I would have given a 0 out of 5 if I could have. I had a reservation with Expedia, my trip itinerary number was 72160104066442. It was a bed and breakfast. While I was booking this trip, with 2 adults and 1 child ( as all my previous reservations) it showed this particular bed and breakfast.

I booked it, I did probably more than 10000 dollas of business with Expedia and as always I was confident everything is rosy. By some glitch on Expedia, it got corrected to 2 adults without the child. We arrived with my wife and 4 year old and the lady in-charge informed us politely that this place was for retired couples and adults only.

She can admit us but if my 4 year old is not quiet then she will ask us to leave. Any 4 year child is not trained for keeping quiet all the time and my daughter…

On three different occasions I put three different bookings through Expedia they took the money off my card and then the following day I got a call from the hotel saying that my room was not paid for by Expedia I sat on the phone with Expedia on three different occasions for three different incidences of you guys of them canceling my bookings and then not refunding my money I'm not rich and I barely have a job right now so it wasn't easy for me to just turn right around and get more money to pay for my room but

I have made a booking at Casa de Shalom in July 31- August 2 but on my arrival I was told that there was no booking made and I wasn't giving a room as the hotel said they stop using your service .. I have been trying to get a refund since but unsuccessfully.. I am so disappointed that my money was taken for a service that isn't real.

The worst customer service ever, when they don't want to listen to you they just pretend that they can not hear you and hang out. And if you call back they keep doing it like that is the way that they get trained to deal with the complaints. Not helpful at all.

on December 2020 I booked a flight with west-jet through Expedia , this was a direct flight going from Calgary to Orlando. In may I got a letter from Expedia telling me that West-Jet have canceled this flight and they are offering my a much worse "2 Leg flight" and that I have a choice to either agree to the new flight or cancel it.

I have been trying to get a refund from a cancelled hotel reservation since June of this year. Each time I call customer service and give the details it ends up as a dead end with no response as promised.

It’s too much to type, but this is my first time using Expedia and it has been the worst experience ever! I have been hung up on the times! One of them by a supervisor! My issue still isn’t resolved!

A chat rep cancelled my flight and didn’t tell me the credit was with that one specific airline and made me believe I could use a different airlines. Now the call reps are telling me that only have one flight available which is $300 plus dollars which is a $100 plus more than my original round trip.

I have called Expedia in reference to a refund I've tried to receive since July 23, 2021. I reached the virtual assistant each time I called. It asked for a booking number. I don't have a booking number. The refund is from Motel 6, 6 Gateway Blvd E, Savannah, GA 31419.

I was told by the desk clerk that my refund is to be done through Expedia Virtual Card. My Confirmation number is #3271AAF111. I have been trying every means I found to contact Expedia to receive my refund. com. I wasn't able to speak directly to anyone about this matter.

I asked your agent to cancel my flight and he canceled my hotel. And when I asked him that why I still see my flight under my reservation but I don't see my hotel he said to wait for a few minutes. And I did.

Now I have a flight from Asia to the US, and I have a car, then I don't have my hotel. Because he canceled. And now the same hotel is not available.

I booked a room for my sister at super 8 Wyndham motel in Gulfport, Mississippi due to the Hurricane Ida. She who has no credit cards and very little money. Expedia to my credit card info and told me my sister would have to pay for her pet fee of $10.00 per night up front when she registered. I sent her the pet fee in cash yesterday when I booked room. Today, I received text telling me she will need a credit card or $50.00 for any incidentals she may use. PROBLEM, Expedia never told this to me on the phone when they told me about the pet fee. This has caused a big problem, scrambling to get cash to her. EXPEDIA’s office kept apologizing about the their mistake.

Super 8 motel’s supervisor told me this happens often with Expedia. LAST TIME I USE THEM. !!!

I wouldn't give Expedia any stars if I could. We used Expedia to book a room at a hotel with trip protection. We had an issue where we had to cancel our plans well enough in advance but Expedia made it impossible to reach someone that could help.

We called, we sent emails, and we followed Expedia's customer service requests. They asked us to contact the hotel, we did, and the hotel told us to contact Expedia because they were the only ones that could help us because they have our money.

Expedia purposefully creates a catch 22 so they don't have to refund your money for services they never provided. I will never use Expedia and highly advise others to never use them too.

I booked my flight with my flight credit. Agent was able to book my flight with my flight credit.. I m traveling with my 7yrs old so I had to book her separate since I was using my credit.. This is AA airline got my daughter ticket directly from the airline..

Next day I got email from Expedia with my ticket info.. I go to AA app select my seats with my daughter and all set. The next thing I see is my ticket is canceled because Expedia Agent made a mistake..

5 hours was spent on a call and then a call from supervisor for an other hour.. I’m so upset that the supervisor was so rude she should be apologizing for the agent mistake but she was not helpful at all..

I booked all my trips though Expedia but after this experience I will book directly..

I had a flight purchased through Expedia on Qatar airways for May of 2020. The flight was canceled due to Covid. I agreed to a voucher at the time thinking COVID would pass quickly. A year later Qatar is still not flying to the destination nor are they flying to any destination I want to go to.

I contacted Qatar on July 3rd of this year and was told that the airline flight is refundable but it had to be done through Expedia. I called Expedia and they said they could not access flight information records and I had to go through Qatar.

I went back to Qatar and was told a refund credit had been issued to Expedia for me so that Expedia could refund the flight. I provided documentation and the refund credit number. After multiple calls there is still not a resolution.

I actually give it a BIG FAT “0”. Expedia has figured a way to capitalize on penalty charges. I made a reservation and when I pushed enter to finalize the purchase and received my confirmation I noticed that the date had been changed to the current day’s date.

I immediately called Expedia, of course you can’t actually talk to a real person , so I ended up messaging back and forth with a person online. That is a BIG negative to me. 00 penalty. What is so funny is the person helping me messed up on the dates twice during the exchange but of course wasn’t slapped with a penalty.

If i could give a zero on the rating I would! I cannot rectify my issue with Expedia - I have a dispute with a booking and after 6 days and 30 plus calls to their customer service not one person can help me to rectify the situation.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. they cannot give me a number for disputes they cannot help with the situation I am dealing with because everyone who gets on the phone does not have the capacity to help with fixing the situation.

End result is that after a week, I needed to cancel my reservation. I am sure I will have difficulty recovering my money, but the basic premise is that nobody should trust Expedia, they are a fraudulent company and should be treated as such.

I am in AF in Turkey. booked a trip to Greece which has now been red zoned by military so I am unable to go. Clicked on cancel trip and all that got cancelled was my insurance. As a result I am unable to file a claim for reimbursement with the Ins Co.

A month or so ago I booked a trip through Expedia. We were to check in to our hotel in Tampa on 8/8/2021. On 7/31/21 my daughter tested positive for COVID 19. Expedia said that if I can forward test results to them (which I did), they would help.

Long story short, after many emails and phone calls I was told they cannot help me. I am stunned that this company has absolutely zero compassion and cares only about the bottom line. I will not be using their service ever again and hope that any one reading this will do the same.

I have been contacting Expedia customer service department since July 24th, 2021. I made two reservations through Expedia on April 2021 at the Hilton Moorea Resort & Spa. Even though they were non refundable the hotel agreed to refund me the money paid for both reservations as my flight was cancelled and I could not make it to the island on time. I have confirmation from Rose Richmond, Hilton hotel manager that the refund for the two reservations have been successfully processed and refunded on their end. If I could give a big fat 0 I would. I went to purchase a flight from Houston, Tx to Montego Bay, Jamaica. I picked my flights, entered my card information and clicked the “Complete Booking” button only for a card decline message to pop up.

There was enough money in the account so I wasn’t sure what happened. I cleared the card information, typed it in again, clicked the “Complete Booking” button and got another card declined message. So I then went to check my bank account to see what the issue was.

My account shows that Expedia charged me twice for the plane tickets but there are no flights in my Expedia itinerary on my account. So I got charged twice for flights that aren’t booked. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE IF THE CARD WAS DECLINED?

Applied for a Refund for Airline Trip 4/2020 Canceled due to Covid. Received email from Expedia in March of 2021 Stating that If I wanted to keep my credit, I could do nothing. If I wanted a Refund, I had until the end of April 2021 to apply for it, which I did and never heard back.

I spoke with an Expedia rep on 8/5 and was told they would look in to the refund and it would take them 48 - 72 hrs to get back to me with a response. If you book thru them and you go out on one airline and come back on a different airline round trip, they only pass your TSA info on to the out going airline and they do not give it to the returning airline so you end up not able to go thru TSA prepass. It is not even possible to talk to anybody there you just get the run around, every number you can fine sends you to the same place and you can't ever talk to a real person

I have been trying to cancel a flight itinerary for days that I have fully insured with my travel agent. I have spent hours on line and on the phone. I was told days ago that it was cancelled and I would get the printed confirmation by email for my insurance claim.

I lost almost $2000 on a rental car booking not realizing that their policy is ‘no cancellations, no changes’, which was buried way down in the fine print of their confirmation email. They refuse to give even a partial credit, and the only change I wanted to make was to pick my car up a couple days later than I had anticipated.

When I was speaking with a customer service person after three hours of being on hold, she hung up on me because I was insisting to speak to a supervisor. No one could help me at all. They kept telling me to call the car rental company directly, who would in tern tell me to call Expedia.

I arrived 2 hours early to checkin but was told by airport personnel that I had to stand on line anyway. By the time I got to the counter, I was told that I was late and that my boarding time had passed and I couldn't get on my flight even though my flight was still there. When I called Expedia after waiting for a return call for over an hour, I was told that there was nothing they could do. They refused to rebook my flight at no extra charge or refund me the amount paid. I made a hotel reservation on expedia and paid extra so I could cancel. I went to the site to cancel one day and they told me I couldn't. I called them and they said if the hotel was ok with cancelling, I could.

The hotel said sure but I would need to cancel through expedia. I called expedia again and they still said I couldn't cancel. I will NEVER use expedia again. Plus, when I went on a trip in 2019, I STILL have not gotten those points.

Bought plane tickets a couple months ago. The times on the tickets have changed (after purchase). I was not notified of this and now I am most likely going to lose money trying to get the tickets refunded/changed. Customer service line is no help, they seem to hear me perfectly well until I tell them my problem and then all I get is "I'm sorry sir you're breaking up, it is very hard to hear you.

I received an email this morning regarding the changes in the flight from Seattle to SFO (on the way back from Barcelona). My ticket go cancelled and I had to rebook. That email has cancel option, I clicked on Cancel in order to rebook the flight from Seattle to SFO, but my whole trip got cancelled.

I called the toll free number after few mins, they mentioned my reservation was cancelled. I never meant to cancel my whole reservation, I tried getting my ticket back.

Also, my ticket was nonrefundable. For them, it's so easy to just cancel everything right away when things happen change on their side whether the person have protection or not. But for the person who is flying does not have option to get their ticket back?

I was trying to book travel for stay and flights, and kept receiving an error when trying to complete booking. The customer service phone numbers won't connect you to an agent without an itinerary #, so I couldn't get a hold of anyone.

I tried each option plus dialing 0, trying to see if there was a way to connect with a human being - no luck. I wasted 2 hours online trying to rebook, re-enter all traveler details, and even tried 2 different credit cards to see if that was the issue - no luck.

I finally was able to to get connected to someone online, which was a process in itself. When it was time to enter credit card details, he called so I wouldn't enter my details online. He had the same error.

When trying to a book a hotel room where I was currently staying for an extra night, I accidentally selected the current date instead of the next day, I realized the error immediately and tried to work with the hotel to fix - but since it was booked with Expedia they told me I had to contact Expedia - which I made over 10 attempts to get in touch with someone on a Friday afternoon with no luck.

I booked a car reservation 5 weeks ahead of the date. When I tried to cancel I was told no because Thrifty would not allow it. I spoke to Thrifty directly and they said they would would gladly cancel and return my money.

I then called expedia and spoke with a live person who told me expedia would call Thrifty and make this happen but it would take five days because expedia was short staffed. He said I would get an email confirming this.

I got a email a week later simply stating the reservation is nonrefundable. This is unacceptable. So the only reason I can not get a refund is because expedia won't request it? My reservation is still a month away for 8/19 at LAX.

Expedia's motto " Confirm It and Forget It".... don't listen to that. Confirm and reconfirm everything twice. We were in Mexico in front of a hotel that was closed and then by the kindness of the hotel they put us somewhere else that we would never had agreed to unless threatened with abandonment in a foreign country.

Always book directly with the airlines and hotel. Price is better and service exists. No More Expedia!!

I made a pay at time of check in reservation. The reservation at econo lodge was for 7/20-7/21 and it was confirmed well in advance. The day before the reservation, the hotel called and advised my card on file was declined.

I did not give them permission to charge my card prior to me arriving. They advised my reservation was cancelled because of the decline and made me reschedule with them over the phone. The charge was over $30 more for rescheduling.

I had to rescedule with them, however i feel they should have not charged me extra. Attached is a copy of my original reservation confirmation. As you can see, i should have paid this amount.

Demand a refund, Expedia withdrew funds and it’s up to Expedia to issue refund. Going on a month waiting time here. Terrible wait times on phone to speak with live agent, request escalation for supervisor, NEVER get called back! Representatives can’t solve issue so just hang up after waiting.

Multiple “cases” have been opened with literally no ends in sight. Ten day wait time is a lie. Just lies on top of lies to pacify the issue. I’m not quitting until I get my full refund, and demand some sort of answer from Expedia internally in response to this issue????
