First service request has been a complete nightmare. ALL departments are handled overseas and handled very poorly. There is zero follow-up by AHS to confirm the contractor actually showed or completed the work. If replacement is required, AHS must wait to receive a work order from the contractor.

If the contractor doesn't file a work order for a replacement, NOTHING IS DONE. I have been waiting for 3 WEEKS to get a fan replaced. I've place dozens of calls to AHS only to get the run around or be placed on hold for 15 to 20 minutes.

I am VERY disappointed and will discontinue the service as soon as this claim is settled. ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY! The company is poorly run.

This is the worst company. It has been three months beginning in July that I requested repair of my HVAC unit. It is now October and after three months and three different contractors, replacement of the compressor, generator and reversing valve my unit is still not working.

The representatives are incompetent, rude and useless. They refuse to offer a buy out or replacement. As of today they're in search of yet another contractor to diagnose the problem that three contractors were unable to fix. Their follow up is non-existent.

I've spent numerous hours on the phone on calls I've initiated to no avail. I now have no alternative but to wait for yet another contractor or engage an attorney to sue. Do yourself a favor and go with any other company.

Had an A/C problem during the summer. Called AHS to seek assistance in having problem resolved. Was put in contact with a contractor and met on following Monday. The contractor added coolant into the system and stated this procedure would work for immediate relief from the summertime heat.

Upon being summon a second time, approximately 2 weeks later, was advised that there was a leak and coolant with a dye was added into the unit lines in an attempt to locate the location of a leak(s). The third trip my wife and I were informed of the leak(s) and location(s).

I signed up in January 2016. I was on a month to month basis for around $32 month. I noticed over the years my monthly automatic payment kept increasing. 99 for quite some time. 00 call fee and took several days to even come out. 99 .

Apparrently not only did American Home Shield constantly raise my rates but they changed the contract to include a cancellation fee. I never agreed to any of this.

We had a problem with our air conditioning ,AHS assigned 19May 2019 sent Family Heating and cooling out they put in 3 lb of coolant . They said could not do anything else as you would not authorized a check for leak

It happen again a week ago 24 September2019 . We made an appointment fir service call , you assign to it Mason Mechanical. They came out and they put in one pound of coolant and Mason called AHS in front of us and again AHS would not authorized checking where the leak was. This is only a 3 yr old unit and should not be losing Coolant .

In the previous year, I paid the monthly fee faithfully to be covered by American Home Shield warranty service and never filed a claim.

However, this month (October 3, 2019), my microwave oven ( over the cook top) was in need of repair. I called AHS to request an appointment for a repair contractor to address the issue. On the next day, a couple of (so called repairmen from EJ's Appliance Repair) arrived at my house.

They had no branded apparel (uniforms), no ID badges and no signage on their vehicle. They proceeded to go through the motions of testing the microwave oven, and then stated that the microwave would have to be removed and taken in for bench testing.

My refrigerator gave out and cannot be fixed. It’s a French door. They offered $1300 to replace if we take the buyout. They offered to give us one at no cost to us but it’s not the same color, it’s not the same size.

The new ones are too deep and the door will hit our island. After explaining this I was told my contract only covers a unit close to ours. We are screwed. Been with AHS for over ten years. Once this is replaced I’m canceling. Cheapest company around.

Employees are rude, don’t care and have treated us with such disrespect. It’s basically “take it or go away”. Well I’m going away but I will make sure I let everyone know how AHS screws their customers over.

I am very dissatisfied with the service at AHS! I filed a claim and it took 3 weeks for the contractor to get the part. When I tried to call The Repair Clinic numerous times they never answered their phones.

I finally received a text message that they will come to my house the next day 12 - 5pm. The next day I received a call from them and they told me I had to call them back within 5 minutes or they would not come to my house.

I had my mother sitting at the house all day. I was at work and called them 10 minutes later and no answer. When I finally got them at 455pm, Patrick was rude and very nasty with me. He told me it was my fault.

It took 1 month to get my refrigerator fixed. It wasn't until I threatened to cancel all 3 AHS accounts that I was made an offer to rent one. Food was lost as well as the expense of eating out for an entire month!

Please credit my account for this service and reimburse me for a months worth lost food. I stayed on the phone almost daily trying to resolve the issue and had to reschedule time to be there on 3 occasions. If properly handled, rental of the refrigerator should have been offered after the first weeks delay.

I scheduled a service call. They insisted on a 4 hour window, which means I had to take the entire day off. No one called or rang my door bell. I latter see a guy on my security camera sitting on my stairs smoking a cigarette and plucking ashes on my stairs.

I call customer service, their was a basic English communication problem. They will never provide a manager name or allow you to speak to one. They left me on hold twice for over 15 minutes and never returned. I still have not recieved service.

This has been the worse customer service that I’ve ever experienced.

Call due to wasn't able to log on, and to request service. Cust Service had a heavy accent, hard to understand. they were not able to answer question. when asked for supervisor, directed me to Live Chat. I told live chat what service i needed, she referred me to my contract.

I submitted a service request on my home for electrical problems (no power to certain parts of house ) . He stated wires are crumbling and falling apart and cannot be repaired and the wires has to be replaced in order to repair the outlets.

00 and the claim was denied Based on the contract wear and tear is covered. I spoke with several associates they all said this is a modification to the house which is nonsense. They even told me that the electrician said it was ware and tare.

I have an open work order and can not get a straight answer as to status. I have personally called AHS 4 times and have been given different answers everytime! I have been placed on hold for more than an hour waiting for a supervisor and have been hung up on.

In addition, there is inaccurate information placed in your note system regarding what I have been told. I can not get anyone in America at the corporate office always routed to the Philippines. I need to receive accurate information and be able to have a conversation regarding repair.

By Far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been on off the phone with customer service for over an hour in regards to my mom's washing machine. Cannot get a supervisor. My mom has been out of a washing machine for 3 months now and they still continue to prolong the repairs. They keep sending technicians to come out and look at the broken machine and keep repairing parts, instead of just giving her the replacement check to get a new washing machine. July 2019 I called about my airhandler not keeping the set temperature. ASH provided the contact info for the first company. That person came out and said they do not handle boiler systems.

However that tech closed the ASH work order as complete when nothing was done. I called AHS and they had to confirm with the company the ticket is really not complete. Once they got confirmation what I stated was not lie AHS reopened the ticket and gave me a second company.

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired, I have been calling and returning calls to AHS in an effort to renew my contract. I have been placed on hold for in excess of 45 minutes, and told by more than one representative that they did not know who to contact regarding lodging a complaint.

I have been an AHS client for over twenty (20) years and have enjoyed the service you provide. Recently (as of August 2019) when my account was up for renewal, I made my payment on line as I have done for the last 20 years.

Sent out a company who recommended new ac unit and a plumbing company for condensation leak. AHS declined new unit since ours was functioning (constantly). I called AHS to get a plumbing company out but they have to verify with ac company that it can't be fixed.

We have had two issues at our household (refrigerator and garage door opener). We are still dealing with the first issue of the refrigerator and it is now two weeks and we still have received our replacement refrigerator. Now, our garage door won't open and we cannot open it manually.

Called AHS and they assigned a contractor to come out, however it takes 24-48 hours for service. We have a local guy that is willing to come out today and trying to find out from customer service if they would reimburse us the charges.

The subcontracted copany the American Himesheild uses Plumbers incorporated send a technician named Rueben he did not complete the job. The fixture is not turning and there is no water coming out. He said he was going to replace the valve .

Than he replaced the stem. He was holding onto the fixture while turning it. While he was testing it to see if it worked properly. He also pulled up his T shirt in a in appropriate manner ! I told him that offended me.

I put in a trouble call on September 21, 2019 for my garage door opener. I received notification that ACE's Garage Door Repair would be at my house on September 23, 2019 between the hours of 5-9 PM. Around 8:15 PM I called ACE garage door repair to confirm that the technician will still be arriving. I was told yes.

I've been on the phone over 15 times for more than 9 hours over the span of 3 months with American Home Shield in regards to an issue with my pool's saltwater cell. They've given me 5 false reasons why it's not covered, been told by multiple people that it should and would be covered and even had one rep guarantee me that she'd make sure it gets covered.

I have the same problem as many others have. 00. AHS has given zero toward any repairs. When they were contacted my wife had to argue with them as I was in bad shape as my Asma was high and I could hardly breathe.

They finely got some out there, it was two dates later. We were told that the unit was built in the 1990s. 00 to me, also that the freon could not and would not be used after December 2019 per government orders.

This meant that the money spent would be gone with no benefit. I then decided and talked to AHS and ask them to just give the money that the parts they would have to get would cost. Their reply was we will get the parts and you pay the excess.

I called in a work order on 9/28/19 because our A/C was not working and a technician was sent out on Monday 9/30/19. Monday the technician came out Monday and looked at the unit and determined what the problem was.

Today is Wednesday, my family and I have been without air since Saturday 9/28/19. When I signed up for AHS, I paid the required fee and I have also paid the service fee. Our average temperature in our house during the day is 83 degrees and 87 - 89 degrees at night.

I am not happy with the recent service provided concerning my master bedroom ceiling fan. B & M Electric reported that the fan needed to be replaced as the previous company A to Z Electric either dropped the fan or installed it incorrectly, and refused to return to address the problem.

AHS chose to ignore B & M and close the case. I am stuck with a fan that I cannot use and they don't seem to care. A to Z Electric sent a 22 year old unlicensed young man to install my ceiling fan and he either installed it incorrectly, or according to B & M Electric, he dropped the fan prior to installing it.

Contacted AHS to rekey my new home. The locksmith they sent out took off all the locks, and then couldn't rekey, put the locks back, or complete the job. He had to go to Home Depot for a different pair of pliers, complained that the lighting was bad (he used my husband's workbench), didn't have the correct glasses, and said he just didn't know how to work on these locks. He actually took a photo of the lock, sent it to a friend/locksmith in Southern California who said he might be able to walk him through the procedure. I now had a house with no locks on my doors. I told him to leave. He was there more than 4 hours.

I then hired my own locksmith who finished the job in 1 1/2 hours.

I had an American Home Shield warranty from December 2018. I called for service for my refrigerator this past July and was referred to a repair service for this. I never received a call for an appointment. I called customer service who were unable to contact the repair service.

I contacted a local service to repair my refrigerator and tried to cancel my contract retroactively from inception. I received a phone call from your repair service 11 days after requesting a repair for my refrigerator and was told they had computer problems. 32 would be reversed.

Customer Services is terrible they don't know what they're doing. Put customer on Hold too much and too Long. Contract is easy to get into but HELL to get out of It should be easy to cancel a contract no matter WHY!!!!

I will never do business with American Home Shield or Referrals!!!!!

ongoing issue with Samsung refrigerator repair. On the last visit 8/26 the Sears Technician (Martin M) ordered a Printed circuit board p/n DA94-02663A which is still on order supposedly, even though the part shows immediate availability from Amazon. Please provide status of the service order and the part you ordered. COM

We have been having trouble with our hot water heater about since about a month after we moved in. The hot water heater is putting black dots in the bathtubs on our dishes. I have called American Home Shield to get some kind of satisfaction because we already spent $150 to have them come out two times and still have not in satisfied.

We also paid $75 for them to come out and look at the dishwasher because we were having an issue with black spots on the dishes same answer they couldn't find anything wrong. So now I need them to come out again because I'm furious because it's the hot water heater that needs to be replaced and they are more or less just giving us the run-around so

they don't have to replace the what hot water heater I have used American Shield several times when I purchased…

I called I had emergency hot water heater was leaking water was running through the floor and water was coming through the neighbors ceiling downstairs a through their light the guy said when I called home shield he couldn't t get anyone for 24-48 hours that's B's when you have emergency

Had 2 Appointments,,,,,they never came, and they did not call during the 8-12 time....and never came or called at all the second time 8-12 today.

The contractor, Corp16, called the Offices of AHS and cancelled today's appt because they do not have the part according to the Phillipino Office---BUT THE ahs the Georgia Office says they see nothing about that.....no one called us....but what were they going to do on Monday the first time with the wrong part!!!!!!!!!!! $56.00/mo for what?

RUN AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though I was calling AHS because something in my home wasn't working right, I didn't mind the call because the representatives were capable of understanding my problem and getting it solved. I used to reach representatives located in Arizona, but now every time I call in, I reach someone in the Philippines.

I have Filipino friends, but when I am making a business call to solve a problem, I don't want there to be any language barriers. Those representatives do not live in our culture and they can't understand how we use our words nor the structure of our sentences.

They use SOOO many words to reassure us they "understand the problem and can definitely help with that" that by the time I get off the call, I am exhausted from listening to so many words! S. for better communication…
