Problems with my Citi Bank Priority Debit card. On Friday 5-20-2022 I experienced a problem with my card being denied at my local gas station. Confused because it worked the day before with no problem. So I went to another station where it was also denied?

I then called the number on the back of the card and spoke to not one but several Citi bank customer reps and was told that there was some suspicious activity that day in the amounts of $125 & 75 dollars. I went thru questions and answers with all reps.

finally speaking to a supervisor. I advised him what I was told also that your reps show that I entered my pin number wrong, which I didn't. He sent my cell a link to confirm my pin which I did.

He advised me all looks okay and he didn't see any suspicious activity and wasn't sure what…

Citibank is the Absolute Worst Banking Service i have received in all my many years of banking in financial services !!! Poor quality service, poorly trained staff, excuses blaming customers for their own mistakes. Blocking legitimate transactions and transfer requests from the customer and then accusing the customer of fraud or implied as such is one of their latest tricks to delay or cancel payments due or late delivery because of inconvenient an unnecessary security checks and validation. I have been through this process so may times and wrongly accused with no apology given. Sick and tired of this truly awful bank.

I have had a citibank account for the last 20 years. Checking and multiple savings. On Friday May 13th, my husband and I opened a joint checking account and deposited a $57,000 check from our attorney. The check was from a refinance mortgage we took out.

I was assured by Jacqueline Mendez, the branch manager at citibank that this joint account was NOT connected to my personal account. On Saturday May 14th, while at the gas station, my personal debit card was declined. I looked on the citi app and my personal checking and savings accounts were GONE!!!! MISSING!

According to a friend of mine whom I sent a $4,373.85 check written out by one if your employee’s in the fraud deposit, due to citibank closing my account on February 27 due to fraud in my account, 4 waiting fir thst check after one excuse after the other on why they couldn’t send it.. I just received it on may 9. Now, my friend went to cash it today, may 14. At her bank. Her bank said your check you write out to me is a fraud. What the living hell is going on. I was using my Citibank checking account for direct deposit of my Social Security and for paying bills. I tried to login one day and got an error message that I needed to call customer service. I called customer service and was transferred to the fraud department.

I was told that there was suspicious activity on my account and it had been closed. The next day my Social Security was deposited. I created a transfer connection to an estate account at Wells Fargo and it was tested twice by Citibank and found to be in working order. I viewed the transactions myself online. I then proceeded to Citibank online and made a transfer but the final webpage had different routing and account numbers. The wire transfer expert had no idea how to help.

The system doesn't allow one to see that the routing and acct numbers are correct prior to making the transfer. I cancelled the transfer and then was charged triple the wire transfer charges.

My father, Albert Ruenes passed away september 2021. My brother and I were his beneficieries on his ROTH IRA held with citibank. We submitted the initial letter requesting the payout to San Antonio and it took 6 weeks to receive more papers to be filled out.

This was completed by my brother and I over 6 weeks ago. I have called five times inquiring as to when the funds will be distributed. I was told 10 - 15 days for months. As of this date we have yet to recieve our money.

You can't really do business with them - long waiting time, redirects, unprofessional customer service, they are a total disaster! Their ATM's keep breaking, once you put your deposit checks etc etc etc. Most importantly, just try to call them and solve your issue - good luck!

On March 25 my checking account had funds withdrawn without my consent. Someone called me and stated they were from citibank fraud department and stated there was some fraudulent activity on my account. Not aware this was a person not with citibank I noticed funds were being taken from my account.

I immediately went to the citibank branch and reported what had just taken place. The account was closed and I opened a new account. My claim was denied for replacement of the funds taken from my account because the fraud department stated they could not reach me by phone.

I signed up for the best but Citibank card almost 2 months ago and still haven’t received my card in the mail!!! I have called at least 6 times to never get the problem fixed or be HUNG UP on, on at least TWO occasions by different representatives.

The fraud department placed a block on my account and told me the account had to be closed. This happened more than 3 months ago. 00 in the account released and sent to me. Every time I contact the fraud department I am told that they cannot verify my phone number so they cannot release the hold on the account and send me my money.

I have had my phone number for four months and anybody that I call gets my name on their caller ID. Whatever firm your fraud department uses to validate phone numbers does not have my correct information obviously. I have never been treated so poorly as Citibank fraud department has treated me.

I tried to do the right thing and setup a payment plan to pay off my account. After a representative told me to start making my payments at the 1st of the month I did as instructed. I was then charged again on the 7th which caused my checking account to overdraft.

My only request was that the extra payment be applied as the May 2nd payment and I would continue with the agreement with the June payment. The representative today refused to accommodate this therefore I find myself in the situation that CitiBank has not honored the agreement on their end and has therefore given up any claim to future payments.

Due to this fact I will be making no additional payments on this agreement as it is now null and void.

Never bank with citi. So what happened was, I recently reported fraudulent activity on my card. So citibank disputed the charge and canceled my old card and sent me a new one. The next day, the new card comes and I was trying to activate it.

But apparently, citibank changed my PIN without me knowing which means i can’t call customer service and after several failed attempts at trying to activate the card, my account was completely locked! This company is a joke and is that worst company i have ever dealt with!

I am a long standing holder of CitiBank credit cards. I am very disappointed in the poor service in resolving my fraud complaint. xx on my account ending 9846 dated February 17th 2022. These were fraudulent charges. I did not make these purchases.

Citi's fraud department states" the investigation is complete and that a credit will not be issued" They recommend reviewing my account to see if the merchant has posted a credit. No such credit has been given to me. xx. A review of my statement shows these charges have not been removed. xx total.

I should be refunded this money. I have made multiple calls to the fraud department, and have been told that the account will be adjusted to refund me the money but that has not happened. On three calls today, I was disconnected.

Terrible customer service. My mom doesn’t speak perfect English so I was trying to help her close her Cd account through customer service. The rep was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. In the end, we were unable to get my moms account verified by my mom herself.

The rep was extremely rude speaking to my mom. Worst service ever I hope they audit her call and realize this agent was unable to locate her account. We went into the branch afterwards which was a 30 min drive, that’s why we tried to go through the phone first.

And then we immediately were able to close her cd in person without all this hassle the rep on the phone put us through.

I filed a dispute, case# B-192108030322, for a service from Execucar. 7 on November 24th to be picked up at LAX on January 6th.

However, due to covid, I had to change my travel plans. I updated Execucar on their website to be picked up on Feb 24th at the same time. Even though I received a confirmation email from them, they did not pick me up.

When I called them from LAX, the driver said that he didn't know anything about picking me up. I called their office and they said that they would get back to me in 14 days, which they DID NOT, so I filed a dispute as mentioned above.

I"m relocated from Germany. My time in the US will end 2022 April, 8. Therefore I closed my Citi Bank Credit card account and my Citi Bank Miles ahead Savings account on February, 22. Citibank promised me to send me a check with my balance during the next 10-15 business days by mail.

Unfortunately this check never arrived. I made more than 10 attempts to call them and find a solution. No success. The people working on the telephone support are difficult to understand. I requested a call back from a supervisor or manager.

Citi credit card allowed me to pay off my entire balance 9 months ago and close the account but now I just got an email saying they will send my unpaid balance to collections if I don't pay it off. So I call Citi and they say they can't access my account bc I closed it so I was like what do I do so now I have to contact collections and

I am an exist Citi bank customer. I see the advisement from citi. you will reward $1000 when you open citi bank account with deposit $50k. My wife just start a new business. therefore we open a business account with city.

I wrote a check $47000 from my citi account, deposit through ATM to this new account. it is very absurd thing happen to me. I got phone called from City to verify the check. I told her yes, it is my check.

I called to have a simple computer glitch fixed and was transferred 9 times to different departments in a 2 hour call which in the first hour they blocked my account. So the issue I originally called for never got solved and I was passed from person to person who asked how they could help before shipping me to the next person with no help. My online access has been blocked for over a week. I have called everyday for the past 10 days and getting no where. I was told on Saturday that my account was compromised so they sent me a new card.

Citibank's customer "service" is COMPLETELY BROKEN. Each time I call them, the service is WORSE, not better. I have had an unresolved dispute for 2-years where I submitted all documentation to the address they provided, only to receive a letter 3 months later indicating it was in the wrong department and would be sent to the "correct department" but never stating what the correct department is, and also listing an incorrect amount (only 1/2 of the charge) for the dispute.

I wrote a check that had bounced. When I had verified that I had wrote the check and $4,366 was deposited into my account. Since February 24, 2022 I have been denied access to my account. They are also closing my account.

On 2/23/22, I telephoned Citi and requested a payoff statement and was told that it could not be emailed and provided the fax number. I was told I would receive it within 48-hours. I did not. I called again on 2/25/2022 and was told that it would be another 48-hours and provided the fax number again and was told it could not be expedited.

I called on 2/26/22 and was told it could be emailed to me and I called back and spoke to another rep when I received an account statement instead of the payoff statement I requested. Today I went into my local Citibank branch to make a deposit. The manager approached me in line asking me to wear a mask. I told her that Contra Costa County Covid restrictions does not require a mask when vaccinated for Covid, she said they still require a mask for service.

I left and went to another branch and was able to make my deposit without a mask. It is not up to the branch manager to dictate and enforce Covid policy and I was in compliance with county regulations. It is my intention to move my money to a different bank.

My deposit was $180,000 but your manager didn’t care. Bad service, bad manager, overreach of authority!

After fraud activity happened on my debit card, you replaced it with another with just one digit changed, so of course the fraud happened again. When I called to get the problem resolved, it too TWO DAYS and SIX hours OF CALLS.

I then received a completely new debit card # for which I am grateful. ) resulting in my near loss of my vital home phone. When I called to get the matter rectified, your automated system did not work properly and I was led to the credit dept repeatedly, had o hang up repeatedly and by the time I got a real person I was pretty frustrated. I apologized.

--she had to send me a passcode via text which never happened and her call dropped. So I called back again, had to try several times before the automated system would work. By this time I was very angry and rude.

Called your customer service number twice just to request assistance with a first time waiver of a monthly checking account fee. Both reps could barely speak English, kept me on hold, told me they could not access account to see status of fee, would not document my call in system, nor give me a reference number or name.

I most recently spoke with a ‘Brandon’ who sounded asleep. Are you checking overseas to see the quality of your reps? I’ve been a member of Citibank forty years, rarely call for assistance, deeply disturbed by how indifferent your reps were.
