I have had two Citi cards for over 10 years, not had a late payment, make salary in 2%, have credit scores > 800. Applied for Diamond Preferred card and was denied. Reason given: too many recent credit inquiries. Number of recent credit inquiries: one.

I removed freezes from the 3 credit agencies in order to refresh a home loan pre-approval and get a credit card. Took a half an hour and multiple numbers and transfers but made it to person in order to request reconsideration.

Told this was "hard stop" and denied a card. Walking away today now with an extra credit inquiry from Citi and nothing to show for it but disdain for the folks at Citi.

On 4/27/2021 I received a text and phone call from Citibank about a fraud alert. I entertained the call and said that I am not authorizing a transaction from my debit account from another state. After the conversation I had with the supposedly Citibank rep, I called the number that appeared on my phone which was from Citibank and verified about the said transaction amount not showing up in my account.

The lady I spoke to stated that the report is still probably being written and finished and will be available later that afternoon. When I checked my email that night, there were 3 wire transfer transactions from my checking and savings account.

Very deceptive promotion on their bonus frequent flyer miles. BEWARE. I saw an invitation on my American Airlines Credit Card Website that I could earn 30,000 to 60,000 miles by opening up a bank account with Citibank and directly link one or two recurring payments.

Because I found it on my American Airlines Credit Card site, I assumed that it was linked to that credit card. 00 each month, I talked with a sales rep. who said, no, you had to use the debit card they had sent you!

I call that deceptive practice when Citibank is advertising on the American Airlines Credit card site. And why would I want to use my debit card for anything? No frequent flyer miles! Lesson learned. I will immediately close the Citibank checking account.

In beginning of month February 2021, I opened 3 new accounts in CitiBank. Previously I was holding (still continuously as of today) DIAMOND PREFERED MASTER CARD. 00 I will be eligible to received bonus of $300. Two months later , (about 60 days) I called CitiBank trying to confirmed this 60 days bonus of $300.

On May 10, 2021 I contacted Citi Bank when I tried to access my husbands account which I was also on the account, only to find out they cancelled this account. After calling I was eventually transferred to PHILLIPS & COHEN ASSOCIATES LTD.

I ALWAYS HAD AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS SET UP TO PAY THE MONTHLY BILL. without any notice they drop this account to a collection agency without any consideration of me. My husband died December 11, 2020 and since this card was only used at COSTCO I completely FORGOT TO NOTIFY COSTCO OR CITI BANK.

I had someone charge numerous charges to my debit account from April 14-May 2, 2021 of this year. I don’t really use the card that often and I’ve had the account for at least 20 years or more. I’ve never had trouble with my account so I never felt the need to really check it unless money was missing.

This time I noticed there was a significant amount of money missing from my account. I went inside a branch near my home to discuss this situation and I spoke with a manager whom was suppose to block the account and I was told I would receive a new card.

Good morning , on Wednesday I visited a Citibank branch on Rockaway Blvd in Ozone Park, Queens . I merely Wanted to withdraw some money . After being a customer for over 20 years, I was horrified to experience that the ATM machine Suddenly failed and I was unable to retrieve My card.

I spoke the the representative At the desk repeatedly and she merely told me to keep pressing cancel! The manager never came out if his/ her office and I was unable to Retrieve my card for 20 mins! Customers kept coming in and no one was telling Them not to use the machines.

The front desk representative told us that it was happening since 9am!!! There were no out of order signs posted !

A Block has been placed on my account about a week ago , I have submitted all supporting documents to the bank to release the block and now im geeting the run around and transferred all around I am being told before they hang up in my face some one will contact me within 24 to 48 hours which of course has never happened... the customer service with this bank is HORRIBLE and no one care !!!!

I have a new card that was verified before I left for my trip across the country - used the card at the car rental and hotel. Went to a store and it was declined but I received a text asking if it was me using the card and I verified that it was.

Tried using it at a restaurant and it was declined. Thank God I had cash. I called the 800# and was told they could not verify my card using my telephone number but would not say why - said I'll be receiving a letter in the mail in 7-10 days.

In the meantime I am traveling and it is my only credit card. Not sure what I going to do. Hope I can make it home Horrible horrible horrible customer service. I will cut up the card and send it back once I return

I would like to complain about one of your collectors that was so rude and harsh in dealing with me. I was trying to arrange for a possible moratorium on my account that I was not able to continue paying because of some family financial problems brought about by the pandemic but

I can't make proper arrangement because she just kept on talking and talking without giving me a chance to talk. I could not have returned her call if I am not willing to pay my account. We were not able to agree on any terms as a result because she did not give me a chance. ).

I know my right as a consumer that I can complain to the Central Bank about this per BSP Circular 454. I just feel bad and disappointed because I returned her call to arrange a payment scheme but I was not treated nicely.

I have been attempting to reach someone at the Grasmere branch in Staten Island NY on the telephone but no one answers the phone. I wanted to gather information about applying for a credit card. Due to Covid I am not comfortable going in person.

Received a fraud alert. Spent over one hour verifying all charges as well as any other questions required for verification. Spoke to 5 supervisors who assured that my credit was ok. While they were on the phone they asked to put thru the charges again and it would pass. It NEVER did.

They then asked to break up the amount so we did. that was approved. The other charge for $3,733 834 was denied. There was NO reason for any of this to be denied. After calling for he fifth time the supervisor was the rudest person I had ever spoken weigh.

I bought a heater and air conditioner through Costco with the understanding that I should put it on my card to get a Costco cash card and rewards from Citi-Bank. I was denied because my credit limit was $10,000. I called Citi-Bank to requested a $5000or $4000 credit increase to cover the balance of the A/C and heater.

They claim I have too much out standing credit for my $52,600 income. I pay all my credit cards in full each month. I own two houses and have no mortgages. Tell me how I can have too much out standing credit.

My belief is they do not want to give the rewards. I show two different credit scores one for 793 and another for 753. So tell me how I am a bad risk. I would like my credit increase to $14,000.

I need to wire money to escrow co to buy a house went to local office this morning at 11:00 am and after 4 hours , the money is still did not wire out, went bank to bank , local banker said they did everything around 11:10 then manager got hold of the central wire dept and .etf then supervisors .... after hour later , they still can not do anything about it . My husband passed away and I talked to a representative to let them know he asked me questions and before I knew it he closed out our account and said it was no longer available to me I would have to apply for a new account. I lost all my points and will have to go through the hassle of applying again.

We have never been late with a payment and have been with them for many years. I should have been told what would happen when closing it. Loosing a loved one and then they do this. VERY POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS.

I've never seen such a heartless company in my life. How are you or your company going to add interest during a national disaster on a credit card that closed. How are you or your company going to add interest on a payment plan that you want to get this paid off so we don't have to see you again.

Terrible experience. I have been a credit card customer for about ten years, and never had a problem. In August 2020 I received alert on my BestBuy credit card (through CitiBank) asking if I was out of state Dining on the east coast. I replied NO.

In fact fraud had happened on my card to the tune of about $18,000. I quickly made a phone report to Citibank detailing each and every fraudulent charge and they said they would handle it. I received a letter a few weeks later stating that the fraudulent charges were corrected.

I submitted a citibank online $5000 external transfer (ACH transfer) to my bank of hope checking account on 4/22/21. It was supposed to be done by 4/27/21. I got a call from the Citibank fraud dept on 4/23 to call back to verify this transfer and I did call back on 4/23/21 to verify the activity.

However, this external transfer has not been completed. I was on the phone for two hours with a citibank customer service supervisor and hung up twice on 4/28. I called back on 4/29 and on the phone for almost two hours and got hung up again 3 times.

First of all, want to say that Citi has a super useful card with good perks and easy rewards. But all of this is meaningless if the card/company is not properly supported in terms of technical or customer support. It is not secret that Citi has outsourced much of their customer service to Philippines and India (assuming based on accent). While these call centers are great to handle basic issues, they quickly become a complete nightmare when dealing with more complex or challenging issues.

On 4/23/2021 I called citi bank to help my elderly mother make an address change. (She is Spanish speaking) In the process of making the address change I accidently hung. When I called back the second time, the man I spoke to was very rude.

He needed authorization from my mother to speak to me which is understandable and I put her on the phone. I over heard him ask her for her account number and I jumped in said she might not be able to give that information.

I've called a good 25 times over the course of two months for them to explain why my account has been closed and will I get my money back from said closed account. They don't have a department for it, you can ask for a supervisor cause the call reps.

This correspondence is regarding one of the disputes I made on December 21, 2021. The one I am referring to is for $2,375.30 for a couch that was ordered on November 12, 2020. I ordered this couch online from 1StopBedroom. This dispute was handled by Citibank MasterCard or via MasterCard only in such a disturbing way that I am writing to complain about how this was handled and that even the letter that I was supposed to receive via regular USPS mail never showed up. There were three tries to get this settled so that I could get my money for this purchase refunded.

I had a Best buy credit card through Citibank and at the time I was in a bankruptcy and Citibank was notified of the bankruptcy and they blocked me out of my account so I couldn't cancel my ACH. They stole $33.85 from my account which they had no right to take because they did have notice of the bankruptcy. Every time I've called customer service I got the runaround and they told me they were going to mail me the check and they never did I'm still waiting for my check for $33.95

I opened a checking and savings account a few months ago . I had a substantial amount of money deposited in the checking account and savings account. I tried to transfer some of my money to an account I have in California which I opened in La Jolla, CA in anticipation of me and my fiancé to move to California.

Well I messed up the transfer causing an error but when I called Citibank customer service to get assistance I was informed, by my surprise that my account has been locked down, my debit card suspended and my access to mobile banking and online banking were cut off. I applied for a refinance in September 2020, and my closing has been changed 4 times. No one contacts me ever, I have to check on my mortgage online to find out my closing was changed again. I have about 40 emails to everyone that is and was involved in my refinance and most of the emails go unanswered.

Citi has successfully ruined my credit. They keep lowering my credit limit when I have been on time for 2 years now. My score is lowering bc they keep lowering my limit, which makes my available credit balances so low.

I wouldn’t ever use these cards again for anything. I have 2 cards and had Covid so had to use one and then my lowered my limit by thousands of dollars. I think $12,000 in total and they base their decision on my credit score that they single handedly ruined by lowering my credit limits.

They have lowered my limit 4 times now, in less than a year, and it is destroying my credit. I never maxed out any of their cards but when they lower the credit limit they max out my cards and lower my scores.

I am a citi bank multiple card holder and wanted to begin full service banking with citi... a promotion to open checking and savings was offered. I applied. An online transfer of $15,500 went to the checking account and $35,000 to the savings to fulfil the $700 bonus requirement.

I received a returned deposit check due to the endorsement being different then the account name. I received this by overnight mail in the afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The attached letter stated to call customer service and it was difficult to get an agent.

The agent could not help and directed me to a branch 50 miles away. Before jumping into traffic I asked if she could hold the pending returns. I closed my checking account with CitiBank more than two months ago. There was a balance on checking account and I agreed to have a check mailed to me because it was promised to arrived between 10-15 business days. 6 phone call later and 2 months later, I still haven't received the check!

Every time I have a question and/or issues, instead of making a telephone call, I always attempt to go through their "Chat Line" and I have tried numerous times to get a solution via their "Chat Line". I have experienced that the chat line employee of Citibank will say anything to get you off their Chat.

They have never been able to assist me with anything. Frankly speaking I do not know what they are good for and I found out through one of the employees "chatting" with them that they are located somewhere in Southeast Asia, and

by their names it is probably the Phillippines, at any rate, I think that Citibank would save a lot of money by dropping this "Chat Service" simply because they are totally useless. Citi used to have a "Contact service" via their website, but in the last 4 years…

My deceased brother had a Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi. On January 11, I notified Citi by fax of his passing, sent in my Letters of Administration and also included a letter of direction. Those instructions have been ignored, I attempted to call today and was mortified that even though the statement clearly notes a credit balance, the number given was for account recovery, and then I was transferred to Probate.

I then had the displeasure of speaking with Rhianna, ID 18866626. Rude and condescending don't begin to cover it, and she got more belligerent as she went along. And had to gall to offer "condolences" on our loss. I attempted to call your corporate office to make a complaint, and what a joke that was. So here we are. 65.

On April 2 I used a bubba's pro shop credit card to book a flight to Cleveland Ohio. On April 4 I tried to use the same credit card to book a rental car. You put a security alert on the card and I could not use it.

I called city bank and talked to 2 employees for a total of 45 minutes to get the card activated again. When I went to book the car the card was denied again. I called Citi bank again. This time to activate the card I had to send pictures of my drivers license.

Of course the link did not work and I can't use the card of get a rental for my trip. I was lied too by citi employees many times during this whole process. I can't use the card.
