This is the second time I have requested services to be told that my contract doesn't cover all of the problem. I am never able to speak with management nor does the contractor discuss the actual finding/results/problem. They call in and then I am told it is not cover.

Majority of the time it is not covered because the contractor DOES NOT want to do the work for what AHS is actually paying them. I am disappointed that I now have to pat BEFORE the services are rendered/completed. Each year the same contract somehow changes and the cost goes up.

I am so disappointed with AHS. I have had to call out for the same issue several times and never get the same contractor. One contractor messed a bathroom up didn't tell me what they did. I discovered it when I had someone else outside of AHS to…

I requested the service through American home shield for termite inspection. According to my contract, I need to pay 200 dollars service fee. I was billed from terminix for 433 dollars. I payed the 200 dollars, but now I am billed for 233, and the bill was past due so was transferred to a collection agency.

As I spoke to the terminix billing representative they said that I shouldn’t be billed for this but they couldn’t get their money from AHS that’s why they are billing me now. This is wrongful billing and it’s illegal since I am not responsible financially toward terminix.

99 since May. I contacted them and customer service said they raised prices nationwide. I said I never got a notification and asked for refund, she said she cannot, i asked to speak with a manager, i was kept on hold for nearly 20 minutes.

I called again the next day, went through the exact same scenario again was put on hold. The next day I get a notice in the email that my contract was canceled and I had to pay some early termination fees.

On 9/15/2019 I made a service request via telephone for my air condition/heating unit to be stored. 00 service fee. 00 at which time I did not have. Therefore I requested that the repairs not be done along with the freon. 00. 00 service fee.

00 service fee being recalled or waived however; I was informed that AHS hands were tied in regards to this issue. 00 service fee upon not being able to negotiate with Bennett Electric on my behalf. This is not the first time that I have had a bad experience with Bennett Electric.

I had my AC repaired and the Evaporator Coil need to be cleaned. I called on Friday 9/20/19 with the service tech AHS and was told that my evaporator coil was covered and he did not need to rewrite the invoice that he could repair it.

The tech had to reschedule and come back to do the work. I got a call from his office and was told that AHS said it wasn't covered. Then I called on 9/20/19 to AHS and was told it wasn't covered.

Mind you most of the people you will speak to barely speak English and are very difficult to understand not to mention how long it takes to get a hold of a live person. 00 to get my AC repaired (Evaporator Coil).

I have had a repair pending for approximately a month. It was switched from one vendor to one who supposedly could offer quicker service. I have had two technicians come out after having to wait on parts and each time it was determined the parts were defective.

After the last attempt a week ago, I have been unable to get a status of the repair. My patience has worn thin. I need so answers now.

I have been a loyal customer for a few years now. I made contact to file a claim of an issue with my refrigerator. The contractor was assigned. His diagnosis were wrong as I figured and advised him during the repair.

A few days later I made another call to AHS to report problem wasn't resolved. Contractor came back out to assess againn stated a parted would be ordered. I had no response for one week. I reached back out to AHS n was told part is being ordered.

I asked for some type of refund due to all my food spoiling. I was told no and no manager could speak with me. I called contractor a few days later to be told AHS canceled. I asked for a manager at AHS and was hung up on.

I am really looking into another company for my warranty. This us unacceptable.

My service request has been open since 9/6/19 with no resolution in sight. I haven't had my refrigerator in almost a month. They have sent two incompetent repairmen to my home and it's still not fixed. The newest request #525084632 is with a provider who sounds drunk or on drugs when you try to communicate with him.

AHS - American Home Shield first sent us their sub contractor upon opening a service request. After making several calls and leaving 3 voice messages they finally called back after 3 days and said they do not service refrigerators. Then we called back and the sent another company.

Same thing after repeated calls and leaving voice messages they gave an appointment. Tech showed up and said he cannot do anything and AHS will not cover anything because it is old Fridge and to call LG directly to see if they can help.

Called LG support and they said Fridge is covered and they will send certified tech and he will replace the compressor free they will charge 125 service fee and 250 labor. Called AHS to cover the labor cost and they said they will not pay anything.

Since Monday 9/15/19 my air conditioning is broken, I talked numerous times with Customer service, claim Department and supervisor, and it is over, way over 48 hours and no one ever called me back or came out to check on it. Amerivan homeshield promised me call backs, nothing.

And the air was fixed before so I'm still in my replacement 60 day warrenty time. After this incident i eill change the insurance, that is not customer friendly ot even customer service.

I had a leak and I placed a call for my water heater on 9/10/19 as an emergency. They sent a plumber the same day and told me it was going to be replaced in 24 hours, but failed to turn the water off.

My water heater is on the second floor and water leaked for three days into my kitchen. Every time I call they pushed the appointment further back. Today is 9/19/19 and as of now no one has called and I have no clue when the waterheater will be replaced.

I have had one of the most displeasurable experiences of my life recently in dealing with American Home Shield. I made a service request back on July 17, 2019 it is now September 18, 2019 and the problem has still not been completely resolved.

It started off as the Oven needing a repair. Supposidly waiting for the vendor to order the part that was needed. 1 month goes by before they finaly said that they were going to replace the oven, becuase the part was not available.

Well it has been another month of back and forth with a new vendor to deliver and install the new oven.

First they said they did not have instructions to install.

Second attempt they said that it was the wrong size.

Third attempt they said they had not instructions to install again. Now I am waiting for the 4th…

I requested service on my stove through AHS on 9-9-2019. The representative did not come out until 9-11-2019. Then we were told that they had to order a part. The control panel had to be ordered and would take 7 days, which would have been Tuesday 9-17-2019. The part has still not arrived.

09-19-2019 I called AHS and was told that the part may be here by 09-25-2019. Now we are talking a GE Profile Stove. I looked on line under GE select parts and found i could have the part here in two days. So, we have been without a stove for 10 days because AHS orders their parts in bulk. Or so I was told. No one can explain why it is taking so long. AHS customer service obviously is not worried about it.

The vendor(MSC Bell Cow) you used to my compressor and inside coils did the job incorrectly and has contaminated my lines and messing up my system completely and your company only wants to replace the condenser which will not fix the issue at all. Called for service for AC unit and had tech come to our house on Aug 21. A compressor is needed, and claim was sent in. It is Sept 19 and still nothing done. AHS states the part was ordered on Sept 7 (not sure why the delay in ordering).

AHS is unable to provide a tracking number for the part. I have placed several calls to AHS and assured this would be looked into and I would get a call back as when to expect delivery so my unit can be fixed.

No one returns our calls to follow up and when I call back, I have to go through the same story. The representative is doing their job but make it extremely difficult to speak to a manager. The representative also has difficulty getting supervisor or purchasing department on the line.

AHS = American Home Shield A Horrible Scam

This isn't really news, but another (somewhat wordy) story about why you should put money in your savings account rather than towards an annual contract with this company. We live in Texas, where it's common to have two A/C units for two story homes. Our second unit, for the upstairs where we have three bedrooms, went out on a Saturday, September 7th. A call was put into AHS for a urgent service since the unit was out. Since we have two units, it wasn't considered an emergency by AHS, but it was 90+ degrees in rooms where we sleep. But, they did book a company, company #1. When I called the company, the dispatcher (or person who takes weekend calls) was “rude” to put it mildly. She had absolutely no desire to help us. My refrigerator and Cook top range issues have not been resolved. It has been more than 3 weeks and I have been calling them almost everyday. The associates stick to the same story that they will take this personally and get back to me by the end of the day.

The end of the never comes and it is back to square one again. Once I called 6 times in a row to get to an escalation specialist and he told me the same story. He never called me back.

Everyone apologizes but I don't need their apologies, I need things to be resolved. Very poor communication and not worth your money and time.

I called on 9/16 in the am to request service at 9300 Sienna Ridge for the refrigerator, the tenant contacted me to let me know that he has not received a call from Vector appliance. I called vector appliance whet they answered the phone she did not ask who I was or why I was calling, just rudely said I am driving and can't talk, So I replied I would just call the home warranty company no worries.

When I reached AHS she told me that she would find another contractor and would call me back the very same day, it was getting late in the day so I called. They failed to find a contractor for the well pump at a rental I have in St. Johns, Florida. Customer service said they had up to 72 hours to get one. In the meantime my tenants are without water. After waiting a day I insisted to speak to a supervisor.

She stated that the customer service rep I had was wrong and since it was an issue involving no water I could find provider and be reimbursed. I received the reimbursement authorization. I submitted the receipt for services and their form on August 19.

I received an email from them stating they had received it. I sent a follow up email on September 6, and received and email stating they had my claim and it would be processed in order of receipt. I called today, September 18, 2019 and they claim they don’t have it.

I have been without an AC for over 2 weeks. The company that AHS sent out, A-US Air, keeps telling me different stories about the part, the evaporator coil. They said my AC would be fixed by Sep 5th. When it wasn't I called and they said they don't have the part and wouldn't have it until Sep 11th.

After 8 trips and two different contractors (J&M Appliance and GE), my washing machine is still broken. It's been since MAY. We have two babies in this house -- both in cloth diapers.

The last contractor (GE) came, said they needed a part and said they would be back in a week. They came back on Monday and announced the part wasn't any good, so they would have to order another one and come back in another week.

To make matters worse, my dishwasher took 2 months to repair and it still isn't fixed

I started a claim on 9/12 and my payment was ever so promptly taken, I already see it on my credit card bill. I am getting ZERO customer service, your phone people are a joke, they continue to put me on hold and I cannot understand them, asked for a supervisor, Danny said that one wasn't available!!!!!!!!

Have ised AHS for 5 homes in21 yrs. nary a problem. Until now Had to sell my home yesterday. I renewed my coverage only 2 mths ago. The home inspector declared thst thesame service provider that ahs sent to my home four separate times to service my heating system “ caused a fire hazard with their incompetence” No im told i have to pay over a mths adminfees/charges to no longer need their services. This is unbelievable.

My AC stopped working on August 14th and i filed a claim with AHS. HVAC tech on 16th diagnosed the issue that the thermostat signal wire is broken (which is covered by the warranty).

However, the tech transfer the work to electric trade. Electrician shows up on 20th and states that this is not HVAC issue and transfers back to HVAC. AHS assigns another HVAC company who shows up on 25th and diagnoses the same thing and tells me they will submit the work to AHS and once approved they will start the work.

The HVAC company instead transfers the work to an electrician again. I call AHS and tell them that an electrician has already been there before and he already said it is a HVAC issue. AHS now tells me they will send another technician after two weeks of no AC in august.

I signed up for service in August. I provided the young man my credit card info and advised for him to remove my old cc. He assured me he did. I thank received a letter in mail saying that I have an outstanding payment due that should have been charged to my cc.

The agent did not remove old card and attempting to run it and said my bank rejected it. I than spoke to Diedra and she advised me same thing, took my correct cc and said it would apply. Diedra than called me back 2 days later and said bank rejected payment.

Gave Diedra my cc again, she said she would remove old card, well today, I received another call from Diedra to say bank rejected payment. I contacted customer service, agent asked if my card ended in 5021 and I said no.

5/24/19, 6/6/19, 9/11/19. We had a tech out to our home from Air Max Heating and Cooling to fix or AC unit, all 3 appointments were a fail and the tech complained about his own company stating they will not do the right job and replace the unit!!

At this point I’m contacting Rex Tibbins at the corporate office for American Shield as the warranty I purchased is just flat out not being honored. Three visits and me and my family are burning up with no AC. This is a huge safety issue that needs to be addressed ASAP

I reported an issue with my cooktop back in April. After months of non communication with AHS, I was finally able to get the approval to have my cooktop completely replaced. Kevin Miller said that a check was mailed on August 12th.

I reported to him that I never received the check. He emailed on August 31st stating that he would have another one processed ASAP. Since then, I have not been able to contact Mr. Miller. He has ignored my emails and phonecalls.

I have made NUMEROUS phone calls to AHS to have this resolved, only to be told that someone would "submit a report and that's all we can do," or "I will report this to Kevin Miller's supervisor," etc. I AM TIRED OF GETTING THE RUN AROUND.

I joined AHS this past spring, my account didn't become eligible until July of this year. I then requested service for my 2 refrigerators and it has been nothing but a nightmare since. The first vendor I was given was not responding to my messages so I called and was given another vendor, D&S Reapir,They did return my call but only to find out they were only given a service request for 1 fridge.

I called AHS on August 13th with a broken refrigerator. Appliance Weeks has come out for 4 times and still has not repaired the refrigerator. I have gotten no satisfaction from calling American Home Shield and have never received a returned call as promised numerous times.

I also was promised $100 credit back on my credit card for all this inconvenience and still have not received the credit. 35 days and still no refrigerator. I am a senior and it has become extremely difficult for me on some days as I am not always up to going out to get food.

Last week I phone AHS for a request for service on my sum pump. I was relectant to give my checking info to the CSR because I didn't want them taking out the $100 fee before service was complete and I was advised that we only put the $100 after service. Well this morning in checking me account there was the $100 taken out of my account and he contractor has not been to my home. After calling again and speaking with CSR I wanted to speak to a supervisor - I was transferred and I explained my unhappiness that no work was done and you took out the fee - she argued with me that that was your policy, I advised that I would be speaking the PA Attorney General, BBB and whoever else I needed to alert your practices. I initiated a service request on 8/31/2019 for my Air conditioning. I received a call from a contractor (9/1/19) who scheduled an appointment for Friday (9/6/19) of that week. I called AHS after completing the call with the contractor. I advised the representative I have asthma and the Friday appoint was unacceptable. The representative said they would contact the contractor to see if they would release the service request and call me back. I never received a callback.

The contractor called on 9/6/19 to reschedule the appointment to Monday 9/9/19. The contractor did come and evaluated the A/C problem. I was advised the parts were ordered that same day and the turn around time for shipping was 2-3 business days.

My work order started on August 16-18/2019 for a washer repair. My account was charged $100. for the service. I received a email that the service was completed but the service has not been started. Today is September 13 I have been on the phone with various representatives since 12:40.

It is now 4:26 and the representative hung up on me when I asked for the phone of the appliance company that will call on 9/16/2019 to verify time of service. I am so upset. This is poor service today.

II called AHS on June 19, 2019 to put in a work order for a refrigerator repair due to water leaking and items not freezing in the freezer. The first technician came out 6/21/2019, to assess the problem and wrote the ticket up that the defroster plate and freezer gasket needed to be replaced and stated the parts would be ordered.

A new tech came out on 6/25, with the defroster plate and no gasket for the freezer and stated he would order the part. I never heard back from the technician and numerous follow-up emails were sent technician after that inquiring when someone would be out.

1. I wouldn't have thought it would take that long each time to get to customer service. Average calls in about a dozen calls I made worked out be at least 30 minutes and most agents did not call back if the call dropped or cut off.

Understanding the English language also seemed to be a problem. 2. They initially gave me a contractor who had so many bad reviews who just ruined my entire day to reschedule where I had to take additional time off. When I complained to AHS, they did nothing to ensure better service. 3.

Since July 18 and July 29, we have been having issues with vendors refusing to provide service (Advantage Refrigeration & Air, Inc), or vendors (Total Air Care, INC) technicians showing without the proper tools and equipment to do the job. On September 4th, I file a claim for a water leak. I was told that they could not get anyone there until 9/5 (K&S) between 12 and 5 ( this was after I told them that would be unacceptable, that I need someone today 9/4).

I called back after I had talked with Wilbur's Plumbing, who said that they could come that same day 9/4 to asked if I found someone who could repair the problem, would they reimburse me . Whoever I talked to told me they would not, therefore I asked to speak to their manager.

I have tried for over a week to get my refrigerator repaired. It is covered and parts have been ordered and arrived at my house. The flaky vendor AHS hired can't get it together long enough to do the repair.

First they sent a disabled (BAD BACK) tech, who did nothing!!! Couldn't even figure out what parts were needed. another tech came out and ordered the parts but come repair day he called in sick. AHS is unwilling to do anything to make this right.

I have been hung up on, transferred to vm lines and told to go buy a dorm fridge for my aunt to use because she is physically and mentally disabled. I called the president Rex Tibvebs and left a message for him to call me back and have heard nothing.

AHS takes your money every year but provides nothing for the high cost.
