The technicians are very nice. My main concern is that I bought a computer for best buy and paid the geek squad to st it up with windows and transfer my files from old computer to the new one. The geek squad never informed me that I needed a copy of my bitlocker key code in case of a issue.

Windows did an update and bitlocker shut down my computer and locked me out. I lost everything!!! So upset. If I had the bitlocker key code then I would have my computer and data back with no problem! This seems like a common sense thing that the geek squad should have done!

Will never use them again. will think twice about buying anything from best buy.

My PC & my printer has not been working for 2 months. Everytime the Geek Squad take over my computer they make the problem worse. They do not follow-up and let me know what is going on. They told me to leave my computer on while they fix it.

After 24 hours I contacted them again. They said they are still working on it. I did not have the use of my PC & printer from Wednesday to Monday. On Monday I contacted the Geek Squad again. No one was working on it. Nothing had been done.

Not only did person that took over my computer did not fix it, he also caused the links in the email to stop working. I have been without the full use of my computer for about 4 months. I need my computer fixed, my printer working, andmy email workingcorrectly.

If it is not completely repaired I want a completely…

I have an active Total Tech Protection plan. I have issues with the key pad on my GE microwave oven. I first contacted Geek Squad two days ago, after long hold times and no returned calls after being promised. I finally reached an agent, set up an in home dinostic and repair scheduled for end on January 2023.

I said that was unexceptionable. Now I cannot get anyone to set a repair appointment. Pushed from one deportment to the next all overseas. Agents have difficulty with English. What do I do next.

I made appointment to get my son’s Xbox repaired. When I made the appointment I told them it was for Xbox. I go to the appointment and waited to be seen. Then I was told they don’t work on Xboxes unless I purchased it there.

My question is why didn’t they tell me that before I went to the appointment. I value their time by scheduling appointment and being there a few minutes early. Why didn’t I get the same respect?

Someone was to come to my house today to fix a wireless internet connection problem with a hard drive that Best Buy installed. I have waited 5 days for this appointment. m. tonight. No one ever showed up. No one ever called me. I am beyond frustrated!!!

I've been having to work with a 75' ethernet cable running from one end of my house to the other. I work from home. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called 3 times today to confirm someone was coming.

No one could get in touch with the person who was to come to my home. I was given his number and left a message for him - he never called me back. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK - THAT IS THE EARLIEST AVAILABLE - SOMEONE SHOULD COME TO MY HOUSE TOMORROW!!!!

We purchased a 55" Sony TV on April 30, 2021. At the same time we purchased a five-year warranty package on the TV. The TV has now periodically starting to drop the wifi connection, which in turn drops any streaming services we were watching.

I've notified Geek Squad several times and each time technicians have done in-home services but the problem still continues. Geek Squad even replaced a couple of the internal parts in the TV but wifi still keep dropping. One of the Geek Squad technicians told me the problem was not the TV but instead my service provider so we changed service providers (for an expense we had to pay), but the problem of wifi dropping still continued.

At that point, I notified Geek Squad I wanted the TV replaced but they would only set up another in-home service…

Lake Worth Ft. Worth Tx. 00 for a screen bleed repair on my zfold3. Now there is a whole different issue with the phone ( no Bluetooth connection) and in the 2 years of me having my phone my bluetooth has never been a problem.

The only issue was bleeding screen. There is so much more the 100 words will not allow me to go into detail. I would be very grateful to speak to someone to give more details. The service of the product.

On Thursday, 11/17, I called my local store (21236) and asked to speak to someone regarding a cell phone repair. I was then transferred to a call center, who transferred me back to the store. I was told I was speaking with the Samsung Technician. After he confirmed he had the part in stock, I asked him how much it would be. He said "Samsung charges 240". I asked him if I could come in around 5 o'clock the next day to get it repaired, and he said "Sure, I can stay a little late." I thought that was a strange thing to say, but let it go, assuming I now had successfully made an appointment. Finally, I asked him how long the repair would take, and he said 2 hours.

I have total tech but not on the Mac computer. They said to come in and use the Geek squad. I went there with my computer basically they told me I should buy a new one it was not fixable.

He took in back with the tech he agreed. I took my computer and contacted apple I brought it in they serviced my computer. It was just a new screen I had hit the corner and it put a hair line on screen. basic average fix.

Your tech geer and total tech experience is terrible. If I didn't feel he was wrong I would have threw out a 10 month old computer. just terrible info if you can't fix apple products don't sell them . 00 from apple. not a new computer

Appointment made to repair oven , notified a 3rd party approved company would arrive on date with a window between 8AM and 5 PM. No call received , I called GEEK SQUAD and could not understand people on the phone , over an hour waiting if the repair service would arrive and was told to call them myself .

I called AIG and was told they would not come and that they would reschedule for the following Monday with a window or 9AM and 3 PM . I waited from 8 AM until I called for help at 11AM for the service person to arrive and they were never coming , nobody called me to inform me. Terrible service.

On October 25 i went to the Roseville Michigan store Geek squad because my computer would not boot . I was trying to uninstall a program and when i res started it would not boot. I tried all sorts of recovery discs Nothing worked.

I called Dell support and they tried also by phone and nothing. MY computer has been there for 19 days. Just today 11/13/200 i have to physically go in and check was getting no calls no emails. I spoke to the man at the Geek squad counter and he said there are only 2 tech and one iis on family leave. What!! only 2 techs!!

and now just him . That is horrible. They say they can not retrieve the data and can not get it to boot. 00 plus I have total tech support and should not have to pay that. I am irate heartbroken .

My computer was hacked by an email displaying the Geek Squad logo. I don't blame them for this, but I do hold the following against them: I was a member of GS for about 10 years. After being hacked, I got an agent to do a scan and a little clean up.

I am watching as he worked. All of a sudden, I see him go to my password manager and DELETE it! The password mngr was Roboform and they DO NOT allow you to regain your passwords, no matter what! I complained to GS and was told they would refund my yearly fee while continuing my service.

Five days later, I discover they CANCELED my service and DID NOT refund my fees. The girl did nothing! I went to Best Buy and was told they would "check into it" but they could not re-instate my membership. I explained (for the 100th time) that I had 10 years…

I had an agent from geek squad come to my house and he broke the back panel on my television by force in front of me. He told me he would come back to fix it and gave me the run around for months and never came back to fix it. The purchase was made prepandemic and then he came to my house during the pandemic to fix a button that broke off since I paid for additional protection.. I paid over $100 for the protection and instead of fixing the problem they broke my television and made it worse.

I called and got rejected first time. Abhi from Best Buy location 350 Stewart Green SW, Calgary, AB T3H 3C8 is one of the worst employees I have had the displeasure of working with. I have used GeekSquad multiple times and he is the only employee to give me problems on multiple fronts when picking up my device.

I don't imagine his rude, condescending and belligerent behavior towards me is an isolated incident. Please provide adequate disciplinary measures to ensure this doesn't happen again.

My name is Osa Omoragbon I am a client of Geek Squad more than 5 years now. I have always take geek squad protection plan with the product I buy , however I have never been told if i missed three payments my contact is canceled.

Right now my television protection plan was canceled due to missed payments. Have always been able to call and update my payment before , however this time they told is not possible. I have two product that was affect and I was under the Impression that one of the product was okay and will be able to back track payments on the television product.

I check the website to make sure it is active and I saw it was active. Last month I was informed that the product protection plan is canceled. I refused to agree because of the misleading information on the website.

I took my computer to Geek Squad at the Best Buy at Gateway Drive in NY where I was told that my hard drive is making clicking sounds and needs a new hard drive and my data is not recoverable. They did not attempt to fully diagnose and wanted me to pay the $199 membership before they can even continue plus purchasing a new hard drive.

All I wanted was to recover my files from the hard drive. So they tell me upfront that the data is not recoverable so they do not have to try? is this the policy of Geek Sqaud? No help at all.

Re: Service orders 00562-335847916 & 00562-335968924: I got remotely hacked and scammed on my laptop. Although the computer was running fine after that incident, I thought it best to bring it in and have it tested for any virus , malware, etc.

I additionally provided an external drive to backup the laptop in case they had to perform a complete restore or any other service that could possibly lose contents on the laptop. When the laptop was returned to me, I found almost all files either lost or encrypted.

Files that were on the laptop and back-up external drive were some kind of computer testing codes not associated with any of my files. All the paperwork from GS claimed there was no virus.

I have a problem with my computer I first tried going through you online Geek Squad chat and needless to say they were slow to respond to me when chatting trying to figure out anything or something. The tech on chat says would you like me to make an appointment or you can by following the link.

I said let me ask my husband if he could take me, when I got back to the chat it was as if they were asleep or something cause I keep asking are you there needless to say I took it upon myself to schedule. I had an appointment today 10/28/22 they said between 1200pm and 800 pm then I received a text saying between 230 and 630 pm I changed appointment to be home all day and wait . The tech Mr Herandez ( never showed He says he called me and it went to voice mail but did not leave a message my seven year old knows better then that if you go to voice mail leave a message.

I've been trying to contact their customer service for 1 month. At the store, they tell me to send an email, then by email, they told me to call their 1800 number, and when I call it says I need to file online.

But the online service doesn't work, every time I make a search on my product it doesn't return anything. I have tried calling again and sending emails but I never get to someone and the emails are never replied. I have 1 month left to use my tv warranty, and if I don't hear from Geek Squad before that I'm going to take legal action.

I requested setup of a computer purchased thru Best Buy which I had setup prior to his arrival. Very pleasant guy but no real tech knowledge. Since I purchase BestBuy tech program which costs $200 per year, his visit was free of charge.

At the end of the visit, he informed me that I owed $149, but he would give me his employee discount, if I tipped him. Now, I had every intention of tipping him, even though his service wasn’t up to par.

I gave him$60 and he didn’t charge me the $149, that he shouldn’t have charged me in the first place. I realize he thought I was old and could get by with this but truly, he really shouldn’t be cheating people.

The Geek Squad in Bloomigdale Il has horrible service, was told that my Bests were going to be replaced at first and a completion day of 5 days. Went in 2 days after completion day and they knew nothing and that a manager was going to call.

Its been 2days since that conversation, and no one called. Such unprofessional from this the Geek Squad. I contacted Geek Squad to have the ice maker on my refrigerator repaired. The appointment was confirmed for Monday 10/10/2022. The service event number 20794671 I received a text message from the repair company stating they could not keep the appointment set for Monday 8a-12p, When I called them I was advised they changed the appointment to Tuesday.

Terrible service that leads to no resolution. I bought a treadmill last year with a 5 year geek squad protection and it's having issues. I've called Geek Squad over 8 times and speak to an international team who give me nothing but the run around every single time.

I only asked for a tech to come out and troubleshoot but can't seem to get a real response out of anyone. I would never buy Geek Squad protection again.

Sunday oct 9th sent by apple to geek for appt on Research blvd as only one that had an appt. guessing his name was Michael Finley as the appt was made in that name and took long time to find my apple appt bc not sent under my name or email address.

first he said it appeared he needed to replace the display and then decided based on the model and a few minute scratches at the bottom of the phone that the only option would be to replace the and i would lose everything on my phone which I told him was not an option.

Terrible customer service. I asked for a assistance on 9/18/22 with an almost brand new LG French door refrigerator and they were only able to send a "technician" on 9/23. After five days without a refrigeatoelr, the guy comes and tells me he cant do nothing as he's not a licensed tech and that he will make another appointment for me for 9/28.

Today I called for support because my wireless keyboard locked. After spending 30 minutes trying to unlock it without success, I contacted the Geed Squad. I was transferred to a man who told me that he could not help me through the phone.

He told me that I had to take the keyboard to a Best Buy. He did not ask the model or the make of the keyboard. I asked him if he could not access my keyboard online to see what the problem was , he said he could not.

I was in the middle of preparing a document that I had to finish today and could not leave my home to go to the Best Buy store which is about a 40 minute ride from my office. I hang up with him and started googling the problem.

After searching for about 15 minutes I was able to unlock the keyboard by pressing the shift key for 8 seconds.…

although I didn't want top contract the Geeksquad services, the Best buy seller pushed them to me and my family. now, 2 years after we contracted and have been paying monthly for the service, it is showing to be almost impossible to talk to a representative over the phone.

the options always lead you to a dead end. i decided to go to a store and the representative said she couldn't do anything from there. When i signed for it the salesperson even told us that if the batteries got old we could change the phone. Horrible service

I had decided to do away with my cable provider, and switch to youtubetv,com. Com on my three TV sets, and also be available to solve other electronic mysteries. I then received a text message from the Geek Squad informing me that their Geek would be arriving between 7:00AM and 12:00 noon on a specified day.

That day I woke at 6:00AM in order to be up for the arrival of the Geek. After three phone calls to the Geek Cave, the Geek finally arrived at 3:00PM. I was sooooo excited, until I noticed that my Geek seemed to be pushing buttons randomly on my tv pad and my fire stick pad.

My boyfriend has been on the phone for hours. Between, being hung up on, being blatantly ignored when he's asking questions (the person on the line is literally silent), the service has been horrible and the help is non existent.

He asked when talked to multiple people if he could speak to a manager, that is when he was hung up on twice and then completely ignored. He is now at the store to resolve the issue.

bought a new unlocked phone from best buy, added the insurance. needed a replacement phone, paid deductible and got a refurbished locked phone from geek squad. anyway, spent 2 hours in store, Kennedy was very helpful! geek squad, however, was anything but.

basically told me it wasnt their problem they sent me the wrong product, pushed it off on the store. i told me i would have to pay another deductible to try and get another replacement. of course never heard back.

I bought a laptop and 3 year protection plan 3 Mar 21. After a few months it did not work (just wouldn’t turn on). I received a replacement and that one worked for a few months and then the same thing happened again.

I filed a report (12 Jul 22) with the geek squad and received an incident # 44738026. Initially told that it would take 3-5 business days to send a shipping document. It is now 12 Sep 22 and I have received nothing and when I check the status it says in progress.

I tried to talk with someone but that seems impossible. I contacted someone in Best Buy but they couldn’t help because it was a geek squad problem and there doesn’t seem a way to speak with the geek squad as it is all online.

I have been a Geek Squad customer since 2015. 24 a year. 00 plus tax , I said I wasn't interested since I have had the other protection plan. I was told by the sales person that I would be grandfathered into the old plan and that this new one was basically for new customers.

I was told the same thing by a member of the Geek Squad while they were setting up my new computer. 99. I tried talking to someone from there but since they don't answer the phones at the store, I called the Geek Squad phone # and you always get someone that does not speak English well.

I purchased the total tech membership. I contacted them about a problem with my refrigerator on July 30. After an initial two-3 week wait time the technician came out to assess. On 9-2, the technician returns with the part and replaces the gasket around the freezer.

Two hours after he left, I could not get the freezer door opened. I can not reach anyone to get a return visit to resolve this. There is no remediation process. Every time I call they want to open a new report.

Now they tell me, they can't get someone back until September 21.

I have a 4K upscaling Samsung TV and a 5year warranty which expires 5/24/2023. My TV started dropping apps, and the sound not playing through my Samsung sound bar continued to change back to the TV speakers, and some apps would not play any sound at all.

So, the Geek Squad replaced the motherboard in the hub. I have passed my 30-day window of operating with the replaced board which I was told most of them are reworked. Currently, my TV is experiencing the same issues again.

So I had the Geek Squad return and they said they would try to warranty the TV out. 99. I am frustrated to the point that I don't care about the legal fees. I am ready to take Best Buy to court to enforce the warranty in place.
