I had over 550,000 points and wanted to book some flights to Cuba. In the past, I booked 14 flights to Australia for about 60,000 so I assumed it would not be more. The phone was answered by someone whose first language was not English but Spanish I think.

I told him I wanted to know the cost to book three tickets but had to confirm the dates. He said he could not direct me to somewhere on the webpage where I could simply get the information and that I had to have dates to get prices.

He had trouble understanding me but we progressed for two full hours to book three tickets. One of the pleasures of dealing with Air Canada was in the past I could change flights up to 24 hours before the flights, at no charge.

My luggage was left in the open air in Toronto, on the way to Vancouver, while it was raining, I arrived to my cruise ship in Vancouver to find all my clothes in my suitcase soaking wet. This is not acceptable. I can not file a damaged luggage report because I was on the ship and by the time I came back, it was more than a week.

My wife’s surname was misspelled on the booking Was happy when I was able to contact customer care from the airport because the connecting airline wouldn’t let us fly and asked us to contact Air Canada. Was so happy when I got hold of the customer care after trying to call several times but was so disappointed when the customer care just couldn’t make the correction in order for us to get on with our flight.

Just the letter “i “ was missing. I was told to apply for a change and the fee was $120 and it will take a day to be done. We booked for a hotel and paid $140 because our flight to Canada was the next day.

I lost the money I paid for our hotel booking and the Uber we used to get to the airport and back home. I called customer care the next day and they just fixed it. Why can’t they…

My parents booked their flight with Air Canada from Manchester, England, to Vancouver, BC, with a flight change in Toronto. They were then transferred to a flight to Otttawa, with an an additional three hours delay. We arrived at the airport at 8:00pm, and their flight didn’t get in until 10:19pm.

All 32 people on that airline now have to have their luggage forwarded to them, if they can find it. My parents, who are in their 80’s have nothing but the clothes on their back. What a joke. Never fly Air Canada

The passengers took the flight SN2268 from CPH to BRU. And while trying to check in for the SN9551 they had the ArriveCAN and the PCR test but the agent refused to let them get into the plane or to return them to CPH.

The language was a struggle specially that the passengers talk only Sweden language and the agent of air canada talk french and English. They’ve been left at the airport for 2 days so they’ve paid for taxi hotels then I was obligated to pay 1400 to take the plane on 2 septembre and we don’t have any choice Brussels airline let them get to BRU without validate all requirements then

Frying Air Canada has NOT been pleasant.

First, our flight from Los Angeles to Calgary was delayed 5 TIMES on 8/29. Then, our flight from Calgary to Toronto was delayed and then cancelled, and my partner and I were rebooked on separate flights. I mean, really? NOT COOL. NOT IMPRESSED.

AND, I can't get ahold of anyone for the next 2 hours by phone, even though we flight out soon. Terrible customer service. net

This was our first time travelling with our twin babies. The Air Canada flight attendants, particularly Judy, single-handedly caused us unnecessary grief and discomfort and made this flight the most unpleasent flight we've ever experienced.

It was our first time to Vancouver and our flight was delayed we had reservations for dinner that we really wanted to go to but because of the delay flight we missed it. The our flight back. I thought air canada was strict with the Covid precautions but they let 2 kids come on board coughing non stop and not wearing or keeping their mask on.

I had a one year child with me and I’m also pregnant and they were just coughing the entire flight with no flight attendant saying put mask back on. It’s very upsetting I hope my daughter and I don’t get sick.

On Monday August 22nd, I was scheduled to fly to DC for a 4 day conference. I arrived at the airport just after 5am given my nexus status. I made my way through to the gate with plenty of time to spare, but my 715am flight ended up being cancelled.

I was also travelling with 2 of my colleagues who had their Sun evening flight cancelled so they had been put on my flight. We then proceeded to call AC direct through the white phones, and we continued to be put on the next DCA flight, or Baltimore flight, or Dulles flight.

Flight after flight after flight, there was no room or it was cancelled. By 830pm, I was told by AC that I would not be able to get another seat until Tues at the end of the day, therefore missing 2 days of the conference.

I purchased an upgrade to Business Class and paid the $400, was issued my receipt confirming the same for flight 108 from Vancouver to Toronto at 09:00. When going through the boarding gate, I was informed that I had been "bumped" back to Premium Economy with no reason as to why. I have been starting to travel for business again and have a 35k status with AC, but I am now going to start flying with other airlines.

This is a disgusting way to treat your loyal customers and it is no wonder that the customer ratings for Air Canada are so low.

I had better receive a refund right away for the full $400 I paid for the "Upgrade". Your airline sucks!

Our flight AC855 on 3rd May 2022 was delated buy approximately 4.5 hours. Under Article 7 of the Regulation (EC) 261/2004 I am entitled to the Right to Compensation, and based on the distance of the flight I am entitled to a payment of £520.

We travelled as a party of 6 and my travelling companions, including my husband, have already received £520 per person compensation and in addition, a discretionary payment of £513 was received by one of the party, with the reason stated for the delay being technical issues.

My claim has been refused on the grounds that the incident was caused by a health and safety issue and so my claim is not valid.

Last week I supposed to go on a cruise but due to Air Canada delays at customs I had to change my flight to a different place. This is how started: I came at 1 am saturday ,my flight supposed to leave at 6:30 am the same day ,but because my mother needed a wheelchair person to push her, I had to wait to get into my flight.

On August 12 we traveled back from London England on Air Canada flight 861. We found it very frustrating and extremely disappointing that the window shades were kept shut and we were plunged into darkness nearly the entire way home.

When I asked about this, I learned from the flight attendants that they over-rode the window controls to keep the cabin dark which was a surprise to me and quite frustrating since looking out the window is one of my/our favourite things to do. 5 hours of being in that very dark cabin and having no control over the window I was feeling very claustrophobic.

I definitely don't want this experience again. I've asked others if they experienced this on recent flights and the ones that did said they felt the same way - lacking control and feeling very claustrophobic…

I and my friends travelled on 11 August on AirCanada and I lost my bags and its been almost 20 days and none of the aircanada staffs have any idea regarding this issue. I had to call them since the day one and they don't have proper communication and concerns about their passengers and have been asking us to wait for further unconformation.

But our laggages have been located and transitted to Toronto pearson airport on14th August neither the aircanada officials nor the staff have any details about our bags. We had to travel almost 3 hours to the airport to check for the bags because the representatives were helpless.

I flew on A860 Vancouver to London on 23rd August, travelling premium economy. My complaint concerns the food. Shortly after take off we were offered a meal consisting of a potato and egg salad followed by a choice of main course .

I opted for the gnocchi. The dessert was carrot cake. The salad was inedible as it was still partially frozen. The gnocchi could be best described as passable. The carrot cake was again partially frozen. The final insult was the white wine which was warm!

The staff then seemed to vanish until breakfast which consisted of a croissant still chilled with no butter or jam, served in a brown paper bag, there was also a pot of lemon yogourt and at last a cup of coffee. We flew to Montreal as part of a package deal with Travelphere, to make sure we were refreshed and ready to continue with our journey we upgraded our seats to premium economy. We were seated just forward of the economy cabin with no discernible noise barrier between the cabins.

The check in desk at OHare is atrociously slow. The agents take 5-10 minutes per client and the line is nearly out the door. No sense or urgency, there are customers with issues (paperwork) they should have these people step aside and help others waiting in line. Absolutely awful.

Flight C082 from Montreal to Tel Aviv on August 23rd 2022 was supposed to leave at 18:10. The flight was delayed due to an error on Air Canadas part, overbooking and the flight left only at 20:30 causing delay of arrival in Israel which of course caused additional problems of plans upon arrival.

The ticket was very expensive $1600. In addition I also paid $100 for an upgrade of the seat only to discover that the seat I received was broken and did not recline making a 10 hour flight quite uncomfortable. I am aware that problems do occur due to weather, malfunction etc...

but due to overbooking is an error that should not occur. I would appreciate if this matter would be handled as you see fit. thank you in advance for your cooperation

Flew direct from Halifax to Vancouver on AC 361 on Aug. 23, 2022. It was a six and a half hour flight. Cabin crew went through the cabin shortly after takeoff and my wife and I received a 4 oz. glass of water.

They never bothered to go through again. Simply sat at the back of the aircraft and did nothing. Terrible service; we were parched. Laziest cabin crew we've ever experienced. Someone should be disciplined for this. Terrible service.

Air Canada / Jazz #8915 (E75L) flight on 21-Aug-2022 from Toronto Pearson Int'l (YYZ) to Chicago O'Hare Intl (ORD)

My grandson arrived from Israel (AC 081) after a 11+ hour flight. His connecting flight to Chicago was delayed and then cancelled I presume because of weather. Around 11:30PM while waiting to board, the gate staff got up and left without saying a word to the passengers. A few minutes later the passengers received an email stating that the flight we cancelled. The passengers were literally stranded without knowing what was going on and with nobody to speak to.

It seems the gate staff didn't want to deal with the passenger so they just left. This is irresponsible and unacceptable behavior by Air Canada staff.

Peter O’Neil & I bought business class tickets Ottawa-Vancouver return for Aug 5-12, 2022.

The staff were great. The food was inedible on both the plane & in your lounges. There is no excuse with excellent food available at both cities. The onl reason we ate it was because we were so hungry.

It is shameful to call this business class. We will think twice before getting business class with you again. A friend recommended that when we go next to Paris we just do economy Air France & we’ll have much better food.

The problems started on AC 809 flight 12:15pm from MAN on the late arrival into Toronto Pearson. I therefore missed my connection to Tampa Fl. I was therefore rebooked on a AA airline via Charlston to Tampa which I again missed because I was told to go collect baggage from AC809 which I waited 3 hours for that didn’t turn up.

I was then told by Air Canada that my luggage was probably in Tamps and was booked on next day Aug 18 to TPA at 7:45am via Air Canada and was told to be at airport at 4:30am. I finally arrived in TPA but no sign of luggage which I reported.

Luggage finally tracked down and delivered on Aug 21. When I got suitcase it had been locked by baggage and I never locked this suitcase had no key ir number code so had to break my suitcase open. All in all a really stressful…

I took Air Canada Flight 8683 from Baltimore/Washington Airport BWI to Toronto YYZ on June 25, 2022. ETKT 0147721360266 Booking Reference 3MQQA5. The flight took off very late, sat on the ground in Toronto after landing due to lack of availability of gate for a minimum of an hour, and then sat at the gate for a long period of time due to lack of a gate agent to open the door and free the passengers.

Upon leaving the plane (I was toward the middle of the plane), I ran to customs and proceeded through fairly quickly, but when I got to my connecting flight to Vancouver Flight #131, the plane had already left. I was not alone in this. There were other passengers on my initial flight that also missed the same connecting flight.

Hello, We would like to file a complaint for refund as our flight was delayed by 5+ hours. It was a complete inconvenience as we were prepared to be home at a certain time and needed to be back in toronto for important obligations.

Our flight was on July 20th at 1:00pm (AC142) , but did not take off till atleast 6pm. It is not the first time that we are facing such issue. Passengers buy expensive tickets because they have important work to do or to be at their desired place for an important reason.

But I guess you people do not consider our engagements or tasks important. Under the boarding regulations, we are entitled to compensation due to the delay.

My brother and I flew Air Canada from Edinburgh, Scotland following the August 14 date you cited for service improvements. Unfortunately we did not benefit from those measures.

Our 8.26 Glasgow flight was sufficiently delayed, amidst two gate changes, that we missed our connecting flight to Cleveland on August 26, and were forced to spend the night at a motel near the airport. Flight 1852 August 20, 2022 Thanks so much for NOT loading my bags in your aircraft today. Thanks to you the sleep apnea machine I need will it arrive u til who knows when. I cannot describe my disappointment when I found out the reason for my luggage not making the flight was because it was too hot in Vegas to load baggage.

Rest assured, when it’s -50 in January, crews here in Canada load bags and don’t let the weather keep passengers from getting their belongings. Last night in SFO I checked in my nephew as an unaccompanied minor and the employees at the terminal would not take him. Not only did they expect me to take him to the gate even though I had 3 little kids they also made us almost miss our flight.

My nephew's flight was 8/15 at 10:30pm flight 762 and when I checked him in they handed me the sealed packet and would not take him. They told us to come back at 9:45p and someone would escort him. We came back and then they said I had to escort him to the gate.

Today is day 26 of my bags still being lost. I have called the baggage number so many times. It is always hard to contact a manager, but the time I did, he ended up hanging up in my face.

I am appalled at the disrespect and sensitivity to a customer who flew business class and had all six bags lost in her party, with only three being located. I would think that it would be a priority to get this issue resolved but it is clear that all Air Canada cares about is money.

Dear Sir, I and my wife (Mrs Amarjit Gill) travelled on AC855/7th August and returned from YYZ on AC 854/16th August. Our booking reference was 24LFO2 and our seats on AC855 were 12A and 12C and on the return flight our seats were 13A and 13C.

My wife booked wheelchair on both flights, but regrettably, I have to say they wheelchair service was extremely poor. Air Canada might be saving some dollars on outsourcing the wheelchair service, but the employee of the private contractor do not consider their duty to serve the handicapped Air Canada passengers.

We wer let down at LHRT Terminal 2 and and at YYZ Terminal 1. We even booked Maple leafe longes at both the airports, but there was no one to take my wife in the wheel chair to the Maple leaf Lounge.

On July 172022 , I had a flight from Athens Greece to Toronto Canada. Toronto was my connection to Atlanta, USA. My flight to Atlanta was 8:55PM, (Air Canada 8959)They delayed the flight three times, in the end the flight was canceled until tomorrow. We had to fend for ourselves without a voucher for the hotel, I paid from my own pocket .I t's not fair because it's not my fault, it's air Canada's fault. I've been trying to get in touch with someone for a month because I want my money back. I am so disappointed in air Canada .And I never want to fly with your company again.

On the flight that I am currently on i have experienced 2 terrible employees. A ticket agent named Cowa (unsure of the spelling) was rude to everyone waiting in line and was overly aggressive with everyone he dealt with. Many passangers complained and when we asked another air canada employee about it they agreed he has a poor attitude.

Then once on the plane I had a flight attendant snap at my wife for not sitting down quickly enough even though we had just began boreding. I am furious with the condition we endured.

I am writing to inform you of rather poor client service and a series of unprofessional incidents that Air Canada was not known for. It was on our recent trip from Toronto to Kolkata round trip in business class by my wife and me.

We paid Air Canada a considerable sum to purchase two business class return tickets from Toronto/Kolkata/ Toronto. Ticket no 0142148863010 and 0142148863011. Booking reference 2EM22H.

On July 24th, we checked only two bags, one of which was my wife's wheelchair and another bag contained all our travel essentials. After landing in Delhi, we received only the wheelchair. Our other bag with a Priority sticker went missing. After numerous calls and emails Air Canada baggage could not find and deliver our bag during our two weeks stay in Kolkata.…

Air hostess Ria aboard flight 137 from YYZ -> YYC was rude and was picking on customers of colour including my husband and myself. We were waiting in queue along with everyone else to exit the plane and were relatively far in front of our seats as there was no space for our handbags, so they were checked in so we didn’t have anything to remove. Ria accused of us rushing and skipping the line.
