When I approached the gate, I checked my personal items size right away. The first gate agent gave us a thumbs up. But the second gate agent did not agree and became hostile. She didn't give us an opportunity to talk, she was rude, made up rules, on a coin-flip she was ready to kick us out, threatened to close the gate, forced us to pay $198 or leave us stranded.
I'm a woman with two kids (9- and 3-year-old) and accompanied by my parents (70- and 64-year-old). My parents were shaken, kids started crying. I felt she totally took advantage of a vulnerable woman. It was a traumatic experience. I didn't see any empathy or hospitality in her, just pure hostility.
