Customer Experience: Tuesday August 25; arrived Ohare airport on UA flight 6:54 pm. Proceeded to Avis via tram. My complaint is about overcharge for the rental I had from budget rent A car taken from DFW. One day rate for the car was $84 for one day but the rental people added surprising charges which made the bill triple the base one day rent which was $227.

This is the second time I filed a complaint not getting any resolution the first. Confirmation No. 42502191US4 A prepaid full-size sedan. Thursday Sep 22, 2022, at 09:00 AM I picked the car up at the St Louis airport. The lines were long, but I expected that.

When I finally got to the window the agent was very slow. The agent next to him did two customers to his one. He finally finished and told me, my was a designated space. I walked out and no car was in the space.

I walked back to complain to the agent, but he was no longer there. I waited to talk to another agent and finally the original came back and was walking outside. I stopped him and told there was no car in space he directed me too.

Hello I have a reservation for today at the sunrise Florida location. I was not given a car but instead told that they have no returns coming in. I have a preferred account with business status if that makes any sense,and I also let the representative understand that I was using reward days but to no avail I have had to find alternatives.

I have rented from this particular location for the past year or two and with Avis for at least four plus years. At this point I am contacting Better Business Bureau.

My reservation was messed up twice. Overcharged.

Also, they have long wait times and the system never calls you back. Kept in contact with customer service and have to call at certain times due to the fact that they are located on eastern standard time. Overdrawn my account and never gotten back to me about a refund.

Lied and said to the Law enforcement and tried to charge me with embezzlement. Put my name on the DNR list and every time you call customer service they always hang up on you and never understand you due to the language barrier.

They really deserve zero stars.

I have too much to say. Starting with the manager in Topeka was sexually harassing me and tried getting me to smoke week in the back of the building. Yet he still has his job even 2 years after the incident.

But I'm on the bs donotrent list because they don't want me exposing all this information. They towed my rental with all my stuff never got a call to go pick it up and where. They would never answer me.

I had a bunch of new stuff considering it was around my birthday. I highly do not recommend this place to anyone what so ever.

I picked up my rental at Avis Preferred, PHL. The staffer was entertaining a friend while conducting business. She issued me a larger vehicle than what I ordered , a Mazda CX5. It had a mild cigarette odor. I did not want to go back into the office seeking another vehicle because I felt uncomfortable interrupting the staffer's friendly conversation.

My wife and I traveled about two hours, and then the front tire burst. I then found that all 4 tires were worn to the indicator bar on the tires, which was the warning that all four tires were past their safe life span.

The vehicle that we "upgraded" too had a front driver side head light that was out which was not noticed until driving in the mountains. The wiper rubber blade on the passenger side fell apart when used. The window was covered in spots so badly that you could not see but the empty washer fluid could have solved the problem if it had been filled.

I guess the worse part was driving through areas that were unfamiliar with a head light being out was very nerve racking especially when traveling through the mountains. I should have stuck with the original car!!! But no, I had to have an "upgrade".

My recent Avis rental experience definitely ranks up there as one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. Paid for a “premium” car, but the Toyota Avalon they gave me smelled like an ash tray, and it had this nasty lime-scented air freshener pinned to one of the vents.

Also, driver’s center vent was not operational. A few days into the rental the right rear tire blew. I called Avis roadside assistance and explained the situation…and they were so rude and unhelpful. Wouldn’t even tell me if I would get assistance that day…or if I’d have to sit in the car all night long in the 110+ degree heat until they could dispatch someone.

3+ hours later, roadside assistance finally showed up, however I felt completely unsafe driving the “premium” car with a bubble spare in the 110+ degree…

Rented on Friday, August 12. Started driving cross country. Unexpectedly had to put air in the tire every day or every other day and a half. Contacted customer service through email. Was advised once I got to a place where I could exchange the vehicle to contact them to see if they have the vehicle and do so.

Attempted that this morning in Atlanta. No help, was told to drive directly to the location to see if they had a car like I needed, was transferred multiple times between existing departments which I had already spoken to. Your people only live by the script.

I got charged for a car that I did not get. I did not get the car because when I went to pick it up you guys wouldn't give it to me because you wouldn't take the card I had.

With that being said I still got charged $239. I was told that I would get refunded the money on the 12th of last month. I still don't have the refund and I'm just going to go to the better business burial because this is ridiculous.

I am currently using an Uber rental from your location at 1270 Mineral Spring Ave North Providence, RI.... The vehicle I received was not properly inspected by the staff and the tires were worn down to the metal, which made for a potentially dangerous situation for me being on the road...

I asked them if they had anyone in particular that they go to for repairs and they gave me the name of a garage, and said that they would reimburse me for my expenses.... When I could not get in to that garage because they were too busy, I took the vehicle to my regular mechanic....

The manager in Elko,NV is BEYOND rude lacks SEVERELY in professionalism and in no mixed words told a customer she (the manager) did not want to rent to her and to go “down the line” to other rental agencies. This is a small town and I know your turnover has been huge.

But if this is the only type of people you can hire to serve the public. My advice would be to close up this shop. This is definitely not a Customer Service Employee and I have been all over and rented many cars at many places but this lady honestly takes 1st place in rude unpleasant and unprofessional .

Although the car was very comfortable, the service when I got there was just the opposite. I waited in line like everyone else, got to the counter at 11:10 am for a 12:00 noon car rental. " I said to her, by the time I get the car it would be a few minutes before 12:00, are you kidding me.

This is absolutely the worst service I have ever had by any business. I filed a previous complaint, 47437703, about the lack of service I received when the key was lost. You should be able to see that one without me writing it all again but you literally would have left me, and my newborn, stranded had I not followed up!

Some months ago my son had difficulty in returning his car at Dallas Fort Worth. Caused by lack of staff. 3 cars waiting and no one to receive the keys. He finally had to leave the car in the queue because he would have missed his flight.

my wife rented a car in February for a month. She was told for every week that it was returned early there would be a refund. She returned it 8 days early and got nothing refunded. Then we rented another car in May and were told that it would be made up for not getting a refund.

The car they gave me the computer screen quit 3 times and twice had to get the car jumped battery was dead. Then they gave me a different rental so I could get home without any other problems and put gas tank was full but only had 3/8 tank. 00 for a jump.

I was lied to about signing contract and 40 dollars was added because my daughter couldn't use her card even though it was only one driver. The agent said she was processing the payment as soon as I signed which was another lie the payment was forced through on the 13th of June and my deposit hasn't been returned.

The tire was flat and was unable to drive it for a whole day and it was all a horrible experience. I want my deposit back and a total refund because of the lies and horrible service. I have spoken to several people and nothing has been done to satisfy my concerns.

I reserved a suv for today. Called customer service yesterday to confirm and ask how much extra they would hold on my DEBIT CARD I was told nothing and asked if I was traveling at the airport and I said NO I live here.

I recently took a trip to Detroit and reserved a car thru Priceline for Budget. My sister and I arrived at the location listed on my confirmation from Priceline as Budget Rent a Car at 5730 South Middlebelt Rd, Westland, MI 48186. We had requested a mid-size SUV. I gave the agent my ID and my credit card, received my paperwork and was informed we had a Honda Accord LX. Ok, not what we ordered but I understand that sometimes you don't get what you expected. The customer service rep was very rude and uncooperative. He stated helping someone before we were done. They refused to do the walk thru before they gave me car. When I got the car there was a Crack in the window.

I rented a car from Avis in Atlanta, Georgia at the Airport. The QUE to rent my car was over an hour and a half with only 10 people in line. The line was not moving, and not one employees announce to us why. Once I received my rental, the taillight was broken, but I did not realize it until I was stoping outside the airport for water.

Upon returning my vehicle I was over charged $180 for service counter fees I did not sign-up for. The agents, did not provide me a copy of my agreement - nor discussed my balance before giving me my parking space for my rental. When I called to dispute, the agent stated the counter fees were for fuel-surcharge and toll services - neither I never signed for. I returned the vehicle as it was given to me, and did not go through all tolls. Totally unacceptable…

I requested a full size car and they did not have one when i arrived and so instead i was given a suv. This suv smelled of smoke so bad i had to drive with the windows down. It was also dirty inside and out.

I also called the pickup location to adjust my pickup time to 5pm and did not adjust my pickup time which resulted in me being charged for more days on my rental. I brought all of this up to the office attendant and his only response was he had no idea who talked to when picking up the rental and that there was nothing he could do.

Horrible company. On 4/23/22, I picked up my rental car from Avis in San Francisco airport with a full tank of gas. On 4/27/22, I returned my rental car to Avis in the same location with an almost full tank of gas.

However, the Gas Service Option was wrongfully charged when I returned the rental. I should not be billed for a full tank of gas when I returned the rental vehicle. I should only be billed for the portion I used for fuel as read in the gas meter.

The attendant did not even bother to look a the gas meter to see where the fuel reading was at when she checked me in. Yet, she charged me a full tank of gas without asking any questions. This is wrong.

On 4/23/22, I picked up my rental car from Avis in San Francisco airport with a full tank of gas. On 4/27/22, I returned my rental car to Avis in the same location with an almost full tank of gas.

However, the Gas Service Option was wrongfully charged when I returned the rental in the agreement rental # 287705342, reservation confirmation # 24541625US3. I should not be billed for a full tank of gas when I returned the rental vehicle.

I should only be billed for the portion I used for fuel as read in the gas meter. The attendant did not even bother to look a the gas meter to see where the fuel reading was at when she checked me in.

58 I asked for no insurance. I asked for nothing more . 77 for gas he told me I did not have to fill it up when I bring it back. He did not explain I could get gas while I was out .

When I tried to bring this information up to billing they said it is legal. They did the same with tolls we paid our own tolls . He asked if I had receipts. If I was told I did not need to pay for toll I wouldn’t I told him I would pay my own tolls.
