On May 11, 2021, while on vacation passing through Hollister, CA, enroute to San Benito, CA, (Thousand Trails RV Resort) driving my 2020 Ram 2500, Longhorn, Crew Cab, pulling my 35 ft Rockwood Travel Trailer, the truck engine began to make loud clacking, popping sounds. It sounded almost like a broken rod or exhaust leak.
No warning lights were activated. I pulled to the side, and opened the hood. The noise was persistent, but I could not locate the source, other than in the engine. I was able to make it to an auto service garage.
The service technician felt it maybe a valve lifter, or something along these lines. Since the truck is still under manufacture warranty (ONLY 2,300 MILES) the technician stated he would not attempt to repair the engine. I then contacted Mopar who were very…
