Good Morning! I debated for a couple weeks about sending this, but ultimately decided I should.

First, I have been using H & R Block tax services since 2003 and up until last year, I was very pleased with the services I was provided. Frank Kinney was my tax preparer, before switching to the Olathe, KS location two years ago due to location convenience.

Michelle Badsford was my tax preparer last year and again this year. I dropped my tax documents off at the office, and she did an excellent job getting my taxes completed and filed quickly.

2019 Taxes filed in 2020 by H&R block. We paid $275.00 to H&R block for their services

When Taxes were completed, we were told we owed $$ to the IRS because my employer did not take out enough in Federal Taxes. (Which we found odd, because we have not had to pay additional taxes in years?

We Paid H&R block and we sent a check to the IRS for taxes owed.

The next month we received a letter from the IRS saying we owed an additional $143.00

I called and talked to H&R block, they said it is a mistake and they (H&R block) would handle it.

The next month a second letter came from the IRs demanding payment, again I called H&R block and they said they would handle

A third letter came from the IRS. threatening to take my house, car etc. to cover the costs... it was $149.00 !

When the tax preparation took place it was said that the refund would be direct deposit to bank account on file from previous year which was already on file. It was not known immediately how much advance was approved on emerald card upon leaving HR tax office. Unfortunately, tax preparer "assumed" the full refund w/b issued on emerald card. She did not verify what our intent was for the sake of clarity.

The minimal amt. $250. was not used and therefore, added to the remainder of refund totaling $4,851.00.

I was dissatisfied to later find out that this was the case. I contacted Tax Office and spoke w/ Doris (manager) She somewhat dismissed this error as trivial but, mentioned it was tax preparer's responsibilty to confirm w/customer method of refund. Not having done so presented a number…

I had an awful experience with my tax preparer at h&r block in speedway Indiana. I showed up 10 min prior to my appointment time to find out my tax preparer had left a little while prior but should have already returned and she did not end up arriving till an hour passed my appointment time and

she never even called to let her coworkers know when she would return. Then when she finally did arrive WHILE doing my taxes she continuously stopped to text or speak with who she said was her boyfriend so I had to wait on her time and time again after already waiting an hour passed my appointment time to even start.

I just called to get information about my money and the representative I talked on the phone with was extremely rude and hostile toward me when all I was doing was trying to get some information. She then persisted to raise her voice at me and then hang up in my face saying she was not going to help me when all I did was ask a question.

I don't feel somebody like this should be working in customer service. This experience definitely has me not wanting to come back to h&r block next year.

I used H&R Block Premium 2021 to prepare my son's tax return. The program does not accurately calculate the ACA premium tax credit for individuals who received unemployment compensation in 2021. I have reported the issue to their customer service and they don't seem particularly interested in correcting the problem.

I just downloaded a tax program from HR Block's website. I couldn't import my business files. I tried chat for help. After 30 minutes, Victoria said their tax programs have issues and there was nothing she could do! So I happened to have the Tech support number. I talked to this person for an hour. No idea. I filed my taxes with H&R Block in 2018 and they forgot to file state taxes in the process. Later in November of 2021 I received a letter from the Department of Revenue saying I OWE back taxes with interest to the state.

In November of 2021 I immediately made an appointment with H&R Block to find out it was a mistake on the initial filing and that the person just FORGOT to file the state taxes. In the end I paid for my initial appointment with H&R Block and then paid another $118 for an appointment in November of 2021 to be told the person made a mistake.

I used this service for the first time due to a more complicated tax return for expatriation as I wanted to make sure I filled out the two forms correctly (1040NR and 1040). My financial situation is not complex at all and I have filed previous returns myself.

I spend time filling in the info for self-filing. Paid for the two forms, the exit tax form and for the possibility of asking questions via email. Close to 350$. I did not get access to the two tax files and after 3 Business days got an email from India telling me to switch to the advisor filing option and enter the infomration again because the expat tax form is complicated. Worked with H&R in past but at this office the Customer service SUCKS. Receptionist acts like she has better things to do with her time. You make an appointment and sit around for an additional half hour. Tell them about multi state W2's and how it was done in past and you just get person that talks themselves up, doesn't listen to your input and turns out has NO Clue.

After 2-weeks of her investigating was given wrong info regarding other state taxes. Freaked us out thinking we now owe 20+ years of back taxes. Wife made a couple calls found out H&R was wrong. After another couple weeks it was finally corrected.

H&R Block has really upset my mom. First of all, she had been waiting on her second stimulus check for a while. The IRS said it was H&R Block’s fault (who she filed taxes with previously), and H&R Block said it was the IRS’ fault. I received the CTC payment to the WRONG ACCOUNT and the IRS has the correct information for direct deposit to the correct account for a different Emerald Card.

I called Customer Service to inquire about a resolution, but was given the run around, inaccurate information and was not offered a solution to my satisfaction.

Had my axes done by H&R block for the last 5-6 years. Every year they ask about selling me extra protection if there is a problem with my taxes, figured since they were a good company I never brought it.

This year they told me my return would be $1,694 . and would recieve it in about 21 days, this was on March 15th. I went out and spent most of this with a credit card, knowing that I was getting 1,694 back.

I had H&R Block do my taxes for 2019 and 2020. In 2019 I was assured by Earl, the "tax professional" that I was to receive a state refund of $1200. After receiving a letter from the state telling me that they needed additional documents to verify the Credit for Income Taxes Paid to Other Jurisdictions I contacted the H&R Block office and was told that they would not help me, that it was my responsibility.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever encountered. While filing with a “tax professional “ I informed her this can not be right your missing something or doing something wrong. She said no I’m not the president changed the laws.

So after filing I asked them to take a second look. Well she was wrong and made a 7000 dollar error. This was in March. I still have but received my tax refund and it’s almost July. I’ve emailed regional and no response.

I filled filebruary 28th accepted March 6th. Waited weeks for information only to finally get a hold of the office to find out the preparer filed my taxes without my kids info and without an amount I was due. So I paid for a tax prep that never happened.

As a result I've had to file an amended return. It has been months of delay forcing me to wait for the rest of my last two stimulus payments my taxes and I'm sure delaying my monthly child payments due to start next month.

All with no refund for what I paid and no contact from my preparer to apologize or attempt to fix things.

Tax agent didn’t check my tax stubs, and the company I worked for gave me the wrong year for w2, I agree it should be handled with through the company, but also, how did the agent not catch this? How did the agent actually go through with filing my taxes and was never brought to my attention?

So they initially connect me to a woman tax pro and when I woke up the next morning it changed to a man named Kenneth Vale. it was completely unnecessary as I had already spent hours answering those very same questions.

When I told him that I don't have a computer and that I already spent hours answering those very same questions and to reanswer them on my phone would take literally hours, and I asked him to please call me, his response was "I don't have time to call, keep answering the questions!

I have received services causing me to owe for two years. Come to find out, the taxes were prepared incorrectly by H&R Block and the still haven’t corrected them because they are too complex and not a priority. Yet they said they were done incorrectly and I’m due a refund on taxes and penalties owed for 2018 and 2019 returns. Proven to be the worst company ever. Employee gives fax number to send over a needed document for taxes. Upon arrival to office, I inquire where faxed document was. I am then told they dont have a fax machine because NO ONE USES FAX machines any more.

Upon hearing my displeasure, he then tells me to get the F**k out of the office. I tell him that he hasn't heard the last of this, and he says that I am threatening him and he shouts again get the F^^k out of the office.
