Beware of unadvertised additional hidden fees. When I made the original reservation, it was showing as almost $510. When the Mastercard charges went thru ,there were additional charges of almost $80. They turned out to be VAT and " carrier additional charges"

On Sunday May 19, my husband and I travelled to Dubai from Brussels to catch a connecting flight home to Melbourne. We have both always used Emirates and as I am a Qantas club member, on the occasions I haven't travelled business, we are still able to gain access to the Business lounge.

We were transferred to another flight and whilst on board I was informed by Emirates Cabin staff member that one of my suitcases did not make the plane but had been found and will arrive in London the next day and would be sent to my home.
On receiving the suitcase I noticed that the zip was broken and there was a gap where it had broken open. There were several items missing mostly gifts for family and friends I had purchased.

Hi the reason for my complaint is that I booked return flights to phucket I booked and paid for the flights online after booking I looked at the itinenary the next morning and realized that I had booked the wrong return date. It was a simple mistake instead of the 10th of April I had some how booked the 10th of may how this could have happened I do not understand (It may have happened while I was browsing your site looking for the best flight times)never the less I telephoned customer services when I realized the mistake.

I had called many time to Emirate to claim for this damages but it seems that too difficult to get my luggage repaired. the damages is the torn of pocket of the luggage.
There was a complete breakdown in communication at Dusseldorf when we left the plane and were bussed into the terminal. There was no information for us in the terminal building, we eventually discovered that there was an Emirates office which by then had an enormous queue snaking across the main concourse.
As business class passinger,s we were not told that there was a business lounge which would have been very useful. My wife is diabetic and needs a wheelchair to travel more than 50 yards. We spent 22 40 Euro on coffee and a snack to keep my wife,s blood sugar level satisfactory.

EK 283357314.. as mostly an Economy travel passenger... using Emirates above other airlines as they seemed to make even Economy passengers feel special. While the staff service remains excellent, it has been noticed that any extra comfort items have been slowly removed from the Economy class passenger experience... eg.
the hot towels have been removed (first the before flight towels and now all towels have been taken away) , wine service now has limited selection - red or white - no longer in individual bottles, no chocolate with the meal tray and no possibility of receiving an extra cushion or travel sock pack, even if available.
While these may be small issues, they are noticed and missed, and the airticket price has not seemingly been reduced in accordance.
Dear Sir, I have recently purchased seat choices by telephone. I specifically stated that I needed a window seat and an aisle seat. Imagine my shock when my elderly partner was given a centre seat. When I spoke to the lady sat in the aisle seat she informed me that she did not pay for her seat choice and asked for it when at the booking in desk.

I was disappointed as I paid for business class to Budapest from Melbourne on 23/9 flight EK405. The first part to Dubai was fine then we changed planes to a 777 from Singapore & I was seated at the seats right next to toilets & hostess area where meal preparation is located.

Over the years I have experienced the quality of service diminish as you cut costs, the offer of a drink at the beginning of the flight for Economy passengers, and now charging for seating at $15, $25, and $40, but not for silver membership or above. Today, 19/10/2016 I was flying from Dubai to Athens with EK 105. I was carrying a suitcase (14Kg), a briefcase (6.5Kg) and a case with my laptop (2Kg). Photo of the last two pieces attached. While checking in Emirates ground staff requested that I put my laptop in my suitcase because my hand baggage (briefcase+laptop) exceeded 7Kg. I complained to the supervisor but I was told that this is the rule.
There was actually one of Emirates staff with a scale checking the weight of the hand baggage. I have traveled everywhere in Europe and Asia with this briefcase and laptop and nobody ever told me that I could not hand carry these two pieces. This is to report a very unpleasant experience occurred to me during my latest trip from Cape Town to Rome on flight EK 773 (Monday October 10th 2016 Cape town – Dubai) EK 095 (Tuesday October 11th Dubai - Rome) booking reference PMVEQ6.
On Monday October 10th I headed to the airport in Cape Town to board on my flight and I approached the Emirates check in desk with a large suitcase (to be checked in) and a small wheeled “pilot case” – that is my hand luggage.

I recently had my wallet stolen at Sydney airport. Among other things there was a $250 Westfield gift voucher which I redeemed when my points were about to expire. I sent an email to the Emirates High Street asking them to cancel the card. Unfortunately this was done on a Saturday, as I had been in Adelaide and unable to retrieve the card number. The person who stole the card spent the $250 at various shops on the Sunday afternoon.

A return trip overseas has still not been credited to my Skywards. Reason, the arrangement of the name of your ticket is different from the Skywards. And yet I am the one who undertook the trip and my skyward number is referenced on my ticket.
