skills and should not be in this field. Air Canada should train their people how to treat people respectfully. Never again with Air Canada!

Received email from air Canada stating that my file was closed and would no longer discuss my experience with air Canada. This file is not closed to my satisfaction. As you can see from all of the flights that I was on below, Air Canada did not get me to my destination strictly because of COVID excuses. I had to get off two aircrafts after boarding not because of COVID. There is no excuse to leave an entire flight stranded in an airport for 12 hours with no accommodations or explanations.. I was not only delayed getting to Vancouver by more than 9 hours but also delayed coming home due to aircraft breakdown. Then having to wait 2 hours for another flight

I was returning to Winnipeg on flight 296 from Vancouver. I was seated in a aisle seat 33D. The gentleman seated across and 1 seat back in the aisle in seat 34C basically was allowed to fly for 3/4 of the flight with his mask removed.

even up until we had to prepare for landing. as mandated by Transport Canada .. he had his off under his chin the entire time... and did not enforce this rule even when they walked by and saw him. I was extremely upset and the lack of control. Compromising my health .

My family had a flight today out of Boston to say Paulo Brazil. We did our COVID’s tests 48 hours prior to the flight and our results did not come in so we tried to rebook our flight. We have got nothing but a run around and we still don’t have our flight booked.

Just completed the worst return flight home on AC that I have had in 30 years of flying. First flight delayed more than an hour which made us late for our connecting flight crossing a border - had to literally run to the gate. Despite repeated requests to the AC staff onboard our flight that left late regarding our connecting flight - we got no valuable assistance. We were assured the AC ground crew would be available to help us once we landed - they were no where to be seen when we landed. We finally boarded our connecting flight and then sat on that flight for almost an hour. They loaded three bags for passengers who did not come back to the gate. Why would you load bags on the plane when a customer has not cleared US customs? Over a half hour delay in Toronto on top of a two and a half hour delay in Ottawa due to bad weather.

These guys have been doing it for a while and this is not rocket science. How hard is it to find a bag from 100 some bags? Scan the tags!!

I booked my flight with air Canada no November 17. I reached air port 3 hours ago. I was in the line. I saw how air Canada customer service representative were mis-treating an asian couple. I thought it is a single event and I should not draw any conclusion.

In December 3rd, 2021 at flight AC90 departure time 10:550pm, Boeing 787-9 from Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) to São Paulo (GRU) I was denied to travel with my dog and daughter because they alleged that my dog courier was too big so I asked to measure it because the courier was in accordance with the specifications from air Canadá website.

So the agent call the manager and the manager said that he’d not allow it even though we explained that it was in accordance. He just said no with no argument. I missed my flight with no reason. I had to pay another Uber to bring me home.

I’ll have to pay for another covid test for me and my daughter . I’d like to have at least a refund to try to alleviate the damaged they caused with no reason.

Inordinate delay in issuing Travel voucherWe both are senior citizens above 65 years of age. 52 is issued for each passenger. I enquired again in September 2021, I was told that travel voucher would be issued after 6 weeks. My Case No.

was CAS-3840025-V7J4W3 dated 21st September 2021 for issue of travel voucher. I have attached below copy of acknowledgment. Today, I was told over the phone that it would take another 6-8 weeks. We are going through intense financial hardship and torture.

This way we will lose all trust in AIR CANADA.

I have a problem with the travel voucher I received, instead of receiving a single travel voucher for my booking I received 4, but in online booking you can only use 2, so I have to split my reservation There are flights for which you can process a reservation, and it is mentioned that there are 3 seats left at this price, but when you continue the reservation you cannot enter the passenger's name and

I took the aforementioned flight this morning.

I must say that the service in the business class has declined immensely. The fellow who was the steward in our cabin was not interested in serving. He hid himself behind the curtains and was constantly talking with another stewardess.

I had to ring and ask him , if was going to serve breakfast. He did upon my ask.

I asked for tea and he brought a cold tea. I had to send it back and asked if had tea which was hot.

I do not know why such a decline in service. Is it because of Covid or mere laziness. I wish your crew was not unionized and were trained and to be responsible for the work they are paid for.

Oh well. There goes a good name of Air Canada down .

Hello, My requested food was given to another passenger on the flight and the hostess had no other option of accommodating me. I was left hungry throughout my flight. And on my way back my meal request wasn’t even offered and once again I was left with no food.

On August 11, we supposed to travel with Air Canada from Atlanta to Ottawa. AC moved our flights to Delta Airlines. Delta let us stay at the Airport for all day. they charged lots of money for our luggage's. We stayed all day at The Airport until late in the PM. Without food or drin,k we arrived in NY Laguardia late at night. We stayed at this Airport until next day and when we took Air Canada to come back to Ottawa, AC charged us again for the Luggages. You will find a document that I received from the agent. She was trying to reach you.

We ask a damages for $3,000 for staying 2 days at the airport without food or water and no everything, plus the extra money we payed for the luggages.

We asked to change our trip to a later date , willing to pay a few extra dollars. 00 dollars from each of us. I think this is a cash grab at a time when everyone is going thru hard times.

All we were asking for was a reasonable outcome. 00 dollars. 00 dollars due to greed. My friend and I will survive but Air Canada will have a bit more money. I might add I have been a faithful customer and an Aeroplan member for years.

Hello, I am Annette Traverso (Aeroplan # 391352697) and I wish to make a formal complaint to Air Canada about flight AC 913 scheduled to leave FLL at 12:40 pm on 10/08/21 and arrive at YYZ 15:47 the same day. Before I do I must say I have been traveling to Canada for the past ten years with Air Canada and your airline has always proven to be safe and reliable.

My Complaint: I received 4 notifications of flight changes for the above mentioned flight, until eventually, the flight was scheduled to leave at 17:30 pm and I boarded the aircraft. After being on the runway for a period of time the pilot spoke and said he had been instructed to return to the gate because he would have exceeded his flight time for the day if he continued with the flight!

The one star rating I am giving is for this specific isolated incident complaint and does not reflect Air Canada because Air Canada is one of the BEST airlines in the world and my views about AC are always the same. On October 10, 2021, I along with my wife were travelling on flight # 7484 from Toronto to LaGuardia NY.

My daughter and myself were denied boarding on a false ground. We were going to travel to Bangladesh on Oct 10 (can send e-ticket if needed). Since her passport’s validity is until march 27, 2022 she was denied boarding although she has no visa required visa to travel to Bangladesh.

According to high commission for Bangladesh, Ottawa, Canada, “No Visa Required to Travel to Bangladesh’’ endorsement is valid as long as the passport remains valid on which it is affixed. The person can enter Bangladesh as many times as he/she wishes and can stay there without any time restriction within the validity of the passport. In order to issue no visa required they need an original foreign passport with at least six-month validity.

15 pm on 12th August 2021 at Pearson airport as Business Class Priority Air Canada passengers. We both had health sickness problem; myself had open heart surgery , recently had "STROKE" (Coagulation blood in coronary tract) and chronic diabetes. My wife had recently undergone both knees surgery,(under recovery period), hypertension and Diabetes (insulin case) in having serious sickness of heart, diabetes.

We wheelchair "Senior Citizens" passengers. After landing we were taken to wheelchair section of Pearson airport. There we were directed to wait till agents come to push our wheelchairs to Immigration hall. 30 hours. No body was there to assist us, neither Air Canada nor airport staff.

I asked the lady in-charge to help us. But she said "it is the duty of agents to take you". She can…

As a longtime and frequent flier of Air Canada Airlines, I am confident that you will be as appalled as I am at my recent experience regarding been detained and escorted all the time by United States police.

On Aug 29, 2021, I departed from Sao Paulo on Flights 8190 & 3400. Imagine my disappointment and frustration when I was retained in Florida by USA police without communication for a long time without knowing what I had done wrong. After hours the Officer told me I should not be there due to the COVID-19 restriction. Two police officers escorted me through the airport to the airplane door and handed my documents to the flight attendant. It wasn’t pleasant having everyone looking at me.
