I was at checkers GatewayWhere more than 20 people over head Dan an Indian guy bakery supervisor shouting and screaming at the bakery assistant lady who was late for her duties.The lady's name is Sli.Yes as a supervisor you can be angry at your stuff but you don't have right to shout scream point fingers in front of customers.The supervisor doesn't have management skills he needs more training or he must be demoted. Hi I'm a loyal Checkers customer but was deeply dissatisfied with a product I bought. I usually get great service from the staff at Checkers Sandton specialy the floor staff. But to my dissatisfaction I bought a pack of meat which was such a disgrace.
Only small bones, there were like 4 pieces with meat on, I just couldn't believe my eyes that a highly graded store like Sandton Checkers could sell such a disgrace to their loyal customers. I'm deeply disappointed really. I'm not able to apply the picture, not sure why, but can provide you with it.
They knowingly charged me 2 for $12 Combo, when the special was 2 for $8 Combo. When I drove in the sign read 2 for 12. The cashier said 2 for $8? There was a long PAUSE. She didn't ask for the kinds of drinks, until I drove to the window.
In hind sight I can see what they did, and why they had that long PAUSE. I was not informed of the special in other words, I was lied to and cheated. I called back to the store, but, no answer.
I would like to be compensated for the dishonesty.
I’ve registered for the xtra savings card since the system began & for 2++ years trying to register & the systems says that I’m invalid with all my details ! No one actually wants to assist ! I’m now excluded from competitions !

As a very long loyal Customer i had a couple of disappointing experience’s from this store. Twice i ask assistance for some products - they take my name and number but No one did any effort to contact me - i will never go and ask for any assistance because it seems after you are gone they chuck it in the dustbin.
Couple of times i want to buy prepaid electricity then they are offline and i have to go somewhere else.
This morning went in to get some chicken that is on special again the response out of stock , no effort , no plan to resolve - i am very very disappointed and are considering of moving my shopping to P & P after many years because this place management is non existing.

Went to checkers on elmwood last night to get 10 classic wings and a large sweet tea around 8:30- 9:00pm . I get home and the wings were not fresh they had been sitting for awhile and I have been in the bathroom all night .

I was waiting for someone to give me a price tag at the vegetable scale. After waiting for quite a few long minutes i decided to print the tag myself as i was with my elderly mother and i could not wait any more. Out of the blue this young worker from Checkers Windermere Durban approached me and said he would lodge a complaint to his manager as i am apparently not allowed to use the scale. I'm very frustrated and disappointed right now. It was my 1st time placing an order on Sunday 29/8/2021 and customer service was very very poor. Two of the items (i.e Crosse & Blackwell 750g and Beetroot) from my order was damaged. The Driver ( Nyukura Obeda) dropped the package and the items broke in front of my office. He took pics and said he escalated the matter, but still there's no feedback. I still don't have my items with me.
I'm very disappointed with customer service because I've been escalating this matter since Sunday, but no response.
Please refund me my money, I don't want these items anymore, since it's taking very long to deliver.

I recently visited your Canal Walk branch and bought my lunch but on my arrival back to work I found that the quarter chicken leg I bought was over salty and the chicken was as dry as rubber. I’m sure this is not the normal chicken that I normally know and love but I had to address this cause it was such a disappointment to me.

At teller 5 around 15:30 and 16:00, the teller was chatting with another lady who also works there, few minutes later a second lady came over and they continued to chat. I asked if they were assisting they said the computer is stuck because of electricity.
We waited for another 5 minutes and finally decided to go to onother till. Only to notice that the lady at teller 5 was just assisting her colleagues pay for sausage and other small items and there was no technical error at all. BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Good day Yesterday 04 August 2021 i bought some pork bangers from the butchery section of Checkers in Da Gama Road in Jeffreys Bay. We were suppose to have it for supper. Once we started roasting them in the oven it started smelling.
I checked the package and the BB was 05/08/2021. About a month ago i bought some venison mince from the same outlet and it was wrotten. We you return these good they feel very sorry but this is not good at all.

I understand the difficulty in converting Shoprite, Bothasig to Checkers, but the lack of pricing is really problematic. As an item is placed on display, the price should be displayed simultaneously. I had to make several trips to the scanner today and even a scanned product didn't register at the till.
This cause a long, frustrating delay while an employee went to find a different code. What is even more frustrating, though, is the bottle store. You're not allowed to take the trolley with groceries into the store as only the new , specially designed trolleys are allowed in there.

I’ve tried to order food on four different occasions and have never gotten it. I made an order last night, paid for it, and never got my food or money back. I have gone to checkers twice to get a refund and every time they tell me to come back.
I asked for a number to call and the number I got was invalid. I then called customer service and got hung up on. I have spent too much gas money and time on trying to get this refund- I need a number to someone I can speak to about this. It’s outrageous.

Pathetic customer service from cashier to management. Equipment malfunction and no apology for making me wait 20 minutes for a Cappuchino at the Kiosk. If the management can't treat customers right, what exactly are they teaching their cashier's who are bound to take over their rolls one-day. Not impressed
The fries were completely soggy / oil soaked and disgusting. This clearly indicates incorrect oil temperature to crust the outside and stop oil absorption. I talked to the manager. But she didnt understand Frying 101.
We make use the 60 minute deliveries in order to avoid unessasiraly contact in a store. This is now the 5th time we order and have to pay the delivery costs and either receive incorrect items or short supply .
We order 30 items today receive 22 items of which a item was incorrect . We stay in glen marias and see the items come from norkempark in kemptonpark that store is not good at all. Fresh products is also not always fresh.
Previous order we received bread rolls which was all squashed. Not happy at all.
Ordered chicken mother cruncher sandwich No mayo, or sauce of any kind. I waited 20 min in 95 degree weather and another 20 mon for a sandwich full of mayo, bbq sauce, and loaded with pickles. I was so angry I took the sandwich, put it back in the bag and took the back to the window.
Since no one was willing to speak with me, I left it there. Don't think I'll go back there again and I'm going let everyone I know about my experience.
No name brand chips. Absolutely bad quality. One expects the quality shown on the packaging, not the pathetic cuts shown in my photo here. REALLY disapointed. And I bought TWO 1KG bags which I will not be consuming. Disgusted.
I have been trying to get through to the pharmacy for over an hour. I then phoned Checkers to he told that they cant put me through. Surely if there is something wrong the switchboard should be aware. I have been dealing with the pharmacy for years and everytime a new script is forwarded to them they can never find it.

Im very dissapointed in this store. Bought kreepy frkm Edenvale in November last year. This manager, a black guy could not get his name, told me he will not help me. "I am the Manager and you must go back to Edenvale. I will not help you." That was hi words.
So I went to Edenvale. Total opposite experience received. The manager there, Marinus assited me with no problem and I left happy. I want to praise this man for the great service.
