AOL

I recently discovered that my identity was stolen along with my SSN, address, corporation name plus EIN. This information was used to open Merchant Accounts with 2 major providers. Obviously fraud. I am contacting you as an email account at your organization is being used in the fraud. com.

This is not my account but a bogus account being used for improper purposes. i thought you should know. And this same bogus person tried as recently as last week to open another Merchant account suing this same AOL email address.

Perhaps you can take some action to avoid this illegal activity from continuing. Thank you.

I started to receive multiple of the same emails in October. I tried to delete them but couldn't. I shut the computer down over night and tried again with no success. I call Customer Svc. for a Tech. 00 with a credit card before I could get any help.

I was desperate so I did. Since I called the last week of October, the emails increase daily and now I am up to 6,000 with no end in sight. A tech from the "VIP" team tried to remotely fix the issue.

After an hour, he tried but he couldn't delete any either. He said this problem needed escalated. I HAVE A CASE NUMBER: # 10781556. So, it was sent to the engineering dept. I call for the promised updates ( told me to give them another email so they could reach me) never did.

All my White house emails keep going to spam as if they don't want me to read updates on what is getting done under the President. Every time I try to get into emails I have to see fake, horrible news about the President & great news about the left,even if they are saying terrible things.

As a long standing customer, AOL's service is wretchedly poor. Its quality is terrible. I experience delays getting onto its browser; and once on, it is horribly slow and it constantly freezes at which point I have to shut it down and restart.

If I practiced my profession of law with similar quality, not only would I be abysmally ashamed, I would eventually be out of business. Shame on this company, its management, employees, and shareholders for its brutish neglect and lack of caring for its customers.

I realize I am one in a million customers, but out of outrage I'm taking the time to at least register my complaint. I am a 20 yr. customer of AOL and the ONLY reason I / we use AOL is because of my wife's limited computer skills.

As a retired corporate Quality Assurance Manager I can (professionally) tell you that your software, it's technical and customer support, is the most inept, meaningless and useless operation(s) I have ever experienced in my 76 years. I am not receiving notifications in my email when I comment and get likes or when someone replies to my comments in the comment section of the articles. This has been going on for about 6 weeks. I previously made this complaint and was advised by AOL to click on my name at the beginning of a comment section and check the settings.

I did this, and all the setting are checked to receive notifications. Just to make sure, I unchecked them and then checked them again and clicked to save them. I just checked again a few minutes ago, and all of them are still checked; yet I am not receiving any notifications.

Important emails sent to me are not arriving, WHY?

I actually pay a monthly fee to have to put up with your self-serving format, which I resent greatly. In almost every story or article I want to read, you make your customers read a few sentences and then click to go forward to the next page.

Of course it takes several seconds because all of the advertisements you sell have to load. I would think you would make a no-advertisements version available to those subscribers who actually pay for the service. GREED, GREED, GREED!

Why can't I drill down to lower levals

I've been a PAYING customer for many years! I read the news every morning, but for the past month to a month and a half the service is horrible. I click on a great headline and all I get is a BLANK PAGE, there are a few Head Lines that do link, but most are blank page!

Please advise what the problem is and how it can be rectified! When you solve this problem, I will rate AOL.

AOL is an unbelievable stupid company and I am unbelievable stupid user.

First most of the news that comes with pictures only reveals 1/3 of the pictures because the rest is blocked out by ads.

Second, if you want the whole news story you need to train yourself to block out the ads and speed read. Thank you AOL for the first time in my 73 years on this earth I am able to speed .

AOL is about the most unethical or maybe you can say smartest if your a money monger. It makes it's customers pay to fix its own dysfunctional software.

Finally discovered why aol mail is so horrendous !

They start off hassling one aspect of your webmail account: for example, slow linking to your Email. Then add another aspect, such as sending slews of ads to Inbox; and so on until you get so fed-up you find a way to complain to their Customer Service. I've been locked out of the AOL account for the last three days and none of your representative have been able to get a resolution for me to gain access to the account. I've had the AOL account for many years and they're telling me that they can get the account back open; unfortunately, since Monday, June 24, 2019 not one representative has been able to successfully reestablish the account. On 6/11/2019 I was responding to a reply to a comment I'd made on an AOL comment thread and while typing my response I saw all my previous comments on the thread deleted. I have always followed the AOL guidelines and write thoughtful and considerate comments. Apparently the moderator was mad because my original comment was criticizing a Yahoo writer for taking Trump's words out of context. Verizon bought AOL and Yahoo so maybe that's why the moderator was offended or maybe it's just political bias.

Regardless, the moderator took it much further and deleted ALL of my comments from more than the past 2 years when AOL implemented their current format for their comment threads. I found this out by going to my profile page and all that were there were the 15 comments from April to June 2017…

I know to help pay for the service I have to accept pop up ads on AOL, but recently the pop up ad had a picture that I consider porn. I emailed Aol told I agreed to get pop up ads, no reference to the content.

I then called and this guy had no concern about the vulgar ad, he tried to SELL me virus protection. It is not a virus it is a company they advertise for. I can not have children seeing an ad like this.

I have tried multiple times and spent over 2 hours on the phone with customer service to cancel my aol account, after an attempted hack to my account. I deleted all 5 sub accounts in March (well over an hour) while on the phone with CS dept and was told to wait 30-45 days to cancel main account. com).

I am a long time user of AOL. i have had some computer problems with AOL. i asked them for help. They forwarded me to a company who said they could help me. They tried to fix my problem bust said That i needed additional help.

00 for their initial repair. 00 . i refused to pay that. Since then i have had a problem in signing into to my account. If i leave my computer on without touching it for a while it shuts down so i need to sign in again.

AOL is using a hard sell system for peddling System Mechanic and Anti Spyware programs. I have rejected the offers twice and again I will tell you I do not want or need them. I replied to their offer again 30 minutes ago and said in the email that I do not want the service and to confirm they are not going to charge my account per the email I received.

I have been with AOL for a long time (at least 20 yrs) and the service was a lot better. If the one star is a low rating then that is what I can give them and if there was a lower rating they have earned that one.

AOL now sends me pop up demands from India that freeze my computer while I am working on it to recover from a massive hack from—you guessed it—India. 95 subscription fee for March 2019. How could I? A few days ago my Dell computer was compromised by hackers from Goa, India and I am still working furiously to block the fatal effects of that hack.

However, the incredibly rude and stupid AOL tactic of freezing everything but their popup has prevented me from doing that. I had to pull the plug on the computer, and lose critical restoration work. I called AOL many times, attempting to get a voice connection in the US, but seems there aren't any—the former American managers have flown the coop.

My mother passed away two months ago and I found out she had her AOL payment on auto charge to her credit card. They refused to credit the last two charges - I asked for even the last month's charge as there is no money to pay the credit card for it.

"i'm sorry we can only credit if you canceled before the billing date" (which basically means they don't credit anything) but you can't cancel if you are dead! Supervisor said no way to credit - really? AOL has no ability to credit an account? Ever? Under any circumstance?

I have no contacts blocked on my phone. I contacted Verizon and they do not provide technical support anymore and was told to call AOL who now does for my account. I also contacted Apple and was told nothing came from their end and to contact AOL. I contacted AOL and was given 2 options. 1. Go to AOL online Help page and 2. Sign up for a AOL Plan that provides live technical support with a monthly charge. I was told I can cancel the plan during a 30 day trial period. AOL has a bad reputation with this process.

I went to the AOL webpage and there was absolutely nothing that addressed how to unblock a contact. In fact, the webpage was so generic I found it totally useless for consumers.
