I have an ac unit that all tech ac repair is supposed to be able to fix, their tech came out yesterday with the wrong part or a part that is broken, "what is this"! this is an ongoing problem.

I have a family to take care of, this is total bs. I don't think that they want to fix my broken ac unit. I feel as though I am being pressured to buy one of their new units. This problem has persisted since the beginning of summer until now.

I need my unit fixed

I signed up with this company after reading the positive reviews, there was no "home inspection required" and you didn't have a waiting period for service calls. I had the policy for about a month (first discrepancy) and filed a claim for a water valve leak (from my hot water knob in the shower).

After I paid the required $75 service fee call, AHS assigned a technician to come out. The company the assigned A Water Solutions contacted me to schedule an appointment and we waited for a technician. When the tech came out, he was NOT friendly nor interactive.

We showed him the source of our problem and expected him to provide a written diagnosis within a few days. We did not receive that and life happened. Eventually, I called into the AHS to find out what our options were.

I filed a claim approx 1 month ago. 50 was paid on 7/11/2022. The problem is still outstanding. last week I was called and asked if I still wanted the service performed . I replied and after much time on the phone got no satisfactory answer.

I was told they could not find a service person and that I should find one and insure they were licensed and insured.. I need this resolved as I've been without a dryer for over a month. If this is the way you treat your customers I believe I'll take my business else where..

i contacted the company over 2 months ago payed truck fee they keep tacking monthly service fee and still they have not fixed my appliance. the customer service centers are located all over the world people who read off scripts that do not care or understand what there saying repeat the same thing over and over again can never get anyone in the US.

The entire situation feels like a scam im going to contact my bank a file a claim as far back as i can for the charges then a small claim with the local court i already file a complaint with the BBB

AHS sent a contractor to fix my washer. 2 days later the washer has the same problem. I have called and called and called and I can not get AHS TO DO ANYTHING... I called the contractor and he is on vacation until August 1st.

AHS closed my service out when I requested somebody to come and fix my washer. I looked in my account and it says the order was closed. I NEED A CONTRACTOR TO COME OUT AND FIX MY WASHER. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF CALLING AND GETTING LIE AFTER LIE FROM YOUR REPRESENTATIVES.

I am a retail customer for home warranty and have been with AHS for over 15 years. My agreement number is 589430508. I had requested service on May 20, 2022 with Dispatch ID 119886748 to fix some faucets. The kitchen faucets needs some parts to get fixed and the Service technician from Brick Street Plumbing said they needed AHS authorization to get the part and they will come back once the part was received.

AHS approved the authorization request about which Brick Street was not aware till July 11th when I was finally able to get someone on the phone. I was told that the technician will order the part and it will take about 10 business days to come in when they will call me to setup an appointment to to come in and fix the issue.

My complaint is that when I call for service for air conditioning there is a 4 day wait when it’s 94 degrees in my home. I pay $100 a month for a service that does nothing for me and the only people you can talk to are in the Philippines and can do nothing for you.

It’s also $100 to e en submit a warranty issue. I also had someone come to service my dishwasher, paid $100 and guess what, it still does not work. This service is not what it used to be and I am very disappointed.

A service call was made for a repairs of an air conditioner was mad on April 7th 2022 technician arrived ordered parts blower condenser for the unit. Parts arrived after 2 weeks later ( two weeks without air conditioning in the home) technician arrived repairs completed.

Same unit July 7th broke down called for repairs no technician was available to do a service call till 11th, the house was like on fire temperature of over 90o the technician arrived on the 11th at 5pm and advised that the compressor is bad and have to replace the unit.

Till this day 22 of July no repairs have been provided and all the answer we get is parts have been ordered. ( nothing we can they can do) I have an 84 years old mother living there and currently with the heat wave the temperature in the house is over…

Our air conditioning unit stopped working. We called American Home Shield in which they called Trade Masters,Inc. @ 2444 Helena St. Kenner, LA. Someone came out and stated that American Home Shield has to approve the repairs. While waiting for days that turned into weeks, I stayed in a hotel due to the temperature inside my home being over 100 degrees.

I called both companies over the next three weeks, in which, both companies informed me to call the other company, as I did so but clearly I was just sent on the run around. A month later, I had to pay to have the Unit repaired by another company.

However, they seem to get in touch with me regarding the payment for the next month.

I called several times for the contract to be cancelled and spoke to employees overseas, who evidently don’t understand English.

I called several times today and no one seemed capable of resolving this matter.

The 2 times I have dealt with AHS the customer service and wait time for a technician to come to your home is beyond ridiculous. The people who take the phone calls are in another country and very hard to understand.

I am so dis-satisfied with the service I am receiving from AHS. I am very tired of talking to everyone, no one is doing anything to help me. All I get is the same old thing, especially when I keep ending up in the Philippines.

I used to love AHS until July 2021. Our relationship has gone downhill since then. I went 6 werks in Jan/ Feb without heat. Now Ive gone without AC for the past 3 1/2 months. I’ve had technicians out 4-4 times, but no one has been able to fix the issue.

It’s been over a month since a technician came out. I was told by my technician that they were waiting fir AHS to order parts. Now I’m told they are replacing the Unit. AHS finally sent me communication to agree to pay $550, due to normal wear and tear.

I notified AHS on 7/9/2022 regarding water pouring through my 1st floor ceiling.. They sent a plumber who said it wasnt their issue. They then sent an HVAC tech on 7/16. 5 hrs late, reeked of cigarette smoke and was dismissive and rude.

He blamed my issue on an irrelevant item. I had to basically demand he go look at my ac units and he popped his head in and claimed it was installed wrong and fails inspection. This was a lie. I obtained my home inspection from city and Veterans Affairs and my ac system is installed accurately and passed inspection.

My home is only 5 yrs old. He then told me my warranty and homeowners insurance wouldnt cover water damage because of my system. He did not locate my ductwork nor did he check outside units nor did he check drain lines...

I have had a service request opened for last 8 days and AHS has no update on the status. They sent a contractor to my house but that contractor closed business and my request has been stuck for 7 days. I call them several times a day and am promised that AHS is escalating my request but nothing changes. Their wait times are horrible and I have spend atleast 2 hours each day to talk to a person. This is such a nightmare experience.

Stay away from these folks like a plague.

This is my second service request with AHS. The 1st time it took me 4 months to get a replacement refrigerator. And now my AC has stopped working. My request for service was sent on June 28, 2022 today is July 20 and no service technician has contacted me as of yet.

When calling the 800 number it's always an excuse. Today they said they can not find a company to come look at the AC but that i can find my own. To them I say that's what I paid you for and they say that is all they can do.

My advice is NEVER NEVER buy an American Home Shield product.

I have been without water for 5 days. They gave me an emergency work order Saturday night. When i called back Monday they still didn’t have it assigned. I told them to continue to look for someone and I would look for someone on my end.

I called back Tuesday with a contractor and they said that the department was closed. When I called back they said I declined the authorization on Monday which was not true. So now i talked to a manager and was supposed to get a call back from the escalation team.

12 hours later I have yet to receive a call back. So essentially I’m out money and no one wants to call me back. This is the second time this has happened and this is the worst customer service ever!!

On July 11th I filed a claim for my AC I was told I must find my own repair vendor that met certain criteria and would be willing to work with AHS. My vendor quickly submitted the diagnostic information to AHS and we were told my AC repair claim was submitted to the Authorization team and typically 24-48 hours to respond.

Everyday since then I have followed up and been told my ticket has been escalated and a supervisor will contact me in 24 hours. Not one call or email once so far. My home has been 85-86 degrees everyday for my children and myself and it’s absolutely miserable.

I have been without hot water for over a month now. Your company replaced my water heater about 9 years ago. I had to pay $700 for the permit to bring it up to code. Now when I called the Plumbing company says the heater is obsolete and can not be replaced.

Your customer service call Center in the Philippines told me I had to purchase and install it myself if I didn't take a cash out. What is 500 dollars supposed to buy when the installation is over $700. AHS is not the quality company you once were.

I've been a customer for over 15 years, but the last 2 years since Covid you have outsourced you customer service who do not care about the customer needs. Facebook has a group just for bad customer services and lawsuits.

Hi. My name is jon Curtis. I live at #&$@^$$ court in north Las Vegas. If been with your company for I think 4 year. 2 different addresses. Well my A/C is been broken for 5 weeks now and My family and I are suffering.

AHS has refused to replace our air conditioning compressor. We’ve been told it’s running (it’s not). Our house has been at 95 degrees for almost 10 days. The service techs they sent out did not repair but recommended replacement of our compressor.

AHS states they can not find a contractor in our area to do the job. We live in a large city (Fort Worth). We are having our unit replaced ourselves without any compensation from AHS. We’ve been loyal customers for over 7 years.

Your company is the biggest joke I have ever had to deal with. I live in Texas where if is currently averaging 106° every day. And yet, when my AC unit stops cooling, you find every BS excuse in the book to not pay for the repairs. I strongly suggest reviewing my claim again. My husband and I have been customers of American Home Shield for many years but have never experienced such poor customer service! We called on the 15th of July 2022 with a service request. This was through your automated system.

I made a claim for service on May 3 2022 because my A/C was not getting cold. Service provider came out on the May 4 2022 and diagnosed the issue. Service provider said the evaporator coil was leaking and 2 possibilities were replace the whole unit or replace just the outside unit.

The service provider provided the information to AHS for them to make a decision. 31 days later after repeat phone calls they said thet were going to replace the unit. I’ve been getting the run around since 6/21/22. It’s been 4 or more attempts for my AC to be fixed to no avail! They’ve taken my money and haven’t fixed anything. You’re unable to speak with a manager and every representative tells me someone will get in touch with me within 24-48 hours but that still hasn’t happened.

This will be the 5th time an appointed has been scheduled to fix my unit. I’m on the day of the appointment Sears ALWAYS cancels. If you can’t provide a survival e to the consumer then get out of this business!

I submitted a request at the end of May for a/c repair. It is now June 12th and my a/c is still not repaired. The contractor has made 3 different appointments to come out but there was always an excuse.

First they didn’t receive the part as expected, then the part was on back order and then it was the wrong part. I live in Florida and have multiple sclerosis. Nothing has been done to accommodate my time without a/c.

My pool booster pump went out at the beginning of April 2022. My pool maintenance company advised he could order and replace the pump. As I pay monthly for my home warranty through AHS, I figured this would be a great time to use the benefit of the warranty.

AHS sent out Turner Electric company who spent more than 30 minutes assessing the situation. After the technician was finished he said he would have all the information back to AHS within 24 hours. 00 to come to my home.

Turner Electric didn't even report back to AHS for over 30 days after multiple messages left at Turner Electric and trying to escalate within customer service at AHS over 5 times. Turner Electric was not able to even get a new pump as they quoted a nationwide shortage.

My furnace/AC unit went out in Jan 2022. I submitted a claim request with American Home Shield in January, a contractor came out looked at my unit and said the mother board was fried would order the part needed and

replace after a month of not having heat the contractor received the part only to find out it was the wrong part. We continue to have issues they ended up replacing the unit, however they are now waiting on to other parts for the unit.

It is now almost the end of July 2022 and my unit is still not working and I have contacted a local supplier whom has the parts needed. I have been calling and sending emails and am not receiving any communication in return to resolve this issue.

American Home Sheild continues to take monthly payments but is not taking care of customer.

My claim started June 17th 2022. I came home from vacation and my refrigerator wasn't working. I called started the UNACCEPTABLY LONG process. 1) I can tell you I have called in 24 times in 30 days. 2) I can tell you they sent a PLUMBER to look at my refrigerator 3) I can tell you I called AT LEAST 22 repair companies in and around my area (because I live in a small town) 3) I can tell you YOUR COMPANY HAS done next to nothing.

Do not use American Home Shield. We have been getting the run around for almost a month. Evidently customer service does not get the information that the contractor they choose relays to them! We made a call to American Home Shield on June 13 about our AC unit.

I received a call today 7/11/22 from one of the American Home Shield reps reporting yet another band-aid fix on my air conditioner unit. I expressed how their quality of service has gone down over the years and reported that I would not be open to another band-aid.

When I first called in for service, it was expressed that I needed the appointment to be expedited because of health reasons and because the high temperatures were over bearing. This did not happen. In fact, Johnson HVAC reported that the call was treated as a regular call and that’s why no one responded the next day/business day. It took a week before Johnson HVAC showed up only to report that they would need to get a 2nd opinion. I submitted a request for repair to dishwasher on June 25, 2022. The assigned contractor showed up on July 6th, spent 10 minutes informed me he had to order a part would call back in a couple of days. It is now July 11th and have not heard from contractor.

Service request submitted for ac replacement 7-6-22 they were unable to get a company to service. Had to go out on our own for service have been lied to and put off getting reimbursement to get new ac. Temps over 90 in house with 4 people /4 animals.

I service person came out on June 30th and claim to fix the problem. Now the condensation from the air conditioner is leaking and damaging the floors in my rental property. I was told that the company piedmont mechanical contractors are closed Saturday and Sunday and I will need to wait for an appointment.

Meanwhile, American Shields claims to not be responsible for the damaged floors.

I filed for service on June 14th to repair my appliances. On Wednesday July 9th the technician made an appointment with me. He did not show up or call. They didn’t not answer my phone calls since. I pay for your service and should not have to be without my appliances for months at a time.

I want my appliances repaired or replaced immediately

Absolutely useless company. Forget about talking to anybody in the United States about your issue. You always get someone overseas who will absolutely refuse to let you speak with a supervisor. I’ve canceled my contract
