I have had a request to service my A/C for over 4 days. I paid the required payment to have this work done on the initial request through the American Home Shields website. There has not been a contractor assigned.

I called the customer service line yesterday and today. I was routed to the Customer Service Contractor located in the Philippines on both occasions. They could not help me. I need someone from the USA to call me and explain why American Home Shield has not been able to locate a contractor yet.

Without your company's coverage, I could have called a local contractor and had them here within 48 hours. Now it is Friday and your company has not even located a contractor yet. Please have someone from your home office contact me by Monday at 7146548903.

On June 15, 2022, A H S contracted Proven Professionals to service a garbage disposal at 185-A Plaza Dr. Chapel Hill NC. The technicians came in, replaced the disposal with one that was not the same size as the one they removed. When they finished one of the technicians stated that they would have to return to complete the job. At no time during this process was I informed about any extra cost. Now the job is half done . Now we are being asked for additional funds before the job can be completed. AHS has denied the claim. The job has not been completed. Who is responsible for completing this job?

I reside at 14807 Fort Trail Accokeek Md 20607. We placed a service request on Monday July 4th for a plumbing problem. My entire house smell like Sewage. We were given a contractor number 202-913-2943 . KNOW ONE HAS ANSWERED the phone for 4 days.

We have made phone calls to home shield day and night. We have been told each time To wait to the following day. Mean while the problem is getting worse. We have a Wedding planned. We may have to cancel. Resulting in thousand’s lost. My option now.

Is to reach out to an attorney and cancel service. This Company should be embarrass, with the service. We have received.

Requested service as Ceiling fan had stopped working. The electrician from their vendor stated the fan needs replaced and will put in a request to AHS.

However, AHS refused to pay for the claim stating a clause that the repairs do not fall under normal wear and tear. This is disappointing as the fan stopped working on account of normal wear and tear. Tried talking to the agent, but it was pointless as he kept repeating the same thing. No option for escalation.

Calling customer support does not give an option to speak to a representative. Very dissatisfied with the service and lack of resolution. The Company looks for ways for avoiding having to fix the issues. Disappointed with the service.

Worst possible company to deal with. It is impossible to speak with any customer service representatives beyond the basic call center powerless telephone operators. Have been waiting on a replacement Air Conditioning Unit since May 6 2022, it is currently 7 July 2022, and the equipment still has not arrived.

Neither myself or the contracted service company can get any actual assistance. I would warn anyone considering a home warranty company to look elsewhere. After paying 7 years of monthly fees, the service call fees, and expected out of pocket expenses not covered in replacement, I would have come out ahead just putting it in an account and taking care of it myself.

Less expensive, faster, and I can choose the company and brand..

Since Oct 2020 My property located 307 Apricot Cir, Morrisville, NC my HVAC system is not working properly. I have made over 20 Service calls to repair my HVAC system at my house. Every time AHS send some one to fix my HVAC system it works for about a month and it will go bed again. Now since past 6 days we do not have AC, it's 101*. AHS is not doing anything to help me. If any one will did or go to serious conditions who will be responsible for it? Very important note (Every time i call it go to Asian County and they absolutely do not know what they are doing. Only thing they are good is laying to customers. If i asked to talk either supervisor they always put me on hold for 45 mits and at the end either hang up or say no one is available) Advice me what to do.

I am writing due to an issue I have had in my house for 2 years now. In 2019 there was a leak in my home. I initially put a request in for a plumber. The plumbing company came out and said it was not the plumbing fault.

The leak was due to condensation from the ac vents. I then put a request in for the ac vents. The ac company came out and said nothing was wrong with the vents but they could not do a full test due to the weather bot being warm enough to run the ac.

I had to wait 6 months until I could request for a follow-up only to be told I would have to do a new request and pay another service fee. I called AHS numerous times trying to get them out without having to pay again for something that was bot completed.

Meanwhile water was leaking again. I had to finally pay for another…

The lack of communication at AHS is something that I have NEVER experienced, the way that they pass the buck and take you around in circles is CRAZY!!! They have NO US based customer service agents which makes it extremely hard to communicate your issue! Being overcharged for service fees and no one at AHS wanting to acknowledge their error!!!

Service was rendered on the 23rd of June 2022 with an ordered for fixing my AC unit. I was told that parts had to be ordered. It’s now 5th of July and all I get from customer service is they will contact the parts dept and get back to me.

American Home Shield was my Realtors idea. I purchased a premium package deal for over $500 dollars. Sadly enough their performance has been anything but premium. I’ve only made 2 service requests so it’s not like I’m abusing this company!

I made a service request 17 days ago and still haven’t had a plumber come fix my issues. In the meantime I’m unable to use my kitchen sink, dishwasher or disposal. I’ve contacted American Home Shield numerous times only to encounter very poor assistance.

I would not recommend this company if you’re shopping for a home warranty plan. Very bad service, even worse customer service and very lengthy wait times after you submit a service request. Don’t do business with American Home Shield. You’ll seriously regret it!

I have a Shield Plus home warranty through American Home Shield. I put in a request for service on July 24, 2022. I was told it would be 5 days before a plumber could come to fix my issue. In the meantime I’m unable to use my kitchen sink or dishwasher.

Nobody came on the scheduled day so I phone customer service only to be told it would be another 3 days before someone would come out. Nobody came on that day either. I once again contact customer service (which is horrible) only to be told that another contractor would be dispatched for Friday, July 1.

I put in an initial service request this past Monday for a leaking water heater. The initial response was quick and the plumber got out to the house quickly to turn off the water.

However, that is all the contractor did and they said that they needed to get authorization before installing the water heater. I called AHS call center the next morning, Tuesday, and they said that I would have to come out of pocket by $1,720 because of required modifications.

I disputed that I had to come out of pocket by so much for a water heater so they passed me over to the escalation department. The escalation department said that they had another option and that they could cash me out for the cost of the water heater and basic installation.

Hello, a few days ago 6/28/2022. I set up service request for A/C, next day contractor called to set up appointment, said appointment was set up for 7/5/2022. I undurstand being busy but really 5 days, way to long, must not want my business.

Next day, 6/29/2022 around 9:20 am PST,called AHS customer service. To find out if I could get help, getting service sooner, rep told me it would be no problem but would have to contact vendor to cancel and then set up or try to get another contractor to come sooner, rep called contractor no answer, told me I will call you back in one hour, never happened, rep did not specify day or year to call back.

This is the worst company ever. There should be a negative star option. They send out technicians that have no idea what they are doing. They give you the run around, their phone calls are all routed to foreign countries and they read off a script.

It is 103 degrees in Southern California and we can’t get our air conditioning fixed. This started in August of last year and it has broken again. They are a total rip off. We spend hours on the phone and they Act like it’s the first time you’ve called.

Our Garage door opener stopped working. AMHS sent out a technician from #1 Garage Door Service. He fixed onewire. With the serviceman here, the Door was opened and closed 10 times. 30 minutes after the serviceman left, it did not work.

24 hrs later I I called AMHS 4 times to get service man back. THEY LIED & said that after service man left that we burned out the unit. THe service man said it will fail again if something is wrong.

WE TRIED TO USE THE DOOR ONCE and it wouldn't open after the service man left. We called #1 Garage Door Repair who said AMHS dropped them & they wouldn't come out. NObody should use AMHS their warranty is garbage. 00 service call.

There is no way to talk to a supervisor when you have a problem. I spoke to Malika who just repeated the same script over and over again. I was told that some service requests should be done on the phone and that my AC should not be done online, yet it gives me the option to do it online. Why?

I will be canceling as soon as my AC is fixed. So disappointed!

i reported that my air conditioner is not cooling good on 5/4/2022 and they send the technician came to check and ordered the parts. so far the keep saying the parts are there and when the technician goes to pickup the parts are not there.

They refused to give me a contract or share contract language unt they got my cc.. they even refused to give me proof of coverage but insisted I will get a contract in the mail. I did not. I cannot get them on the phone to cancel.

I am rely frustrated that I cannot get an email to send proof of cancelation for these reasons.

AHS, There warranty is suposed to cover the full repair, minis the deduct. Service ,said most of the repair is not covered, just the part . No removing or reinstall, not in clued. I talked to sales, rep. Looked at contract. Said repair is 100per.

I purchased a contract with AHS approximately 6mos . ago and used it for the first time and was completely dissatisfied with the service. My tankless water heater was still under warranty for parts for two more years when my heat exchanger went out causing the unit to leak, damaging the unit and leaking all over the floor.

I called the company that made the unit and they were fantastic at honoring their product whereas AHS was exactly the opposite. AHS sent out a plumber who installed the new parts sent to me by the manufacturer but when he finished the unit still would not heat.

I pay my monthly fee for 4 years and now I need a electrician and they took the $100 out of my acct and after waiting 2 weeks I am told no electrian in my area so I requested my money back a week ago and still do not have it.

In the 2yrs that I've had this policy, I've only had to use it once and it was a good experience until recently where I was charged $100 service fee for a work that was done by the same plumbing company as before, Keillys plumbing. I had placed a service request for a leak when using garbage disposal, the same garbage disposal that was serviced by the same company, only to have the technician on 6/10/22 report that it was not installed properly.

He did not leave an invoice of his work. I had filled out a review of service and still has not been contacted by both American Home Shield or Keillys plumbing for a refund of the service fee that I was charged. Lucy

My AC out since 6/18/22. I have been trying to get a resolution to the problem since. The first company they referred me to didn't even know about it and couldn't come for 2 weeks and we are having 100° temps.

I have been a customer for a while. I pay my premium upfront for the year. My renewal was automatically deducted from my account recently. I put in a order over a month ago at which time I was charged a deductible of 100$ since then 3 different technicians have been to my home only to express they can't complete the job.

Between each of these companies I was not notified. I ordered the AC/tune-up through American Home Shield for both my AC units, I was assigned Dempsey as the contractor who called promptly and scheduled the appointment for 5/19/22. To be honest I have no idea what an AC Tune-up entails, I just figured I was being pro-active in the management of my systems.

Anyways this technician did a tune to both systems in less than 20 minutes (no lie). Anyway, a couple days later on 5/21, we go to use our A/C for the 1st time this season. One of the units is not cooling off my 1st floor.

Minimal air is coming thru the vents. com. They assign the request to Dempsey again and a tech (Joshua) came out on 5/24. At the end of the visit, he tells me I need a whole new system including Condenser unit and sent me a quote for $4200+.

AC unit is out. Your people are trying to find someone to come out within 48 hours. I told them that will not happen this time of year. I just ask to be put on someone’s schedule weather it’s 2 days or 5 days.

Getting a major runaround from service depatment and contactor (Extreme Heating & Air 770-580-5953). Was given an incorrect service # 126620318 which should have been # 126602318. A rush request was put on the order because of the high temperatures this week in the 100s, my senior age, and the fact that I am recovering from knee replacement surgery.

After trying to get this issue resolved since the electricians completed the first leg of the replacement of electrical box with wires that had melted together which caused the fuse to blow. Since they could not repair the fuse, a note was supposed to be added to their report so someone else would be contracted to complete the service request.

I paid for my pool pump to be repaired or replaced twice the man came out the first time and said there wasn't enough water in the pool so I felt it called American home shield back. They sent him back up.

He then said it was fixed. It's not circulating the water in the creepy girl. That does not work because there is not enough pressure. I called American home shield and told them they said somebody would email me. Nobody ever emailed me.

All of the customer service for this company has moved overseas. These customer service sub contractors are there to patronize you, they will not escalate your call, if you ask for the customer retention they will not transfer you for fear of being fired. American home shield is about two seconds away from loosing a loyal customer of ten plus years!

I am a 15 year customer of American Home Shield and there is NOTHING good about working with the company or having a "warranty contract" with them. They will skirt every issue in the contract they can to get out of actually performing to the specifications of the contract.

the only reason I have them - I am 72 years old and live on a very limited income. Currently, I have a refrigerator that is over 30 years old (1984) stopped working approximately 3-wks ago. I contacted AHS for repair - they assigned a company I have never heard of to me.

All the technicians seem to be from another county - very poor English and do not understand the equipment. causing refrigerator to overheat. Then it took another week to get them to come back when it stopped working again in 24 yrs.

The so call service agents are all over seas. All of them speak broken English, at best. They delay find a contractor, and they state that can’t find any for your service are. When we contacted contractors on our own, all stated they don’t work with American Homeshield because they never get paid or get lowballed for services provided.

Bottom line- we are unable to get our air conditioning repaired. HORRIBLE customer service; worst of any company I have ever worked with!
