My DMV ID expired on 11/27. I applied for a new one on 11/29 and I was issued a temporary one. I went to the Cspital One brsnch at 1502 Church Ave. In Brooklyn on 11/30 to cash a check, they refused to cash my check even when I presented a temporary ID from DMV.

On 11/30 I went to another Capital one branch, the temporary ID was accepted and my check was cashed. I demand to be treated with respect; I have been with this bank since it was The Bowery, 41 years now.

Some of the new tellers at that Church Ave. Branch need to be properly trained in the protocols of ID acceptance and to be respectful of the Clients. I had other arragements on that day, that is the reason why I did not close out my accounts and go Bank of America, which I am still considering.

Why was my temporary ID accepted…

I have been dealing with this bank for over 25 yrs and have never been as frustrated as I am now. I have made 3 deposits in the last few days and only part has been posted to my account.

Who ever heard of a bank holding a cashiers check from another bank for 5 days before it can be posted to a customers account. I have opened many cd's with several different banks using a cashiers check and have never been told the check had to be verified. Absolutely ridiculous.

Also my husband made a deposit into my account from his chase account and now that check is being held. Capital One obviously has never heard of customer service.

If I could give them a 0 star rating I would. They allowed someone to open a credit card in my husband name that is incarcerated. When I tried to report fraud they could not speak to me because I was not an authorized user on the account.

Neither is the person you allowed to open the account. So I can’t report it as fraud.

First off, I’m married to him I know all his information I don’t need you to give me any personal information.

Second off, you didn’t require identity when the account was opened by someone else. Worst company ever. Truth Is they can’t speak to me because they was in the wrong.

Disputed payment, November 15, 2022, Amount $81. Service provider: Kempsville Dental. Case Number 221115175504669. Was informed would receive temporary payment. Did not. Nor was I contacted. Received statement in which this amount shows up still. Case is not resolved. How can you ask me to make the payment?

Details of complaint: Dentist's office misfiled my treatment details with my insurance company, which had informed dentist to refile. Apparently the dentist has not corrected their error yet.

Please assign credit of $81 to my account..

I was mis informed about my payments being returned. I was told there insufficient funds, but on my app it does not appear insufficient funds, it says “Returned mobile ACH payment CONA. which caused my account to be closed. I spoke to one supervisor who could not help me, so she connected me to another higher up supervisor and told me to hold.

Suddenly minutes after being on hold someone hung up the call, and never called me back. I am very disappointed. This is my first credit card and I am a unsatisfied customer, and I do not recommend Capital One to anyone 0 stars.

Yesterday I called Capital One to question a charge & my card was locked & deactivated. I told the person I did not want that because it is the only card I have & use. The person lied to me & told me I could still use the card until it was investigated. My fault for relying solely on Capital One !!! Apparently a new card was sent but don't know the number or when I will receive it. I talked to a person last night who was apparently in Costa Rica, then after no help, the person hung up on me. I am very very disappointed with Capital One !!!

I attempted to get help setting up a $10,000.00 CD and the diction of your customer service person made it impossible to understand the directions he was giving me. I understand your need to save money (you're worth 421B) and this is achieved by setting up some services in other countries, but you are doing a disservice to older people(who have money) who have difficulty understanding foreigners with heavy accents. I find it odd that when you initially call customer service you get clear precise language.

In June of 2022 I noticed several fraudulent charges on my Capital One Credit Card. I was traveling and had my card set to auto pay through my bank account. I notified the company by telephone that I did not recognize the charges.

I’m seeking assistance with payout of $450 (Promo Code SAVE22) for opening a 360 Performance Savings account from April 27-June 29 and depositing at least $50,000 from externally sourced funds and hold for at least 90 days. On May 3, 2022 at 12:46pm Capital One employee Briselda assisted me in set-up of a 360 Performance Savings account.

Employee Adriana deposited my check of $50,000 external funds. Briselda was unable to enter SAVE22 on the account. She called someone else and then told me not to worry. She said the SAVE22 code could be entered at end of 99 days period but prior to withdrawal of funds.

My new card was sent to me on 22 November to the WRONG address. I called 3 times and told to wait couple more days. Today 4 December 2022 I asked to speak to a "supervisor" and first she said it was on the mail back to them, she also denied that I call 3 different times very unprofessional.

I told her that my other Capital One card account had the CORRECT address and she just "brush me off"... End up requesting a new card... Excuses and apologize are not acceptable.

Called to speak with CS relative to waiving a LF. I was given the run around abt waiving the fee & was not provided a valid reason as to why the fee cld not be waived. I do not have a history of making late payments which shld hve been enough reasoning in waiving the LF.

They set up a min pymt then charged fees for being over the limit.. makes no sense to me at all. I wasn’t over the limit & I paid my payment however the finance charge may have threw it over so they charged $40 fee I was in the hospital for some time so it added up.

When I spoke to customer service it was similar to speaking to a machine. I stopped the routine pymts drafting from my acct however they continued to allow my manual transactions plus the scheduled which I had cancelled. This created more fees as I was not adjusting my bank for this. 100percent dissatisfied

I had my capital one credit card for about 4 years and I recently went though 2 hurricanes, I explained to them how our home was flooded out and how devastating everything has been. And because recently I made a couple payments (not monthly, just extra ones) and my bank for some reason didn’t cover the transactions even though I put the money in on time after realizing that I didn’t have enough to cover them, they deactivated my card.

No sympathy, no understanding for customers who go though major/ state of emergency disasters. I offered to have them call my bank to show that I put money in immediately after finding out. So next time I evacuate my family and I will just be out of luck.

This company has no compassion and does NOT care about their loyal customers at all!!!

Yesterday 11/29/2022 I called Capital One for questioning about 2 charges from "Ancestry" which I have NOT made. Not only I was told that capital one can not help me but I was told to resolve the issue myself. The agent listed in this complaint asked very rudely to contact Ancestry and request them to cancel a membership that I have no idea how appeared in my account.

I would like to mention that I have been a Capital One customer for over 12 years now with 0 balance in my account and or every time using the card always made my payments on time and with credit over 800 how can capital one do this? I called Capital One last week to ask about a charge on my statement and to simply provide me with the name of whom I had made this payment to. The representative was unable to give me this information and for no reason at all, canceled my credit card without my knowledge, my permission or my authorization.

I never told the rep that this charge was an error and that I was not responsible for it, and I never told the rep that this was a fraudulent charge. I asked to speak with his supervisor who then advised me how to find out who I had made this payment to.

I did what she advised and had my answer.

However, and much to my dismay, the supervisor could not reverse the cancellation of my credit card. I was told to call the fraud department the following day to discuss this occurrence, but…

I have been a client almost 5 yrs.. I make multiple payments weekly to continue use with my credit card. My last payment was made 11/23/22 & I just talked to an associate who states my card won’t be available for use till 12/20/22 bc there is a hold on it to verify funds..

the funds have already left my bank.. cap one has their money.. but I can’t use my card. I have never heard of a 30 day hold for funds availability on a CC.

I used Capital One Travel to book a car rental pickup via Dollar rental car. Confirmation: H-16983519517 (pickup DFW on Nov 22, 2022). 95 When I reached the car rental place, there was a HUGE line (see attached image). After almost an hour of standing in line, the line did not progress much.

I would have had to wait 3-4 hours to get to the customer service rep. for the rental car pickup! I just couldn’t bring myself to wait for that long in the line. I value my time much more than that.

I called Capital One many times to bring the issue to their attention and get my refund. But I have been refused because I didn’t want to stand 4+ hours in line. I find it absolutely unacceptable that it is considered normal to stand in line for 4+ hours!

After 18 plus years not one but all four of my Capone were closed two without balance. After several noticing that a couple recent payments had not been deberes I researched to find that the account not selected was listed as the withdrawal account.

Despite never being notified by either my bank nor myapp alert settings… I was told well we are sorry???? After 18 credit cards a 24 year banking history??? No bueno Cap One!!!!!

Had a check sent to me and my girlfriend with both our names on it... Capital one froze my checking and savings account because of a name error on the check.... Called them multiple times and was told to just get the name of the person who wrote the check to fix the issue, got the name and called back only to be told they need the number as well...

Which was not stated before... After alot of attitude they told me there is nothing they can do so they are just holding my money hostage till alot of time goes by and the check gets sent back to sender... Which could take years....

There customer service is the biggest joke.... They need to stop pretending to be a bank and just go back to loans and credit cards.

I have had a dispute going on with Super Arbor since August 2022. I have sent proof of my cancelation requests and all documentation of discussion with merchant but keep getting the run around from Cap 1 instructing me to send proof of said cancelation notice to merchant, over and over again. I have never been so frustrated nor had so much trouble with a legitimate dispute claim with any other credit card company

65 purchase, by paying a merchant using my capital one card via Venmo. When you check out at Venmo it says that there is a 3% fee. What Capital One hides is that the fee is actually "3% or $10 ... ".

If I'd have known this transaction would have cost me an extra $20 in fees, I'd have used one of my many other cards. Customer no service refused to offer any soft of fee waiver, claiming that it was mentioned in my terms and conditions on my card ...

Today had to call reference suspected fraud on my card. Understand that, however, it appears Capital One has sent it services overseas to a foreign Country. This is the third time I have experienced talking to someone who barely speaks English!

This is extremely frustrating especially for someone my age (73). I have been with Capital One for many years and have both credit card and savings account. It appears I need to look at another service company that I can talk to if I have a problem.

I have been with Capital One for years. I have just experienced unacceptable Customer Care. I received notice that my bill was not paid. That surprised me, as I pay my bills on time always. So I called Customer Service and he was not able to help and I asked for a Supervisor.

I ordered a product I never received. Dispute department is a total joke. Ruled against me w/o reading my submission 10 pages of facts, photos and other exhibits making it obvious to a child that I was a victim of a scam.

kept having me send copies of the same documents. Bbb and other watchdog agencies issued scam warnings. Ultimately I was asked to produce a third copy of the receipt which I mailed again. This time they denied me the same day they requested the receipt. Completely incompetent.

I am locked out my online account and can not get online in a month. I have talked to Atlanta five different customers service agents and supervisor and still locked out. One day I was signing in and the next day I could not sign in.

Today I attempted to purchase some merchandise with my Capital one card. 72. I immediately received a text from Capital One asking to verify the legitimacy transaction. " I attempted to finalize my order, but since the card was declined, I had to start the transaction from the beginning.

Two people was in the lobby the guy name was Evin the lady I couldnot see her badge she was braids her hair she looks like black(African American). Very disappointed in how Capital One is never available to help their customers.

First of all these are personal accounts and every time I call to get some help I get transfer to someone from another Country that hardly understands me and me them. I have a Capital One 360 Savings account and a Checking account, I refuse to give any personal information to someone in another country.

Other places I have accounts, they answer promptly and are in the USA where we live, not in Nigeria or Philippines, etc. It’s bad enough you don’t have branches in every State and we can only depend on getting any kind of help by speaking to someone on the phone.
