I spent thousands of dollars booking on expedia over the years and customer service went to below 1 star over the last 2 years. I am trying to use my airline credits before they expire, only to see the "please call to make this booking" or "sorry there is a problem on our end, please try later" indefinitely, no matter how many times I try.

The problem is, when I call, it's near impossible to get in touch with a live person trying to get help, it's an endless loop of entering itinerary numbers and phone numbers. Same on the live chat option on their website, enter login information, that leads me nowhere.

One time I did get a hold of a person, they said their system is down and call back after an hour. That was after being on hold for 45 min and requesting a call back that came 2 hrs…

On March 2, 2022 we book a package to Mayan Riviera, Barcelo Maya Itinerary # 72259695841083

On March 13 we receive an email from Expedia advising that West Jet changed our return flight from June 7 to June 6, asking to accept the change or call to discuss other options.

On the same date we call Expedia customer service. After waiting 2 hours we talk to a representative, she gives us the option to return 2 days later for an additional cost of $600 for the hotel. or to return one day earlier, as per West Jet suggestion and get a refund of $196.98 for one less day stay at the hotel (so $300/day to pay and $200/day refund, while the booking is advertised as fully refundable). We accept to return on June 6 and get the refund. She works on our file to change the flight while we wait on the…

This company has provided appalling customer service, starting with live chats with agents on March 19th providing me with incorrect information, directing me to call airline directly twice. Each time the airline had one hour hold times, and stated I was not provided the correct information by Expedia and sent me back to customer service at Expedia.

Eventually the airline told me Expedia had to resolve the situation. In a phone call with Expedia on March 28th I was told I would receive an email in 72 hours after phone call inquiry. No email arrived. Had a 2 hour phone call with Expedia on April 4 when my situation remained unresolved, again I was directed to call the airline. In addition, I was told to expect a phone call from a supervisor, today which was never received.

I am looking for a refund for hotel fees, rental car, and UBER fees. I have been a very loyal customer of Expedia. Our trip this Sat. started with our rental care wait of 3 hours. The Expedia rep said she secured us a car FOR SURE at Budget and canceled the other car.

The Budget rep said it was a 5-hour wait. 5 hours of chat time wasted. We then had to UBER everywhere for the whole trip if we would have known we would have chosen a closer hotel to the State Farm Arena.

Come Sunday our flight was canceled 1 hour after it was supposed to take off by Spirit. NO ONE would help. Expedia was no help. There was no flight out of Atlanta until Wednesday. Expedia kept telling us "sorry we are only a 3rd party".

We had to rent our own hotel, UBER to Alabama to get a rental car, and drive 17 hours…

Hello, I called Expedia on March 29th to cancel a booking for a hotel. My travel partner was sick and had an uper respatory infection. We were afraid to travel and possibly test positive for covid and not be able to return to the US.

I spoke with an agent who went back in forth with me trying to charge me 1200 to rebook for a different date. After over an hour on the phone and back and forth of negotiating, he agreed to take 375 to change the booking and said the hotel would allow us to schedule for a different date.

He assured me the reservation was rescheduled for April 27-May 1. I hung up and rescheduled our airfare with Delta. About 3 hours later the agent called me back and said, Oh the hotel won't cancel. They need more money.

I booked a round trip ticket with Expedia and on my flight back, I was not able to do my online check in with the airline. After calling the airline to find out why? I was told Expedia never ticket my return flight ticket.

So We didn’t have a ticket to come back just a reservation. I contacted Expedia and after more than 6 hours on the phone all the agent was able to tell was that I needed to get a new ticket and Expedia will refund the full amount of the new ticket wishing a week of emailing the receipt.

I asked them to email me a letter confirming they will be fully responsible for the purchased of the new tickets. I bought the new tickets with a credit card since I was not counting on spending that extra money that I didn’t have.

au and it was very urgent (as it was a last minute request). All of a sudden, it tells me it needs to verify whether I am a robot or not and asks me to "solve a puzzle" by picking the matching cards.

Well, first things first: the cards are all different! I pick one, it loads new cards and they are ALL different to the one I picked before. It keeps going like this for 5 times and of course, it tells me eventually that something went wrong, and only gives me an option to "try again".

So it reloads the stupid puzzle over and over again. au page and it still asks me to solve the freaking puzzle with different cards that don't match, but I have to match them! I mean, you seriously wasted my time when I needed to use your silly website for urgent reasons.

Think of something less idiotic next…

My complaint is that a hotel reservation that was made FOR ME by a representative on your reservation line was mistakenly made for the WRONG DAY. After traveling to the hotel (Holiday Inn Express in Santa Rosa, NM) on Sunday, March 13, we found out that the room was reserved for Saturday, March 12th. The hotel had billed us as a "no show", so we had to pay for the hotel at their full rate of $154 plus fees and taxes.

The most aggravating part of this was that the "customer support" representative (Kanishka) insisted that the mistake was my fault because their reservation representatives CANNOT make the reservations for a customer. My wife called me freaking out over all the bugs crawlling in her room tonight and I was very surprize because it was listed as a top hotel in Venice on your website.. They gave her a refund and she booked a different hotel.

I booked a non-stop flight from Singapore to Brisbane Australia on Feb 2022, in Oct 2021, 3 months in advance.

There were changes to the flight and additional charges was deducted without my instructions from my credit card. After multiple calls, Expedia emailed me on 27 Dec 2021 that full refund will be given.

Its been 3 months and I have not got any response or update on the status of the refund. My emails have not been answered and my calls are always on hold.

Expedia is the worst service and agency I had, I booked two nights hotels and it has accident of delay on my check in time due to the hotel office only open until till 7 pm. End up I slept In the car for the first night and next night booking also got cancelled by that hotel because they mark me as no show in the first night.

This is the worst experience in my life dealing with a company! Expedia cancelled my reservation, b/c I did not have my daughter’s credit card # from our 2021 Christmas reservation, that we had to cancel! The agent left my husband off the reservation made on 3/13/22.

I was overcharged for a booking when I was speaking with a representative it was obvious that she did not understand what I was talking about so I asked for a supervisor. She told me no more than three times.

I booked a flight on Expedia travelling from NYC to Nashville, staying 2 days in Nashville, and then flying to Boston on March 17. At the end of my flight reservation, it asked if I wanted to renta a car. I said yes, chose a rental (which asked for my credit card) and reserved a car by Sixt. It next asked if I wanted a hotel. I said yes. I noticed that all the hotels were in Boston, but I needed a hotel in Nashville, not Boston. I then realized that the car rental was probably also for Boston, which turned out to be true. In December I booked a four night stay in Fort Lauderdale as part of Christmas gift for my daughter. My parents and I bought tickets to a sold music festival in April. I chose and paid for the room and travel insurance.

This past week I received an email from the hotel stating they couldn’t charge my card and I had 24 hours to fix it or they’d cancel my booking. Confused I called Expedia to find out what the issue was.

My account (I’m a gold member) still showed the reservation and “paid” status. They told me it was a pay at property booking. When I pointed out I already paid it, (however if that were the case, it still didn’t make sense that the hotel would be charging a month prior to my arrival,) they said they needed 72 hours to look into it.

This is by far the worst customer service that you could find. After several attempts to reach them to inquire about my flight that was cancelled by airline, and after being out several times on hold for a more then two hours every time, and after having few agents lying to me to reach back.

We changed our reservation through Expedia's email where it stated "change" reservation. I emailed twice inquiring about a refund for my cancellation of Hampton Inn. No response. Today, I was asked for a call back, explained situation, was put on hold for 20 mins and disconnected. No call back.

Called again, still on the same phone call now and it's been 1 hours 23 minutes. Was told I would get a full refund. If I didn't waste 3 hours of my day today, would you have just kept the full refund that Hampton Inn immediately sent to you?

I was told I had a credit of 2600 which could be used for future flights. I was under the impression I had the whole amount to use not just for the two flights. Example - if I had a 1300 credit and use 400 credit, I will be out the 900.

Before covid we frequently used Expedia services with excellent results. We are seniors with some health problems . 4 - Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021. 89 each. Total $1413. When we asked for specific information on the flight we were told just book it when needed.

No information or e-mail was ever sent to us on when we needed to book the flight Our plans were to book another vacation package trip in the fall of 2022. In late February we receive an e-mail that we have to use our flights by April 11, 2022.

On May 23, 2020 I purchased a flight ticket via Expedia. Flight was canceled due to the pandemic. I have requested both Expedia and Avianca for information about credit/refund. Never heard back from both. Now that I'm ready to travel again (even still in a pandemic), I tried to contact Expedia again and learn that there was a credit in my name that expired on December 31, 2021.

I NEVER received any email or communication from Expedia about the credit, I had no idea I had it. 85 in a flight they canceled and didn't let me know I had a refund. They let me know via email, text message and phone call that my flight was canceled, but they never sent me any email, any text and didn't call me about the credit. That's shady.

I'm very frustrated on how they just kept my money.

I booked an hotel and I was not informed that they would charge me 50% at the moment of booking. They did, without my knowledge or authorization and I ended up payit more taxes beause of this card payment, while I wanted to pay there to avoid this.

They don't have any possibility of presenting a formal claim, except for talking with bad customer service at the telephone. The hotel manager said that that information was provided by him to Hotels and he sent me the print screens with that information on his system.

Unfortunatelly, that infromation never appeared to me, nor before the reservation, nor after.

I booked a flight for my husband to accompany me to a conference in Washington in March 2020, but of course covid hit and the conference was cancelled.

I just received a notice from Expedia that his airline credit will expire in March and that he must file by then or forfeit it. He has not been on a plane since covid - and given his health concerns, has been advised not to fly given the high rates of covid. There is no way he can use this ticket.

My flight was changed and transfer time was updated from 3 hours to 20 minutes. I asked to resolve the problem on January 18th. Agent confirmed tgat 20 minutes is not proper transfer time. Noother options to connect were gind and I chose full refund.

I booked a roundtrip ticket for my sister, Azar Davoodi from LHR to MUC on Nov 18 (itinerary#72200494107888). On Dec 19, German Govt placed restriction on UK citizens to travel to Germany due to Omicron variant during holiday season. I contacted Expedia on Dec 22, nine days before the flight to let them know about this restriction and asked for credit refund since my sister is a UK citizen and was not allowed to travel to Munich on Dec 30th.

I have several complaints. First, I have been trying for over 4 months to speak to a supervisor to help with a clients refund. To date NO ONE has responded via a phone call or email. I am a travel agency owner and have been in business for over 20 years and I have never had such a lack of service by any vendor. This is not just a one time experience, it is a continuous experience that just gets worse and worse with each contact I have with your company.

I booked a roundtrip ticket for two people itinerary #72202746831491. The departure flight was cancelled and I did receive the refund. The return flight was not reimbursed. Seeking reimbursement for the return. ticket # 0017705349200 and 01, YLEGLT.

When I spoke to Expedia customer service they stated the return flight was not cancelled hence I couldn’t receive a refund. I told them that the return ticket couldn’t be used if they never traveled. However, given Expedia processed two one way tickets, I was stuck. At the time, they told me to work with AA. The AA customer service told me they would charge more $50 for a change, which is more than I paid for the ticket, hence the ticket has no value. I was not informed it was two one way tickets, now I’m being told I am out the $39x2 tickets…

When I try and book, I am given a good price but when I get to the final page the price doubles. I have tried to use the sight multiple times and this keeps occurring. It screams of bate and switch and if someone is not careful they are going to end up paying way more than expected.

Booked two itineraries with Expedia with different departure dates but same return date. After first group departed, the 2nd ran into some ticketing problems when they arrived a the airport. We were not informed of the error before-hand (100% expedia reps fault) and had to book a different same-day flight literally at the airport because the airline didn't have the ticket for us.

Expedia refunded the 2nd itinerary but did nothing about the extremely high extra costs for booking such a last-minute ticket. Then because it impacted the trip schedule of the first group beecuase we are required to return together for Covid quarantine restrictions, the 1st itinerary had to be cancelled.

However, Expedia charged extra cancellation fees and ended up only refunding around 12% of the total cost.…

I have been trying to redeem my unused credit for 2 days. The price of my flight has increased because Expedia's website does not provide a valid customer service number. They used a bot service online for chatting that disabled my ability to text.

I have wasted 2 days trying to redeem my unused credit because you have to go through an agent. They seem to be no way to get a person on the phone. I am upset because not only have I not been able to use my credit but the price of the flight increased because Expedia does not have customer service reps that help or answer the telephones.
