This used to be my favorite bank. They must have sold or got a new CEO or something. I was trying to send a large wire and instructed at 10 AM Pacific, well before the cuttoff. The wire didn't go out that day and almost cost me the deal.

So I called the following morning and they couldn't figure out what was going on. Seems like total disorganization over there and when I explained my frustrations in a rational calm manner it was like they had heard it 100 times and they were sick of all the disfunction in their organization.

Not blaming the employees, if the processes are broken which results in angry customers I would expect that reaction. That is a symptom of a much larger problem. Looks like I will have to find a new bank. Too bad, I used to really like Ally.

I had established 2 years ago an "AUTO DEBIT" to make my car payment. In the summer of 2022, I was given approval to extend my payments for an additional 2 years. The monthly payment payment was reduced by $130 and change.

However, the monthly text I received was the notice of the original payment was going to be charged. I contacted my bank, Wells Fargo to put a stop payment on the incoming charge, and I was assessed a fee of $31 by Wells Fargo Bank.

00 as if it was going thru an ATM machine. I received my bill for December 2 days ago and it was for the correct amount. I called their "CUSTOMER SERVICE" number and told them to reinstate Auto Debit for the now corrected amount.

By the way, Customer Service is located in the Southern Hemisphere and not in the U. S. They stated they could…

Rep messed up closing of CD and opening of another. Finally got things straightened out through Shawn but still waiting for approval of opening of new CD. You need to train your reps better and also have system set set up so that mistakes like this cannot be made.

My huge complaint which, I still haven’t resolved is as followed: I made a on time payment around Oct 8th- and a automatic withdrawal coincided. I call customer service to have one of the payments stopped and the guy said it wasn’t a problem unless the bank has already processed it, and if they had, just have them stop the payment on there end.

I call the bank all is good. All of a sudden ALLY started pushing payments through after the October 8th payment was made. I don’t know why- allied tried like 6 times and the payment was always returned. It shouldn’t have been processed period- my debit card I had been using for 7 years auto payments was compromised and my bank sent a new card.

I get a letter stating I couldn’t do auto payments any longer for all the returned payments. I didn’t…

My husbands car got repossessed on Tuesday and I’ve been trying for three days to get answers. This was an ally financial issue and our car dealership. Your company had the wrong address on file and we received no billing statements in the mail.

We were mistreated based off of wrong information on your part. I’ve never dealt with a company this awful before and unwilling to help. We cannot afford to pay to be able to get our car back nor should we.

This was a mistake on your part. If you truly stand by your mission statement you would make this right. I am baffled by the lack of compassion by your staff I’ve dealt with the last three days.

I have a large amount of money in Ally bank, and i have been trying to reach them by telephone to upgrade my CDs which are my only source of retirement income, and they refuse to answer the phone. I have had as much as a million dollars at a time in this bank since the first opened and have continually been an established investor since.

I am not a nickle and dime saver but a real investor. For the last two weeks both my wife and I have called everyday, all day trying to talk to a banker about upgrading our CDs. They have a new phone system that will not allow you to talk to a banker, but this is a transaction that must be done with a personal banker and cannot be done on line.

We have filled out forms, left emails as we were instructed with complaints about service, and they have said…

Customer call wait times for incredibly long. Just called and wait time is one hour and 40 minutes. I tried the chat option on line and didn't get a response for 5+ hours. Unfortunately, I was not sitting at my computer at that moment and missed him. I would suggest with such long wait times you get phone numbers to call people back. I found that to work very well when done by other companies.

IRA dept. doesn't have direct line. Get put on hold and never answer after first waiting to get transferred to IRA dept. You have to contact rep on IRA's cannot do anything online. Not enough customer service people.

Con tactted Customer service for an issue I had in the past. I had a payment cancelled even though I had funds on my account. After getting on the phone I was greeted by what seemed like a "exhausted" employee.

Her demeanor was dismissive, her interactions were short and just seems like she just did not want to be dealing with a customer. After 35 minutes on the phone I was able to speak with a supervisor and after explaining the situation and letting them know that i am looking for an extension due to my current situation she processed to mock me and

when she interrupted me while i was talking, I asked to please not interrupt and she proceeded to cut me of clearly out of spite. at that moment I decided to end the call since clearly they were just trying to gas light me.

I have been trying to have my IRA at Ally Bank transferred to another bank since July 29.

First I was told I needed to send in an application to participate, I did that on Aug. 9. ). On called on Aug 15 and was told that the receiving bank didn't sign the form. They had and had a copy of what was sent.

They resent the form Fed Ex with signatures highlighted on Sept 9. I called again on Sept 21 and was told I needed to send an application to participate which I already had done. I filled out another application to participate and sent it Fed ex on Sept 21.

I'll be withdrawing the IRA CD before it matures and will be subject to paying 60 days interest early withdrawal penalty which we both agreed to in the contract. They are clearly just stalling and all forms have been submitted twice.…

I enrolled in Ally Bank on line, and whenever I attempt to sign in, all I get is a black page with a rotating clock symbol.... I have called their help line and all I get is an almost non English speaking woman who is absolutely NO help to me.

This had got to be the absolute worst ebank on the planet.

I work for my city and picked up a extra job for extra money. Deposited a $150 check from a local church and they are holding it because they said " These funds are subject to an extended hold because we have confidential information that indicates that the check may not be paid.

If the check is not paid, we'll notify you by mail. " When I called that said they can't say how they came to this realization that it will not be paid!

I leased a car through Brunswick Auto in Brunswick, Ohio. When the lease was up, I decided to purchase the car outright. I was able to get a better interest rate with another bank instead of going with Ally. The bank that issued the loan sent the pay off amount to Ally.

Ally was supposed to send the title to my bank, which it did not. In the meantime, I am getting letters asking me where the title is because my bank never got it. I have been to my bank multiple times, they have called Ally, but still the issue has not been resolved.

I have also been on the phone with Ally and all I keep getting is the runaround. I am not able to speak to anyone or else if I do, it is not the correct person and I get another number.

When I call that number, I am told that I need to contact someone else.…

0 stars for this piece of crap bank! Pathetic customer service. Average wait time is more than 70 minutes!!! The mobile app doesn't work and locks me out of the account and every time I need to wait 70 or more minutes to reset it.

Ally bank has an over payment (took automatic withdrawal) from my bank and had the full payoff check. I then requested the money back and was informed that it would be 55 days until I got my money back via a check. I will certainly tell all my friends and family not to use ally in the future.

I have my car financed at Ally Bank. I am on a fixed income and owe 11 payments on my car. I wanted to change the due date of my loan and after speaking to at least 3 people I could barely understand, I gave up.

I do not wish to get in an Ally payment plan or any other offer other than to change the date of the loan. Ally has horrible customer service. Times are difficult, especially being on a fixed income. I just want the date changed, not anything else.

Once this loan is paid, I wish to do no other business with Ally Bank.

I have a joint checking account through Ally Bank with my son who is in college. 00) were deducted from the account from a Western Union in San Francisco (we are in Florida). We reported the fraud to Ally Bank immediately. 00.

I asked them how they determined the charges were authorized, because they were certainly not authorized by my son or myself. They said they could not share that information with me. I contacted my local sheriff to report the fraud, and they said in order to open a case I needed to get a fraud affidavit from Ally Bank.

Ally Bank will not provide a fraud affidavit because they are stating we authorized the charges.

I've waited over 1hour every time a try to get money out of my savings account just to get transferred over and over to the wrong people and then you start over again and again. which I no longer have had for 2 years. It's paid.

If I could give this bank a minus five star review I would. A month ago my ATM number was hacked no big deal right? i just have to call the bank and get a different card. Ha ha ha, I have called 4 times and I still don't have access to my money.

every time I call I'm told oh I'll expedite a card to you and you should have it within 4 days. I've decided they are never going to send it to me. If that's not bad enough I explained to one of the girls I talked to that I have zero access to my money and she proceeded to be a judgemental .......

Where do I start. There customers service department is the worse. Incompetent, June 2 Sent a bank check to pay off our loan and USPS over night it and post office took it to 6716 Grade Lane #9 suite 910. Louisville Ky. They closed early. 50 to do so.

Now going on June 6-10 tried to get this to be taken care of, Spoked to vessels, Lee John Anita, Darling Vesina everything was not accomplished any answers . Each have a different story to complete this transaction. They tell you 2 day 3 days to electronically to PA DMV I am reporting this to CEO and Diane M I will get this strength out.

Report to the better business B. Atty General down on Brad. Street. Sad company do not use them

Ally Bank is unreliable "ally" and the fraud team lacks empathy for consumers.

Twice now - not once, TWICE they have locked me out of my account with zero notice. I've had to call them, be on hold for anywhere from 20 minutes - almost 2 hours, and explain my situation and frustration to several different individuals, some of who are empathetic and some of who are total robots. My call was dropped once prompting me to call back and be on hold again too which was not fun.

In early May of this year, I had a situation with 2 checks that ended up being from a scammer (long story short I lost my job and was accepting donations. I put in the wrong password then tried to change my password they locked my account I wanted to make a transfer. Was told that someone would call me in 1,or 2 days. I can’t believe this is how you do Business.

So I have to have my phone with me 24-7 this is not always possible, my husband is in the hospital and I cannot always have my phone on.

I paid my March payment almost 4 weeks early, then get an email it’s late even though it was taken out of my account on 2/17. Without my knowledge they put it on principle not March payment then send me an email 1 day after March payment was due that it is late and if I don’t pay another payment I will be charged a late fee.

The 3 people were so rude and talked down to me like I was to dumb to understand. I will never recommend them.

Case# 56191775 Good Morning I refinance and sold a Toyota Tacoma to CarMax back in Dec 2021, as per Ally C.S.Rep they have receive the CarMax check for the total amount in Jan 12 2022, and is still showing in my Ally profile as I am still responsible to pay the monthly fee witch was due in Feb 6th and I have not pay because truck has been sold already. I been sending emails phone calls etc..etc. and they are just playing the game of stalling and wont help me at all.

I was just called by an Ally representative who said she needed me to give her verifying information in regard to "a matter" with Ally. I asked her to provide something showing the purpose and legitimacy of the call before I gave her the personal information she wanted, such as my mother's maiden name, the last four digits of my Social Security number, and my username.

She became very abrupt with me and said she wouldn't tell me any more information and if I had a problem with it I could hang up. If I hadn't happened to check my email and see an email from Ally about wanting to verify a wire transfer I made, I would have hung up, assuming her to be a scammer.

Please change your system so representatives are able to inform customers that they've received a verifying email.

I have had my ca rapid since 2018 I have requested my title numerous of times. They keep saying the are taking care is the electric lien and everyday they say it should be taken care next day. This I the work customer service I have ever experienced.

They hang up on you no supervisor is ever available and when you request to have one call they don’t. They’ll leave you an the phone for as long as they want until you have no other choice but to Hang up and call back.

Works bank to do business with, never will I finance a car with this bank. I will I could give them a negative 5 star rating

I'm new with Ally and Have already had an extremely bad experience. I keep getting blocked out of my account every time I transfer or deposit money. I'm currently waiting on 2 E-Check deposits (money I desperately need during these hard times) I made several days ago.

The night before the deposit is suppose to be made Ally Locks my account and I can no longer access anything. I did as I was prompted and called customer service. I was told that the department I needed was gone for the say and to call back.

I sold my vehicle and a Check Refund was sent to me due to overpayment. I deposited the Ally Bank check and it bounced. 00 returned fee. 00 bank fee. I faxed everything to them showing the bounced Ally Bank Check on October 9th, 2021.

Was told a new check should arrive in 7-10 days. 2 months later nothing. I called again, went through the entire conversation again. Ally Bank Representative requested all documentation again, which I supplied again, they still haven't acknowledged their mistake and it's 2 months later.

I'm out money and their check bounced. This is criminal! 5 hours. I was told a new check would be issued today, then put on hold again, then a fraud form needed to be filled out... This is ridiculous!!!

I have been waiting for over 80 days for Ally to send me the ownership papers on a leased vehicle that I bought from them. I followed the buyback directions, sent a cashiers check with the appropriate ID numbers and it has been cashed.

NO one ever answers the listed phone number. I have written multiple letters to no avail and do not understand why NO one ever calls back and no written correspondence comes explaining the issue. I need to register myself as the owner and pay California sales tax.

It is amazing that a company can be licensed in the USA and have no professional staff. My son thinks I have been scammed and that Ally must be a bogus, fictional entity.

My car was towed by peak towing a towing company for Ally. They towed my BMW on a regular tow truck. (you can't tow a bmw on a regular tow truck. My security camera captured the whole process. I got the car, the next day.

Because of being dragged for 30 miles. My dashboard sensors indicated THAT ABS, BRAKES AND EMERGENCY BRAKES need attention. My car was fine prior to being towed.

I paid off my car in 2017. I gave them $17,500 dollars cash. Instead of sending me the title, they put the title in their name (confirmed through the DMV)! Now they act like they never heard of me. Phone service sucks, static on the line sounds like someone eating chips in the wind and rain. Outright criminal behavior.

I work for Steiden Law Office. I was calling on behalf of a mutual client, Rickey and Karen banks who we represent in a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Case. I called on 8-10-2021 and dialed out to Ally at 11:44 AM.

A man by the name of Kundan was the representative who answered. He was extremely rude, unprofessional and clueless to what he was doing and refused to help. Our client was discharged from their Bankruptcy mid July, according to the courts and our records, their car was paid in full and the lien release or title should be sent to the client.

Ally bank will keep your deposits on a 5-day hold if your account has a history of overdrafts. So because my account has overdrafted by a few dollars one or two times, I cannot access a rather large deposit that would enable me to eat and pay my bills.

It actually feels like they steal your money for 5 days. There is no fee you can pay them, no amount they can charge, that will enable their robot-like customer service agents to modify the policy that they created. It’s such fucking shit.

I hate Ally bank and regret opening an account with them. Their fees may be lower, but they more than replace fees with draconian, personally harmful policies that will cause me to literally go without food for 5 days. It’s this game of pretending like my overdraft somehow caused the bank so much pain…

With my parents recent passing, Ally bank is treating my transfer of funds from my parents ally savings account to my parents estate account at a different bank as a fraudulent activity. In speaking with ally's fraud and legal department, they treated me as if I had done something wrong and showed no remorse for my parents passing which was just 20 days ago. As soon as my accounts are unfrozen, I will immediately move all of my money out of Ally bank to a different bank and never use them again!

Not even a 1 star! I have had my car paid off for a month and there was an over payment of over $2000. At first (by several different people) I was told it would take 18 days after the payment posted for them to send me my refund then when I call after it should of been mailed out I am told it is 18 days after the title is released which was the day before I called.

Now if it were them they would either turn me over or come get my car but since they own me money they want to take forever. This is not good business by no means. 1

My vehicle was a Total Loss in 10/19 progressive Insurance sent a check for the Payout in Dec/19 I'v spoken with Numerous Ally customer service people and all they can tell me is that Ally has a new system their installing, Now when I try to call to find out the progress it keeps me on Hold for 30 mins then sends me to VM. My vehicle was taken from an accident to a towing service yard. I released the vehicle to my insurance company for adjuster review & vehicle repair. I went online to make my monthly Ally payment and was directed to Customer Service.

Ally was notified of the accident and somehow accidentally tagged my vehicle as a voluntary repossession; demanded I make a cash payment in person at a Walmart to ‘release’ my car from repo status. What??!! Over a period of 2 HOURS, I talked to Customer Service, Collections Dept, Repo Dept & Redemption Dept then back to Customer Service.

Called for a payoff on my truck, gave me the exact payoff for that day and the amount if I paid it off within 10 days . Went online paid that amount. I printed out the payoff and now they say I still owe, because the payment is due on the 24th of January.

I made the payoff on December 27th. RIPOFF PEOPLE!
