The customer service sucks. Called their 800 number to speak to a rep regarding one of their contractors to fix my air conditioning unit. I submitted a request or service on , Thurday, Aug,12. The contractor called me at 7am on Friday, Aug 13 and left a message.

I returned the contractors' call at 9:30 am and then called again at 3pm with no response all weekend, Then the contractor calls at 6:55am this morning, Aug 16, I informed the contractor that I had a 10:30 appt and would not return home till around noon. Buyers Beware! This company is a big scam and needs to be investigated and taken down considering all the horrible business practices it does to all of its customers. Our washer machine broke down over a month ago and American Home shield (AHS) sent A&E Factory Service contractor on 7/10/21 contract # 76850127 & contract # 79736817 on 7/25/21 to fix our washer machine but

due to the age of the washer unit, the parts could not be found or ordered and according to AHS policy they will be required to replace the washer machine. AHS did not do so and their excuse was we did not receive the diagnostic report from A&E Factory Service.

I've had a continuous contract with American Home Shield (AHS) for about a decade. My dishwasher is broken so I paid $80.06 (Dispatch $75 + tax) for the service call per my contract.

The AHS contractor came out several times attempting to repair the dishwasher, ordered and installed parts that did not fix the problem. On the last visit after installing 2 parts the repairmen told me the GE dishwasher had to be replaced. That was about 2 weeks ago. I've heard nothing from American Home Shield to date about the repair or replacement of the dishwasher. I am 86 years old. Amrican Home Shield has terrible customer relations communication. The company is so big that they provide no way for a customer to talk to any official. The repair department for anything goes to multiple call centers around the world.

The people speak broken engish and will hang up on you if you have complaints. The have no supervisors or they just refuse for you to talk to them. Then is you are needing something fixed in the pan handle of Florida get in line.

There is one company they use. I have had to pay for my laundry to be cleaned for over a month. The company S&S appliance called this morning after a month and canceled my appointment for repair. This company doesnt care about their customers.

I simply want my dishwasher to work or to be replaced as per my contract with AHS. Having the same repair technician come that does the same thing every visit is not resolving the issue. How can I get my AHS warranty to cover an authorized Samsung repair service to either 1) fix the dishwasher, or 2) have it replaced. Notes on all calls below.

I had a need for a leaky pipe to be repaired. I opened a request with Home shield under my contract and a contractor was assigned to come to my home between 10 am and 4pm EST. After waiting until 4:15 pm, I contacted the contractor and was informed that the plumber was running late and no arrival time could be confirmed. I told the contractor that I would contact American Home Shield to determine my options. The contractor was contacted by American home shield and informed that I cancelled the request. I spoke with three individuals from American home shield and explained my situation and I was told that I should attempt to re-schedule another appointment with the same contractor. We have been without air conditioning for going on 3 weeks. The company doesn’t want to pay for a new unit because it is cheaper for them to offer us a “cash out” option. The heat index is between 105-110 degrees.

The whole MO of American Home Shield is to try to wait the customer out so they won’t have to pay the the repairs. The lie about contacting the contractor who has sent us receipts for HIM contacting them still with NO RESPONSE!

I have been waiting since the end of May, it is now August to get a repair/replacement on my a/c unit. Supposedly they are waiting on a part but can’t tell me the tracking number of when the part is expected to arrive. I call everyday.

They refuse ( or he/she wont return my call) to escalate to a supervisor who can track my claim. At one point AHS and the repair contractor were pointing the finger at each other. I am beyond frustrated with the inefficiencies of this company and it’s inability to bring resolution to a Customer.

Service with American Home Sheild has gotten terrible. I have been a customer for over 10 years and had never had a problem in the past. I called on 3 separate appliances. My dishwasher (worn out control panel), cooktop( 3 of 5 knobs are broken) and microwave (digital screen is fading away).

My air conditioner broke and flooded part of my house and it took 3 different contractors to fix it. The first allege company, called Yantra air, was a senior citizen that came with his wife and was caught by my security camera leaving with parts of the AC and he never showed back up to complete the job.

Meanwhile it took 10 days for the 2nd contractor, called AAA appliances, to come and stopped the leak and fixed the broken pipe, but didn’t actually fixed the AC. They also falsified the report and said he only changed a dirty filter.

Contract #29440377 - I placed a service call on 8/2/21 for the control panel on my pool. The board that operates the panel was not working. I specifically asked your agent if the board needed to be replaced would it be covered.

She assured me it would be. When the repair person came to my home on 8/4/21 he confirmed it needed to be replaced but said it is not covered by AHS. Pool pump went out in Tucson,AZ on july 13, contractor was assigned quickly came on july 16th. Contractor determined new pool pump motor was needed and got AHS authorization that afternoon. On july 23 i noticed online dashboard said awaiting authorization.

I called and spoke to supervisor. Supervisor and myself determined contractor could get part quicker and contractor agreed. On july 27, noticed online dashboard still said awaiting authorization, called contractor and was told AHS said nevermind about contractor supplying part and AHS would now.

Spoke to 2 different supervisors with nothing solved. Its aug 7 and part has still not shipped and AHS supervisors will not return my calls.

I requested service back in 2020 for my refrigerator because it was not cooling. A repairman one came twice and did something, and it worked. Now a year later it is still not cooling. Elite came 3 times: 1) just to check and "order a part" 2) brought the "part" - still not working 3) to "top off" the Freon. It is still not working.

I am unhappy with the Elite as well as AHS. This refrigerator is beyond repair and they keep doing temporary fixes. Meanwhile I am loosing food each time they "repair" it then it stops cooling/freezing.

I have asked more than once for new refrigerator. I was told by AHS that the repairman has to diagnose it and Elite keeps trying to fix it and will not "diagnose" it as unrepairable. He told me that he does not get paid for all of this trips AND he cannot tell…

Good morning,My name is Antoinette Bell, I’ve been with AHS, for some years abs never have been treated so unprofessionally. the technician that was assign to us wasn’t picking up the phone. We called him for 24 hours so we canceled the service.

We call AHS 29 times trying to get someone out here to fix the refrigerator. We had to throw all of our food in the trash. Then we notice they would never send us a confirmation because, that a log so out of those 29 times we have two confirmations as if we only called twice.

I filed my claim on June 28 for my clothes dryer it could not be fixed so they ordered a new one two different dates they've given me for delivery they did not call me nor did they show up with my dryer it has been well over a month I still have no dryer I've spent two days waiting for it to be delivered I'll wait for it not to show up. I requested service for a bad cooktop in May 2021, paid the deductible and waited until June for the service visit. It was determined that the cost of the repairs warranted replacement of the cooktop. AHS immediately sent an email for me to reach out to select the new cooktop.

When I contacted them they said with the current shortage of appliances they would offer to send me a check for the cooktop saying it would be July before one would be available through their supplier. I researched the cooktop and found one locally but just the cost of the same cooktop was $600 more than AHS was offering and that did not include the installation of the new cooktop.

I placed a service request on July 23, 2021 for my air conditioner. As of todays date, my air conditioner has NOT been repaired. I was told that American Home Shield had to order the part and send it to the contractor, which is ridiculous!

as this causes more delays in the repairs. I was patient while waiting for the part to be delivered to the contracted air conditioning company and today I was told by the contractor that American Home Shield sent the part that was ordered to another state.

An initial repair order was open on March 29, 2021 for my Air Condition Unit that was not cooling. American Home Shield (AHS) sent out a technician on March 31, 2021, service request #56809247 from Total Air Care Inc. 1004 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32065 (904) 282-5050.

The technician arrived that afternoon and informed me that my freon was low and I would have to pay the out of pocket cost of $98 for 1 lb. of freon and no other repairs were conducted. I paid the Technician for the freon and was charged to my credit card.

We have been with out air conditioning for over a month. We have had temperatures up to 115 degrees and consistently over 100 . We have been unable even after numerous phone calls, to find out why the conditioner parts have not arrived at salyers to be installed.

To whom it may concern: I have been a customer with AHS since 2006 with a little break in between. When I rented for a year. My address is 5155 Spanish Oaks Dr, Lakeland FL 33805. I did a service request online, Sunday 07/25/2021 for my hot water heater.

We contacted home shield on 07/16/21 about our ac not working, a tech from ATR was out on the 21st diagnosed it and found the blower motor was bad. We've contacted the service company and AHS many times, we've gotten broken promises, told no manager could be reached, and would call us back. This has not happened!!

With temperatures in the 90s and higher we asked in we could purchase 2 low cost window units, until this could be resolved, said manager would need to make that decision,never received a call! Today I've been on the phone bouncing between AHS and ATR and no resolution has been reached.

I reported over a year ago that our cooktop stove needed repair. A service agent came out at that time and reported that he had to order that parts. However; he determined that that entire unit needed replacing . We have been at home during this pandemic without the use of our stove. I called AHS several times and talked to representatives. I got the same message each time. The message”we will give you an update within 24 hours”. Nothing has been done yet.

Secondly, we reported that our AC unit is not working. We are in 92-101 degree temperature. An agent came out. and give a quote. AhS requested another contractor . So we are still in heated home. I called for service on my air conditioner not cooling on 6/17/2021. American Home Shield contacted me on Monday 6/21 stating the contractor assigned could come out Saturday, which I said was unacceptable and they contacted another contractor that could come out the next day.

The contractor came out 6/23 stated the Freon was low and added it $220. The air conditioner worked for approximately 4 days. American Home Shield sent the contractors out again 6/29 and they ran test with nitrogen and dye and a soapy substance to try and see where the leak was.

I have been trying to speak to a supervisor for over 2 weeks regarding getting my washing machine fix. I have never experienced such bad customer service in my life! There call center is over sea’s and I have spent hours trying to speak to a supervisor.

First of All, I wouldn't give any stars if I could!!!!!!!!!

I called on 7-3-21 requested service for tankless water heater. As of 7-27-21 I get the same response that it is still in the authorization department.

Final straw is last Friday, I was assured someone from upper management would be calling me back, (this has been told after each call I’ve made for at least a week), and my realtor called and they promised her they would assign another company to come out. Still NOTHING.

Also, was blatantly LIED too. Said that Contractor refused to call the authorization department. We have contacted AHS, on numerous occasion to be informed of the same information continuously and it’s time for that to change and provide results. We’re fully aware that in March, 2021, we declined the option, and continue to hear that each and every time we call, but never here the fact that we recanted that decision as request our AC to be repaired.

48 hrs is the time they gave us on someone contacting us to fix our ac unit. It is summer time 90-100 with 80% humidity and now 5 days later with no fix and just a run around with customer service I'm still waiting. I plan on cancelling soon as possible

I have an American Home Shield warranty and submitted two requests. (1) HVAC pipe draining slowly and (2) a bathroom pipe leak. The HVAC technician showed up, looked at the situation, and said that he did not have the equipment to blow out the drain pipe and that I could put bleach in it.

He left without providing any repair work. The plumber showed up, looked at the leaky pipe, and stated that he did not do that type of repair. He left after 5 minutes. American Home Shield has a couple of phone numbers that go to the same place for complaints.

Contact Us goes to the same place. Their phone number goes through options that take minutes to route you to a person who "has to look into it" and asks that you call back in 2-3 days. Chat is not much better.

My a/c broke down 7/9/21. Called AHS right away. Las Vegas temp then was 115. We went to a hotel as the temp in the house was 105. Called AHS daily for status but different agents told me no contractor available until I was given permission to find my own technician.

Technician fixed my a/c 7/15. I will file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau for AHS to refund to me the service fee and diagnostic charges I paid. More details on my letter to BBB.

I have been a customer for about 15 years. This past year, we got a renewal notice for our contract and was billed for a quarter where we normally were billed monthly. I called, the person said we were hundreds of dollars behind. This is not possible.

I paid though and asked to be invoiced monthly. I continued to get notices of hundreds of dollars over due. Even the payment history you have on your site shows we have paid over $600 so far and it is only July whereas the total contract amount for the year is around $800.

I get daily phone calls (which I don't answer anymore). I wrote to corporate headquarters to the address on the internet that states it is corporate address and the letter was returned unopened saying it was not deliverable. I'll continue to pay monthly until my full…
