Bought a bunch of shiplap from menards and it's peeling and menards don't want to do anything about it. Home depot would definately stand behind this issue. So upset that I spent all this money and hard work and this shiplap is peeling and menards wont do anything about it.

Your customer service is sad. I will NEVER spend another penny at menards until they want to help me.

First I’ll say I have been shopping at menards for over 10 years. I use you for my business materials as I run a construction company. I like the rebates even though a lot of the materials is more expensive than lowes/home depot .

I alway have gone with myself and other employees as we usually get a lot of heavy items and need the Electra hands and vehicle space. We always have driven multiple vehicles into the back area to pick up items.

Today 10-27-22 we did as usual bought a lot of riffing materials shingles, plywood Ect. We drove to the back and as usual I say the work truck behind is with me most of the materials are going in that vehicle.

The service was unbelievable when I came to return a rented insulation machine.

Menards - Big Rapids Mi. Saturday October 8th 2022 About 12:00 pm My husband and I went to purchase the Shelter Wood Furnace that was on your sales floor. There were no associates at the service desk we went to in the Tool area.

When An associate did arrive it was a man in his early 40's short dark hair, 5'10" aprx. No name badge was seen. " The brash tone caught me of guard. But I let it go, And told him what we were looking to purchase, he gave me another attitude with a harumph sigh and said "give me the ticket with the sku". Again attitude.

I purchased 2 sheets of plywood. After I made my cutout and picking up the scrap pieces, I saw the layers had come apart. I checked my cutout and it too had areas where the layers were coming apart. Because I live about 40 mins away, one way, to the nearest Menards, I called and asked about returning the one sheet.

I specifically asked if I needed to bring all the cut pieces, a scrap, or what. The clerk, I thought she said Susan, said it didn't matter and wood is wood. I told her I had the receipt. She said that was fine.

I returned the store with a scrap piece to show what happened. The cashier got the manager, which ended up being an assistant manager, Bryan (I don't know the last name). He was very rude and instantly told me I needed to return the whole sheet.

On 10/03 I purchased a radiant heater at the Bridgeview Il store. Comfort Zone model # cz550. It was the only one on the shelf. When I opened the box it became obvious that it had been returned by another customer.

Parts were missing and the packaging was not original. I returned it to the store and was informed that the item was available in the Evergreen Park Il. facility. When I went there it showed on their computer that it was indeed in stock, but that turned out to be wrong. No heater.

This is not the first time that I purchased an item that was returned and defective. A fan I bought in the spring turned out to be used and damaged, dirty, bent and filthy. These items should never have been put back on the shelves.

I have been shopping at Menards in Elgin, IL. Went to return a hanging heater for the second time & was told by Manager Joshua/Jose in 10/3 I can't return it because it didn't show up in the system .

I bought there returned there & the person who did the exchange didn't do it properly or gift card didn't show a repurchase. 99 broken heater there and manager called me back saying I can't do anything for you. He was not helpful & could give a crap that I spend thousands of dollars yearly there as we have a business & he could give a crap.

He is a careless manager, unprofessional & poor customer service skills. The District Manager should know this and owner. Now I shop at Home Depot thanks yo him.

On June 11th I went to the Sioux City Menards and wanted to purchase new cabinets, sink , and countertop among other items so I can re-do my kitchen. We came with the measurements to make a purchase that day.

Our drive to the Sioux city store is a 1 hour drive there and 1hour back home. The person who help us that day was Henry. Henry was not very friendly toward us and he was being sarcastic and rude toward my husband who happens to be hispanic.

Henry's face seemed to be angry and very red we thought maybe he was having a bad day and we tried to ignore his behavior toward us mainly toward my husband. We told him that we would like to place an order for cabinets and a counter top and a new sink.

"That's not what they signed up for" Shopping at Monona store today, 9/27/22 @ 4:07, transaction #13866 11 6997 with cashier Gaston (very polite, efficient) I wanted to purchase 20 bags of water softener salt and asked Gaston to request some help. He had front end manger Scott come over. I indicated I wanted to pull up out front and load the salt. He told me..."That's not what they signed up for" and said I had to go to the yard.

I shared with him that I've tried the yard pick up process before, requesting assistance there, that both times came. I pleaded that I did not trust that process and that can assist in loading. He said he would allow front of store pick up one last time. That pick up went very well with my assisting and loading many of the bags with three other staff.

E. , Des Moines, IA. We had an extremely rude cashier! Her name was Denise and she definitely should not be working with the public. She was literally snarling at my daughter, who is very well behaved but asked the cashier a question.

She literally snapped sharply at my daughter! She then proceeded to argue with me over the debit card reader; saying I did it wrong and did not follow instructions. I am pretty tech-savvy and I followed the instructions on the key pad.

And even if I didn't she should not argue with customers; telling them over and over they are basically illiterate and stupid. I am a long time customer; my father in law works for Menards and my grandfather visits your store, almost every single day.

Totally redundant return policy. 3 different employees have to count and verify your building materials returns at 3 different places. Employees asked by me all hate the policy and find it cumbersome to comply with. Super time consuming waiting in 3 different lines to get your return handled.

My brother is a full time employee at Menards in Rolla Missouri. Yesterday he had massive Heart failure and is in a induced Coma in critical condition. He has no health insurance and I his brother is making all the Medical decision.

The Phelps county Hospital is assisting getting my brother your employee Medicaid. Medicaid requires a work pay stub. I have received zero help from Menards. I talked to the HQ's and the Rolla, Missouri store Assistant Manager. If my brother dies and can not get the assistant he needs over a Pay Stub that is big problem.

Material was purchased for a building project and the 11 percent rebate was declined. I was told, after my third request, that Menards wasn’t offering a rebate at that time. The only reason I went through Menards was for the rebate.

From northern Indiana helping flood victims in Kentucky. Drove 60 miles from work site to pick up green board (purple board). Hazard Kentucky didn't have any but said if we paid for it, the truck would be at the store Tuesday morning and we be guaranteed the supplies.

Paid for it, drove 60 miles again and said they had sold it. Not very good business. Lost a customer.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE; I went to Mendards on 8/21 to return a battery for a core charge. There was one person working. After 15 - 20 minutes she had to call someone to help. So you 2 people working on one problem even though the one was standing there doing nothing.

She could of helped someone else instead standing there. by this time, the line is about 5 people deep. after several more minutes another employee strolls up to the counter stuffing her face and then asks who she can help next.

Purchased sample can of stain. Returned to store next day to purchase two (2) gallons of sample color. Purchased. Once home and ready to apply, not the color of sample. Returned to store. Was told they could not make gallons like sample because they don't make sample brand anymore.

Should have been told this when making purchase. Not after the fact of making several trips to store. Did return paint and received refund,but my time getting paint and preparing to paint, made for a wasted day. Customer should be told this when requesting sample.

We received a email that our special order was in. We live 30 minutes from this store in Kokomo, Indiana. For three hours the doors couldn’t be found. They even gave him someone else’s order and he checked the sku and realized it wasn’t ours.

Today I spoke with GM. Garrett there and ask for a credit since he drove all the way there and didn’t get anything accomplished. He was VERY rude. I think they should give him something. We purchased all items there to remodel our bathroom.

We will never shop there again.

I purchased 4 boxes of marble stone on special order back in 2020 from Menards in Burlington WI. Due to the pandemic, I was no longer able to redo my bathroom with these tiles because I'm 70 and my wages were decreased.

I took the tiles to the store&told the manager the bank card used was destroyed& no longer used. He said he couldn't look the order up because it was 2 years ago. Is there any way you could help me get a credit at Menards for these?

Two times now I have paid my Menards credit card using chase bill pay and then get an email saying my payment will be due in a few days and when I call Menards they say they haven't received the payment yet. Menards is using the fact that chase uses the mail to send payment to claim that they haven't received the payment in order to charge me a late fee.

I have no trouble with any vendor for whom I make payments using chase bill pay. I have canceled my big green card an am through shopping at Menards.

I bought garden seeds in the Spring at your Findlay, Ohio Menards store. They were not worth carrying home. I bought peas, beans, radishes, carrots and lettuce. Not one bean came up, a few radishes came up but there was no radish on the end of the stalk. The amount of peas I could carry in the palm of one hand, not even enough for one person for a meal. The carrots have not been pulled yet but not very many of them came up. We did have a few meals of lettuce.

These seeds were not fresh seed. My guess is they were left over from last year. I went to another store and bought beans and they all came up but since I planted them late they are not ready to be picked. I bought a roll of Hummingbirds seeds comes in 10ft. roll. You roll it out in area you want to plant it then put top soil on top of it . Which i did and watered often nothing grew. I went to the store in Sioux city with my receipt to customer service desk they told me i would have to return it to get my money back there is no way that is possible .

Bought one cement paver to put under a hot water heater that I also bought that same day for a customer. I was charged $32 dollars for a piece of concrete when it was $14 dollars didn’t notice at time of purchase till I got paid from customer for installing heater.

Went to the Forest Lake location 7/29 to purchase lumber. There were signs in the lumber yard to scan for pricing. This was fine. I put everything I wanted in my online card with the quantities. I went to the front register to checkout instead of online because I was using a gift card.

The cashier didn't know what I was doing and called a supervisor. The supervisor approached the cashier and they both just stared at me without really engaging to figure out what I needed. I finally explained I've never purchased lumber before and asked if I was doing something wrong.

My wife called Springfield west store twice on the 21st of July 2022 to ask about a air conditioner we ordered. She talked to a woman named Maddie. She told her the air conditioner was in and sitting in the storage.

I drove 75 mile to the store to pick it up. When I got there they said it wasn't there. My wife called Maddie back. I was standing there as they talked. She informed my wife again on the phone it was there.

Menards won't make a return on something their employee messed up on. Bought a sink at a Ray's bin and was assured that will fit my new cabinets it does not fit my new cabinets. They will only return it for store credit I didn't use store credit when I bought it.

They say since it's been 90 days only store credit it's not my fault that their cabinets took 4 months to get delivered. Not to mention that all I did was write a check to Menards everything else I have to deal with a third party for the cabinets.

Their customer service is a joke and you can't call to make a complaint to anybody you have to do it in writing. That does not solve my problem now.

We ordered kitchen cabinets and when we went to pick them up they sat them in front of the car they expected me, my wife, and 75yr old neighbor lady to load them ourselves, as 3 guys road around on their forklifts. Only after my wife fell on the loading zone cement signs, a guy got off his forklift and offered to help.

We asked the guy if this was everything and they told us yes. When we got home, we were missing more than 1/2 our order. We discovered, we were given all the wrong door fronts and the wrong sink base.

I bought a microwave and dishwasher with extended warranties. Both are broken, I have been calling your extended warranty company since April 26, 2022. I had contacted then 17 times and spent a total of 191 minutes and 35 seconds of my life on the phone with them.

The technician has been here four times. My dishwasher still leaks, he replaced the magnetron on the microwave but while doing that he scratched up my glass stove top and messed up the door switch on the microwave, so now it only works sometimes.

He told me that i would have to live with the door switch issue and that there was nothing he could do about it. Between May 4th and June 22nd he would return my calls. The warranty place is no help, and now the tech VP's Appliance Repair in Cape refuses to come back.

I came to pick up my screen window after the 6th time at Menards in Vernon Hills. The 6th time I noticed that the springs were placed in the wrong place The employee, Oliva, was very rude. She said the job could be fixed in one hour, while her colleague said it shouldn’t take more than 25 minutes.

I returned after an hour, Oliva looked straight at me and walked out of the section without a word, she then returned after a while and tried to show herself busy with random tasks. I am a very loyal customer of Menards, and never before have I experienced such attitude and rudeness among the Menards employees.

I bet she is causing Menards to lose many customers with her crabby attitude.

Menards store on North Maize road Wichita Ks. I am 71 years old and just purchased a patio furniture set from your store. 00 Could not find a sales rep to help me. I read the sign to get a cart and go upstairs and load product my self.

The box was aprox 80 pounds. I did it my self. At check out I ask if some one could help me load it in my truck. They said yes and up showed an 80 pound young boy to help me.

I ended up doing all the lifting and he would not even help me slide it to the front of the bed. I was always bragging on menards but not any more. Thought you might want to know.. I was in retail business for business for 32 years and find this unacceptable . Sincerly, Bill Bogner

Horrid experience, Menards in Ballwin, MO. I Placed an order online in total close to $3000 the put it in 3 groups, after one week I received an email from the company letting me know that one of my 3 orders is ready to pick up, because I don't have a truck I called the store and

My husband and I were in the lumberyard of the greenwood Indiana menards, asked a kid where a certain size board was, he showed us and it was piled behind a big stack of something else, he was asked to move it with a forklift so we could get to the lumber we needed, he did not.

Then he proceeded to stand with another employee (kid) and screw around on their phones instead of helping my husband load the large amount of lumber we were picking up. I ended up getting out and helping him and the little jerks still just stood there and watched us.

Then to top if off about 4 or 5 more guys walk up and just watch !! Not one person offered to help. We spend a LOT of money with menards and do not appreciate the lack customer service out in the lumberyard this evening.

We purchased a vanity on 4-13-2021 and with major shipping delays due to the pandemic which is understandable we have been patient to finally have arrive 3-21-2022.

We picked up the same day later realized not all the parts were included and a major crack. Due to all the delays we decided to return it.

I purchased with a credit card and paid this a year ago and the only solution is an in store credit. No flexibility at all. I really don't need anything right now that I don't want a $640 going to an in store credit. Today 1/12/22 I was shopping at the Menards in Tinley Park ,Il. I purchased a n$6.00 toilet seat. When I went to the cashier she noticed that the packaging was open and I decided to get another one. I paid for the toilet seat ahead of time and then went to get a new one.

I called the store to inquire about a price adjustment. I talked to a very nice man named David, he told me all I need to do is bring in my receipt for the price adjustment. When I arrived at the store 35 minutes from my home, I was greeted with nothing but rudeness in front of other customers. The lady at the service desk told me they do not do price adjustments. When I told her what David told me in the phone, she called another person to assist me.

At the end of October wife and I decided we were going to redo some of our house, we went to Lowes and got most of the stuff but was told that their counter tops could take up to six weeks to get in. Not wanting to wait that long we elected to go to Menards and see how long it would take to get the counter tops.

They assured us it would be quicker than six weeks so we ordered a new quarts countertop. We also purchased a new sink from Menards to go with the countertops, we received an email the day we purchased our order and received the template for our countertops within about five days of our order.

After our installer checked the measurements, we went back to Menards where we watched the employee enter our new measurements. Believing this would be correct we did not order a new template…
