Two weeks ago I sent my computer in to replace a cracked bezel and dented frame. THREE weeks later I get it back. Big surprise, they didn't fix it. On top of that they replaced the motherboard and reinstalled windows for no reason and without permission.

A whole year of school work and programming projects gone. I was upset, but the assistant manager offered to take it back on him and I was truly grateful but still utterly disappointed. But the problems only just started. A few days later I tried installing the MSI Center and MSI app and driver center. Neither worked.

I had a very negative encounter with a Geek Squad staff member (named Paula) who gave me incorrect information on cancelling my Geek Squad contract and then was extremely rude. When I asked for her full name or employee number, she hung up on me.

I was told that I could cancel my contract after 6 months with no penalty. Now I'm being told that I must pay the balance of this contract. I was not made aware of the details around the contract when I first purchased my computer at Best Buy and now I regret working with Best Buy at all.

I will never use Geek Squad again and will certainly let others know of my poor experience.

I called the phone multiple times and call drops, i chose the call back option and the phone gets one ring and before you can even press answer call is dropped. This is a scam service!!!

Then on the chat option..They just keep transferring me from one person to another and no response at all! what a joke and waste of people's time and money!

Your communication via text and email stinks! I'm trying to get a dishwasher installed. I wasn't told that there might be a plumbing problem the 3rd party service would not be able to do since my old dishwasher was 27 years old.

They got here before the time frame that I had been told. While they were here telling me I needed a plumber I get the message that they are on the way. A little late, don't you think??? So they left and I got someone to look at and update my plumbing.

He took it apart and took the piece to get the correct adaptor fitting. In the meanwhile I call one of you numbers to reschedule. Was put on hold and then disconnected. Called again and got a step further and waited and was eventually cut off.

I was having problems getting my iPod music backed up to my new PC. The agent ran a test of my system and said my PC needed a tune up which he ran but the iPod still wouldn’t back up to the PC.

I told the agent that my original problem was still not fixed and he said it needed to be synced and with that he initiated the sync process rather than a back up. He erased all my music (3K+ songs) from the iPod.

Then he signed out of the session before I could say anything to him. A music collection that had taken over 25 years to assemble gone!!

I have a TV installation service from GeekSquad for my TV.

First it was schedule on 15th April, 2022. NOBODY SHOWED UP AND AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT OUR CONSENT CHANGED IT TO 18TH APRIL 2PM-8PM. Now on 18th April they said they will come, we waited till 10pm, AGAIN NO ONE CAME AND APPOINTMENT AUTOMATICALLY CHANGED TO 20TH APRIL, EARLY MORNING.

Its 10 am now, NOBODY came up. looks like we will be DITCHED AGAIN. VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. PLEASE LOOK INTO THE MATTER ASAP.

Opened a chat because my audio isn't working. Yesterday an agent worked on it remotely and eventually disconnected without resolving my issue nor did they call me. Today I opened a second chat for the same problem. Without attempting to diagnose the problem, I was sent a link to make an instore appointment and then was disconnected. I opened another chat and your agent did the same thing without attempting to diagnose my problem. Instead they said it was a hardware issue and had to be taken into the store. How would they know its a hardware issue if they didn't attempt to diagnose it first?

I've been a Geek Squad member for over 10 years and this is by far the worst experience that I have had.

I received an email from them charging me a $399 service which they said I agreed to. I have never heard of this company, have never received emails or phone calls. I don’t even have this amount of money a month to pay for the service even if I wanted it.

I have no clue where or how they found me but this kind of thing scares me and makes it so I only have money on me, not on cards, no bank accounts.

I had an appointment for a service repair on 4-12-22 between 12pm-5pm. I received an email with my confirmation of my appointment being confirmed. Ordered number is 77490814. When I called in to see why no one has shown up.

The representative was rude and unprofessional. instead she just tell me to call back tomorrow because she don't know what to tell me. Then after I ask to speak with a supervisor, she just hang up. I had to make arrangements to have someone here at my house to get my appliance repaired.

Then I'm rushing off work to be home just in case they come by 5pm. And I get a no show, no call and a very very rude representative. This matter really needs to be addressed. No customer should be treated this way.

My husband and I arrive for our appointment to drop our computer off for them to transfer data from an old drive to a new drive.. We sat for 45 minutes past our appointment time. The single tech stated that someone had called off.

OK, not my circus not my monkey.. My husband explained to the Geek who finally checked us in and went over the issue that I am legally blind and rely on my computer to get my life going everyday ( my computer is set up for visual adaptablity)..

Last weekend I had an issue with some USB headphones that were not recognized by my Windows 10 computer and a After the technician did the remote session, they indicated that there was nothing they could do and that I needed to bring my computer into a Best Buy location.

There is of course nothing else wrong with my computer hardware and I believe that they have a bunch of inexperienced non-technicians who read through some FAQ files and run some remote analysis software but don't really know what they are doing. Trying to make a in home appointment on line and get the run around and passed from person to person. Their English is poor and they start passing you to different people and the hold time is crazy and when you do speak to someone they again pass you to someone else and you're again on hold.

I spent a good 20/30 mins. trying to make a in home appointment. Finally gave up. What good are they? You should be able to set up an appointment without all the run around. They want you to do everything over the phone.

I signed up for this service because I'm not tech savvy and expect to get what you sell. I've heard this complaint from others and now am experiencing it. You have to go in store and try there to set up a home appointment.

88 plus my two year membership. Order number 1122083972309. I was scheduled for delivery from 7 am to 1 pm. on 3/31/2022. I then received a change of time of 11-2 pm on my phone . After that , at about 1:30 pm I was told though a call that they were not coming until 4-5 pm .

At 4:20 I called to see where they were and I was told they were still on their way to pick up the product and then to my house , so probably arrival time at 5:30 /6:00 pm. I waisted my whole day waiting . Horrible service.

No concern or consideration of people precocious time. I couldn't even speak to a store manager because everything is run through the delivery company geek squad. Will not buy anything from Best Buy ever again.

Zero stars should be an option. Purchase my HP envy laptop from Best Buy. Several years later I needed a battery replacement. I called geek squad, they informed me they could replace my battery estimating $39-49 and that they also had the part.

Went to my scheduled appointment and was told no they do not have batteries. They sent me to two stores to try to find one. I couldn’t find one so I ordered it online. Then made a second appointment to have my battery installed.

After waiting 30 minutes I was told that I need to be a member and pay for a diagnostic test for $199! What a rip off. I wil never ever walk into a Best Buy again. Too bad since I purchased laptop, tv’s , refrigerators, washer dryers etc.

I have a Total Tech Plan with Geek Squad. My email is locked because I was hacked. I called Geek Squad Fri. Mar. 18 for online remote tech. The issue was then transferred to higher level tech; as we were working (after about an hour) I had to get off the phone for a telemedicine appt.

I have been with this service for years. In the past the quality of service from the Geek Squad was excellent. I loved the service especially since I did not have to take my computer into the store to have it repaired.

Rather than have to deal with incompetent people from other countries who barely know English, I have resorted to taking my computer into the Best Buy store to get it fixed.

I pay money for unqualified people to come online to work on my computer. The last tech I had online crashed my computer. Most of them are from other countries, do not know English very well and are not qualified to work on the products they are servicing.

When you first call, you need to wait at times 20 to 30 minutes before getting anyone to help you and then that person sends you to a Level 2…

After the technician cleared it online, I noticed my internet connection was gone. So I called your customer service and they scheduled me an in-store visit to fix the problem.

I made an appointment with an seven hour window, no one ever showed up. They called the following morning and rescheduled, again giving me a seven hour window but I was assured that it wouldn’t happen again. They promised the second time it would be within the first four hour period.

Failed to show up for repair, feb 12th failed to verify with customer of scheduled appt that were never confirmed with customer ask for call back no response on hold over 30 mins waiting for resolution from representative, never came back to the phone. Fail to update my information such as phone number and email address had to find out about appt by someone else's email.

I called and was connect to a remote session. I had a printer issue. (printing from web or cloud got pages of code) the first gal downloaded alot of software that was not needed and did not directly pertain to the issue.

I MUCH later received an email stating the problem was fixed. IT WAS NOT. I imitated another remote session and the gentleman that was working on the issue just disconnected our session. Again I received an email stating it was fixed. AGAIN IT WAS NOT.

I contacted Geeksquad to get help with connecting my moms new computer Printer to her computer. I waited in line for several minutes (almost 90 minutes) before I was connected to an agent (dont remember the agents name) who was helping me with my moms computer printer issue.

This agent was helping me with this issue for a while and then I was disconnected for some strange reason ( I even supplied the agent with my phone number) , but after being disconnected for a few minutes this agent was able to reconnect with me and work with me on the printer issue remotely.

This agent again worked on my mom computer a while longer and then I noticed they were disconnected from me yet again, the Geeksquad windows were all closed out and gone ( I believe this agent disconnected and closed everything…

I went in to ask about replacing or upgrading my laptop and when i saw a laptop that would cost me about the same as the uograde with warranty i asked him if i could buy that one and he said no that my laptop was better and that the laptop i was looking at had a generic version of office and that id never be able to upgrade it.

I called Geek squad to have them help me hook up my printer (which by the way the same printer I had been using at another residence). 3 1/2 hrs later he hung up on me and when I went to my computer it was totally disabled.

The geek squad member had went into my computer and deleted my service to the internet but internally resetting my password to the internet and deleting the drive! I had to call my internet provider and they confirmed that the drive and the password had been internally changed!

He was hooked up to my computer so who knows what else he did while in there. My faith in the geek squad is completely gone and so is my trust in them! I want action taken against this individual that did this to my computer.

Absolutely horrible every single time. Have called 6 times now with the same complaint and have wasted hours on the phone and computer with Geek Squad. They say they will call you once completed and never do. My issue should be quite simple to resolve for them. Continue to get junk mail in my inbox. Asked them to set up rules to make this stop or whatever they need to do. Two days I received 118 junk emails. After spending 3 hours on the phone with them, it went up to 130. No delete rules created. None of my emails were blocked/deleted and I never even knew the rep was done/gone. No text on chat window or all advising anything. Will be stopping my protection plan. I seem to know as much if not more than the Geek Squad. They should be paying me.

I ask the Geek Squad to replace the battery on my IPhone 10 Xms pro. When I went to pick it up. The screen was cracked. I was told the protected shield covering cause the screen to crack. They further stated they would not pay to fix it.

We have had our vizio 55in tv for almost 3 years. We hardly ever use it. Now our warranty is up and it is not working, it has not been working for over 6 months. I have tried to get someone out here to fix it, but they will not come out without me paying.

There is no reason for this tv to not work. We never ever use it, but now it will not turn on. I have had the company run diagnostics on it as well, to no avail. If you can run diagnostics, can't you see the usage?

There have been 3 separate visits from Geek Squad or A&E. I have changed my schedule three days. The first visit should have accomplished it. But there was an error in the work ticket. The A&E employee could not correct the work ticket.

I was on the phone for 1 hour and 26 minutes with Geek Squad. The Geek Squad employees at the call center were Cha, Agent G and the final person would not provide a name. The work ticket should have been for a refrigerator, oven, dishwasher (with a spring hinge broken).

However, the order was for 2 refrigerator (one with a spring hinge broken). I had to have another Geek Squad visit. The Geek arrived (late because his GPS sent him to a different town) and said it’s the spring hinge. I said I know.

Geek squad Augusta Georgia tech support was originated 14 Dec 2021. The issue started out as a wireless printer issu e that couldn't be repaired at my home.. I turned computer in and was told it would be sent off..

I received call from Bufford GA saying they would return to Augusta store. My computer when returned was making a beeping sound.. Purchased new computer. Geeks quad was scheduled to come January 2. No Show. Rescheduled for January 9. King did not complete the job. Had to call rescheduled for today between 7 AM and 12. No show. Called 800 number they said they were coming today and gave us cell phone number of agent.

Delivery driver came in where I live (The Falls of Inverrary) and was driving too fast and went around me as i was trying to park my car. I asked him why he was going so fast as there are signs everywhere stating the speed limit is 10 mph.

Had an appointment to install a radio in my daughters car. The Tech could not get the radio to work , he told me to order a certain model radio, so I did. when I came back for my second appointment I was told it was the wrong radio, which the tech told me to order.

So I had them order the radio. When I had received the radio I went to make an appointment I was told that I would have to drive 40 minutes to have it installed. I never encountered such incompetency.
