Dollar General

I love the Dollar General stores. What I would like to complain about is the heat in the stores. It’s way too warm inside the store I was in today. One of my items purchased today was a jar if pickles.

They are on the shelf until opened. The jar I bought today was so warm (70 degrees with a food thermometer) that the pickles felt limp and soggy. The heat can’t be good for other food products as well. The manager there said corporate controls the temp in every store.

So that is why this complaint here. I hope in future this can change. Soft bendable pickles are gross!

Hi, The woman who worked in the store named Kia was very friendly and nice the complaint is about the products at the store on Ashville HWY Spartanburg,SC. I dont know how I could prove things that I threw away were freezer burnt and that the others I still have, have been thawed and frozen again into a block so I am scared to feed it to my family.

I understand shortages as well but I had to open the boxes pull them out and find each product then I spent about $50 on frozen foods and am unable to eat any of them. Is it possible to receive money back or store credits for this issue?

Good morning, just to let you know that I am very disappointed with the supervisor and the people who work there can never make my purchases online, they always cancel them when I try to use coupons, they never apply to me and the cashier does not know anything about it.

211 West Hartford Ponca City Oklahoma, Store #22100 Store closes at 10 PM I went in at 9:50pm I was told on entry that the store was closing in 2 minutes. There were 3 employess in the store. I was getting my items and another employee came to me to tell me that the store was closing.

I got the items that I went in for and was at the register by 5 minutes till 10. When I got to the register the manager was at the door with it Locked and did not let others in and unlocked it to let a customer ahead of me out.

I was told Again at the register that the store closes at 5 till 10 at the Latest. I said well as far as I knew, the store closes at 10. I purchased my items and was refused a receipt with a dirty look and the manager unlocked the door to let me out.

The dollar general on millsgap road Fletcher, NC is open but the doors are locked and no one is here. If I call the store number it says the user is busy. I've been waiting for 20 minutes no one has come to open the store.

My credit card was charge 3 times by an inexperienced cashier. The young lady that was there with him was helpful and she did call her manager regarding the transaction going back to my card. She was told that I had to come back the next day at 10a to get resolved.

This make no sense that no manager able to give me back my funds and the store took the funds the same day. I do work full-time and my work day began at 6:30a and have to take off just to meet soemone there to get my money back.

I shop at this dg all the time sometimes twice a day and I don't think a any store should be operated without a manger with experience and able to handle minor incidents.

Your employees at the Mackinaw Illinois store would not allow me to use the restroom. " I left my items in the cart and left the store. I will not under any circumstances ever return to that store. I did go down the road to the Minier Illinois store where they very politely allowed me to use their restroom.

Store number 17016 New Boston Mi. Store was without power about two weeks ago. The food in coolers still not removed and replaced with new products. This is unacceptable, as Dollar General not providing service very much needed at this store, because of its location, very busy store.

Dollar General is a very successful company and people deserve better service then provieded.

I have placed several pick up orders placed online at the Kings Church Rd, Taylorsville Kentucky, only to have them canceled at time of pick up. Then I started using the Waterford Dollar General store, placed one order, gentleman was happy to pull it while we waited.

Then placed another order with same store only to have them cancel at time of pickup. Is this a regular thing with your stores? I am disabled and disappointed in the service these last few orders. I like to order from here but looks as if someone isn’t wanting to pull orders for pickups.

I went to the Dollar General on Monday in Grifton NC. I've had bad customer service in the past and seldom go in the store here anymore. I like Dollar General and go to other stores out if town. I bought several things including some greeting cards.

I waited at the register for at least five minutes until the clerk showed up. She was on her phone with a hoodie on. At first I thought she was talking to me. I had the cards turned so she could easily scan them but she pulled the first one away from the envelope and threw them both in the bag.

I politely asked her not to bend the envelopes and she ignored me and did the same to all the cards. Nobody I know in town likes to go to the store and I feel someone should know how bad it is.

I am very disappointed with the big sale that went on March3-5. Nothing was marked, nor put out. And didn’t ring up the 50% off the markdown price I paid 43 dollars and it should have been more than half that price.

But I paid and went out shaking my head. They said due to short staff they did t have time to do anything. But still the things I bought on Friday should have been half the price. And usually I get an email for receipt and I did not get one.

Why is the CANAAN NH DOLLAR GENERAL.. closed 2-3 days a week?

The Aubrey location needs to be closed. The store is an absolute mess, people who are working there have the worst attitudes and the sale signs they put up are not accurate. I shopped at the dollar general in Aubrey Texas March 8th around 12:45 and it was chaos.

I chose items that were on a clearance table yet the prices were not honored. An African American employee came up to the front and ripped the sign off the table and said that was over. They didn’t honor it even though it was still up while people were shopping.

I will write to the city as well. To treat customers the way they did and not honor sales is not the way to do business.

I went to my local Dollar General Store located at 158 MO-162 Portageville MO on March 7,2023 to drop off a package for FedEx. There where a total of three workers in the front of the store when I walked in.

One young lady was stocking food items on the shelves and the other two where scanning a pallet cart of Gatorade and where conversating to each other. When I walked in there was no one at the registers or the counter so I said "excuse me, where do packages go for FedEx"?

The lady that was scanning the Gatorade in said very rudely "i have to scan it" and continued scanning items on the cart so I didn't know if she was talking to me or if she was talking to the guy she was working with. I stood there holding the item i needed to ship off for FedEx.

Dollar general in Stilwell Oklahoma closes at all hours of the day and night. They're rarely ever consistent I pull up at 15 till 10:00 and the doors are locked the night before I came here at 7:30 and the store was closed with the sign on the door that said closed at 6:30.

It's a real inconvenience to a small town like I live in when there isn't much else around. Not to mention the store is always filthy dirty the floors are always disgusting the shelves are never stocked. I wouldn't recommend Dollar general to anybody!!!!!!

I visited this store in Hermitage, AR, and simply asked the cashier (who was not wearing a name badge) if she'd make sure the red bull rang up correctly because there's always a problem with the correct price not being wrung up. 4oz cans 3 for $5.

She rang them up along with other items and I asked if the price was correct. She said the price would correct at the end. So I paid for my items. 75. I got in my car and checked the receipt.

The add shows certain things are on sale and save more with digital coupons and are not honored in store. 50 with a $2 off coupon. 85 for 3 12pk cokes (not even the $15 in advertisements) and didn't get the $2 off for either product.

Employee named Sam at Crafton PA DG did not care to listen to three price mistakes on my receipt from sale made yesterday 3/5/23 and was very rude, he walked away and went to the other register helping the shoppers behind me before completing my refunds saying, "there is no sign that says that price" I said the sign was taken down because yesterday was the last day of the sale.
