On Monday, June 27, 2022 at 10 am, I went into store to purchase several grocery items. When I approached the check out, there were several people standing around with baskets by the counter that is used for bagging. Just above the checkout and under the lane #, the hand written sign said “cash” only.
The clerk checked my items and said “cash only”. It was then that I was told that the system was down the debit/credit cards could not be processed.
First, I was told it would be 10 minutes- then they didn’t know when the system would be running. No options were given and I left the store and a full shopping cart of groceries. Question: why wasn’t a sign placed on the entrance door indicating a problem?
That would have saved me the trouble of shopping only to leave the groceries behind.…
