DirecTV customers are extremely frustrated with missing local channels due to carrier disputes, compounded by poor customer service that includes long hold times, unhelpful representatives, and communication barriers. Recurring issues include technicians failing to show up for scheduled appointments and unexplained billing problems or price increases that drive customers to consider switching providers.

I turned on our TV and discovered that you made a decision to turn off one of our news outlets that we watch to get news (NewsMax) channel 349. We have been a customer of DirectTV for over 15 years.
We pay for your service because you have the station selection that we watch. I was shocked to discover that you had made a unilateral decision that effects our ability to receive a different point of view of news. As you know we have other options when it comes to service to our home.
I suspect that this is a political decision on your part and we do not share your views. We will be actively looking for a provider that gives us the selection of opinions that we are looking for. You will not force us to watch or not watch shows based on your opinion.

Cancelling NewsMax and OAN has me looking to cancel DirecTV. You can talk about contract issues all you want be I know the cancelation was do to Soros/Democrat pressure. As soon as I figure out this streaming thing I will be cancelling DirecTV.

I really dislike escalating a complaint. After 4 calls and visiting an ATT corporate store to resolve the following issue. I switched to DirectTV Stream from Direct TV in September with a termination date of October 1, 2022 and received a confirmation email. All equipment was returned via Federal Express that same timeframe. I got an email in …… stating my DirectTV was being terminated on ……. I called Direct TV to remind them my Service had already (. I thought) been turned off and equipment returned. The associate said he thought the emails looked like scam and don’t open them and delete.
So now I find out I have been billed and auto paid since October. Since I was in an accident, I hadn’t checked my bills knowing they were autopay.
I believe I am due a refund or credit for this error…

Wanted to cancel effective yesterday ( yes I know it's early termination). I was told I could not until the next billing cycle. So I am paid through Feb 6th and everything is boxed up. I pay for a service, I say I do not want it anymore and you tell me, the person who is paying when I can cancel?

Cost is very high , service is bad and most of all They dropped newsmax because direct TV has a woke agenda ! Newsmax wasn't treated the same as other news channels because they are a more conservative channel .
I have been a direct TV subscriber since it was primestar and It has been nothing but high prices and problems . Direct TV is going to collapse from greed and woke agenda . Streaming from other sources seams to be the way to go, then I can watch newsmax .

Why did you de-platform News Max. It is a great channel which I watch every evening. If you are going to go through with the de-platform I will get rid of direct TV which I have had since its inception.

A week after we got direct tv we can no longer get cbs. It is in the package we signed up for. It has been 2 months now and neither side is doing anything for the customers.

I called on November to pay my bill and bring it up do date and they gave me an amount different then what my statement showed a month later. I have been trying for several months to activate our "LOYALTY" discount. The last 3 calls, including today, I have been told that this "offer" is not available at this time. We are supposed to get $60/month for our (fake) Loyalty discount.

I was told there are no more contracts. Now I see they added a early termination fee. This was never mentioned or discussed. I am now thinking of having the equipment removed and I will take you to court if you try to charge me to a fee that was never mentioned or brought up.

DirectTV completely misled my 96 year old disabled grandmother and now she is stuck in a terrible contract. On July 16, 2022 my aunt helped my grandmother sign up for DirectTV. She spoke with Josh on the phone. My aunt emphasized to Josh that she was only going to sign up for DirectTV if they offered Court TV. Josh assured her that they do indeed offer Direct TV in their package. He also promised her a $100 Visa gift card for signing up and he gave her the email of consumerappeals@att.com if there were problems.
Everything he promised was a lie. My grandmother does NOT get Court TV, which is the only channel she was interested in. She did NOT receive a $100 Visa gift card as promised. The appeals email she was given does not work.

We have been trying to move the service from one home to our new home from El Paso to New Mexico and they send us to the movers in the Philippines first of all can't understand them and they could not make an appointment due to the system can't find the address, and we have to call the United States Postal Service to register the address.
My mother-in-law just termination her Direct TV due to very expensive she just sent her equipment back and received a confirmation that they received the equipment. We have been trying since Monday to set an appointment we went ahead and made the appointment it took us an hour because she couldn't understand us and we couldn't understand her but she started that the appointment was set for January 27th.

First of all yesterday I called to change service from the present home to a new address we did a work order but could not understand the person I asked for someone in the US and every time I called it was a person in the Philippines can't understand we went ahead and told them the street address I received an email with the wrong address.
I have called 4 different times and requested someone in the US then they hang up. This is terrible that Direct TV has call centers in different parts of the country that you can't even understand at all! And as of now have not fixed the problem.
We are CONSTANTLY LOSING SERVICE. if it slightly rains, if it's slightly windy, if its good weather. I can get pic 11 but lose CBS, ABC, NBC and most other channels. We will be looking into changing providers.
The last 3 Sundays Fox 33 KMSS out of Shreveport, LA has been blocked. I have the NFL ticket with my plan and you advertise never miss a game. I only watch the Dallas Cowboys play and I had to get a subscription from NFL just to be able to watch it on my phone because I could not watch thru direct tv.

Every year I have to renew to keep a plan, so as I did. Got a great deal with the plan I had. Then one morning my service was disconnected? Spent the next 5hrs texting, no results. Gave me a phone number and Spent 4 more hours on the phone!
Got the same price but different plan, lost some of my favorite channels. The reason for the disconnect was a error by the employee! They would not correct my original order and I was dumbfounded. Been with this company for a long long time.

I have a satellite receiver that failed. Called for a replacement on 12-17-22. I have been told multiple times by multiple CS reps that it will be or has been shipped. It is now 1-6-23 and I still have no receiver.
They tell me that they have to schedule a technician to instill a new one. It's 2 cables. Why can't they just ship me a new box via FedEx or whatever overnight so I can watch TV?

On 1/2/2023 Called for tech support. Had a new tv that would not work with 11 year old equipment. Scheduled appt for service and upgraded equipment. Appt was scheduled 1/5/2023. NO ONE showed up. Called was told tech running behind at 3:55.
At 6:55 made another call was told no appt on schedule. Asked for a supervisor put on hold and left. Called again rescheduled for 1/11/2023 9 days from initial call. Unbelievable

Would you please balance your play list on your Symphony music channel. It seems like every time I switch to Symphony, I get a Hyden or a sound alike. It has been this way for awhile. Ask a person with eclectic tastes in symphony to go through the play list and delete enough of the Hyden stuff to provide listeners with a balanced listening experience.
