Green dot is a SCAM! My replacement card was sent to the wrong address. I called in to get my card since it expired 11/2019 and I was supposed to get a new one. They said it was sent out and asked me to verify my address, they had a different address. 00 on it.

I said I need to talk to a supervisor. They refused and said they couldn’t verify who I was. I gave them my social and all info. They said there was nothing they could do since my phone # changed.

Refused to send me to supervisor. My son is getting no Christmas presents because they are SCAMMERS!! They stole my money, do not use these horrible people. Now my autistic son gets no Christmas and they did not care AT ALL.

Filing a complaint with the BBB and attorney general that they scam people. They stole my money.

I made and cancelled a grocery order from Walmart they cancelled it but the money wasn't back in my account I called Green Dot repeatedly they kept giving me the run-around, Walmart gave me this information to give them, the confirmation# WBM7396H4WD2 The order # 7607192715064 & Customer service# 1800-924-9206 All they had to do was call or even FAX them but they didn't want to hear it I get 1 check each month I can't afford to loose $40 especially when I called on the 9th of December they confirmed Walmart had gotten in touch with them and

my $40 would be back in my account by Friday the 13th

I received a prepaid $120 gift (debit) card in October. I registered it right away. Last night, 12/14/2019, I tried to pay for a meal using the card. It expired on 11/2019 and I could not use it. I called your customer service line at 10:22 MST this morning (12/15/2019).

The automated line confirmed that the card was expired and instructed me to request a new card from the attendant. The attendant answered and I requested a new card or a check for the funds in the account. The attendant asked me to hold.

After two more holds (I was willing to be patient), she came back on the line at an elapsed time of 15 minutes. I again explained that all I wanted was my money and asked what steps are required. She became argumentative and put me on hold again (without asking me to hold).

I just got a green Dot card and I had a refund place on it because I didn't have my bank card. Green Dot block my card and won't let me get my money off I've called several times and they made me wait for a supervisor.

There supervisor are very unknowledgable and uncaring that this happened I told them I have kids and I'm living house to house they didn't seem to give a damn about my issue. Then they tell me I have to prove that to them that I did the refund they need a receipt I don't have one.

So how am I supposed to get my refund back on top of that I'm currently going through a law suit towards them so there going to owe me more than what my refund was for. I would never work with green Dot again and will make it none all over the place if this is not handle.

I never got a permanent Green Dot card with my name on it. I couldn't use my temporary card (even though it is registered) on an ATM or make any kind of purchase. I have deposited a sizable dollar amount that I can't access.

The automated phone system is crap, the live customer service representative are not helpful, even when you ask for a supervisor. I asked if I could cancel the account and be given a refund. They said no. I asked if I could get a permanent card with my name on it since the account is active and my information is in the system. They said no.

They said my only option is to buy another Green Dot card. I said thanks for nothing and hung up.

I bought a load and go card for $150. Registered card with my correct address immediately. Card balance did not load until next day. Tried to make an online purchase and kept getting declined. Tried contacting customer service by phone.

No real person to call and verify info. Tried the chat and kept getting automated type responses. Tried calling corporate. No response. I have now lost $150. Was told by the chat bot that i was not approved for online purchases and could only do point of sale or in store purchases.

Tried buying something in a store and it did not work either. Extremely angry. Where is my money?! I also cannot get the money off the card in any way.

As soon as I deposited my check my account was blocked and now they are telling me I have to send them proof of who I am in order to get a "refund check" instead of them just taking the block off my card now I am forced to live off of air and pennies until they decide to send me a check and their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced!

One of their reps Rudy hung up in my face as I was trying to explain to her that I am a mother of 3 and that paycheck was all that I had. I would give zero stars if I could!

I also put in a "ticket" to get a call back from a supervisor and as u could have guessed I NEVER received a call back

I couldn't access a bank transfer on the website. I could do this on the app. I tried the chat and they kept giving me the wrong information.

Finally someone had greendot call me. When they called they wanted to speak to my autistic son. We got this card for him to have spending money. I tried to tell whomever was on the call that he could not hold a conversation with her.

She said he needed to authorize the call. I said ask him something so he can answer you to do that. We finally told him to "I authorize". I asked her if that was what she wanted. She stopped talking to us and then finally hung up on us.

I thought reps were not supposed to hang up on you. This is discrimination.

Green Dot is holding my money and they have not sent my replacement card and then been telling for 3 days i should have received it and check my local post office and still nothing and my money is on my old card but i cant use it. Customer Service Reps are crap and can not help you and when you ask for a manager they hang up on you or mute you until you hang up.

I noticed that 3 transactions were made to my account that I never actually made, I messaged support and they gave me a number to call to try and fix the issue but instead I was locked out of my account entirely and have no way of being reimbursed of the money that was stolen from me and no longer have a way for my direct deposit to be made. I really hope this issue can be fixed soon.

I had unauthorized payments taken out of my account. So, I called to file a report and the customer service rep did was not answering the question I needed and was being very rude. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he refuses to connect me to one.

He rather argues with me on the phone. I ask for his dispatched number and he refused that too. It was very stressful and unprofessional. I've been a Greendot customer for a long time and to be treated the way I did make me want o try another company.

I damaged my card and ordered a new one (Green dot unlimited) which I received, my direct deposit went to the card I cancelled. I have two cards on file and I Only want to cancel the old card. I have made over 30 phone calls to gd and the automated app is not much help at all .

I used my green dot card at a Shell gas station in Durham, NC. 00. I called green dot to file an dispute which was denied like 7 times. I had to get in contact with a detective in South Carolina which he investigated letting me know that my card was hacked.

My only option is to sue Green Dot Company because they wouldn't give me my $300 back, which I have proof that my Green Dot card was hacked. Thank you, very unsatisfied customer.

I phoned last night and talk to a human. But at the end of the conversation I was led to believe that my 795 monthly charge would be returned, before my card was deactivated. She only returned the $1 purchase price, not the $7.95 monthly fee. I don't feel I could be required you pay a monthly fee for a card that got deactivated after 5 days.

I want my money back, or I'll be initiating legal action.

Nobody should buy their card!!! In small print I later read Not a Gift Card - Jokers wanted my SSN# online to open a bank account. Rep was no help. RUN!

They placed a hold for two $300 payments when I only paid 1 bill for $300 and then they told me I have to wait 2 weeks to get my $300 back. I never authorized a second payment nor did the merchant and they are only showing one payment was made to them.

Whenever I call the rep hangs up on me or they just tell me they can't do anything because it is a pending transaction and it won't drop off until 11/19. So now I can't pay my other bills or buy groceries for my family.

This company is the worst and once I get my money back I will be cancelling my account.

Green Dot bank is a crooked company that doesn't want to give you your money back from holds. All they want to do is make money off of holding your money hostage. My husband and I have worked hard for our money and they refuse to give us our money back even when the company that was originally holding it for a hotel deposit has released it back to us.

It has been a month and my account is still frozen on my unlimited card. I have four greendot accounts for years and have never had a problem. I have done what was asked of me and I was told LAST week when I called that it would be 24 hours and account would be unfroze.

Account is still frozen but yet Greendot took the monthly maintenance fee out . How is that good customer service? HOW? It's not. I have been a Customer Service manager and also a GM of a hotel and steakhouse and I would be ashamed of this service,it's a disgrace.

It's not even about the money any longer its the principle and really am debating on closing all my accounts even one I've had for a few years.
