The Salesperson in Brick, NJ was very pushy and misleading. I was told that I could cancel anytime only to find out that I was locked in for 6 months. I signed up for personal training for me and my husband for $200/person which is $400/month for both of us but in one account, my name only.

So today we decided it was not for us because my husband has a permanent disability which will inhibit him from doing any work out that could make his disability worst. We were told that we can't cancel because we signed a contract and we are responsible for it but if we want to cancel, we can pay off 50% of the total to get out of the contract which is about $900.

It's ridiculous and a very bad way to get people to join this gym. They outright lied to us. I will have to put a complain with the BBB…

The car salesman like person at the LA FITNESS IN AURORA WA was working at a sloth like pace. I asked her if she could speed up the process in order to get a workout in and she said she will not speed up whatsoever and she will go at the slow pace because that’s how she works. Desire’s customer service Skills were nonexistent. Makes me want to cancel my membership.

I am making a complaint about the Inglewood gym on Century Blvd. I find the reception people to rude and unwelcoming. They don't acknowledge or greet you. I find it a little offensive. The device is on the counter and for you to check yourself in while the reception people either ignore you or have personal conversations. They are courteous at all. That should be a minimum standard.

So irritated! And this is how I begin my day.

Filthy. All the Classes are at 10 decibels!!!! With doors wide open. Disruptive to the entire gym. Loud rock music on my headphones can’t block out their yelling. Very annoying. People never seen cleaning on the floor. Not enough sanitizer spray bottles. Sanitizer machines always empty. Machines not wiped down.

Broke machines are broke for months. Bathrooms are filthy. Smell. Is this enough?????

I have been in the LA Fitness branch in Glendale twice in the last week or so. On both occasions several people in the gym were not wearing masks while working out. On one occasion I saw someone walk into the gym w/o a mask.

Given the rise in delta covid, should you not be enforcing the "must wear a mask rule" that has been adopted state-wide. Thanks and best wishes, David

I worked in Indianapolis, IN off shore drive and was replaced on my shift without being notified. I want to be paid my my hours from 08/02-08/05 18 hours and 08/09 4 hours that I worked and was unable to clock in that Monday 8/05. One of the lady workers was there and knew of this matter.

I got robbed and they don't have cameras so they couldn't find out who took it and the lady said she was in the bathroom while it happened which was suspicious but whatever but I do admit I should have locked it but I just got off of work and was in a rush, thinking its a nice gym no one would steal anything.

And all the manager said was well thats why u should get a lock.. I really think they should get cameras

I’ve been going to LA fitness for a month with my friend as a guest and I was planning on getting a membership till I came across the rude employees that work there especially this one white guy I don’t know his name but he was being super disrespectful and was making comments of my appearance and what I was wearing to MY FRIEND and ever since I just never felt comfortable going back there and

it wouldn’t be the first time he has bothered me or people I know. I’m highly disappointed because i was looking forward getting a membership with my friend even though it was out of my budget.

The hot tub @ the club in Everett Wa has been out of commission for months now! Nothing but excuses as to why they can’t repair the hot tub. This is part of our membership package that we are paying for as one of the benefits.

I visited the Grand Prairie, Texas location this morning and on my way out I asked for a manager so that I could share a few things. The young lady at the desk (Alicia) stated that she could help me.

I told her that he clock in the pool area was not working, the paper towel dispensers in the locker room needed to be refilled and that the overall appearance of the locker room need attention. There always seems to be an issue with the hot tub and the temperature of the water in the pool is inconsistent.

I explained that this location is closest to me and I do not want to consider going to another location at which point she replied "you have to do what you need to do". She then said that the individual responsible for cleaning the locker room was off today.

Yesterday August 11, 2021 at approximately 9:45 A.M. I was brutelly attacked by a large black man at the gym claiming he was at my machine I was at. A witness who I did not know came up to me and said she saw the whole thing. Staff did nothing but talk to him and he said the opposite and had two friends there to back him up Carol at front desk called the police They came and the black man and his friends left before the police came, They basically would do nothing but file a incident report and said I had to file a misdemeanor report with State Attorneys office.

What I want you to to do is to warn this man if he does this again that he will not be allowed in the gym. I am a 74 year old woman and I dont need to be harrassed like that. If he did this to me I am sure he has done it to others…

As you know we have an epidemic going as well. So for about more 5 weeks now , no paper towels no soap in the container on the wall ever are avail morning to anytime PM . (sure ) He return to his papers work following day no thing had been done.

The gym in Wayne, NJ is dirty at times and the equipment is old and needs to be repaired or replaced. Joy, the manager of the aerobics classes is not very helpful. Whenever you contact her with a concern or problem she is mean and very defensive.

I understand that since Covid - there has been less classes offered but it has been over a year and the class selection is terrible. If I wanted to just work with weights and equipment - I would go to a gym and pay $10 a month.

A lot of members joined LA Fitness for the classes. It would be nice if you worked on getting instructors and getting those classes back up. Thank you

The Wi-Fi in the location I belong to failed after a storm several weeks ago, I inquired about the repair several times but was sidestepped several times. Finally I was told Wi-Fi was not their concern a the moment. Not good for public perception or service, to bad location is close to home and it is all about customer service.

Air conditioning has not been working in the main weight area as well as other areas in the club for going on 3 weeks now. It is excessively HOT in these areas, with NO movement of air. It is in the high 90’s and very humid outside daily with is making this worse. This is totally unacceptable.

I am a member at the Farmingdale location and have been calling all day and no one is picking up 8/6.

Also the WIFI has been out for over 2 weeks and can’t get a clear answer as to when it will be restored. I have had to go to another club but has become a major inconvenience. Literally called everyday and no one knows???

The manager did good job from keping the gym clean to changeing the immage of the jym. once it was became unsafe safe do criminals and drug pushers coming to show off each other. My complaint is why the sweming pool emergency door being kept open all the time. I myself too.

When you exercise in the pool some elderly got bronchitis from draft.

Also dry sauna room needs attention needs water hosing of wood chairs and floor due heavy sweating take place. Over all I am very happy and pleased of many Emploess works at jym. Thank you

I purchase a training package and was trying to set up a schedule and nobody returned my call, so I went down there to schedule a training session and they had nobody to meet with me. This is after I have paid and signed an agreement for the training service. What I don't like is to be treated with disrespect with no one returning my calls.

I have been going to your 2656 Hylan Blvd 2nd floor 250, Staten Island NY 10306 location, since it open early this year. I join because you have a pool and I am trying to complete a Triathlon. I have been asking this location when the pool will open since March 2021. They have been giving be excuses after excuses. Waiting on Permits, Waiting on lifeguard, not ready will let you know. Its been over 6 months since you open this location and I pass by the pool area almost everyday and its says closed.

And your website says indoor pool with no asterisk next to it.

LA Fitness of North Miami, Florida keeps sending "male staff" into the ladies lockeroom (=bathroom, showers, sauna, dressing and bathing areas) WITHOUT WARNING!! The ladies scream at them to give notice. What male staff does in walk right saying nothing.

Women are naked, on toiliet, showering, undressing, tampons/pads, adult pants suddenly look up and a man is RIGHT THERE! Then they leave a sign which sits there ALL DAY, basically claiming a man can walk in anytime. This is the same problem..

not telling women a male is walking inside. We are inside the lockers 2 or 3 hrs, a sign at entrance, but NO MALE ENTERS... suddenly, without warning a man is standing there!!! A woman found herself inside the shower when a male employee was RIGHT THERE.. no notice.

On Friday 7/23/21, I prepayed $27 cash at the front desk. I expected a prepayment email as I've always received and it didn't come. My account wasn't credited and my 8/04/21 next payment wasn't extended to 9/04/21 as my last email said.

When I called the next day the manager Zack at the SR 436(Semoran Blvd) Winter Park location doesn't believe me and has been giving me the run around ever since. It's very easy to check with the employees (Jessica and some unnamed guy) or video to see that I payed.

I am frustrated and very upset that a manager would think I or anyone would lie about paying $27. If this isn't resolved I will attain a attorney. Zack has no business managing if he can't resolve a simple issue like this.

Hey, so I signed up for a personal trainer but every week he would NEVER answer none of them would and I would always get switched to a new one never learned anything. When I tried to cancel they said I owed 700 dollars just to cancel I was not ONCE explained that I had to pay half of what I still owed.

The guy told me you can cancel whenever you want never said I had to pay anything. I also explained that I got let go of my job so there’s no way I could keep paying for something I was not satisfied with.

I have more important things to pay like BILLS. Thank you.

As discussed with Priscilla I was bullied out of the pool first by the desk person telling me to leave immediately and I refuse. Then I was verbally threatened by the GM for not leaving the pool area. “ The GM then said I am doing my job and you have one more lap or I am going to have you escorted out of the pool.

I am a 69 year old man and I do not accept this ageist bullying persona that this GM tried to intimidate. I only left to cool off and determine how the complaint is going to be delivered. I expect an apology by the young lady and the GM face to face.

I have complained about the cleanliness of the pool at the Broomall pa location three separate times via email and once in person in the last two months. The pool area has not been cleaned regularly and the area surrounding it either.

I understand it’s Covid and they are understaffed but cleanliness keeps a place open. I can send pictures of the white gunk in the pool, dirt and residue on the floor and sides of the pool. It has to change. Please contact me.

I normally like my Hollywood (El Centro) LA Fitness, but since I unfroze my membership a couple of months after they reopened, I've found more and more members wearing their masks under their chin or with their noses sticking out. I'd say yesterday, 7/26/21, fully 20% of the members (and a few of the staff) wore their masks in this way.

The vast majority of men in the locker room wore no mask at all and refused to put one on when I asked them to en masse. I complained to the front desk and they shrugged and said there was nothing they could do, the members ignore them too.

I went to your gym located at 1000 Federal Highway in Pompano Beach Florida today. A female member of the gym thought I jumped in front of her on a certain piece of equipment. I was unaware at the time that this happened because I looked around and there was no one on that piece of equipment.

She had her bag lying on the equipment chair/bench that I wanted to use so I asked her politely if she was using it. She ripped into me and said that I jumped in front of her and that if I were to look around and look her in the eyes I would’ve noticed that she was going for that same piece of equipment I wanted to use .

I told her that was ridiculous that I don’t look every member in the eyes before I jump on a piece of equipment if it looks like it’s available I take it and sometimes even ask people…

The new PTD they hired wears his mask hanging off his face while other managers enforce the policy. He comes in to play basketball while on the clock. This man obviously thinks his job is fun and games. People come to the gym to improve their health why he is on the job endangering the lives of others. A huge disappointment of LA fitness in Secaucus NJ, and member services.

I have been faced by an acceptable behaviour, reached up to harassment in the street by one of staff of La Fitness in Secaucus NJ. The case has been handled poorly by the member service and management, who did not care. The establishment did not take any appropriate measures toward my complain. the management was not able to apologise for such unacceptable behaviour, nor to control their out of control staff member. I had to request cancelation of my membership, I did not feel safe to go to this facility, notwithstanding, the careless management, which shows the values of the place.

Their facility on Haskell Rd. Dallas, TX has bad maintenance practices. Their jacuzzi does not work for well over a month now, and many treadmills and bikes have inoperative LCD screens. I complained to management several times, but nothing is done to fix it.

Moreover, they have removed and left empty most of their disinfectant bottles as if COVID-19 is not a threat anymore. Terrible attitude.

On every occasion an appointment has been made for me with a specific person the person does not keep the appointment but instead someone else "handles" me. I keep my appointments and expect others to keep appointments with me. Being passed around like this isd disrespectful and discourteous.

I have complained every time this has happened and yet I keep getting treated the same way. If this does not change I will be terminating my membership and demanding a refund -- since I have not yet used the gym for a single workout.

Scheduled Aqua Fit classes are a disaster at the Washington Blvd location in Baltimore. The lane ropes are too tight and can not be pulled for the class. The manager keeps says "I have to get my maintenance guy". By the way, maintenance has always been an issue for the 5 or so years that I have been a member.

There was a situation where the shower head need to be replaced in the pool area. It took almost a year to get that done. It was a simple fix, Walmart was next door and all someone had to do was purchase a shower head, remove the old one and screw the new one on.

There are machines that have been broken for several weeks/months and have not been repaired; There are no dumbbell weights, 5, 10, 15 and 20 - a lot of people are complaining about. The pools & whirlpool is still not repaired.

Can you please advise when the club will stay open Monday thru Thursday to 11:00 pm (now it closes at 10:00 pm) & Friday until 10:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday until 8:00 pm.? Since COVID-19 of last year, this location was suppose to have renovations, since the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, there has been no activity.

Cardio equipment is in terrible condition! Has been even before the pandemic. Equipment doesn’t work 100%, rust all over the equipment from people’s salty sweat over the years, cup holders broken, don’t look like they’ve been cleaned in months.

Im very disappinted in the service. The LA fitness by my home has been closed for more then a year. I had been charged without notices. I was in the impression that I could only go to that gym since thats what was told since the start.

I want this to really take in consideration qnd really fo something about this I want to be refunded atleast half of all that was chatged all the way to April of 2020 this is so unprofessional of this gym to do and not notify us. La fitness has by far the worst customer service, I had better service paying $10 a month with planet fitness. If you make a complaint they don’t care, and won’t even apologize or own up to any mistakes they make.

They don’t keep record of things properly, and it’s so frustrating because they make you out to look crazy, my friend had a similar issues and they told her that they called and tried to inform her about an issue which she also stated they never reached out to her.

No matter who you speak to they don’t care. They’re suggestion was try going to a different LA, like are you paying for my gas? how about you train your staff correctly, than again it’s the managers that are worse, paying $30 dollars a month for crappy service is not what I signed up for, not to mention they lie…

The General Manager at the Redondo location stopped me and was very rude saying things like I could go to another gym and the guy that opened my account was fired for messing up paperwork that is a back office issue I shouldn’t of known that the employee was fired which raises my concern about my personal information I gave him. He made a racist comment and I’m doin my best to air out my experience to all my people of color.

In 1999 I became a member of Bally’s health club in Deerfield Illinois. A few years later L A Fitness took over and closed the club so consequently, I started to use the club in Morton Grove Illinois until it was demolished and we were told that we are going to be grandfathered to the cub on Touhy Ave when it will be constructed.

In 2014 I enrolled my new wife in the Morton Grove club and everything was alright. Due to personal issues and later on COVID19, I’ve frozen our memberships and paid the monthly freeze fees until now. At this time, we went to the club on Touhy Ave.

Esporta in Ocoee is badly run. Male cleaning attendants continue to walk in on undressed women in the locker rooms. Desk says they cannot find a female cleaning attendant. Complained to the desk people who said the males were NOT to go into female locker room until female attendant clears the area first.

They have been told and are not adhering. Twice this happened this month! The male cleaning attendant just walks in and refuses to leave whether women are using the locker rooms or not. The female locker room is dirty and not up to previous cleaning levels.

If a female cannot be hired to clean (perhaps you are not paying enough) get a contract with Molly Maids. At the rate things are going someone is going to file a sexual harassment suit.
