I ordered Readers Digest through Groupon on November 2021 and have received only one magazine. I've been asking Groupon Customer Support for assistance for almost one month with no response.
Customers report severe issues with Groupon's operational reliability, including chronic non-delivery of products, merchants refusing to honor purchased vouchers, and virtually impossible-to-reach customer service with no functioning phone support. I have asked for a refund on a trip I purchased because we needed to purchase a different date instead, and have keep getting told its been escalated for almost a week now. I have spoke with live chat several times and nothing gets done.
They only ever say it's been escalated and we will be in touch. completely unprofessional and a bit on the crooked side.
Why can there not be a - minus star rating?? I inadvertently hit BUY while I was trying to just check the availability of a cruise. While every other merchant on Groupon DID show availability, Sydney Event Cruises.. actually, they showed EVERYTHING as being available and when you booked YOU were NOT given a confirmed DATE for that booking!!???
So on realising what I had done I immediately contacted live chat "customer service" Ajay was beyond unhelpful.... as I expected and just replied by rote... without even addressing the issues I had raised. ie like date and time availability.

I would like to make a complain about one of the tours provided. It was the safari tour by iconic tourism dubai. I’ve purchased 2 vip tickets for my in-laws. As their first time they were truly disappointed by the service.
They were made to wait in the car for 3hours,then to arrive at the desert late. They missed the camel rides and all the other activities. Then another 3 hours back to hotel. They were truly upset.

I tried on two consecutive days on the Groupon website to book the Raffles meal I had purchased but was unable to. Your webpage wouldn't let me book. So, given the voucher was due to expire on the 31st May, I rang the restaurant Raffles at the Peacock Hotel direct and booked a table. NOTE: I have purchased a lot on Groupon but this attempted purchase today from American Laser Crafts was a real rip off. I tried to buy a $4 (sale) luggage tag but in the end with shipping one tag was $28 and two were $35… for a frickin’ luggage tag.. Groupon issued me a coupon for a now defunct company. I asked for a refund to a specific card on file. The customer service rep instead credited a gift card I used for the original purchase even though I told the rep that the gift card was expired and had been destroyed.
Customer Service management now wants me to chase my money from the issuer of the gift card, a non profit that offers respite to cancer patients. This is reprehensible on top of dishonesty and incompetence.

Hello. I bought tickets to a Jurassic Quest event in a Bristol, TN. It was advertised on Groupon as March 11-13. I clicked the link and bought 3 tickets for today March 13. I have this screenshot.
However the event is not today. It’s actual dates are March 18-20. So I have purchased tickets for an event today but there is no event today. I can get ahold of no one via online chat, phone or email.

I chatted with a customer service agent this morning about a deal question. He called me by the wrong name and then I questioned that. He said the account owner would have to contact them to change the name. He wouldn't tell me where he got this other name but he told me he changed the name.
I am highly bothered by this because he wouldn't admit he was wrong and apologize. It makes me question account security.
I bought a groupon for a dermal filler service. When I contacted the merchant they said they do not offer under eye filler with that groupon unless you buy 1-2 more vials of filler from them and only through them.. not groupon.
So I tried to get my money back but I could not. So instead I got groupon bucks. I have no use for $380 of groupon bucks. None of the mechants offer under eye filler and none of them state that in their ad.
Giving people groupon bucks in exchange of a refund for service not offered is a predatory practice. Especially when you consider none of the business's state that they will not perform the service you bought unless you spend an extra $800-$1000 with them.
I feel as though nothing will probably be done to resolve this but I thought I might as well email you guys…

But I bought my Groupon 10/18/2021 and made an appointment that was cancelled via text message the day before, "Hello Lynde, this is UDream Dental - LOS ANGELES, CA. We need to cancel your visit we have no Hygiene. We will call you soon when we do. Thank you sorry for the inconvenience. Janet."
I proceeded to follow up three times and they are still out of Hygiene. They have been selling on Groupon this entire time knowing they are unable to provide their services. Super shady.
I purchased a hotel deal in manchester , i was poorly and rang the hotel to change the date. They said they had no controll over this and to contact groupon. I did contact groupon by live chat. They said it was the hotels responsibly to resolve.

Purchased a Groupon for “one porcelain tooth crown.” When I redeemed it at the providers office, they deducted $500 from my bill and still charged me $550 for the crown. When I messaged Groupon, I was told “the fine print states the service was for a cleaning only” and that was how the merchant worded it. It also stated in the fine print that “the crown procedure will be done in two appointments (first appointment is to prepare the crown, second appointment two weeks later to place it.) No where does it say $500 off a crown.
No customer protection at all or service , i have purchased a service same time I arrived realized the facility does not meet the requirements contacted for a refund. And spoken to multiple chats but all just tell me ask the merchant to send an email.

Due to Corona I got a voucher instead of the money back for a concert I booked. S few weeks ago I was reminded to use my voucher. So I bought a few things on 14th November. One of them was never delivered.
But I was charged for it. If I check in the app it says it was delivered, but I never got it! Even though I have sent emails, I only get a reply saying it’s being checked on. There is no hotline to call!!

In my experience groupon is the company with the worst customer service. I will never order from groupon again, they clearly do not want to take responsibility or help their customers when their is a problem. The customer care advisor are the worst it’s like banging ur head against a wall..
in total I spoke to 7 different advisors none of them resolved my problem, theyre we’re all just sending me robotic responses, to be honest in the end I gave up since it was causing me more stress.. so basicall I am a customer left without a product and no refund all becuse Groupan have the worst customer service and CANNOT HELP THEIR CUSTOMERS!

Groupon advertise this hotel as a great place to stay,well i would disagree 100% wrong. Hotel room was dirty,smelled really bad,found bugs in hotel,took bug in plastic bag to hotel desk where they changed my room but that didnt help at all,room was just as bad.

I was sent an email on September 26 to my Canadian email address. I am a Canadian customer. The offer was to by a $10.00 Starbucks card for $5.00. I picked up the message on the 27th and decided to go ahead and do it. I had difficulty retrieving the offer in My Stuff. I have bought few sessions of the laser through Groupon right before the lockdown. I booked an initial session but because of the Government regulations the establishment had t to close and I never used it but was told that would be ok to use after. After few months i found out that the merchant has redeemed my voucher and me and Groupon tried to contact the merchant but they just disappeared. Now I have a case against Groupon through the Resolver site and they are asking them again to prove that I did not use it. I have sent all the messages that I exchanged with Merchant proving that I did not use it. They are delaying my refund since they also tried and got nothing.
What else can I do, I have the proof that I did not use it, the merchant don't answer, Groupon failed to contact it…
I purchased 2 perfumes from different merchants on groupon. One of the merchants did not send me timely confirmation of the shipping or the tracking info. Then it showed delivered. The other merchant did provide me with the info.
However, coincidently I did not receive both purchases from Groupon even though it shows that it was delivered. I purchased other items from other sites the same day and got delivered and the day that Groupon purchases were allegedly delivered.
All the rest of my purchases for that week got delivered except for Groupon. Neither the merchant or Groupon have accounted for this transaction, they have completely ignored my request to refund me my money.

I purchased a massage on Groupon and it expired on July 31st. I called to make an appointment before then and was told “they would still honor it” but couldn’t get me in until October!!! I can’t get anyone to help me, I would like to be refunded my money back please!

There are several. the first is that they discontinued customer service through a human voice. It's now all email or online chat. Time consuming and the chat people cannot solve problems.
Also, I purchased a cleaning service. I am unable to get through to them to book my cleaning. Their phone number always says that the mailbox is full. I send an SMS message and they never call. I email and they never respond. They are called LVS Cleaning Company.
Groupon has not responded to help with this. i asked them to please try to reach the company for me or to give me a refund and the chat person does nothing. That means I'm stuck and my only recourse is to post a bad review.
