We are so upset we did not spend the extra money to stay with Comcast/Xfinity. Our recorded shows at times, take forever to open. Some shows only provide minutes of recorded video. Recorded show pixelate or freeze up. Dish does not maintain the channel watched previously by room so that when you next turn on your TV you resume watching the same channel.

There is no feature to forward a page at a time when channel surfing. User has to manually scroll through each channel. Many On Demand shows cost money, including children’s series. Does not inform customer until show is selected. Dislike not being able to fast forward through commercials when watching on demand.

Some shows on demand do not let you go to the next episode without closing out and back in.

We have been a Dish customer for many years. In August of 2019 we upgraded to the Hopper. Ever since we have continuous issues and excessive down time of service. We have had our Hopper receiver replaced twice, so now I'm on my 3rd receiver.

The past issues have been loss of service requiring several phone and chat sessions to walk us through resetting. I have also done the reset process myself too many times to count. We installed the most recent receiver about 2 weeks ago.

On Friday, Feb 21st, we had a loss of signal error screen, 004, and I had to reset the system 3 times until it finally began to work correctly. On Saturday, the same message appeared and we reset the system.

Avoid like the plague!

Before I even start, be sure your willing to have your credit run numerous times - they ran mine three times in 2 days, claiming the information isn't retained - well clearly it has to be retained otherwise there would be no way of holding onto information about whether a potential customer or existing customer is credit worthy at any time!

If you don't write down AND keep everything that EVERY agent ever says to you, you WILL be called out as a liar on this. They will charge whatever they deem acceptable and will not work to resolve any issue unless YOU have proof. What is the deal? I pay for you to carry my local stations in Idaho Falls, ID and I have not had channel 6, NBC, for along time! You obviously don't care about your customers or care to negotiate with the NBC network!

What has happened to the reliable service with Dish? I have been a customer over 20 years and through those years until the last few Dish was a company that I could rely on to pay my monthly bill and have the service I expect for that payment.

I am beginning to wonder what my monthly payment actually covers, if anything. When I experience problems with Dish's product, I am now expected to either purchase insurance to cover it, pay out of pocket, and oh yes, lets not forget to sign a 2 year contract.. WOW!!

Not to mention the $5 charge you keep adding on to the bill every time you turn around. My bill has doubled in the last couple years and I am pretty much expected to pay for any problems with my service or go through the act of congress to get out of paying YOUR employees to take care…

m. AZ time I called a Dish representative to discontinue our Dish Network service because we switched to Direct TV. I do not remember his name but he was located in Colorado. If you have a recording of this call you need to listen to it and tell me if he was out of line.

We thought that if Direct TV was not a good deal we would go back to Dish but after talking to this person I don't think it will happen. If this is the way you train your employees you've got some major problems.

The phone number I used to make this call was 605-695-5030. FYI we were Dish Network customers for 15 years.

I ordered Dish Network on 2/18/2020 with an installation set for 2/20/2020. The installation was scheduled for between 8AM and 12 Noon. The installation kept getting pushed back further and further until someone finally showed up at 2:30PM. No calls from the installer ever occurred despite stating that I'd be notified an hour before arrival.

A second installer showed up a bit later as well. I've never seen such incompetent people in all my life. For the next 3 plus hours all they accomplished is mounting an antenna into the bricksork on the side of the house and installing a cable into the crawl space. THREE HOURS!

There were at least 5 holes drilled because they couldn't drill holes level or plumb and they had to splice cable because they didn't show up with enough to make a single cable…

Why did I get a notice on my TV, saying "it appears no one is watching"? How does Dish determine that? I had to then press "select" to let you know I'm watching. Sometimes the program I'm watching is arbitrarily turned off or switched to another channel.

I really resent these intrusions on service I pay a good price for. I'm so fed up with Dish's lack of good service, that I can hardly wait for my contract to be over. Margery P. Takeyama

I called in with an issue with my reception on the HD channels stating that it’s been happening more frequently that I’m losing reception and I was told that I needed to upgrade when I try to explain to her that I have a system that I like don’t wanna upgrade then she said well you’re just gonna have to keep resetting it every time it happens your customer service is ridiculous

I thought I was calling the actual company (I later learned that I was speaking with a third party rep) to get information on dish network for a possible switch from my current satellite provider.

My husband, I and our bank called Dish network on the 2nd of February due to a notice we got in the mail. We called and talk to a representative about a $368 balance that we have with Dish, in which we shouldn’t. Here is the story of why we dont owe anything.

We got a notification that of our account being deducted $368.62 for not returning the equipment for service we ended at the end of Nov 2019. We then let them know we never got a box to return it and have been waiting for it. So they sent us another box. I wouldn't give Dish 1 star but it doesn't have that option. When I signed up with dish, they gave me a installation date but never showed up on the date I was scheduled for that was the first problem.

I waited all day had missed work. I called and was told it was not in the computer and It was a 3 week waiting period to get my service installed yet it's advertised as a fast installation service within a 75 minute installation window for new customers.

I ended up waiting almost a month after paying up front to get my service installed. 00 up front because you have to purchase a certain box to get that feature yet it's advertised that any Dish customer can use that app it doesn't mention any additional charges it says it free to all Dish customers.

I wouldn't give 1 star but it doesn't have that option. I have never been late on my bill infact I've been early. I recently switched jobs. I called in because they interrupted my service after being a day and a half late on my payment after being told I have a 10 day grace period.

When I signed up with dish, they gave me a installation date but never showed up on the date scheduled. I waited all day. I called and was told it was not in the computer for installation date I was told so I waited almost a month after paying up front to get my service.

00 to use the my dish anywhere app you have to have a certain box. I don't have the Netflix channel either as advertised on the guide saying it's channel 302. There's no channel for that. This company has screwed me over and I am disgusted…

On Friday Feb. 7th we started dish service. A tech came and installed, and at same time disconnected our Internet. We have had Xfinity for serveral years and never have had an issue. We called, a different service tech came, he confirmed the first tech disconnected our router during installation.

He had it working momentairly, ran tests on TV, and router stopped working again. We have now been without internet for a week and have 3 teenagers at home. Dish customer service seems to have difficulty understanding this issue and now it is on us to have Xfinity come and fix what dish broke and could not fix.

As new customers we are very dissatisfied with customer service which was very rude.

I cancelled my service last week and the agent I spoke to was so very rude and belligerent I almost hung up on her. After having been a loyal customer for 2 years I hoped for a much better experience.

Dish was canceling so many channels, we decided it was time to go. We had over the air antenna installed after losing our locals which always broke up, pixalated. Lately, HBO and FOX. Too bad, then making the transition away a VERY MISERABLE experience, it is hard to say anything good about our 2 years of service.

I am 89 and can't understand instructions. All my records have been accidently destroyed. this is the worst company that i have ever worked with . All I asked was to tell me my user name and password. they are happy to take my money but NO HELP.

I have lost my local channels, and many others that I watch. A total of sixteen in total, the last two years. Yet my bill does not go down. Because of Dish, I missed the baseball playoff and now the super bowl. I would change services, in a minute if I could. I am really feed up with the way you treat your coustomer. Can't even get a person to talk to. Right now I would not recommend Dish to anyone.

I have had dish for about 6 months. In this entire time, Netflix has no sound on the Joey. They told me they couldn’t fix it but could put me on their list to hopefully get it resolved but couldn’t give me a time.

The man that I spoke to was useless. Sounds like all they need to do is update the Joey, but apparently no one can do this. While they are lower to Comcast, it’s almost not even worth it! I would rather pay $100 extra to have better service.

Now I’m locked in to a 2 year contract.

Dish is a complete joke, I wish we would have never switched from direct! They took away FOX(which is apart of the package we PAY for), and has caused us to miss almost all of out favorite football games and we wont even get to watch the superbowl! And when I called, they did offer to give us the sports package for a month for free, but it still doesn't allow us to watch the sports that only air on fox.

I am very disappointed that the Fox channel broadcasting the NFL playoff games has been removed from your lineup. One of the reasons I subscribe to your services is the ability to receive sports. I called Dish, this morning to update my Dish offer for one year. I spoke with a woman, this morning, (I'm sure it's in my file somewhere) who was incredibly rude and condescending. I'm an educated woman who wanted to know why I was getting a 10 dollar off deal, and yet it was still costing me more.

While asking a question she interrupted me and said "Let me talk! Do you have a pencil? Do you have something to write with? Write this down. " It was so nasty! I should have hung up on her but I was just in shock at the way I was being treated .

I am being billed for a Hopper that does not provide the services that are advertised. When I decided to go to a Hopper my $7/mo. loyalty discount was deleted even though I have been an excellent customer for over 10 years.

After multiple calls as well as literally hours on the phone and on “hold” no one at the supposed conflict resolution department has explained any of the reasoning for any of the policies. They have also refused to offer me a written explanation or a transcript of our conversations and have refused to put me in touch with someone who could, I am very disappointed in the customer service, the wait time on the phone and lack of any reasonable help.

All they seem to be able to do is read from a standardized rule book. If I could I would cancel Dish in a heartbeat!

My complaint is for 3 months I was receiving channels like 165, 374 and some other channels no the pay channel I knew that would expire on Janurary 30,2020 but on 1/1/2020 I called to check to see why the channels had changed 165, 374 and some of the others, well little to say I was treated like trash I was told that I never had those channels I explain I did I watch them everyday, so

The quality of tv picture is of very poor quality. Its like looking through a frosted glass. When mentioned to installer his comment was old films are always fuzzy. We had direct tv before and there service was crystal clear, even on old films.

We are in our 80s and can not watch this excessively poor service.

I have been a customer of Dish for 17 years. Today I called to remove Dish Protect from my account. Called 800-333DISH which is the number for Customer Service Center printed on the back of your Hopper red folder. Called that number four times. Each time I got someone with a horrible accent who told me I needed to be transferred to another number for help. Each time I was then actually transferred back to your phone tree. I was told not to press a number when I was sent back to your phone tree, but if you don't press a number it just keeps repeating itself, and you never get a human being. I finally called technical support because the wait time is always long on tech, but you eventually get a live human being.

I am writing on behalf of my father's acct. ( I am included on his account). He is a new customer as of late Sept. 2019. He purchased the antenna so he could get local channel, (value of $200). It didn't work so we had to change his package to include local channels.

A prepaid label with an RMA number was sent to me at my email address. I boxed the items, attached the label and dropped it off at our communities drop site. They do not issue receipts for prepaid labeled items as they are just a drop site.

My father hasn't been refunded for the return and I was informed late Nov. that I was past the time allowed to return the item. After multiple calls to customer service I have found the package was never received and they tell me without a tracking no.

At the time I called Dish about potential service I told them I had several channels I had to have, #1 being Fox Sports SW so I could watch the Mavericks and Rangers. My husband and I are huge sports fans.

In August of 1959 part of our honeymoon was attending a Tigers/Indians game at Briggs Stadium. I understand Dish/Fox are fighting over money. I have already registered my complaint with Dish. My suggestion is play nice in the sand box and leave enough sand so your customers are not sucking hind tit.

I just recently ordered Dish TV, along with land line services. I requested that the equipment be sent to me. The cable tv equipment was sent to me, but nothing for the landline. It has now been over 2 months and I still have no phone service.

I have called Dish at least 5 times and each time the technician puts me on hold for at least 15 mintues and when they come back to the phone they claim that they have conneced the phone service, and that all I need to do is plug in the phone cord to my modem.

It is not working and has never worked. I'm not sure why all of the technicians I talk with are not doing their job. Very unprofessional!!

Dish used the bait and switch tactic to update my equipment which I have had for over 9 years. Told me one price and then when Dish arrived at my house to update my equipment they gave me a higher price . Of course once I threatened to cancel my subscription they offered me the original price that I was quoted on the original conversation. I cancelled my subscription and asked to have dish remove the dish from my house and I was told very rudely by Nicholas in your Phoenix office that they would not remove it and was very nasty on the phone to me. Dish just lost a 9 years customer today!

Called and spoke to customer service about a problem having with one of our Joey's. She started trouble shooting with me, Could not find what she was asking me to do. Told me to push the reset button, I told her several times there was not one on a Joey receiver in the bedroom.

She started getting loud and rude speaking to me like I was stupid.

Finally, I told her to back off with her attitude. She didn't have nothing to say then. For now our problem with the Joey is working

Signed up with the exceptation of a discount on My internet bill. Now that I signed up I see no discount on my internet bill. Called several times and all I get is the run around. The worst company I have every delt with.

I contacted Dish representative and told her I wanted to cancel my contract. She said why? I said for what I am paying I'm not getting the channels I like. She said let me see what I cazn do for you.

She came back and said what if I give you the channels you want. We talked about what channels I wanted. 95 and she said the price would not change for the life of the contract. I agreed to keep Dish.

55, so I called Dish back and talked to a rep. and told him what had happened. He said she didn't have the authority to make that change. We had put our service on pause for a couple of months and the credits were taken from us because of that.

We’ve had channels 412-28-29 etc to get our games. All the sudden this season they pulled them and I called they said if I wanted them they were on channel 470 and we would have to purchase another package. I’m NOT DOING IT!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

Signed up for a 2 year contract was expressly told that my bill would be 55 dollars a month for everything. Bill ended up being 72 dollars per month. Would be forced to pay an early termination fee if I cancel even though I was lied to.

I moved from Indiana to san Antonio texas. I had scheduled service at my new address which is 9235 Rainbow Creek San Antonio, Texas which was scheduled for today 04 Oct 2019. NO ONE SHOWED UP then I find out that my appointment was rescheduled for 12 Oct 2019 in which I did not agree I was told 04 Oct 2019.

Now I am without TV again for the next 2/3 weeks. Your company has some very rude customer service folks and half of them do not speak English in which you can understand. I called maybe 5/6 times and asked for a supervisor or manager and I was always hung up on.

Absolutely terrible service. I cancelled my account due to constant outages. They sent me a box to pack the equipment myself. Spent all day on the phone with them today getting help with the instructions to mail everything back. 12 hours later I get an email saying I’m being billed 399 dollars because I haven’t mailed the equipment back!!!
