I need to use a flight credit to book a new flight and Expedia makes it extremely difficult. It took an hour to get a call back to speak with someone. Once I finally got the call back the person (Alex) was difficult to understand due to a very thick accent and after over an hour on the phone I still couldn't get the new flight because I was repeatedly put on a long hold.

I had my credit itinerary information and all the information regarding the new flight in front of me when I called. After over 45 minutes he finally quoted me double the price that I was seeing on screen and when I questioned that the cost he quoted was exactly what I was seeing for 2 people not for 1 as he had said, he put me on several more long holds.

I told him I needed him to hurry to get this fixed and finalize…

I booked through homes to go 3/31/21 for a stay in NC 6/19/21-6/26/21. I learned yesterday by calling the property that the unit had been booked to someone else for over a year. 12 in my family are affected by this.

Now I am told to wait 3 days for a response to fix the issue. I have called customer service multiple times and waited for calls back only for the system to hang up on me when I got a return call.

My trip is 25 days away and now everything there is booked.

I used a coupon to book a hotel trip. Expedia refused to issue a coupon for the unused portion of my coupon. I called and after a long 45 minute wait, the Agent told me that i will see a coupon with the remainder value in 5 days. That was 2 week ago. Here is the info:

I have a coupon with 370.xx. I used the coupon to book hotels for 230.00. I should have a remaining balance of 140.xx but Expedia steal it from me. I called twice and was told that they will issue a coupon for the remainder value in 5 days. That was 2 weeks ago.

How can it be the best company? Ah the best company of knowing how to steal from customers, I see. Please issue the coupon if you are still a decent corporation.

I booked travel on expedia but never received a confirmation notice or any information on my flights. I called 20+ times and put on hold for over 6 hours. I finally got an agent but they said they could not send the the information or allow me to get access to my online account. The representatives lied and did not return phone calls and DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO RESOLVE MY PROBLEM.

This company is completely corrupt and non responsive to customer needs and rights.

On April 11, 2021, I got onto Expedia's website to book multi-city flights for myself and my son from Hartford to Los Angeles on Sep 12, 2021 and from San Francisco to Hartford on Sep 19, 2021. Because I had a credit for American Airlines from a previously cancelled booking (due to Covid), I could not make the reservation on Expedia's website and had to call a representative to do it over the phone.

The rep I spoke to told me that I could not use my American Airlines credit for both passengers because my original flight was just for me and American Airlines rules didn't allow it (I later called American Airlines because of issues I was having with Expedia and they told me that that is not their rule, it must be Expedia's. First a item was canceled from my trip plans and no one had an answer for it, in fact 1 agent was really rude after a different agent admitted an error on their part happened. 2. My flight from Madison to Las Vegas and return trip were totally rearranged without our knowledge sending us places we had no intention of going and would not have gotten us home.

Minus 5 stars. Booked a hotel room through Expedia, Itinerary # 72077438298871, 3/27/21. The hotel doesn't bother calling me to tell me they are overbooked. I just happen to call them because so many places screw things up in this day and age. They let me know hours before I am to check in they don't have room for me. They tell me to go to another hotel in Waimea. I ask about my refund and they said they don't have my money and can't see my reservation. I call Expedia and tell them they need to cancel and refund me, they said no problem.

However, I have Facebook messaged them MULTIPLE times like they asked. They said they are "looking into it". The last they messaged me was 4-27-21.

Attempting to resolve a hotel billing issue with Expedia, told we have to call the Hotel to resolve. Why ? The reason you are in business to honor our booking rate and fees. The Expedia people on the phone tell us that they don't have all the information and continue to tell us to call the Hotel.

I have a credit available on itinerary 72001700302462 booked through Expedia.

American Airlines cancelled the flight so we were forced to rebook. We booked a cheaper flight and were advised that the credits would be placed on my expedia account.

I've called 10X trying to redeem the credits but their CSR Department hangs up on me everytime because they have trouble issuing the ticket and credit.

Someone from expedia needs to contact me asap. I'm surprised this company isn't in a class action lawsuit by now for all the complaints that they been receiving.

I've been trying to redeem my airline credit for the past 5 days. The wait time with customer service is too much. Over chat, it's been a wait of over times two hours multiple times. Over the phone it was over an hour.

The customer service agents keep telling me British Airways has restricted my ticket and when I contact British Airways, they say they don't restrict anyone's tickets. I don't understand why it's so hard to redeem my airline credit from my flight which was cancelled last year.

I keep getting conflicting and roundabout response from the Expedia team. Please assist me on this matter. Thank you.

After rebooking flights that were cancelled due to pandemic, the rebooked flights say cancelled and no information exists on Expedia. After a 3 hour phone wait, the representative could find no information either but eventually found one flight via the airlines site.

The call was dropped after 20 wait while he looked for the other airline. Still dont know if I have flights or not

I booked a flight for my two daughters last year via Expedia (USA) but I am unable to locate an e-mail address to send a complaint to! Reference number for the flight: 750 968 457 0136 or HYFDHI. Flight was from Brussels to Montreal via Nice on August 6 with return direct flight on Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 from Montreal to Brussels (flight LH6599). Two passengers: Anika and Elena Turmel. There is an agreement since last week in between Air Canada and the Canadian government for a total refund. Who cna I reach to ask for that refund. Air Canada website tells me I got to contact Expedia.

After spending hours on hold, and actually being hung up on at one point, I am incredibly frustrated. Not only did rebooking our flight become a nightmare because of the inefficient process, but once they did figure out how to use our credit, they misspelled my husband's name.

When we called back to try to get that fixed (because you can't alter the itinerary online) after another long wait, we were told that we had to go through American Airlines, after waiting on hold with them, they told us that we were told incorrect information, that only Expedia could alter the name. So I called Expedia AGAIN, and I am being stone walled, I am being told I cannot speak to a supervisor, I will get zero compensation for all the wasted time that I have spent trying to get them to fix their mistake.

Terrible customer service, They will not accept phone calls. I have an airline credit to use, but they will not let me use it on flights listed on their site. Those flights are saved for new reservations. You can only get a crummy flight using credit. It is fraudulent.

I flew from Sacramento to Denver March 26th United airlines my flight left at 1:52 and arrived in Denver with 15 minutes to board my connecting flight to Detroit I was at one end of the airport and I had to run all the way across the airport to board my flight in the process I hurt my elbow and haven't been able to work the last 3 days terrible service

Booked flights pre-Covid for Vegas and got cancelled because of Covid pandemic. Now it’s almost impossible to use my airline credits. Tried and the company tried to charge me an additional 1000 per person to fly from Newark to Atlanta on top of the 1500 credit from a flight booked to Vegas.

This is obviously some sort of scam toward the consumer and I will be looking into litigation for my refund. This has been a horrible experience and have to wait hours to get in touch with Expedia customer service. Absolutely awful experience and would never recommend this agency to anyone.

Expedia has worst company service I have ever dealt with! My husband and I have called four times and have waited on hold at least hour and half each time! I waited on hold for two hours and fifteen minutes and never talked to anyone!

The times we have gotten through on two separate occasions we were told we would get a call back from a supervisor the next day and that never happened! We paid $650 for a hotel in New York City that is no longer open, they have closed their doors for good!

Expedia will not let us transfer or refund our money!

com they assisted me in the room from red roof inn in the amount of 53$. from that point I asked the clerk would I be able to check in early if I reserved online and she said yes, when I arrived the teller told me he couldn't give me a room because he sold it to some walk ins which is not proper protocol, I was still charged and never rented a space. the service was horrible. thank you

I booked four airline tickets through expedia to fly from Peoria, Illinois to Pensacola, Florida from May 8 through May 15. Due to covid we had to cancel our flights. I talked to a representative from expedia back in May and was told that expedia could do nothing regarding receiving a refund for all 4 flights and that I had to go through Delta airlines.

I went through Delta, I filed complaints with the Dept. of Transportation. I also disputed the charges with my credit card company. I just heard back from the credit card company after all this time that my dispute was reversed and I would not be reimbursed.

I rented a car to be picked up in San Jose Int. Ca. through Hotwire.com (Itinerary # 3154613496) for 7/22-7/27/2020. I have used Hotwire several times before. I have not had any problems in the past, but I feel that under the circumstances, I am getting poor service.

I made this reservation 2/1/20 before there was a Pandemic. Usually I am assigned a car through Hertz, Avis, or Budget. I found out after renting the car that I was assigned to Sixt. Sixt has no flexible contract with Hotwire. I was not aware of this. Yes, I now know there is no refund policy under normal circumstances. However you have no policy for Pandemic and apparently no flexible contract with Sixt.

We traveled summer of 2019 to Europe and have two coupons totaling $150 which are due to expire...$100 on 7/31/20 and $50 on 8/31/20, however, due to a ban on travel, our family is unable to travel out of the country this summer and since we always travel as a family, we will not be doing so until summer of 2021, provided all restrictions on travel are lifted.

Therefore, I am requesting these two coupons be extended until summer of 2021 so that we may use them and not lose them. Afterall, it is beyond our control and quite frankly, all other merchants, companies, vendors have adjusted their policies due to coronavirus and that fact that it is an extenuating circumstance and I would be disappointed to think Expedia is being so unprofessional and inflexible so that it benefits only Expedia.

I originally booked a nonstop flight from Philadelphia to Orlando for my nieces. There was a layover added to the flight. My nieces mom did not feel comfortable with them being at the airport by themselves in Miami for an hour and a half.

I planned on just picking them up at Miami and not have them board for Orlando. The bags would have been sent to Orlando anyway. I had to call American airlines and change their entire flight! They are changing me 130 dollars.

I want a refund for this up charge, when I should have gotten a discount anyway because my original flight was no stop!

I had ordered airline tickets thru Expedia at the end of March 2020. Got a really good price for my mother to fly out to Utah. The prices had dropped because of this Covid-19. I received and email from Expedia stating that her flight had a conflict and we needed to contact the airlines.

So, I spent 3 days trying to get ahold of the airline. Over 25 hours of hold time mainly on the phone and some time with the chat feature. The airline helped us out and rerouted her flights for the same days.

The airline was extremely helpful when I was able to get ahold of someone. Now the bad part. Received another email from Expedia (June 6th 2020 twenty day before flight) stating the airline canceled the flight and they were refunding our money.

I think this stinks, as retired older person (74 years) traveling is not an option at this time. I feel Expedia is giving no consideration to the coronavirus situation as it relates to older people who are more venerable to this virus and just being down right greedy. I will definitely make sure I tell all my friends and all social media friends and family, just how you treated us in these times and during this situation. I will never use your site again. I booked flight tickets through Expedia for my current trip from Seattle to San Antonio. Everything was fine for me to fly from Seattle to San Antonio.

However last night when I attempted to check out for my return trip. The website said my flight from SAT to Salt Lake City Via Delta was canceled. I called Delta, and booked another set of flights, thanks to delta.

Delta also told me that the flight is not canceled. It is Expedia who canceled my flight. If I did not find this out last night, I could have to stay at the SLC airport overnight, since they scheduled me a very late flight from SAT.

This is a very inconvenient experience for me: have to depart early, and arrive home hours late. Thanks Jing

I just had the worst experience at expedia. I canceled a flight by Eastern China to China due to the on going corona virus. Eastern China announced they are offering a full refund on their official website, but Expedia insisted that I would need to pay a $150 cancellation fee.

I contacted Eastern China about the situation, they told me I was eligible for a full refund, and they aren't receiving that $150 fee. Guess who is charging me that fee...

Expedia failed to issue our tickets to Emirates. Having arrived at the airport 4am we missed our flight because no one at Expedia could rectify the problem in time for us to board our flight despite admitting full responsibility.

We are travelling with two small children and still have no confirmed way home. More than four hours on hold later for both my husband and I no one at Expedia has been able to resolve the problem.

That is a total of more than 8 hours and climbing of hold on international calls. With no result.

Why can no one at the head office of a travel company manage to book our flights home?

80. The flight was not booked and of course no conformation number. called Expedia they blamed American Airlines and for me to call them. I called American and they said it was done through Expedia. went to my back and they too said it was Expedia's error.

talked to a Expedia agent to at least get a credit or points in the event the flight goes up while waiting on my refund and they refused. saying its nothing they can do. but yet they authorized my card.

so now I'm supposed to wait 3-5 business days for my money back and we know they price of the flights will change. I AM PISSED

I booked a flight for the 7th of June, 2020, over six months in advance. Expedia accidentally wrote my last name incorrectly on the tickets. ) of phone calls with their representatives, they were still unable to change the name on the tickets. Excuses abound. Service was terrible.

They offered I cancel the flight, but I paid 900+ dollars and will only get back 300 dollars. What do you call this? A scam. Will never work with them again.
