On October 20, my wife and I travelled from Toronto to Atlanta business class, which was (of course) delayed. We had 2 NORMAL size carry-on bags (yes, they easily fitted into the bag checker) which did not fit into the overhead compartments, many of these compartments at the front business class area on the port side were unusable as they appeared to be locked.
With little leg room to begin with (obviously reduced room on this aircraft like the overheads) and our two carry-on bags stuffed under the seat in front along with our two backpacks. As soon as I stopped trying to stuff our bags into the overhead and bent down to put our backpacks in, economy class passengers reached over me and dumped in their assorted bags.
